This water has an “exit” strategy! Fun Fact I learned here: Rivers are fed from two different sources, snow caps and glaciers. The way you can tell the difference is that a snow cap fed river is clear, but a glacier fed river is murky and gray like the one in this post. This is because as the glacier melts it also releases trapped sediment that was stuck in the ice for thousands of years. Kenai Fjords National Park is a unique place to see in Alaska with its numerous glaciers, icefields, vast forests and wildlife and of course cold.
