Ales (Sardinia). Via Br. Sassari. Walking through Ales. Slim guide for passengers and wayfarers. This is the last way we have to go in the Santa Maria neighborhood. Also this very long and twisted, is a bit the periphery of the primitive village gathered around the church. This street, whose initial part is now close to the center, in its continuation presents nothing in particular, only rather popular houses and others renovated. One of its characteristics was "su pontixeddu" (the small bridge), which allowed to avoid the stream that flowed there, coming from the countryside of Pau, made underground and joined to the one that descends from via Marconi. Today that characteristic corner has been further modified (only a piece of the retaining wall remains) and made unrecognizable, it was not a good idea.
