When will we get the extended version of MultiversePals.com?

Oh wow thanks so much for reaching out to ask! 🥰

I’ll use this chance to give a short answer and a long answer.

Short Answer: Probably next year.

Long Answer: MultiversePenPals.com/ExtendedEdition (whoof what a long title lol) is currently in my personal writing schedule to keep my fic priorities in check~ how fast I get through the schedule completely depends on life obviously. The biggest variable being if the words are wording and the creativity is creating. I’m currently also teaching myself to draw! Which is eating into my writing time smh.

So like yeah! Here is what you can expect to see from me in the foreseeable future:

The last chapter in my rewrite of the first few scenes of the 2007 TF Movie, focusing on Mikaela. This is halfway written and is already so long T.T I’m struggling on where to stop it since this rewrite is not meant to be the whole movie…

Revenge of the Warrior Goddess Ch 3

The last chapter in my rewrite of the first few scenes of Revenge of the Fallen, also focusing on Mikaela.

(Both of the above fics may be picked back up to have the full movies rewritten AFTER the current set of fic goals is completed)

A Spark’s Rhythm

The first few chapters need to be rewritten to be more compelling/flow better now that I’ve improved my writing skills a bit.

Ch 18 is halfway written and I’ve got a personal deadline for this chapter that may be bumping it up the list if I don’t get the words wording…

After ch 18, I’d like to get myself back on the roll of writing regularly for this fic in addition to any other fic projects.

Once the above goals are completed, then we’re back on the MultiversePenPals! My plan is to reread it, take notes with some fresh eyes, compare it to my old notes…then getting started on it :)

The Extended Edition will be in chapters, but I won’t be posting any of it until it is COMPLETELY written. I don’t want to have it out there as a wip when the original is already completed and everyone knows half of the story already 😅

2025 Big Bang

At the same time as the MultiversePenPals Extended Edition, I will be getting a head start on the 2025 Big Bang! It’s gonna be another big one so I want to work ahead. Currently deciding between an epic One Thousand and One Nights origin story with Thundercracker/Predaking or a cozy Sunny/Sides Stardew Valley AU…

Secret Solenoid Fic

Technically this fic is not last in the schedule. It will be gotten done on time to be given to my…uh…target lol. But I don’t know what the prompt is yet and how much I intend to write for it so I don’t know where it needs to be on the schedule right now :3

Bank holiday can only mean one thing!! 💍🧙‍♂️🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️🧝‍♂️🧔👬👬🌋 When I walked into a cinema in Birmingham with my friends in 2001, I had no idea how much this story would take ahold of me. My mates had never seen me so quiet as they found me during the nearly 3 hours of the released edition. I was captivated! This enchanting tale of good vs evil, heroes vs monsters, spoke to something deep within me, awakened an understanding, a joy I hadn't quite figured out before. As soon as I got home, I asked my mom if she had a copy, and then I spent every waking minute that I wasn't at school (even some that I was 🙊) reading. When I was done, I trawled the Internet daily for anything and everything related to Frodo and his quest. I became utterly obsessed! And it was through my passionate research of all things Middle Earth that I discovered fanfiction. It was through fanfiction that my love of writing blossomed. Ben und Baal redeten über Baal's Buchprojekt und Filme und was wichtig war in Geschichten für modernes Publikum, bevor sie sich wieder an die Songs setzten.

"Weißt du, es muss immer extrem sein. Die ganze Welt muss bedroht sein von einem ultimativen Übel. Man muss an das Zielpublikum denken. Die sind vom Fernsehen geprägt. Superhelden, Crash Boom Bang. Keinen interessiert mehr etwas gewöhnliches. Wenn es ein Ausschnitt aus einem gewöhnlichen Leben ist, muss es entweder witzig und absurd sein, oder jemand hat ein megakrasses persönliches Schicksal und befreit sich daraus heldenhaft. Man muss immer im Kopf haben, dass es auch ein Kinofilm sein könnte, sonst erregt es nicht genug aufsehen."

"Ich würde gerne mal BattleTech als Kinofilm sehen."

"Battletech?"

"Kampfroboter. Die Menschheit hat sich kreisrund im Universum ausgebreitet und es sind vielleicht 100 Systeme oder so kolonisiert. 2000 Jahre in die Zukunft. Sehr politisch, und alle machen Krieg mit riesigen Kampfrobotern. Aber sehr auf physikalisch korrekt getrimmt."

"Michael Bay oder was?"

"Ja nee, mehr wie Kriegsfilme, die sehr real wirken, die Maschinen sind nicht so perfekt, aber trotzdem konventionellen Panzern und so überlegen. Titanfall hat sich das ein bisschen abgeguckt. Dieses Computerspiel."

"Tja, als Computerspiel taugt sowas, aber für Kino ist das zu weit weg vom Zuschauer."

"Vielleicht als Serie. Könnte man vielleicht so machen wie Game of Thrones."

"Ja, die Leute stehen auf Sex und Gewalt und Krieg. Hauptsache man bedient die Schreibklischees. Fantasy braucht Krieg, Herr der Ringe Publikum. Oder Sex, Game of Thrones Publikum. Science Fiction muss das Star Wars Publikum ansprechen. Monster und Angst sind immer gut, das zieht Leute. Romantik muss witzig sein und ne moralische Lektion haben. Für alles gibt es ein Schema F. Man schreibt immer für einen Markt."

Ben machte ein HMMM-Geräusch. "Scheiße man, ist das nicht langweilig? Ich würde mich freuen, wenn es mal was Neues gäbe. Nicht immer nur die gleiche Scheiße. Und ich finde Science-Fiction sollte Fragen aufwerfen, philosophisch sein. Und dabei nah an den Fakten. Eine Zeitreisegeschichte zum Beispiel sollte immer zuerst erklären, wie Zeitreisen funktionieren, und sich dann auch an die Logik halten, sonst nervt das nur."

"Interessantes braucht kein Mensch. Spannung braucht man. Philosophisches ist öde. Emotion ist wichtig. Du muss sie dazu bringen, die Buchseiten umzublättern. Cliffhanger. Pageturner. Es gibt feste Erzählstrukturen, die funktionieren. Alle nutzen das. Disney. Hollywood. Alles dieselben Strukturen, aber halt weil sie funktionieren. Dann macht man jede Menge Fortsetzungen, Serien, und verdient fett Kohle."

"Wenn ich schreiben würde, würd’ ich versuchen, Kunst zu machen. Etwas Außergewöhnliches halt. Außerdem ist das echte Leben doch interessant genug. Ich meine wir haben hier ‘ne waschechte Metalband! Wir kiffen. Wir haben Spaß!"

"Sicher, Hauptsache man arbeitet mit den Klischees. Das Publikum muss sich wiederfinden, und das, was die Leute glauben zu wissen. Das gibt denen ein gutes Gefühl, wenn alles so ist, wie die sich das eh schon vorstellen.  Und alles schön einfach halten. Die müssen am Ende ja alle begreifen, worum es geht. Man will ja Kohle verdienen mit den kleinen Wichsern."

"Klischees sind doch überstrapaziert. Wär’ das nicht toll, wenn man mal gar nicht das Vorfindet, was man erwartet? Irgendetwas … außergewöhnliches?" Ben sah auf seine Armbanduhr, dann zur Tür.

"Weißt du, die Jugend von heute sind dein Zielpublikum. Und für die ist absolut alles außergewöhnlich. Am besten schreibt man mit einem Ich-Erzähler, da können die sich am besten reinfühlen. Unsichere, kleine Wichser, die aber irgendwas magisches haben, womit sie dann die Welt retten können, nachdem sie ihren Ben Kenobi gefunden haben. Eine schöne Lehrgeschichte, wie bei Karate Kid. Erst ist der Protagonist dumm und wird verdroschen, dann lernt er ‘ne wichtige Lektion, und am Ende verhaut er den Bad Boy."

"Wenn das mal in echt so wäre, dass die Leute etwas lernen würden, im Kern bleiben die doch eh immer gleich."

"Naja, so eine Geschichte muss ja nicht realistisch sein, alle großen Geschichten drehen sich darum, dass die Hauptfigur sich sehr verändert und die Lektionen des Lebens lernt, damit die Leute auch am Ende des Buches irgendeine Lektion gelernt haben und dir eine gute Amazon Bewertung schreiben."

"Naja, ich glaube, Schreiben wäre nichts für mich."

"Das glaube ich auch." Baal lachte. "Wollen wir uns nochmal an die Songs setzen?"
