The Miranda rights, are they working?

American incarceration rate 810 per 100,000

How the hell is the presence of Miranda rights worth bringing up in the context of whether or not America is a better country than Canada?

Again I think they both suck major ass so that's not even the issue at hand here the issue is how the hell did you think that was a good point in favor of the States?

If I missed something and I am being unfair please feel free to correct me but right now it looks like you were drawing attention to a largely ineffective measure for protecting people from undue prosecution while simultaneously ignoring the far higher level of actual prosecution in the US.

When you look at the facts it appears that either there are way more crimes committed in the US or that Americans are prosecuted much more aggressively than in Canada.

Neither of those is a point in favor of America, and the second at least renders the whole Miranda rights thing moot.

It's possible she literally can't help it. The brain uses shortcuts and she still has one for [deadname] and that part of her brain is faster than the bit that can correct it.

No, it’s more like, if someone else misgenders me she’ll correct them and say “It’s okay if I do it as long as I correct myself. Because I was there when Nathan was (deadname).” She’s not calling me by my deadname at any time unless she’s correcting someone’s pronouns for me.
