Fandom Problem #9065:

(This is a two parter because both are focused on the legend of zelda franchise fandom)

Complaint one:

Okay so I am saying this as both a zelink (zelda x link) shipper and a multishipper, but for the others who need to hear it—it's okay to let others ship link with different characters! Please, please stop bitching and whining about midlink, llink, miplink, sidlink, palink, malink, peatrink, groolink, and the countless other ships that I am not going to list for everyones sanity! It's even okay to admit that sometimes he has better chemistry with other characters and to choose to change that for your headcanon! Zelink is still the most popular ship with an overwhelming majority of the ship content made for it, let others enjoy their rarepairs without harrassment or petty little comments about how it isn't canon or how link has better chemistry with zelda. Just scroll/mute/block and move on if you don't like it, what happen to the golden rule of "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all"?

(Also, here's a break down for the non-zelda fans btw for whoever wants it/are confused):

Midlink = midna x link from twilight princess

Llink = llia x link from twilight princess

Miphlink = mipha x link from breath of the wild

Sidlink = sidon x link from breath of the wild/tears of the kingdom

Palink = paya x link from breath of the wild

Malink = malon x link from ocarina of time

Peatrink = peatrice x link from skyward sword

Groolink = groose x link from skyward sword

Complaint two:

Can people please start tagging their hylia bashing? I am not asking anyone to stop bashing, just to tag it.

Because canonically, she isn't this super duper actually evil being who's worst then demise. Canonically, only the first link and zelda were suppose to exist and fight and conquer the evil of demise, which while bad, is a lesser evil that she probably say as something she had to do. Canonically, all the reincarnation cycles and the doomed cycle of evil rising and good (often the good being child heros) having to cleanse it is all due to demise's curse. Canonically, hylia the goddesses is dead, only her blood and echoes remains as she quite literally gave up her godhood and life to be reborn into a mortal to save the world—a mortal who was never meant to continue to carry her burned all the way down her bloodline, it was only ever meant to be just the direction reincarnation who inherited her war—a war that demise started by the way.

I get that y'all have religious trauma and project it onto hylia and shape her into views and feelings on which "god"/religious figure that was used you hurt you, and that's a wonderful practice of art therapy, but it's still a mischaracterization of her character and character bashing so please, just add a little "#bashing" and/or "#hylia bashing" to your tags. I find both her character interesting and comforting and it sucks not being able to go into the tags without seeing the majority of it be just untagged bashing
