BBC Merlin has its own aesthetic!

I was meandering across the pages of Aesthetics Wiki and saw a page called FantasY2K - and BBC Merlin is listed as one of the main pieces of media that fall under this aesthetic:

Merlin has also been listed as related media under Medieval Fantasy, Knightcore, Kingcore, and Princecore, although I personally believe it fits well under some others as well including Woodland goth and Wizardcore.

I might end up writing a separate post about Knightcore, my interpretation of it, and how BBC Merlin is a perfect representation of it. Defining and breaking down different "aesthetics" is really fun for me, so lmk if you want to discuss any specific ones (my asks and dms are wide open!)

Well due to the Cappyverse being bloated right now. Marianne and Snowden are an only child. Marianne only have acquaintances and not friends. So can can be quite lonely deep down for a 28 years old adult. They are the current generation of the Nymphs and they are OCs. Maybe I could develop a story to introduce them. The only person who Snowden truly considers as his friend would be Chinatsu, daughter of Chase and Kimiko, created by @ej-cappy-universe. (He does not show it or tell anyone he is because he doesn’t wants his friendship with Chinatsu to be used against him as his weakness. That is why he and Chinatsu acts like professional business partners/crime lords with one another in the public and when they are alone, mutual friends.)

💙 - Describe their bedroom! Is it personalized, unchanged? Messy, neat?

Snowden: The aesthetic of his room is a combination of FantasY2K and Italian Mafia aesthetic. His room is dark. He keep fedoras, sleek glasses, gun holsters, peacoats, button-up shirts, and suits in his wardrobe, either clustered or hanging in an organized manner. He have a jewelry box on his nightstand. Inside his jewelry box are a gold chain, two brass knuckles, a gold cross necklace, and a couples of signet rings. Most part of his room is clean. Lots of books are tucked in his bookcase. His desk is dusty and filled with papers and blue and black pens and have an untidy bed. The room of his is under high security.

Marianne: Her room is automatically clean by magic. The aesthetic of her room is Romanticism Academia. Her bed have white bed sheets, a stack of perfumes on her mirror stand, arranged in alphabetical order, and a pink and gold Bergére chair. She have a bookcase of old books and a desk that a typewriter is placed there. A photo of her parents, grandparents, her aunt and uncle is hanging up in her room in a golden picture frame. A photo of Kingsleigh, printed in a kiss mark is hanged in the mirror of her mirror stand.

A follow up to a previous post, here’s some more information about her c:

Text; Morgan, uses she/they pronouns. They are 15 years old, a demigirl and pan. They are Croatian American, living in the USA.

She likes theatre class, playing D&D, fantasy movies and books, medieval history, renaissance fairs, writing fanfiction, her cape and elf ears, performing, Lord of the Rings, playing Runescape.

‪She dislikes being called over-dramatic, being told to remove her cape and elf ears, laugh tracks on sitcoms, silence, getting her braces readjusted.‬

‪Morgan is an eccentric, over dramatic, assertive and occasionally narcissistic girl who loves theatre, live action roleplaying and playing D&D and RuneScape for hours. She can be unintentionally really funny and thinks of herself as a leader.‬

Morgan wants to be an actor one day and is confident about herself and her future, always being one step ahead with having plans and a tight schedule and routine that she always follows.

She is elf-kin and the most bold of the group, sometimes being a bit too overbearing. But, she loves her friends and cares about all of them deeply. Morgan doesn’t intend to be a bit much, she’s just a bit of a perfectionist and idealist.
