OKAY I'LL SUMMARIZE
So JD Vance is Trump's veep pick to replace Mike Pence (who made the fatal GOP error of following the constitution on J6 2020 and not announcing Trump as eternal godking)
Overall, Vance's rollout since the GOP convention has been
not
great
Now, some important context is that a bunch of extremely sexist and off-putting video has surfaced from previous campaigns, podcasts, etc. For example:
In a 2021 appearance on Tucker Carlson’s former Fox News show, Vance, who was then a candidate for the Ohio Senate, told Carlson that the United States was being run by “a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too.”
This generated a lot of outrage, as you'd expect, and the current peak result of this quote is major news outlets talking about Jennifer Aniston calling him heartless. Vance's other quotes are driving a lot of news stories, they can be looked up, yadda yadda, but they're not really part of this particular saga.
No, what's really captured people's attention about Vance is this one tweet that someone dashed off:
Damn, it even has page numbers cited! It must be legit, right?
No. It's totally made up. But people wanted to believe, and boy, did they run with it. A sample:
Snopes chimed in with a factcheck on whether that text was in Vance's book, and no, it was not.
The Associated Press tried to do the same, but there's one problem: they phrased their headline a little differently.
And people pointed out that while you can objectively verify whether certain text is contained inside a book, you can't actually verify that Vance has never had sex with a couch! Whether for the AP realizing that they'd posted an unverifiable "factcheck" headline, or for an editor going "why the fuck did you write that in the first place," this soon happened:
Which means that if you try to visit the article saying that no, Vance didn't fuck a couch, you see this:
As many people immediately realized: it's funny to have the AP run its initial headline; it's fucking hilarious for them to pull the factcheck after its publication. The collective hilarity surged even higher.
So. Where things are by July 25th:
So yeah.
Vance's rollout has had some issues.
I do love Tumblr's isolation from some topics, but we're tragically missing out on the JD Vance couchfucking saga

I might be a covidiot because im always in doubt.
I need to write before my brain collapsed to this unstructurized overthinking.
Ragu buat nulis ini tp tulisan aku ga mungkin viral juga so i'll write what inside this brain anyway.
Covid sudah hampir 2 tahun.
Generally di awal, terbagi dua kubu. Percaya covid dan tidak percaya covid. Yang tidak percaya covid dianggap mabuk konspirasi. Then it developed, i guess? Tidak percaya covid mungkin terlalu ekstrem sehingga berubah menjadi kelompok orang2 yang percaya covid memang ada, tapi tidak semenyeramkan itu, tidak seberbahaya itu, just a usual flu, so menurut mereka: "santuy ajaa"
Which one is me?
I'm not gonna tell. But my brain is getting overwhelmed recently. I do believe in science. I am doing research. I am fully aware that we need and will always need science. Kalau di kurva Dunning Krugger, I either still stupid and not confidence or a bit smart but not confidence. Either way i am not smart and confidence enough to tell things to people. Just to give disclaimer that i am just nobody.
Oh yes of course, itu pasti suatu keniscayaan ketika penyakit-baru muncul. Bukti2 ilmiah masih terbatas so trial and errors will be one way. Bless the patients. Now its been almost 2 years. Riset tentang covid luar biasa banyaaaakk sekali.
Aku bukan penggila konspirasi. What expose us more, build us more.
Scepticism is sometimes needed, no? Or maybe i got some trust issues. So, when a statement about covid comes out, aku sering berusaha untuk baca risetnya sendiri, melakuan appraisal dari mulai kualitas jurnalnya, desain dan metode, penarikan kesimpulan, conflict of interest (walau kadang ga ditulis padahal ada), sampai funding. We can not only read abstract since it doesnt give us that much. Sometimes author just put what interesting or what they want the result to be to make the abstract attractive, no?
But i dont always do that. Often, i simply too lazy. This is what we call as a lazy perfectionist, its suffering. You keep thinking about that but you do nothing. That sucks.
Anyhow.
There are some concerns and/or questions pop up in my head that ive been trying to answer despite my laziness.
How dangerous covid is? The prevalence is high, yes. The transmission is high, mainly the delta varian. Yet the severity are classified. Otg, ringan, sedang, berat. Seberapa infeksius masing2 derajat? Theres one research say asymptomatic patients gives 1/5 transmission, which makes sense. I cannot say things like that without evidence i know but some of these are just logic.
But how if we compare it to other infections just like 'conspiracies people' ask. Now my questions shift. How covid affect a person with pure covid and a person with comorbids (say with hypertention diabetes, asmatic, and all)? Does the infection worsen the conditions that much? How risk benefit analysis is done toward these comorbids and polypharmacy patients since drugs themselves also not fully safe? As a clinical pharmacist, i learn adverse drug reactions and drug interaction theoritically. Am i scared to drug? Often, yes. Because drug interations are hard to analyze in clinical settings. I believe doctors will use their expertise experience rather than theory. So yes i am scared because nothing is absolute. The reason I still keep my prokes and dont want to get infected is because i dont want to consume the drugs. In these ongoing drug trials everywhere, nothing I can trust 100% haha. And yes, aku panik sama orang tua yang sering keluyuran. Mereka komorbid.
But please never pray for me to have a relative that got severe sick due to covid just to make me believe 100%. Please no. Aku percaya covid and i dont wanna get infected.
Well anyway, aku gerah dengan keadaan. Indonesia ga seperti Singapura atau New Zealand yang, mau covid itu bahaya atau ngga, fasilitas dan sdm mereka mumpuni, penduduk mereka sedikit, it will more controllable. Sedangkan Indonesia, aku lelah baca berita yang bilang IGD dimana2 penuh. BOR 90% terisi.
I mean, can we be more detail toward degree of severity and its effect? But, can we be even more detail and deepeer about this? And again, how risk benefit analysis is done toward comorbid and polypharmacy patients? Safety obat kadang dianaktirikan. Overtreatment sometimes chosen to avoid covid kill the patients. Well, drugs can kill patients too. This is why dokter/nakes smart memang dibutuhkan.
So, i need to know more about poor outcome in symptomatic and asymptomatic covid adjusted to every concurrent drugs and medical conditions and adjusted to availibility of isolation room and resources and adjusted to everything lol. How infectious asymptomatic covid is and should we worry about it compare to any other disease. QoL symptomatic covid 19 patients compare to other infectious disease. how is association between happy hypoxia and covid, severity, outcomes, should we worry. What are the updates treatment now and why and how and are they safe and effective? How urgent vaccines are (in deeper analysis) - i already got my vaccination schedule, dont worry. And the biggest questions since mutations are the devil now, every W-H questions about mutations are stuck in my brain now. This is only clinical questions, there are way more abundant.
Kenapa? Because i know i am not smart, masih anak bawang yang banyak gataunya. Masih males baca riset. Dan gampang overwhelmed sm tsunami informasi. Dan mutasi. Ergh. Berasa harus baca riset2 covid dari awal. There are a lot of things i need to learn. Semoga Allah selalu memberi petunjuk dalam setiap pengambilan keputusan. Aamiin

The Harry bashing is unfair and some understanding and compassion applied. Yes he should not have gotten involved with her or hung around SH. Clean it up Harry. But I say what I have said since early on - she is a narc. She is like krazy glue - attaches herself to you and won’t let go. She uses her pr apparatus and knowledge, her allies, the gossip rags willingness to print anything to make $$ to create an illusion. For a year she created the illusion of an affair with Harry. That affair was thoroughly debunked by the blogs NYC JD AHPF and us posting here. The RF just ignored her and failed to emphatically state she was telling lies so she was able to carry this sham affair on. I am one who thinks that was an error on their part but they are in charge. Eh!
Then she ambushed him at IG and found a way to coerce him into a fake engagement. This engagement is just a continuation of the fake affair - pr, media and brands making $$ and the same passive resistance by the BRF. It has an end date. It seems inexplicable to most but you must try to understand the craziness of a narc. Normal behavior is not for them - rules are not for them - they will do whatever they think will allow them to reach their goal including threats. Harry was left with few viable choices and he gave in to her plan to protect himself and his family. Her ace is the race issue. Once an accusation of racism is made there are many who would believe it without any ability to persuade them otherwise. That would be a devastating charge against the RF.
Markle exists in a world of delusion - that she is sooo remarkable that she thinks can control people especially she can control Harry first with sex flattery now through threats manipulation. She thinks she can bend your mind with her pr - that is why she attacks tumblr so much. Tumblr and other sites do not bend to her mind control attempts. She believes her own pr which is a fatal flaw.
I can see that many do not understand the strategy being used. Passive resistance til the end date arrives. Neutralize her race card by extending all public courtesy to her. Every effort made to support her. But let the public see the issue is not race but her CHARACTER. Which she reveals.
Look at the IG pics, look at the pics of Harry’s interactions with her. Consider the planning for this wedding we have observed is unlike any royal wedding ever. Look at the evidence presented here of her lies her past behavior in relationships. See the truth.
Harry is not weak he is not desperate. He is not betraying his Queen. Yes he can be a jerk but we have seen his dedication and his service. Have patience. Understanding. Confidence. This will end. No wedding.
Thank you ckob

What Christians need to know about Islam and its Eschatology
Listen to Today's Program JD: I think we need to look at some of the basic foundations of Islam and ultimately to believe. DJ: Well there are five pillars of the faith which actually outline what Muslims are expected to do. The first is the declaration of faith the shahada which says that there is no God but Allah and Mohammad is his prophet. And so by doing that that is actually how someone becomes a Muslim. There are other things they must do that is praying five times a day, fasting, giving alms and then at least once in their lifetime preform the Hajj which is the trip to Mecca. And then there are six articles of faith just to know they would include things like belief in Allah, belief in angels, belief in the prophets of Allah, belief in the books of Allah, and belief in the ultimate decree of God which results in ultimately fatalism. JD: In reality David we’ve discussed Islam on this program in the past and you’ve studied Islam for a number of years but let me ask you this, as you have been digging deeper in your research for the course was there anything that really struck you about Islam that you might not have been as of aware of as you are right now? DJ: I really brought this out in one of the hours toward the end of the course. So many touch points of correspondents between Islamic eschatology and Biblical eschatology. It was clear that Mohammad must have had some knowledge of the Christian scriptures and there were Christians in that area and so there are a lot touch points. And what I would suggest is that is has always happened in history Satan is very much aware of the revelation of God of the Bible and the prophecies that were made and both the Hebrew scriptures and the Christian scriptures and the New Testament. And I would say he has taken those truths and he has introduced error so that there’s a mixture of truth and error and this is what causes some people to think that there’s not much difference when there actually is. There is significant differences in the eschatology. You must be carful not to be deceived by what I would call satanic theology and superficial parallels. JD: David James with an understanding of Islam and its eschatology.
We report this information because it is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
David James recently taught at our School of Prophets understanding Islam. In this brief program there was no way to give all the details of a ten-hour course. David in his previous statement explained the five tenants of Islam and a brief look at Islamic eschatology. The bottom line is that Islam is a satanic faith since it denies that Jesus Christ is the Son of God in the living flesh. I John 4:3 says denying that Jesus is the Son of the true God makes you an antichrist.

Everybody's clear?
Jadi ceritanya saya masih dalam euforia ACLS nih.
Masih terasa berdebarnya ujian megacode, ditambah saya dapet jackpot instruktur/penguji yg paling killer.
Oya, ACLS nya dilaksanakan 9-11 Februari di PERKI House, Benhil Jakarta.
1 kelas ada 30 orang.
Hari pertama:
• Pembekalan BHD, lanjut praktek RJP dgn souvenir face mask yg dikasih di meja pendaftaran.
• Post test BCLS dan Pre Test ACLS. FYI, buku modul merah-biru yg dikirim jauh2 hari itu nyatanya baru saya baca H-1 malemnya 😂 *kebiasaan
• Materi lagi, praktek lagi.
Hari kedua:
• Materi, siangnya simulasi megacode dgn kelompok kecil yg isinya 5-6 orang.
Nyatanya? Tangan kirinya maen 😪😂
Saya khawatir tangan kirinya bernasib sama wk.
Hari ketiga:
Langsung ujian tulis post test ACLS.
Dan ujian megacode.
Yap, tibalah giliran saya. Penguji yg tidak lain adalah Sp.JP melontarkan pertanyaan pertama: "kamu beneran ga lagi hamil kan?"
*ACLS ini dikontraindikasi kan utk bumil usia kehamilan berapapun. Karna RJP berisiko abortus/hal lain yg tdk diinginkan.
Saya jawab: "engga dok, ini bajunya aja yg besar hehe"
Trs nanya lagi: "kamu waktu di kuliah dulu pasti rajin ya? Kamu seringnya dicontekin apa nyontek?"
Saya: "ha engga dok biasa aja. Saya ga nyontek dan ga nyontekin dok."
Langsung disambut ketawa sambil bilang "haha parnoan ya kamu."
Saya: "pernah sekalinya nyontekin saya disuruh keluar dok"
Oke, dimulai kasusnya.
Wanita 50 tahun dgn nyeri dada.
Seinget saya gini:
Awalnya mengarah ke STEMI dgn hipotensi. Udh pasang oksigen, IV line, monitor, dikasi aspilet sm cpg, di fibrinolisis karna onset baru 2 jam, dan akses PCI perlu waktu 3 jam.
Setelah fibrinolisis, tetiba SVT HR 200 --> kardioversi.
1 kali kardioversi, masih SVT. Kedua kalinya, saya saking gugupnya kali, pas liat monitor bengong dan keburu mencet shock sebelum saya sadar irama jd STEMI lg.
Kena semprot dah. Hahaha
Lalu pasien tetiba ga nafas.
Langsung liat monitor, jadi VF.
Oke panggil orang buat RJP sama VTP.
Sambil saya siapin charge defib.
Siap, tinggal di delivered shock-nya. Succeed. 2 menit RJP, stop kompresi dan cek monitor lg--> masih VF.
Pas bilang i'm clear, you're clear, everybody's clear.
Sesuai kebiasaan yg selalu clear, saya pencet tombol shock dannn...
"BRAKKKKK"
Semua langsung menoleh ke meja beliau. Meja, untung kamu benda mati.
Saya terhentak kecil "Astagfirullah"
Saya lumayan bingung salah dimana. Trus beliau langsung nunjuk2 tangan temen saya yg jadi korban 10 Joule saya 😂😌.
Tangan temen saya sengaja ditaro di ujung bed sama penguji.
Bener2 ga terdugaah mbak-mas-adek-kakaa
"Lu liat ga sih tangan temen lu nempel di kasur?!! Gua tau lu ga liat sampe ujung. Lu ngerti gakk mata lu harus liat kemana waktu lu bilang i'm clear, you're clear, everybody's clear?"
"Lu udh ngelakuin 2 kesalahan tadi, sekarang ditambah lagi kesalahan fatal! Temen lu bisa meninggal cuman gara2 lu yg gak liat2 pas mau defib!"
Saya cuman bisa senyum tabah sambil tetap tenang. Adek pasrah bang!
"Nama lu siapa?"
"Dahlia"
"Oke nama lu gua coret!! Lu ngulang lagi sama gua Minggu depan!! Lu ga lulus."
Saya... Cuma.... Bisa.... Bilang... Astagfirulloh.. dan membayangkan harus izin lagi sama kapus, ngeluarin duit buat hotel lagi, bensin buat transport lagi, dll.
"Gua ga lulusin lu, biar lu inget selamanya kalo energi defib itu ga main2. Di lantai atas udah 2 orang yg ga lulus!"
Betul2 memang nih, separuh napas saya agak berat jadinya. Saya terus2an istighfar dan pasang muka biasa aja.
Selang berapa detik, setelah beliau ngeliat semua taring singanya, beliau bilang: "2 kali kesalahan lu, 1 fatal, kalo 1 lagi elu ngelakuin kesalahan, OUT!"
Fuiiih, leganyoo.
Pasiennya sempat 5x defib, hingga akhirnya ROSC.
ABCDE.
Airway, Breathing clear.
C-nya, tensi 80/50, HR 90, rhonki 1/4 lapang paru. Masuk Dobutamin 5 mcg/kgBB/menit.
Hmm fuuh, alhamdulillah selesai!
Tapi jangan sumringah dulu, beliau bilang grup saya 10 menit lagi ada responsi (tanya jawab) lagi dengan beliau.
Oh, mann. Ronde keduaa
Setelah ujian ada makan siang dengan menu lezat plus banyak variasi tp nafsu makan merosot karna belom kelar ujian hidup ini.
Temen saya yg tangannya jadi korban 10 Joule itu bilang, rasanya kayak kena pentol korek api. Saya ga nyangka, kirain ga ber-efek.
Dann beliau makin mengganas disini.
Beliau memberi kesan sweet ending disini.
Yapp, semua di kelas saya alhamdulillah dapet amplop yg berisi sertifikat dan pin unyu.
Pelatihan ACLS ini serasa membangunkan kecintaan saya yg dulu begitu membara terhadap ilmu jantung.
Saking membaranya, sempat jadi asap dan abu.
Jujur, saya kangen berat sama suasana IGD. Kangen tapi gamau juga suasana "bau"nya. Hahaha
(bau=hectic saking penuh pasien)

Covid-19 & The Way to An Automated Future!
The current pandemic is definitely playing its role in making us look for them quickly, so that we can make sure that these futuristic and autonomous models are able to deliver when needed.
To put it simply, the world has been on its toes since news of the coronavirus outbreak took the headlines by storm. Life has come to a halt, and governments are trying really hard to find out ways of combating this pandemic to the best of their capacities.
Millions of employees around the world have started working from home in the midst of this current situation. Countless retail businesses are having a hard time to take care of the supply, and customers too in their panic, have held up the stock of multiple items that range from toilet paper to food essentials.
In Wuhan though, which is the epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak, Chinese E-commerce brand JD tested autonomous delivery robots and ran its fully automatic warehouses for 24 hours each day to manage the increase in demand of items. With people locked down in their homes, the requirement of autonomous machines has never been more pronounced, where they are something more than mere concepts.
A future that relies on automation was already coming, but given the epidemic, it has led to the acceleration of this particular process. Problems and issues which existed in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) sector have been exposed. Just being aware of catchy words and the hype surrounding this concept might have been a hindrance in taking accurate note of the progress.
If things actually need to be accelerated for getting to an automated future quickly, there are some much-needed reforms that need more attention than ever-
1. A New Set of Evaluation Metrics
With more and more autonomous machines finding deployment in the outside world, the usual metrics like cycle time, speed and success rates are no longer the accurate providers of the complete scenario.
This is what needs to be done in this case-
We need to evaluate system reliabilities under uncertain situations with metrics like the degree of human intervention in particular automated processes.
More standards and industry tools that are capable of conducting an overall evaluation of system performance under multiple cases as real-life scenarios come with a lot of uncertainty.
A few years ago, DevOps arrived on the scene to cut the development cycle short and provide top-notch software. In comparison, AI and ML are pretty new. However, MLOps and AIOps are increasingly being used, marking a crucial shift from just AI/ML based research to their use in actual products.
2. Redesigning Communication & Error Handling
We might be years away from getting fully autonomous solutions, but robotics is still pretty able to bring immediate utility for us. Even if involved in the operations to a certain degree, companies can bring about a considerable reduction in labor and other costs.
There is a need to come up with different categories for errors at different levels, design appropriate protocols and ensure that taking care of fatal errors is the first priority in every such case where a system can stop and will need human involvement to take care of.
Detecting those errors which are untraceable by the system too is another difficult facet to come to terms with, highlighting the importance of two-way communication, allowing users to mark errors or bring a contingency plan in effect.
3. Redefining Interaction Between Machines & Humans
Coronavirus has forced a huge number of
companies in USA
to make a quick shift to the cloud through the adoption of automation. Because there are just a handful of people who are charged with managing a large fleet of robots, it is yet to be seen if there are right kinds of technologies with us to ensure that information is quickly transferred for swift decision- making.
When it is about providing input to robots, we normally rely on machines like tablets or computers. But, with time, as the information pile keeps on increasing and response time needs to be more efficient, looking into the technologies of AR/VR might provide a lot of answers to revolutionize human-machine interaction.
The current pandemic is definitely playing its role in making us look for them quickly so that we can make sure that these futuristic and autonomous models are able to deliver when needed.
The above points will definitely prove to be a lot of help to the producers of such systems in making breakthroughs quickly.

Will COVID-19 accelerate an automated future?
Millions of Americans have started to work from home amidst the current COVID-19 pandemic. Retailers have struggled with supply while nervous consumers are hoarding everything from toilet paper to hand soap. Across the globe, Chinese e-commerce giant JD began testing a level-4 autonomous delivery robot in Wuhan and running its automated warehouses 24 hours a day to cope with a surge in demand.
Suddenly, autonomous machines need to be better than just proof of concepts. They can no longer depend on on-site engineering support for edge cases. They must be robust enough to work independently across various real-life situations.
In some ways, the COVID-19 epidemic accelerates an automated future that’s already on its way. It has exposed problems that have long existed in the artificial intelligence (AI) venture scene: buzzwords and hype cloud people’s judgment, making it difficult to see real progress.
The industry needs to take on much-needed reforms towards real-world autonomous systems in the following three areas.
1. Rethink metrics
As more autonomous machines are deployed in the real world, conventional metrics such as speed, cycle time, or success rate can no longer represent the full picture. We need to measure the reliability of the system under uncertainties with robustness metrics such as the average number of human interventions.
We need more tools and industry standards to evaluate overall system performance across a wide range of scenarios because real life, unlike a controlled environment, is unpredictable.
If a delivery robot can reach a max speed of 4 MPH but cannot complete a single delivery without human support, the robot is not creating much value to its users.
DevOps emerged a few years ago to shorten the development cycle and continuously deliver high-quality software. In comparison to software engineering, AI or machine learning (ML) is much less mature. 87% of ML projects never go into production. However, recently we’ve started to see MLOps or AIOps appearing more and more.
This marks a crucial transition from AI/ML research to actual products that are used and tested every day. It requires a significant change in mindset to focus on quality assurance instead of state-of-the-art ML models. I’m not saying we can’t have both at the same time, but to date, we’ve seen much more emphasis on the latter.

2. Redesign error handling and communication
The recent shutdown of Starsky Robotics reminds us that we are still years away from fully autonomous solutions. That doesn’t mean robotics cannot bring immediate values to humans. Even if humans need to handle edge cases 15% of the time, that still means companies can reduce significant labor and integration costs.
However, AI companies currently tend to spend much more resources on building autonomous systems and much less time thinking about error handling and seamless hand-off between machines and humans.
We need a better way of handling and communicating errors, especially for ML products because ML is more probabilistic and less transparent. Therefore, showing the confidence level of model predictions or framing your predictions as suggestions instead of decisions are ways to gain trust with users.
We need to categorize errors into different levels, design different protocols accordingly, and prioritize minimizing fatal errors that stop the system and require human intervention. If fatal errors occur and the system isn’t working anymore, can we respond quickly and troubleshoot remotely?
The most difficult part is to identify the unknown unknowns, errors that systems cannot detect. Therefore, it’s also crucial to have two-way communication and allow users to flag errors or choose to activate the previously agreed fallback plan.
3. Redefine human-machine interaction
The novel coronavirus forces companies to more rapidly adopt automation and shift to the cloud. As fewer people control a larger number of robots, do we have the right tools and technologies to pass all the relevant information to that decision-maker promptly? Are there enough sensors on each robot to provide a full picture?
Today, we rely on tactile input like computers or tablets to control robots. Are these still the best interface as the amount of information soars and response time remains short? Should we reconsider human-machine interfaces that go beyond tactile, for example, voice, VR/AR or brain-machine interface?
We also need to decide who should be in control. As machines get smarter, should we always make the final call?
For example, who should be controlling an autonomous robotaxi? The car itself? The human safety driver? Someone who monitors a fleet of robotaxis remotely? The passengers? Under what situation? Or should it be a co-decision with weighted judgment by both humans and machines? What’s the ethical implication? Can the interface support multi-step co-decision making?
Ultimately, how do we design human-centered AI to make sure autonomous machines make our lives better, not worse? How do we automate the right use cases to augment humans? How do we build a hybrid team that delivers better outcomes and allows humans and machines to learn from each other?
There are still a lot of questions that we need to answer. And the current COVID-19 pandemic is pushing us to answer them more quickly so that would-be autonomous systems can deliver on their promise. If the makers of these systems can focus on the three areas I’ve outlined above, they’ll be better positioned to reach key conclusions more quickly. And that will ensure we’re heading in the right direction.
