a project I finally got around to finishing!! the mane 6, inspired by their earlier generation counterparts, within a medieval fantasy style setting. please don't repost without permission! you just need to ask.

some fun facts:

fluttershy is half unicorn here!! that's why she has the deer-like build and slightly long tail.

rarity is half horse

applejack is fully just a horse.

pinkie and rainbow are the only true ponies

their jobs (in the order shown in the lineup) are royal messenger, royal jester, royal menagerie keeper, royal tailor, royal orchard farmer and Queen Celestia's Most Specialest Student.

in this au, they all met due to working within the castle grounds.

in this au, celestia is queen, luna is still banished, and twilight is discouraged from making friends as it distracts her from her studies. she is celestia's heir and grew up in the castle.

they are all marekissers. lol. also rarity is transfem and rainbow is bigender.

Question from a (Still, Kinda) Clone Wars Fandom Newbie

…Okay, Fordo and Alpha-17. Tell me about 'em.

This is what I have gathered so far:

-Fordo has red armor and Alpha-17 has blue armor.

-Neither of these characters appeared in the 3D 2008 Clone Wars cartoon. Fordo is from the 2D 2003 Clone Wars cartoon, and Alpha-17 is from some comics? I think? (I haven't read the comics or watched the 2003 cartoon, and I'm only a short ways into the 2008 cartoon despite devouring fanmade content, and making some of my own, for months now.)

-They are both extremely tough warriors (even by clone standards) who have survived many, many battles.

What I'm confused about:

-Is Alpha-17 also in the 2003 cartoon? What few pictures I've seen so far of Fordo often have one or more blue-armored guys (whom I'm tempted to call "proto-Rexes") flanking him.

-If Alpha-17 isn't in the 2003 cartoon, is there any other canon material where he and Fordo met? Because in so many fanarts and joke-posts, they seem to be buddies.

-Why is Alpha-17 named like that?? He's the only clone I've heard of who has a number AND a word together, forming his singular name (rather than a separate nickname and call-number, like Rex / 7567, or a nickname just made FROM the call-number, like Fives and 99).

-HAVE THERE BEEN JOKEY MEMES ABOUT FORDO AND FRODO / LORD OF THE RINGS??! Because if there haven't THERE ABSOLUTELY NEED TO BE (IMHO)! XD

-Is there a canon reason Fordo and Alpha-17 are often cast (in joke-posts and fan-comics) as the trainers of the young cadets, and/or the babysitters of the "tubies?" It's 100% adorable and I approve, I just wondered if the fandom decided this all on their own, or if there was a canon reason.

-DID THEY NEVER SHOW A CLONE'S UN-HELMETED FACE IN THE 2D 2003 SHOW EVER?? Because I sure can't find any screenshots of them.

-Are Fordo and Alpha-17 among the very first clones who were created? (In-universe, I mean, not just "found in materials published before 2008 in real life." Because in so much fanmade content, they always seem slightly older than the 2008 characters in-universe.)

-What are their personalities beyond "tough (but apparently semi-patient with their younger brethren)"?

Oooh, thank you, those are really good ideas! A "peace zone," hmmm. Yeah, I'll have to tell Flare that when he wants to be a grouch, he needs to do it somewhere I can't hear. (He never gets truly hurtful or mean, don't worry--he's really supportive and sweet. He just sometimes can be a little moodier than the rest of us, when he and his brothers disagree on something, and he starts grumbling like a bantha with a fly in its wool.) And loud music sounds FUN!! 😃 Tenner just likes soft classical music, but Choppy and me like the Max Rebo band--that'd be really funny to meditate to THOSE! *giggle*

Oh, and I probably should've explained, the Council isn't normally sending ten-year-olds to fight, don't worry! I had only just been declared a Padawan, and they only sent me on peace missions with my Master, Kerro Leesh, to learn. (I still got to know some of his clones on those, especially my three best-friends-and-now-dads.) But there was a droid ambush on the way that no one had realized would be there, one day, and my poor Master Kerro was killed! Pong Krell (the old meanie, you may've heard of him) had also been sent along, and he decided to just up and knight me, because the neutral party had been promised two Knights to meet them. That was a horrible day, and it scared me a lot. 😢 And my clone-dads (especially Flare) were really mad about it--Flare almost punched Krell, but Chops held him back, 'cause he knew it would only make things worse.

So yeah, everyone (including me) knows I'm a little too young to be a Knight. But the Council didn't exactly know how to… "un-Knight" me. So now they send me holocrons to learn from, to catch up on my training, and they assigned me and my three clone-dads to the Corps of Aid. So, we don't fight on the frontlines, we just ferry supplies and provide help and relief to hurting Republic planets, after the Separatists have been chased off 'em. But we're cheering you guys on, out there keeping our Republic safe! Go kick those clankers for us real good, Commander Tano! And thanks again! 😊

Hello, Ahsoka! I'm Rinni, a Theelin Jedi a little younger than you (I'm ten). It's a long story, but I kinda got adopted by three clones--Tenner, Chops, and Flare. They're like my dads now, and I love them very much! Anyways, Flare is a little crankier than Chops and Tenner, and sometimes, when he gets grouchy with his brothers, it upsets my meditations. I can't clear my head when the people around me are arguing. I'll never be a good Jedi this way! How do you handle it when you have trouble meditating? Also do you have any advice for calming or cheering up a cranky clone? (I know you have lots of clone friends, maybe some of them get cranky too?)

Well, I wouldn’t call four years a little, but whatever you say, kid. Force, they’re really sending them out early huh? You should still be able to enjoy being an initiate :[ kar-i mean uh. Stupid war.

On to your question! Maybe you and your dads could set up a no-arguing area where you can meditate? Like a peace zone. When I can’t focus, it’s usually because I’m thinking too much, so what helps me personally is loud music and doing my katas in a moving meditation. The movement is familiar enough I don’t have to think about it, and the music helps me stop thinking to myself. You’ll have to figure out what works for you!

It’s not your job to cheer them up buddy. Your dads can calm themselves down, because they’re old, and that’s their job. If it’s bothering you, go ahead and tell them, yeah? They can help work out a solution with you. Good luck!

and another thing. I just had a thought of Tim being captured by whoever, really. honestly, the circumstances are not important.

i had a thought of Tim in danger, and he shouts for Jason. not Hood, Jason. And he knows he can use Jason’s name because when he gets here, all these people are fucking dead.

and i’m just picturing Bruce being on his way to help Tim, and all he can hear is Tim screaming for Jason. He’s about to drop down and take care of business, and then shots ring out.

bang. bang. bang.

he looks again and all three kidnappers are dead, Tim is untied, and Jason is holding Tim to his chest. “It’s okay,” He mutters, “I’m here. I gotcha.”

Tim would never dream of outing Bruce or Dick, or even Damian. There’d be someone around to hear it.

But Jason? When Tim is in danger, Jason never leaves survivors.

The Domino squad, post-war in my happy-ending "Peapod-'verse" AU. They move to Yavin 4, and as you can see, Echo, Hevy, and Cutup get to be on the chubby side! Because I think the idea of a large percentage of clones outgrowing their armor is honestly a really sweet reminder that they're not having to fight anymore, and life can be so good for them now. ❤️ (Also, Hevy good-naturedly jokes about his now-very-apt name like an absolute champ, with all his usual boisterous confidence. He even likes to tell wide-eyed youngsters that he defeated battle droids by sitting on them! 😁)
