inchresting to me to think about the fact that even if mack does visit will for #bostongirlsummer or even if they do train together in san jose or vancouver or wherever, it's honestly pretty likely that we'll end up finding out from toff or warso or cat or someone casually dropping the info on a pod or in an interview, or like a summer insta dump two months after the fact. the way that both of them are so private about eo, especially mack but also will, who apparently has all these tiktok drafts that he really could post whenever, mack wouldnt mind, yet he doesnt. their friendship isnt performative, it's not for a media circus, it's not meant for anybody but the two of them, just two boys shooting hoops and giggling together.

like will knows mack content is viral content. he could be reposted by every sports account on the internet every week if he wanted to, but he doesn’t want to. he’s selective. he’s protective. he’s like yeah i could post that video of mack snoring on my chest but that’s mine actually. we wouldn’t even know they were planning to move in together if toff hadn’t said so or if brodie hadnt asked specifically. they’re not hiding it they’re just like “this belongs to us and that’s enough.” they said privacy is the most romantic thing on earth.

and like. it’s so crazy because these are two of the most watched boys alive right now - young faces of the franchise, the rebuild, the country, etc etc - but the actual meat of their friendship, the real core of it, no one ever gets to see, that's just for them. they don’t perform it. they don’t offer it up. will could be putting out curated soft launches on insta every other week, he has the footage for sure. like there is a nonzero chance there is a video somewhere of mack feeding will a choc chip cookie in a hotel in winnipeg and we’re never gonna see it. we will die never seeing it.

Did i sit down and analyze this game for 3 hours straight because I'm hyperfixated on it? Yes, yes i did.

This isnt proof-read and long as hell so buckle up for a joyride, y'all (by the way, there's another TKATB fanfic in the works as we speak and also some fanart, though I'm not sure wether to post it or not... well, we'll see!)

Some of these might not seem all too thought through (??) Since i was kind of grasping at straws here (and it was like 2 a.m. lmao), so if y'all have questions/need me to elaborate or have theories of your own feel free to share!

(There's some inspiration here from other people in the Fandom, most of them from the community section on itch.io which isnt available any more)

Sol knows the player longer than we think

My theory ->

-Fantasia stated that one of her 3 biggest inspirations was the game AMNESIA

-In amnesia the mc loses her memory in an accident. One of the love interests is her childhood friend and also the only yandere in the game (at least from what i could find out)

-She already drew Sol with Forget-me-nots and in the valentines day special the boquet sol gave us also contained Forget-me-nots

-In the book (this gallery thing with all the cutscene images) on the top of sols page is written 'Remember Me' which implies we forgot about him

-Annabel Lee Poem:

+The poem contains the line 'I was a child, she was a child' which furthermore implies that Sol and MC knew each other as kids

+Except for the last two paragraphs the poem is written in past tense, which could be talking about sols POV with us

Perhaps MC had an accident, as mentioned above, and MCs father (highborn kinsmen) tore MC away from Sol to the countryside

+The poem mentions angels killing annabel lee which could also mean something like this: MC doesnt die but, however, gets amnesia. That way, the MC sol knows and loves is dead because MC no longer exists the way MC did before (also the fact that she forgot him)

Some people theorize MCs farm is near the sea and that is the reason why sol hates the sea (i believe the city is near the sea and that's where MC 'died' (maybe MC almost drowned and got Amnesia that way?(apparently its possible for people who almost drowned to get amnesia)))

+"The speaker loves annabel lee to the point of death and even after death" (MCs view how to interpret the poem) (-> Sol loves MC to 'death' (the day they got amnesia) and even after 'death' (after MC got amnesia and 'died' in a sense, as a person))

-sol says he thinks death is beautiful, i didn't really know what to make of that, the only conclusion i came to would be: If MC actually did drown and lose their memories due to that, sol might have been involved in MC drowning (or at least blames himself for that) but viewed MC losing their memories as a 'second chance' with them, since they can start from anew (perhaps he made some mistakes with MC in the past which all eventually built up to MC drowning (it could be that we were already teens at that point)

-sol states afterwards: "But people refused them to let them be together, as if fate refuses them to die together" which supports my theory that MC was taken from Sol by someone (most likely the father after he witnessed Sols behaviour and his final straw was MC drowning because of him) the 'let them die together' could mean something like their relationship 'dying' and then starting over again or perhaps he tried to die with them, who knows (all this is really far fetched i am grasping at straws here lmao)

-in a really quick scene right after he mutters "I'm won't let it happen to me... not again" (some people view this as Sol already lost someone he loved dearly but it could also be the MC who was taken from him

ANOTHER THING I COULD IMAGINE -ABOUT DYING TOGETHER COULD BE:

MC almost died, Sol went after them but they were already saved, Sol just didnt witness that and almost died himself/wanted to die but was saved from that by someone (maybe hyugo? Though, he is an exchange student)

-Another theory on hyugo. It's canon that he is an exchange student, however i do believe he is from this city (since he knows about the hierarchy and his brother Geo apparently is no exchange student), moved away and is now back for business (relating to his 'mafia schemes' but under the disguise of being an exchange student)

Maybe he moved around the same time MC left or some time after that

-Hyugo mentions on the rooftop that we remind him of someone and the pronoun of the person he refers to changes based on the one the player picked for the MC in the beginning. It could mean we remind him of someone else entirely, someone maybe not even related to sol (though i doubt that) or to the MC and he knows them from back then but maybe thought MC died as well and cant believe they actually survived (maybe he want to spike MCs memory by doing that)

-A dream within a dream: MC mentions that this poem, at least to them, talks about the uncertainty about something, like life (which could also imply that they might be uncertain about some things in their mife because they simply forgot them due to amnesia)

-THE SECOND DAY 'THE KINGDOM'

+some people think the kingdom (by the sea) refers to MCs farm and implies its near the sea, however in day 2 we find out about the hierarchy in the city and considering my theory that MC actually is from the city and almost drowned there, i believe the kingdom by the sea is the city. MC does mention in the beginning that they lived on the farm ever since they were a child, however, it could very well be that we moved there right after the incident that caused MCs amnesia (if MC was akid when it happened it would really matter because then it would still fit with the fact that they lived there since theyre a child, however if they were already a teen, perhaps the father moved there immediately to cut off all ties to Sol and told us we have always lived there on top of that (considering the previous theories)

The father also didnt seem fond of the idea that we go to the city (the fact that he is is indebted to someone from high class could imply he might be from there), that could be because he knows how dangerous the city is (and how we could potentially meet sol again)

-maybe the reason for the debt is that MCs father suddenly bought the farm land to get us away from the city as soon as possible and had to take on a loan from one of his contacts in the city

-we know that this is MCs last year at the university, if we say shes minimum 22, and was already in the school for 4 years that would mean she got there at 18. If the 'drowning theory' events took place when MC was a teen (like 16 maybe) it would explain why the father was indebted (i also think 2 years is an believable timeframe a higher class person would give someone to pay off their debt)

-at the end of day 2 sol says he's sorry for leaving us and "i dont know what I'll do if..." which supports my theory that he lost us once (and he blames himself as the reason (again, MC drowning?))

Sleepy Hollow and The kid at the back

-In the nicknames the boys have for MC (fantasia released that on twitter and tumblr) sol calls MC pumpkin (like the pumpkin of the headless horseman (also in the gallery there is a pumpkin above the book)) and Crowe calls them '(star-crossed) lover'

Star-crossed lovers are people who love each other but can't be together

I believe this might imply that, even though Crowe is the second romance option, MC can't be with him no matter what they do

I also found out that the nickname is a phrase from romeo and juliet (which furthermore implies crowe will die)

We know what romeo and juliet is about: romeo and juliet cant be together because their families are enemies (some people believe Crowes father might be them man MCs father owes money to(i personally doubt thah though but it would support this romeo and juliet situation)) and at the end romeo thinks that juliet died, kills himself and then juliet turns out to not be dead but kills herself after seeing romeo dead

-Jericho Ichabod is a character from Sleepy Hollow, along Katrina (the FMC who owns a farm (what a coincidence)) and Brom Bones (its implied he is the headless horseman). In the story, jericho courts Katrina at a party, she rejects him and on his way home the headless horseman kills him (in the scene where Sol accompanies MC to class he says 'it's always been you ichabod' which could furthermore imply that crowe or his family have something do to with the fact that Sol and MC arent together)

In the library scene with Crowe he asks MC about their opinion on marie Antoinette and when MC says something negative about her, his reaction seems kind of strange. MC also brought a book about torture devices and execution methods and in that book is a picture of 'The Executioner' and he has scars on his arms, wears a mask and a chained collar. This correlates with some of sols features. He has scars on his arms (as seen in one of fantasias drawings), wears a chocker (he also wears a mask when he breaks into MCs room but that's really something anyone who does that would do). This implies even more that he will kill crowe.

A lot of fics the time traveling jedi just folds and regressed into their past self which is a valid psych thing but you know what fics i dont see? The trust being broken irreversibly. The jedi spent 3 years fighting with the clones and the next TWENTY being hunted by them. Give me a jedi that cant be calm around their old men. That cant walk on a star destroyer without fear. That attacks everyone who loved and trusted them in this time before running because survival takes over. In Obi-Wan's and Ahsoka's case, fight and flee hardest against Anakin

Ben and Leia from the Kenobi series magically appear on the Negotiator/Resolute. Ben looks like he's homeless and Leia is a sassy child. Leia calls Ben "a old man that crawled out of a dumpster" and the clones laugh while Ben looks like he needs a drink. Cody sees how skinny Ben is and gets concerned. Anakin walks in on the clones thirsting over Ben and Anakin is traumatized. Obi-Wan thinks Ben must be a older brother or cousin or other relative of his birth family before he thinks time travel. Everyone thinks Ben is being cute by calling Leia "your highness" and "princess" before whoops what do you mean thats Alderaan's princess???

Same as above but sadder. Ben and Leia manage to slip out and by the time the group figures out Ben is Obi-Wan they're long gone. OR Ben looked around, realized he was surrounded by his trauma, and fought his way out. Either way Ben and Leia end up being chased by them planet to planet

Effie Trinket is a war criminal

I saw a post along those lines on Reddit the other day. Apparently this is a very unpopular take and tbh I'm totally surprised by it.

I understand that Effie is a very liked character, she is generally portrayed as sympathetic and showed a lot of remorse and guilt (at least in the movies) towards her involvement in the Hunger Games. I also recognize that she's not a politically powerful person in anyway or even in the furthest influential enough to have any say whether the Games exist or not.

In my opinion, that doesn't change a single thing. Societal norms and propaganda are no excuse for cruelty and abuse. Some people compared Effie's involvement in the Games to those of the regular Capitol residents in the way that both profit from the abuse and suffering of the Districts while accepting the games as is. This is very strange to me, because isn't there a clear and obvious difference between existing in a facist regime and actively choosing an occupation that requires you to be an active part in the torture and murder of children?

Some people said that we dont know if Effie took that job on her own free will, but come on? We know that Panem has strict rules for all of its citizens, but when did we reach the point of assuming the Capitolites are actually oppressed and forced into their occupations? Effie time and time again refers to escorting in the Games as an honor. She is proud of her work, for fucks sake! This isn't a woman that was forced into this. She thrives on it! The end of SOTR only supports this further.

And if people dont argue that shes been forced into escorting, they argue that with society being full of propaganda and treating the District residents as less than human, Effie couldnt have done anything different anyway.

As a german, I find that extremely offensive. I dont think I need to explain why its just so wrong to claim that not knowing better / following orders / being brainwashed is an excuse for violence. One thing my country's history taught me is that this is never the case.

Its also such a faulty argument, considering characters like Plutarch, Cinna or Cressida exist. I agree that you need some sort of outward opinion to break through the propaganda you consumed, you wont change your mind if you never hear different opinions. But like. Effie worked with Haymitch for 24 years. She had enough hands on experience with District residents that her empathy should have made her realize that they're people just like her at some point.

Then theres others that compare Effies participation in the Games and in the conclusive violence to Katniss shooting that woman in Mockingjay. Some even compared it to Rue suggesting to Katniss she drop the tracker jackers on the Careers, which is just - Urgh! Do we really need to explain how theres a difference between children being forced into life and death situations, and a privileged young woman actively choosing and occupation that is build and supports the murder of children.

And the extra tragic thing is that none of this changes the fact that deep in her heart, Effie probably actually thought she was doing the right thing. I think many people struggle to accept that the characters they like and sympathize with can be deeply flawed people. You dont need to have bad intentions to cause imensive harm.

Effie wasnt a bad person per se, but that doesnt take away from the badness of the things she helped do.

Pretty poorly. TLDR

The undersiders as a team have not bonded. They are in a fraught situation barely held together by their individual obligations to Jozef and the assumption that they are a proxy team slash frequent clients of his putting scrutiny and pressure on them from all sides, and times are aggressive towards each other. They are each in difficult positions and far more stressed physically and mentally due to the city being in tatters and Joe's involvement. There is very little love lost between the team and less trust. This is like a natural consequence of Joe's meddling but it sucks and Joe really doesn't fucking care. The undersiders right now are an annoying semi obligation he doesnt really care about beyond bare minimum support and he only ever gave half of a fuck because of Taylor and moving to why their lives indivudally suck....its weird!

Taylor has an extremely unhealthy relationship with Joe where she feels guilty and responsible for his actions and his inappropriate level of attachment to her despite the lack of actual contact. This trend starts from the very beginning where she "seduces" Joe over to villany via his shard and the problems start from there.

Lisa is just put into a torment nexus, BCF does not shy away from #dunking on her narrative wise. She attempts to manipulate Joe, 'falls in over her head' and Joe is continually aggressive towards her and leaving her to deal with the fallout of his more rash actions. Semi recently Joe came across a power that lets him spot manipulation so you know how that goes. Lisa has also spent much of her time with chronic headaches that only Joe can provide occasional relief from. Currently she is contemplating how to inform Joe of Noelle without causing an S Class event because she is unaware Joe and the Forge are already immune to anything Noelle could do anyway. Great.

Alec has had...changes. After the first clash with Bakuda, he was tortured with a blowtorch by the ABB. Joe used nanite technology to heal him and he discovered afterwards he couldn't hijack Bakuda. Joe with his technology went over his neural pathways and identified his brain as damaged due to his upbringing in Heartbreaker's household and in correcting it gave Alec a full range of emotion. Alec is now apparently the emotional center of the team while Taylor and Rachel are orbiting and Lisa and Brian attempt to control the situation. He is also not dealing with this particularly well but Joe approves of the change I guess. BCF and Joe are incredibly weird and hypocritical about neurological changes. So now he's made some attempts to reach out and support his teammates, i guess

Rachel honestly hasn't been given that much screen time. She initially was very against Joe joining the undersiders and was involved in some of their schisms about behavior like the grudge held against Alec for his failed hijack attempt. After the Forge debuts as a team she finds Fleet, a male AI, attractive and goes out on a date riding their dogs together. Rachel is largely positive towards the Forge.

Brian....jeeze where do I begin. I need to do a comprehensive post about his recent triple-terlude. But through most of the story he's been a frazzled control freak unaware of Aisha's contact with Joe. And his dad thinks he's gay now I guess.

As a bonus, Joe approached Lily with the offer to make her immortal via nanites and she also thought he was objectively hot and was like okay sure and now has some dumb sword from him. Joe cannot stop contacting children and telling them to not tell their authority figures.

I could elaborate on any of these but that would make a very long post so i would have to do them separately. Tumblr does have an image limit.

I was pondering Jotaros reaction to decenants of Dio and specifically Giorno [specifically in contrast to one of my own part five ocs who is decended from pre coffin/joestarbodysnaching Dio and also leads a life of crime in naples] and I wondered as tumblrs resident Jotaro understander how you think Giorno and Jotaro meeting would look like? Wwm/ta verse or otherwise. Personally I think not well at all, though with care it could improve [though i do also find them getting on really intresting]

first of all im giggling and kicking my feet and curling into a ball after being called "tumblrs resident Jotaro understander" u flatter me so much crow

but as for the meat of ur question i agree it likely wouldn't go well. in various aus it could go better but outside of like. eyes of heaven aus i cant see it going what we would call "well" at all just cause jotaro has no evidence of giorno's intentions and so he projects the worst of his expectations onto him. to an extent i think jotaro knows he's biased which is why he sent koichi to do the observation instead of going by himself (and him being willing to do that at all suggests to me he knows gio isn't like. Bad. as bad as dio) but he cant wash it away even with koichi's vouching cause with the appearance change (more like dio) and having such a powerful stand and fucking around with the mafia (think it reminds him of dio's cult tendencies). esp coupled with the fact giorno doesnt even know dio enough to hate him, jotaro would just. assume the worst me thinks. and the worst for gio isn't as bad as dio but it's still bad. like bad enough it could come to physical blows (30 year old jotaro kujo throwing a punch at his 15yo great uncle is fucking hilarious to think. parallels for how he met josuke).

i think that last point in particular would sour gio on jotaro as well cause he just wants to know his dad and when he tells jotaro this when jotaro mentions theyre family, jotaro jsut fucking attacks him lmao. but even before that, like jotaro i think giorno went into the conversation mad/upset. if jotaro is family why was he fucking stuck with his mom and step dad. why didnt anyone help him. gio would never actually say that or even allude to it (and i wonder if he'd even know himself that this upsets him) but it certainly makes him colder than he would otherwise be. i think giorno would also be very mad that apparently jotaro knew he existed but sent koichi after him instead of going himself. it somehow feels like yet another abandonment and on top of that he considers it cowardly of jotaro. another thing that sets him on edge is that he doesnt know what jotaro Wants from him and gio certainly doesnt know what he wants from him either, and for a person as proactive as gio, not knowing how to act to get what he wants out of the interaction stresses him out. he kinda jsut wants it all to be done before it even starts and then the fight LMAO

so yeah it would be rough. i think the fact ger/ge isnt the same stand as star platinum is what would make jotaro kinda calm down though. if he's not the same as star platinum he can't be the same as the world. if he's not the same as jotaro he can't be the same as dio. this of course makes jotaro feels worse about his own situation but it does make him more amendable about giorno, which is only doubled when polnareff Also vouches for gio (once jotaro meets him in coco jumbo post-fight). it would still take a while before they both accept each other as family but they wouldnt physically fight anymore post their first meeting LOL

MIDNIGHTS MANIFEST x TTPD

In the context of library science, a manuscript is defined as any hand-written item in the collections of a library or an archive. For example, a library's collection of hand-written letters or diaries is considered a manuscript collection.

Taylor writes handwritten notes. Taylor keeps diaries. This is her collection.

In Cornelia Street, she says "We were a fresh page on the desk Filling in the blanks as we go."

This album comes from the Desk of Taylor Swift and in Lavender Haze she wants to "get it off her chest, and get it off her desk."

From Taylor's tiktok Calendar of Events for Midnights release week it says "MANIFEST" underneath "Taylor Swift Midnights".(see photo below) I think this is referring to that The Midnights album IS the Manifest.

Manifest can mean : be evidence of; to prove. // show (a quality or feeling) by one's acts. // clear or obvious to the eye or mind. // (of an ailment) become apparent through the appearance of symptoms. // (of a ghost or spirit) appear. // to manifest something into existence.

This fits with the album Midnights and the release of TTPD afterwards.

Lets look into these meanings in relation to Midnights and TTPD and The Manuscript

to be evidence of - Midnights album shows evidence of whats to lead up to in TTPD. In Hits different Taylor says " I find the artifacts" "I trace the evidence, make it make some sense" It says "Artifacts" on each file/bonus track released so far for TTPD.

show a feeling of one acts - Midnights tells the feelings the actions of both her and her lover had on each other.

clear or obvious - its become clear in Midnights that he is losing her. She learns in Bejeweled when she decides to reclaim the land. I think Hits Different and You're Losing Me sum up the events of the whole album.

an ailment of symptoms - my heart wont start anymore- youre losing me // I wanted that pain, midnight rain // Sadness became my whole sky, bejeweled, // It only hurts this much right now, labyrinth// my sadness is contagious, hits different // etc. etc.

of a ghost or spirit - All of the people I've ghosted stand there in the room, anti-hero & I used to switch out these Kens, I'd just ghost, hits different - the TTPD album color of THE MANUSCRIPT is Ghosted White

you could also say Manifest can mean to think about something often and with focus until you receive it. It's the idea that if you want something, you can mentally attend to it and will it into existence.

In Midnights she wants to stay in that "Lavender Haze", manifesting to stay there for as long as she can. "I just wanna stay in that lavender haze" She also manifests in "PARIS" she sings "I wanna brainwash you Into loving me forever" then "Let the only flashing lights be the tower at midnight In my mind"

The flashing lights could be in reference to when there is warning signs they flash at you, but she doesnt want to see them, shes trying to ignore them.

She stares at the ceiling in LAVENDER HAZE and She draws a map on her bedroom ceiling in PARIS which connects the two songs.

bonus thought: In DEAR READER she says "Dear reader Get out your map, pick somewhere and just run" - She's realized that she shouldn't draw a map on the bed room ceiling but get out a real map.

Basically what I'm getting at is that this whole time Midnights has been a Manifest of whats to come in TTPD. She has been keeping TTPD a secret for 2 years, and wrote/recorded You're Losing Me in 2021 which would line up both albums simultaneously.

It seems to be a sister album like folklore and evermore are to each other.

This is just my theory. I do not claim to know anything about Taylor and her relationships. This is purely an opinion and observation from her album Midnights and little information about TTPD

RVB POKEMON AU except most of them dont have “battle teams” since most adults in the pokemon universe dont

RED TEAM

Grif: lv.31 Tropius, fruity king. Has a really close bond with his pokemon, and was never really interested in being a trainer.

Simmons: Has a full well-rounded team, and multiple in boxes he constantly switches out to give attention to. Ex-Pokémon trainer, and beat the gyms of his region, but stopped there. Main team… probably lv.70 Lucario, lv.80 Hydreigon, lv.77 Volcarona, lv.90 Sylveon, lv.80 Arcanine, lv.71 Gallade.

Sarge: lv.50 Red Garyados. Picky trainer that started later in life, and a picky pokemon to match. I think he caught him as a garyados after some anime-esque bonding scenario, but beforehand Sarge wasn’t much interested in having a pokemon of his own?

Donut: Pokemon coordinator, with a few battle pokemon! All of red team has the closest bonds to their pokemon, but Donut definitely makes it the most apparent! Donut will usually coordinate with his lv.30 Ninetales or lv.15 Jumpluff, and battles with his lv.45 Scolipede or lv.47 Luxray.

BLUE TEAM

Church: No pokemon, but a wild Shedinja seems to follow him around a lot! Tucker ends up catching the Shedinja before they leave the gulch for good.

Tucker: He wasnt interested in pokemon as a kid, but caught the Shedinja that used to follow church around. They bond over the weirdness thats epsilon.

Caboose: Ex-Trainer! He only has his base team, and has poured a LOT of love into training them! He definitely spoils them. A suprising ammount of his pokemon are… “stolen” from bad situations. lv.50 Shiny Galvantula, lv.65 Silvally, lv.75 Deoxys dont ask how…, lv.60 Cofagrigus, lv.55 Cacturne, and a lv.60 Arcanine that has playdates with Simmons’.

Kai: lv.30 plusle and minun! Not a trainer or coordinator, but loves her pokemon!

Misc and Freelancers in another post im sleepy… if someone wants to show me their pokemon headcanons please give em!

Simmons having the “strongest team” even amongst some freelancers (will write later) is really important to his characterization to me? He doesnt talk about the fact that he was an Extremely Successful pokemon trainer much at all, and his pokemon usually only battle eachother (or have private battles with caboose’s) so no ones really shown how strong his pokemon and his bonds with his pokemon are! Just kind of like how he’s always walked all over and stepped on. He definitely bonds with Donut since he has one of the “weakest” pokemon in the gulch, level wise.

Church (and temporarily Tucker) never having pokemon is also really important to me!! Something something trauma and subjugation, but I also like the connection of alpha!church dying, and leaving behind two best friends who only bond after his death- Tucker, and the Shedinja. Especially since Tucker and Church’s friendship gets glossed over so often.

Most people dont know Caboose has a Deoxys, even the reds and blues dont find out till a LONG time. Deoxys does love to battle, but hates people knowing it exists as it considers that dangerous, so for the longest time only Caboose and Simmons knew. The people “in the know” expand over the seasons through accidents or big dramatic happenstances. Usually the “bad guys” only find out right before they see the red n blue alien hyperbeam their brains into dust.

i got into pokemon again and i thought of a team for reca, and also my oc (who ive decided to name abezethibou aka zeti for short). i read so many pokedex entries for this... heres the teams and explanations.

RECA: in my head he's not that strong or serious as a trainer, so he just has pokemon he likes most, or for real life utility.

1 Rotom: yknow how rotom phones exist? yeah, so that, but assistant director. its genius.

2 Beheeyem: it can manipulate memories of others. perfect.

3 Palpitoad : amphibian :). also it can sorta sing apparently.

4 Smeargle: dog that draws lmao. literally. the dex doesnt say much else.

5 Mr. Rime: i didnt even need the dex entry for this choice, but its a dancer and comedian.

6 Lurantis: idk, just vibes, but the dex says collectors like to maintain the vibrance of their colors which is apparently very hard. in my head that registered as like: oh, exotic rich guy pet. yeah put it there.

ZETI: theyre a pretty paranoid person so they feel better as a stronger trainer. my game knowledge is limited so this team probably sucks but theyre strong cause i said so hehe

1 Absol: it appears to people just before disaster strikes. this is def not canon in the games but iirc in an anime ep or movie it was that they predict those disasters and try to warn people, and it resulted in them becoming a bad omen instead. zeti relates

2 Metagross: it doesnt really have a reason to be here but i love metagross so i had to.

3 Grimmsnarl: its apparently pretty mischevous and likes pulling pranks. zeti likes to tease others just so see their reaction sometimes so i had to give em this

4 Ceruledge: theres not much to say except the vibes matched.

5 Spiritomb: the dex entries say such different things abt this pokemon but i understood it as this. its made of 108 evil spirits who were imprisoned in the stone below it for their misdeeds. anyways, my reason for this was something-something the pull between wanting to not give a fuck but also eternal grief and regret

6 Urshifu (rapid strike): i hc this is the pokemon they got specifically to ease their anxiety. it also kinda fits though. its implied that it seeks to exterminate those with evil hearts, so in my head it aligns with zeti's one belief that is a constant in their life -never fw evil people- and also this makes it a good protector.

OKAY THAT IS ALL im sorry again that this is so long.... if tumblr somehow deletes this ask i will DIE. to anyone reading this, esp those that know better abt pokemon, feel free to give ur ideas. im just a filthy casual lol

the absol thing is canon in game btw - you can find the dex entries on bulbapedia (said you're a casual so I don't really know how much you do know, bulbapedia is a great source for pokemon stuff in general)

from:

firered/leafgreen: It appears when it senses an impending natural disaster. As a result, it was mistaken as a doom-bringer.

diamond/pearl: It senses coming disasters and appears before people only to warn them of impending danger.

Black2/White2: It appears from deep in the mountains to warn people about upcoming disasters it has sensed with its horn.

(it's in pretty much all games, I just picked a few to write in the post lol)

it can also mega evolve, might fun to look into :3

my oc uses mega evolution for his lucario, he has a couple z-crystals but doesn't use them often, he also has a dynamax bracelet he doesn't use at all lol - Leon gifted it to him and he kept it because it looks cool (also he can't just get rid of a gift from a friend)

I can imagine Reca using mega evolution, but you didn't give him any pokemon with that ability lol.

I know gen 7 rewrites mega evos as something hurtful to the pokemon but I always despised that retcon so I'm ignoring it <3

just to be clear; I also imagine him to be a casual trainer, but if someone were to challenge him I think he'd try this

mostly because of the fairy/psychic typic and it's protectiveness of it's trainer

the part that kinda throws me off however is Gardevoir's ability to look into the future, when a memokeepers whole thing is looking into the past

also about Zeti's team (I love the name btw) - it's not as bad as you might think it is, in fact I think it's pretty good

I put it into marriland to take a look at the weaknesses & resistances and (you can skip this part if you don't care too much for it lol)

There's have a bad weakness against fairy, but that can be easily fixed by giving metagross & ceruledge the right moves. you could probably give the others something as well if you think it's necessary

overall the team is looking really good honestly imo. if the ceruledge has the ability flash fire it would be immune to fire type moves as well (won't change the total weaknesses, just fun to know imo)

the pokemon you chose look pretty intimidating as well, really gives off the vibes of a powerful trainer :3

also, "they're strong because I said so" THATS SO REAL

dreamwidth is set up as a personal journal (code fork of livejournal, although i never used LJ) you make a post, and then people can comment on journal entries. there is no reblog button or post sharing. there is no like button or kudos or heart. to interact, you MUST type something

on tumblr, even if we all agree going viral is a terrible experience, the point is to say something #relatable. something people will agree with or like enough to put it on their own blog. or you know, to start a fight. people dont really interact with stuff they're just sort of neutral on

on dreamwidth the point isnt to be agreed with (or vehemently disagreed with), the point is to start a conversation. automatically the opportunity for a lot more nuance and thoughtful conversation is built in

you arent on a stage. the threat of your shit getting shared to thousands of strangers doesnt exist. youre talking to people youre probably familiar with

they have extremely limited image hosting but its really not a huge problem if you have an imgur account

its slow. it takes time. its perfectly fine to interact with stuff that's weeks old. youre typing a whole comment every time you want to interact. its harder to find people so youre consuming less sheer mass. this is amazing for my fucking broken ass attention span

privacy. want to make personal posts and dont want them to be publicly visible? access list. only people you allow can see it. and apparently you can make MULTIPLE ACCESS LISTS but i havent tried that yet

you can pin posts. (2 with a free account) you can allow or disallow anon comments as you please. its not meant for mobile but its useable.

basically im sick of social media that hurts my brain and is bad for me. my activity is probably going to tank here. i'm not leaving but im going to move a LOT of shit to dreamwidth

Inspired by the last post i reblogged, genuine question, what is recreational dancing? Just like casual at the club dancing? Is it just random movement? Why? Watching any individual person it doesnt really look random. They seem to be making decisions about how to move in some sort of way. How? People always say there is no “correct”, but people also criticize people who do it “badly”, so how is that defined? I cant find a pattern

Also genuine question, why would you want to? Sitting still is physically and mentally easier (and socially easier apparently, because of secret rules they insist dont exist), so im curious what the appeal of casual dancing is?
