👪 A FAMILY-THEMED HEADCANON. every summer since holly was born, mike and his family would take a week-long trip up to stay on the coast of lake michigan. it became a family tradition that his father coined as one that celebrated 'the completion of the family' and hoped to do for as many summers as possible, at least until nancy went away to college. however, since the main events of the series began in hawkins, the family has missed out on their opportunities to go on their trip for a couple summers in a row.

🧡 A FRIENDSHIP-THEMED HEADCANON. when mike and his friends started middle school, mike's house became the go-to place not only for d&d and hangouts but also for holiday parties, such as those celebrating christmas, new years, and the 4th of july. by the time mike entered high school, his new years parties in particular with his friends became dubbed 'the underdog party' in comparison to the parties that the more popular kids would hold at their houses. many of these new years parties also morphed into sleepovers, but mike's parents would never let max or el stay over with the boys. so the two would operate under the guise of el staying over at max's house, but they would sneak around to mike's garage where the boys would let them back in to sleep over and promptly let them out the next morning before his parents could come downstairs and bust them.

💌 A ROMANCE-THEMED HEADCANON. as it's hinted in the series, mike has tragically failed on the court of romance for many years in succession, despite it being hinted that he is beginning to become interested in girls (and guys, at least in the way i write him). genuine crushes tend to happen later, after he gets to know someone at least on a platonic level. it's rare for him to develop deep romantic feelings or desires towards someone without getting to know them personally. it's much easier for him to 'catch' these feelings for someone if he's had a chance to bond with them non-romantically.

I had to really think about this, and most people would say oh, their best rp friend or ship partner. There are a couple people I would say, but the person I would pick is someone who is a close friend, even if we don't talk as much anymore and I want to fix that, so much. @kristnirpresti / @mcnsieur / @findablog, I admire you so much and I always will. I never know which blog to find you on your list, but you've always been such a supportive friend, and I know when I went through everything, I fell off the planet. But, you are the Philippe to my Louis, the Athelstan to my Ragnar forever, and so much my friend. I love reading everything you write, when I see something. I love your OOC posts, and I love how much I've watched you grow up in the last few years, whether it be here or your posts on IG.

We need a catch up, ASAP.

Beep beep: I love what you do with Mike. The place where you write him at (at least with me) is such a unique and fun thing to explore and see. You have a way of just grasping his voice and really nail down his mannerisms. He feels like a living and breathing person that I can physically give a hug to.

🎙️ ― great to talk to

I'm going to have to pick4 and say @mayxthexforce. I can knock headcanons, ideas, lore (aka vaderology), random quora opinions that make me annoyed, my weird insecurities that she always stays patient about, and our talks are always amazing. I have learned so much about legends from Mica and I could listen to her about anything forever. I can be super intense with talking about rp things, but in 2 seconds, I want to hear how she is and the great thing about her is she's always concerned about my life, too. We've recently gone through some rp changes, but it doesn't change for a second, how much I value her, her opinions and her random stories from her classroom.

There is also @xx--ofmanythoughts--xx. My OG Yankee fan that I tolerated, back when I only ever would watch the Cubs, before I got traded over there with Anthony Rizzo. She gets me and my annoyances with that fandom, and it is nice. So many of that fanabase is crazy, but she is another who I could talk to about anything, ever.

Finally, @findablog, because I never know where to find you. I have known you for 7 years and no matter how much time has passed, you yare still someone I always want to talk to. I wondr how you are daily, and always think of things I need t tell you.

Last, @desireandduty. Our versions of Anakin and Padme may have some technical difficulties when relating, but that doesn't change how much I love talking ot Amy, how much you have ben my person for over 10 years now. We'll fix the ship thing at some point. For now, you just get my randoms. But still, I would be lost without you and even when I'm quiet, I know you're here.
