Among Us OC - Iman Abadi

A/N: Iman is actually a character that I’ve had lying around for a while now and so I think that this would be a great place for her to fit in.  Here’s Red, aka Iman.  I hope you enjoy!

Word count: 646

- Iman is the apprentice of one Dr. Ursa Magero.  In university she was studying to go into virology herself, and during her time in univeristy Ursa took her under her wing.  It was an amazing opporotunity, and the opporotunity to work with someone who’s work had inspired you is an amazing feeling.  Iman is of the opinion that the scandal that happened between Ursa and her colleague was bogus and that she wasn’t in the wrong.

- Iman grew up in a Muslim household.  She does not let her religion decide what her views of science are, and is a pretty secular person.  Her parents, more than anything, wanted her to make decisions for herself.  And so when she was a freshman in high school Iman starting wearing a hijab every day, and her parents respected her decision.  She is the only woman in her family to wear a hijab.

- She has two older brothers and a younger sister, and all of the siblings are very close.  Her oldest brother is a businessman in the food industry, her second oldest brother works as a therapist, and her younger sister is in high school.  Her family made meal time very important, as it is a time for family to spend together and to talk and laugh.  So Iman really enjoys going over to her parent’s house for meals every week.

- Iman’s parents were actually pretty laid back.  Both of them had grown up in strict Muslim households in Saudi Arabia, and so when they moved out of the country to begin a new life they didn’t want to put their kids through what they went through.  So when they moved to the United States and settled down to start a family, they were determined to give their kids a better life.  They made sure that their kids helped around the home and did their schoolwork on time, but they didn’t punish their kids for not understanding a topic they had a hard time with and gave their kids privacy when they wanted it.  Overall really cool parents.

- She is a pretty hardworking student.  Her ultimate goal after graduating is to continue with her education, but also doing research on the side.  Iman has always enjoyed science from a young age, and so it was only natural for her to pursue a career in STEM.  There have been moments where Iman has been prejudiced against because of her religious and ethnic identities, but she tries not to let that get to her.  It does sting however, and it makes her really sad to think that the world is still in a place where people cannot simply be themselves.

- When Iman and Ursa were called to the dean’s office for the opporotunity to do research on other planets, she was flattered and excited.  She was flattered because of all the students in the university that were trying to pursue the same career as her, she was the one that was chosen out of all of them.  And she was excited because she GETS TO GO INTO SPACE.  Iman was pracitcally bouncing with excitement that night when she told her parents and siblings.  Her younger sister was jealous because she gets to go into space, and her parents were incredibly excited for her, albeit a bit apprehensive about sending their daughter to different planets.  Nonetheless, they celebrated that night.

- When Iman and Ursa first joined the crew, she recognized a young man that went to the same university as her.  He was studying something different at the time, so Iman wasn’t sure how often she would get to see him but right then and there she decided that he was very cute.  The young man was also supposed to report findingd to Ursa, so Iman hoped that she would get to see him around.

Adi: the child of kori and conner. mandalorian by birth but somehow ended up as a padawan jedi at to either Dinah Lance, Diana Prince, Donna Troy, or Artemis Crock (depending on timeline). Loyal to Jedi at first than the mandalorians but eventually loyal to the rebels. She wants balance in the force which is a kind of peace and is so willing to fight for it. Has two blue lightsabers and a yellow bladed force staff. Very skilled with using the force both in offense and defense.

- Conner is a clone of jedi knight clark kent & lex luthor basically had those aliens make him but he escaped and was found by a mandalorian who adopted him.

-Kori is from a species that were sorta allies with the mandalorians for ages and when kori and her siblings were taken & their parents killed, was also adopted by mandalorians.

Incomes the gang, all mandalorian by adoption to try are rescue her.

- Tana is same species as Donna, Diana, and Kaldur as she is a mix between the two. Loyal to the Mandalorians and eventually the rebels. She wants peace to an extent but not if it would restrict more of her freedom to live as she pleases. She goes on to explore and document her findingd in one of Dana's droids. Skilled with a blaster.

- Dana & Leah would have been jedi but were adopted first. They are learning under Marisol in the ways of the force while still being hellions. Dana is much more active in the chaos this AU but still very skilled with electronics. She has a small army of droids that love her. Leah is very much shoot first and ask questions later. Dana at one point gets kidnapped by the empire and brainwashed so she was temporarily loyal to them before being saved. Aside from that, they are both loyal to mandalorians and the rebels. Both have light turquoise blue lightsabers.

- Haven, Liam, and Warren are force sensitive semi-retired smugglers mainly cause they work in secret. They are loyal to the Mandalorians and themselves. They might help the rebels but they aren't ready to commit 100%. They help Marisol by smuggling the ex-slaves out. Haven is best with a blaster, Liam is the best pilot, and Warren has like force grenades.

- Mao is a species that is mostly not force sensitive at all but she ended up as the host for a force being or something before she was found and adopted. She is loyal to the Mandalorians and rebels but Kyo kinda took control and she ended up kinda recruited by the empire for a bit. She is the one to help Dana escape. Had a red lightsaber but it turned lime green when it was cleansed.

- Marisol is a grey jedi that was the padawan of Ted kord at one point before she ditched the order. She is teaching the whole gang what she knows of the force. She stopped being loyal to the jedi when her master was killed. She had ended up stranded on mandelore for a month which is when she was adopted and when someone came for her, she sent them away since she felt in the force that she was needed here. She is loyal to mandalorians and eventually she is kinda allied with the rebels but she is so busy freeing slaves and having Haven & bros smuggle them out. Has a blue lightsaber and a force whip (idk if that exists).

- Anani is Marisol's "padawan" that was too old when she was found but Marisol said f that and started teaching her. She is loyal to mandalorians and to the rebels. She ends up really enjoying being a pilot and puts a lot of them to shame though admits that the force gives her an unfair advantage. Has a purple lightsaber. At one point she acts as a handmaiden for her home planet of Naboo.
