You can still submit an outline by April 30 if you have an idea for art or fic, or especially if you are an artist who would like to draw for someone else’s fic.

The anthology will release on November 30 and will be sent direct to all of our contributors! It will also go up as a collection on AO3. We’ll post links to both of those here. The PDF will go public after the online collection goes live.

In Human Skin: Itching, Scratching, Biting

Summary:

His Finn is... something. That, he knows. However, Kylo knows very little about what makes Finn so uniquely special. In fact, he also knows very little about what makes he himself so uniquely special. Well, maybe not... uniquely, per say.

Story excerpt:

Finn curls his left hand and flicks his wrist, and a good portion of the quilt slips from underneath them to wrap around Kylo’s broad shoulders. He then moves to remove the maroon leather collar from around Kylo’s neck, only to have him violently jerk away.

His partner gives a full body shudder, as if he didn’t have most of their quilt wrapped around his pale shoulders. “Please, please don’t. I—I need it.” Kylo whimpers.

Nodding, Finn presses a kiss to the silver nameplate of the collar instead. “Okay, okay. We’re leaving the collar on.” He says softly.

Summary:

Sir Finn, a knight under Castle Organa, sets off to recruit a mage that will help complete a mercenary team tasked with an impossible mission. With little leads or hope, he employs the reclusive and strange Kylo Ren.

Excerpt:

“Magic’s dead,” Poe had told him, and continued to balance his nobel sword’s hilt precariously on the palm of his flattened hand, one part carnival juggler, and soldier too. The whole ensemble had a foolish grace to it that reminded Finn that despite Poe’s arrogance and jest, there was a cleverness that was valuable on a team. “Rose is a decent medic and you’ve got me. A trio is fine.”

I’ll Talk, You Listen

Summary:

This story is part of a larger story, a modern mythology AU in which siren!Rey (a psychopomp empowered by Persephone to shepherd the souls of the dying and dead to Hades' realm) has been caught up with college TA Ben Solo in a love story that is bigger than either of them realized. This led Ben to Rey's found family, where he's found he is part of something he never knew he needed. At this point in our story, Rey has been injured during the loss of her powers, and Ben has been seriously injured being protective of her. In this chapter we celebrate Finnlo as a friendship; Finn is helping Ben learn that he belongs, and to whom.

Story Excerpt:

Ben was drifting, half-asleep in his bed, when Finn said they had a thing. Rey was having more tests, she was always having more tests. Tests were good, though, if they helped her. She needed her balance back, needed whatever the seizure (and not being a siren any more) had taken away from her. Ben was having some trouble staying all the way awake since Rey had fallen and so had he. Doctor Canady said that was normal, was okay, that Ben’s body was healing the damage the SUV had done when it hit him, as well as the damage Ben had done to himself to catch Rey - which in Ben's view had been completely worth it. He kept that thought to himself, though, because it made everyone’s voices sound strained, as though if he could see them, their eyes would look pinched.

Art Therapy

Summary:

Despite both being in a relationship with Rey, Ben and Finn have never really tried to move past their shared history in the First Order. Now that the war is over, however, things are different. When Ben volunteers to teach calligraphy through Finn’s new stormtrooper rehabilitation program, he starts to realize that maybe he was wrong about Finn. Maybe Finn doesn’t hate him at all.

Excerpt:

Ben still can’t believe that the Resistance—sorry, the New Republic—let him live after all he’s done for the First Order. Don’t get him wrong, he’s still getting punished, but he’s alive and (somewhat) free.

“It’s like you’re under house arrest,” Poe Dameron had said after the trial was over, snickering the whole time. “Complete with ankle monitoring bracelet and everything.”

Ben knows that an ankle monitoring bracelet wouldn’t stop him if he really tried to be free (after all, what’s a simple monitor when you’re one of the most powerful Force-sensitives to ever live?), but he’s not going to try. He wants to repent for his sins, after all.
