I wanted to make a post to encourage anyone thinking they won’t be able to get into plushmaking or think they aren’t good enough and will never improve.. everyone starts somewhere! This was my very first plush made just over 6 years ago. Completely hand sewn, hand embroidered, with each strand of the yarn mane attached by hand. This plush took me a couple weeks and I struggled a lot. But I finished her! And then I made another. And another. And another.. gradually getting better bit by bit. All it takes is practice, patience, and the will to never give up! So don’t you dare think you’ll never improve in any area of craft or art. I thought the same thing, but here I am now with an amazing business and even more wonderful fans who support me every step of the way. #marchmeetthemaker day 3: where you started While koromon and tanemon are no longer my latest, here’s some pics of my first ever plushies haha. All the plush here are made and patterned by me from scratch. The first cat is called Cream and he’s not even finished haha. You can see I started to give him sculpted paws and I forgot his mouth. The 2nd I gave to my bf at the time who was moving away and the 3rd is named Coffee. I kept the voodoo doll aesthetic and more or less finished him haha. My actual latest from scratch plush is my cookiecat mascot plush but its still a wip ❤
