Spider had many friends—colleagues, associates. They had varied names, but each held a different significance in his complex, corporate web. Each one had different means of contact with varying levels of security clearance. A safety concern for all parties, he was certain, and a means of leverage if need be. Specifications aside, his drop-ins weren’t unheard of, but they were, indeed, uncommon.
To say that it had been his first arrival in the renown Last City would have been a lie—beneath the nose of the Vanguard and behind the high, city walls, Spider was capable of becoming quite familiar with the underlying network that had long gone overlooked, or perhaps forgotten. While it was far more of a risk for him to make the rounds himself, it was not impossible, but he knew far more about the City than many actually realized or cared to admit. His eyes and ears extended far beyond the Vanguard’s crown jewel and across the solar system, but a particular acquaintance had led him here today—one that passing mere notes and recommendations via a tertiary party would no longer suffice for.
The underbelly of the Tower was swept long before Spider’s arrival, and blocked off to prevent interference. Of course, such precautions were unnecessary due to the state of abandon such a location suffered, but they were steps he took to keep himself under the Vanguard’s radar, and away from the prying eyes of the guardians they commanded.
Before him had been two of his most loyal Eliksni companions paving the way forward, and the intergalactic mogul kept a casual pace behind. Upon arrival unto the Black Armoury’s doorstep, both Avrok and Arrha took their place on either side of the door, allowing Spider’s entrance into the vast hall cast in much darkness.
“Ada, my dear friend.” His voice echoed off the high ceiling with a cacophonous boom. His form had yet to emerge from the veil of shadow, though there had been no mistaking him—not from the sound of his rumbling tone, or the gentle glow of his eyes from the vault’s doorway.
“You never write anymore. Care to have a little chat?” Despite the jovial nature of his words, there was no choice in the matter. His presence within the City meant that there was either an emergency, fury, or important business matters to attend.

The faint scuffle of boots follows the quick retract of the hand which had reached out to regain her balance, not to invade the space of a fragile ally. Subtle is the tremble in her legs, though she leans to one side back against the counter, palms pressed against cool metal. The Huntress meets the Exo’s face with deep green eyes. “If you’re so quick to take hands, I’d hate to see what you’d do to a thief. But.. my apologizes.”
