An Encounter With A Rude Person

Continued from day 18.2. I haven't heard anyone make a comment like this, and I hope people don't actually say this. This is just what came to mind.

Under the cut

Tannibal, Jamie, and Will have settled into a routine. Three days into the vacation Hannibal and Will lay on lounge chairs while Jamie plays in the water. "Oh so you two care for a fixer upper?" Someone says. "Excuse me?" Hannibal asks. "A fixer-upper Yeah, the term is used for a house that needs a lot of work, but there's people with shit mental states, like her, that need a lot of work to be fixed." This infuriates Hannibal and Will. The person walks away. "How would they know?" Will asks. "She's happy right now, playing in the water." "I don't know." Hannibal watches the person walk away.

Jamie walks out of the water ten minutes later. "You have a bad sunburn," Hannibal observes. "Time to return to the rental." The three friends get into Hannibal's car.

Once at the house, Hannibal gets cream to treat Jamie's sunburn. Hannibal and Will are still thinking about what the person said. They hope Jamie never hears a comment like that and that they don't encounter the person at the beach again.

I'd really want to know when A frozen heart was written.

Before or after the movie came out, became a big success and the audience reacted so strongly to the characters. I think A frozen heart is probably a redefining of Hans as a tragic villain.

Was Hans evil? Or was he "scared, stressed or mad"?

It all depends if you buy his "villain monologue"... or not.

But seriously.. what's the point of having an evil villain in a movie "not about evil vs good but love vs fear"?

One that has a song about "everybody is a but of a fixxer upper, that's what's all about"?

One that has a character like the Duke of Wesselton to remind us things can look very different if you don't know the whole story?

It even makes less sense when you realize Hans is a clear tribute to Hans Christian Andersen.

So for context: i live in a fixxer upper trailer on one of my grandmother’s properties. My trailer was being used as storage.

Today i found this beauty on a back shelf in a storage closet mixed in with a bunch of my grandmother’s old stuff. It is in perfect working condition & it is also my favorite color.

I figured what a wild coincidence then i realized that recently i actually mentioned wanting to get into pokemon. I missed the hype as a kid. I liked console gaming & other animes. I didn’t really play the games either. So i figured that as an adult getting into it, i’d start by going in orderish with the games.

Well what do you fuckin know? That’s fuckin pokemon silver blue. Wild.

I’ve been honestly struggling mentally a lot lately. My grandmother that i mentioned before, i’ve been very close to her all of my life & she is the glue of my family. This trailer that i’m living in, albeit it’s just barely liveable, she gave to me when i was going homeless a second time last year. The car i have is a beater, but she gave it to me when my nice car was repossessed.

It’s safe to say that drugs destroyed my life for a while. But she was there & supported me through it. Well, with all that being said.. unfortunately she is on her way out. She’s been getting worse very gradually the last few years, but within the last few months, her health has all but completely collapsed.

We don’t know how much longer she has. Which is why we’ve been sorting out her storage.

I don’t know what it is about this gameboy, but i feel so great having found it in her stuff too. Idk i feel like this was a big hug from the universe.
