At the end of 2024 SiliconMotion specialists believe that the first laptops equipped with solid-state drives with a PCIe 5.0 interface will appear on the market only at the end of next year. There are already laptops on the market that are technically SSD-ready with PCIe 5.0. For example, these are some recent MSI models. But MSI itself installs drives with the PCIe 4.0 interface in such PCs since they are cheaper and heat much less.
