What are the weirdest trophies your pets have shown off to you? I'll start: our first cat was free-roaming for a while, and there was a stretch of time where he used to show up with random hunks of styrofoam, provenance unknown.

THE BIG FIND: DAY NINE

Welcome to the ninth day of our anniversary celebration!

The Big Find is a 10-day long Drarry fic-finding marathon to celebrate the blog’s first anniversary. Below is the Day 9 compilation of lost fics, both old and new, that we’ve been unable to find. Our aim is to get as much attention to these lost fics as possible, to help people finally find their missing fics! Anyone can participate by reblogging, reading through each list, providing additional fic details, and informing us the title, author, or link of a fic, and their respective number in the comment section. 9.1 6th year, Harry was trying to find out if Draco is a death eather, they end in detention with Slughorn making healing potions or something, Harry see the handwriting of Draco and noticed that its similar to the one in the Half blood prince book (because Snape is his godfather and Draco had a notebook for potions) in one moment they kiss and they started to snog around, Harry found out the dark mark so that he was right, I think they have a goodbye moment? Draco leave Harry a letter to explain him that he had to do it for his mother, that he was in love with him. I think after was sequel that was a one shot were Ron find Harry hugging the letter and find out from who was it, they fight and Harry say that Draco was forced by his father and Voldemort, then the snatchers catch them, Hermione jinx Harrys face, they take them to Malfoy manor, Draco betray his family and Voldemort and help Harry and the others to escape, they end in the beach with Draco laughing hugging Harry. 9.2 Harry was under a love potion by either Colin and Draco healed him. Harry is an auror and Draco is a healer in St Mungo’s but the only person that appreciate him is his assistant or something like that. After Draco healed Harry they start dating, people were accusing Draco of giving a love potion to Harry. Harry also had an accident at work and end up in a coma. (original post)

9.3 Both powerful enough that they would have bouts of their magic loosing control like the weather would change or stuff would break because they were so caught up. (original post)

9.4 Draco running away and trying to be normal. Muggle au where the Death Eaters were a cult about white supremacy and cult for the leader, Lucius presented Draco to Voldemort when he was 7 and Voldemort decided that Draco was going to start his training that year and become the youngest death eater ever, so Draco did all the rituals and training, he wasn’t allowed many things other kids can do or eat, but when he was in the last ritual where he had to kill a mudblood (an indian british woman) he couldn’t do it so he panicked and stabbed his father instead, Draco run for his life and try to find Sirius because his mother told him about her cousin who ran away, he get to know Harry in the train station in Hogsmade where he was going to find Sirius, Hagrid helped him in that and Sirius doesn’t take very well Draco showing up in his house but at the end he take care of Draco after Draco telling him his story and how he escaped, then Dumbledore show up in Dracos room at night to talk and seemed impressed for Dracos skills because he almost stab him, then he ask Draco why he was there and what he wanted to do, so Draco tell him his story and that he wanted to be a normal boy for once, how he doesn’t want to be his father and Voldemort little soldier anymore, then Dumbledore said they could come to an arrangement and Draco end up studying in Hogwarts where he is roommate with Harry and Ron. I also remember Draco had tattoos, one in his neck (symbolizing all he talked was for the Dark Lord), one in his chest and the last one in his left forearm. (original post)

9.5 This is a fic I read maybe 1 or 2 years ago I’m not sure, all I remember is that Harry and Draco were roommates and Draco wore pink shorts around the house. I think it was relatively short but I can’t be sure. (original post)

9.6 harry kidnaps/keeps draco captive, very dub/non-con, and violent? powerful or dark harry; details i remember are: harry lives alone and isolates himself from people, and later in the fic harry only lets draco go when they receive news of narcissa dying from a disease, eventually he does let draco go (with blaise i think) after news blows up about the captivity thing; i remember it having a very distinct poetic/dramatic writing style (original post)

9.7 i remember the ao3 summary. a liberal approximation of it: harry had just entered hogwarts/another abandoned building many years after the war, and he called out, “hello?” the echo answered: “hello, hello.” he asked again, “is anyone there?” and the void replied, “there is, there is.” (original post)

9.8 bottom!draco top!harry + mpreg, draco finds out he’s pregnant right after he and harry’s relationship ends. i can’t remember if it was a real relationship or just a sleeping together thing, but when he goes to tell harry someone from harry’s life, one of his friends is there and tells draco that harry doesn’t care if draco is pregnant, he’s happier without him so draco leaves town dejected and to have the baby on his own. time passes, essentially harry is unhappy and misses draco one day he runs into him finds out draco has a child is jealous he thinks draco moved on and confused why draco is so curt with him. spoiler his friend lied to them both saying that no one important was at the door and since then had kept prompting harry to just move on etc. i remember there’s a big fight where draco screams at harry for throwing him aside and that’s when the truth comes out and harry is very very angry with his friend, it ends happy with drarry back together spending time with their little child as a family. 9.9 post-war au where Draco gets arrested for dosing Harry with love potion but it was actually Ginny who’d been feeding him love potion for the entirety of their relationship/marriage. The fic is mostly Draco’s flashbacks and he’s been love with Harry for like decades but still married Astoria. Portrait!Snape makes appearance once or twice. I think it ends with Drarry getting together. (original post)

9.10 All I really remember is the symbolism of Harry’s glasses and his vulnerability. Drarry talk about how Harry feels very vulnerable without his glasses (hence also why he doesn’t wear contacts like Draco suggests) and only people he really trusts get to see him without his glasses. Then there’s this one scene where Drarry are about to sleep with each other and Draco takes Harry’s glasses off and they just stare at each other while Harry blinks his eyes and then Draco asks if that’s okay nonverbally and Harry has this whole “I trust you” moment both mentally (his POV) and while saying it out loud. And then we see other scenes of like Draco putting Harry’s glasses on him, tossing them on the bedside table, etc (but glasses were definitely not in the tags and it’s only a small part of the story). This definitely takes place after the war and I’m pretty sure Drarry are working with each other and they basically have this like fwb relationship even though they’re pretty open with their feelings. Hermione and Ron play a role in this fic and I’m pretty sure Blaise is in it as well. A longerish fic with like 50k words but I’m not 100% sure. (original post)

9.11 Post-war fic where Draco had Scorpius with Astoria but they divorced, and Draco gets kidnapped after using an invisibility spell on Scorpius and sending him to Harry, who looks out for him while they’re trying to find Draco. (original post)

9.12 Summary: Harry and Ron are Aurors and they get a call that there was an attack. The victim is Draco, who they’ve worked with before, I think, because he’s kind of an investigator/works crime scenes and in a lab. Draco is visibly shaken, but he begins to investigate his own crime scene. To remain professional, he refers to himself as “the victim.” (original post)

9.13 Set in Hogwarts (I think it spans multi-years and could be a series but I’m not 100% sure). Draco and Harry are friends (not entirely sure if its a no-war AU) and Draco has been crushing on Harry but is oblivious. Harry and I think Terry started dating and they would kiss/PDA in front of Draco and he initially bared with it until he snapped one day in the Great Hall and I think Ginny(?) was like “Harry you’re so blind”. At around the same time I think Theo asked Draco out to Hogsmeade and initially Draco was reluctant but because of Terry and Harry he was like ok why not. But they decided to remain friends in the end - and Ginny was also the one that told Harry that nothing was going on between Draco and Terry. (original post)

It’s been a while since I’ve had a race, as it has been for us all, and while I’m generally not one for #virtualracing, the #dcrrc1milechallenge comes at a good time. After 8 weeks of #basebuilding, I could use a good #fitnesstest to see where I am right now. So #flatme is laid out for “the mile” tomorrow at my temporary “home track,” #draperpark in #fairfaxcity. There’s a mostly flat paved loop that goes around a few soccer fields, and it looks to be 500 meters right on the nose. So it will be 3 laps plus a little extra to make a mile. No spikes, obviously, my @altrarunning One road flats will have to do. I’m treating this like a race even if it’s a glorified #timetrial.
