I hope your healthy and happy :) your fics make me happy and I check to see if you've updated all the time 💗 but I got this stupid idea for a fluff drabble were a fem reader x Sanji is just the biggest hugger ever. Literally anything =hug Hes made a really hard dish? Hug. something made him really sad? Comforting Hug. Something really cool happened? Jump up and down hug. She just LOVES hugs but if he catches on and gives her one back? She will literally die and melt into the floorboards. Nah, she'll probably just turn into a blushing mess lmao

Notes: I've had this 90% finished in my drafts FOREVER, but couldn't think of a way to finish it until just now; This is not proofread cuz it's 3 in the morning and I wanted to post this instead of waiting any longer. Sorry this theme is so wonky🌱🌱🌱

The first time Sanji ever received a hug from you was the day Luffy brought down Arlong Park. You had been by his side during the lasts of Luffy's fight and the moment Luffy broke out of the rubble and it sunk in to everyone that he'd won, you threw your arms around his neck. You both were battered, bruised,and floating in the water, but you wrapped your arms around him and cheered loudly along with the townspeople and usopp. Sanji had been in too much of a happy(bleeding) daze back then to really compute anything else that had happened after that.

The second time you hugged Sanji was only a few days later and caught him completely off guard. He pretty much thought that the first time was a fluke, that you hugged him in the heat of the moment, so he wasn't expecting you to embrace him again. He was just setting down everyone's plates for breakfast while the crew was shuffling into the kitchen,when you walked in.

“Good Morning Sanji.” You greet him softly, in the middle of stifling a yawn, and surprise him by holding your arms open. Sanji just pauses and for a moment he wonders if you're even talking to him, even though you said his name, until you walk over and wrap your arms around his lean torso. It's like the entire kitchen stops and stares, Nami, Zoro, and Usopp not believing what they're seeing. That someone of the female gender actually,willingly wanted to hug Sanji. Sanji himself is standing there like a statue,his principle of not wasting food being the only thing keeping him from dropping the plate he's holding. Your warm body only presses against his chest for a second before you're pulling away and happily taking a seat in front of your plate, ready to start breakfast. Again, Sanji can hardly recall the rest of that meal, not even the masterfully cooked food he personally made. From then on whenever Sanji received a hug from you, he just about melted into a pile of goop.

After that, Sanji finds out that you hug not just him but everyone rather casually. Even if they're just side hugs, you can be found wrapping your arms around anyone that you deem needs you to. He's seen you console Usopp this way, comfort Vivi, and wrap even the newest member, Chopper, into a welcoming cuddle. He guesses you're just an affectionate person and proceeds to indulge in your hugs with all the heart eyes and goofy declarations of love you can think of, skillfully ignoring any disappointment he had felt in that moment of realization. Still, despite his antics and how happy he seems, he never initiates a hug first. He never even really returns them either actually. He usually just freezes up in a lovestruck state, just happy that he's being touched by a woman at all. Too happy to notice that you hug him just a little more than everyone else.

It isn't until after the battle in Skypiea that Sanji finally notices that you've got a soft spot for him. He was unconscious for a long while after taking a direct bolt of lighting from Enryu when protecting Usopp, so he has no recollection of when you first saw him. All he knows is that you're holding his charred body tight against you when he wakes up, your gaze on the way Luffy was trying to climb the beanstalk leading to the Golden ship. It wasn't until he grunted quietly that you cut your eyes towards him. He didn't even have time to ask what was going on before you hugged him into your neck, accidentally squeezing an injured person harder than you should but Sanji didn't care. You could've been crying so hard and holding him like that because you thought of him the same way as everyone else,sure, but Sanji has a harder time convincing himself of that this time.

Sanji is a little more appreciative of your hugs now, proceeding a little calmer when your arms wrap around his torso while he's cooking, or when the crew is having a drink. It was no longer just receiving a hug from a pretty woman, but now being shown affection by someone he cared deeply about, not necessarily his friend, but someone important to him nonetheless. Maybe that's why he finally decided to reciprocate that affection.

“Ugh it's so hot! Someone please shave all my fur off!” Chopper complains as a few of you walk through a desert city in search of Sanji, Zoro, and Robin. As per usual, you'd all gotten spilt up while exploring, Luffy started a problem, and now you all had to find the rest of your crew so you could hightail it out of here. You're currently checking near the docks with Chopper. You pout sympathetically at your furry crew mate.

“Don't worry Chopper, we'll find them soon.” You attempt to console him, right at you hear a smooth voice call your name. Both you and Chopper turn your heads and find Robin jogging down the pier.

“Y/n! Chopper!” She calls out with a wave of her arm. You wave back while chopper cheers gleefully and runs over to her. You're walking over to her too when you finally notice the two men behind her. Sanji and Zoro are busy butting heads and you don't have to be a lip reader to know it's because Zoro got them lost.

“Sanji!” You call out happily, excited to see him after these long hours. Sanji stops bickering immediately at the sound of your voice before leaving Zoro to meet up with you. You jog to meet him halfway before stopping once you both get close enough.

“It's good we found you! C'mon we've gotta get out of here-!” You say with a smile before your face is suddenly cradled into the crook of a shoulder.

“God, I'm glad you're alright! I heard from a local that there was a fight near where your group had head off to.” Sanji sighs in relief with an arm wrapped around your shoulders and a hand cradling your head against him. You just squeak with round eyes, for the first time not knowing how to respond to a hug.

“I-I’m alright!” You assure him with your heart thumping so hard in your chest, there's no way Sanji doesn't feel it against his own. Sanji lets you go with a warm hand on your head.

“Good. Hey mosshead! It's time to go!” He says with a cute smile before turning to wrangle over Zoro. You just stand there wide-eyed before placing your hand over your beating heart. You're still processing what just happened when Robin clears her throat beside you. You look over and she's standing with a pleased look on her face, chopper beside her and covering his mouth with a giggle.

“W-what?” You ask, already knowing why they're smiling like that. Robin just sighs happily with a hand on her cheek.

“Although one can't see the blood that's undoubtedly rushing to your cheeks, the look on your face says it all-.” She sighs eloquently before you cut her off with a whine. Sanji had gotten you good.

Itchy Feeling

It was itching him, the itch that gets under his nails that he couldn't scratch, the feeling of his insides itching, a feeling that he wanted to soothe and put an end to but wasn't able to, something was itching inside him and he desperately tried to ignore it

Strolling down the streets seeing the newly opened coffee cafe you wanted to come by with him yet he was sure you would order your coffee too hot and let it cool down until it's cold and not pleasant to drink anymore

A kid passing by holding a balloon the same as your favorite color, someone dressed in a fashion style you like, your favorite brand displayed on billboards, did everything reminded him of you? the itchy feeling surfaces again, and again he wanted to scratch that itch badly.

"Hey" a familiar voice went through his ears, a hand on his back made him stop his tracks and look back at who came in between him and his thoughts

it was you, looking up at him and engaging eye contact with him as you give him a small confused smile.

"funny seeing you here, thought u didnt want to hang out today"

removin your hand that was placed on his back and resting it on your sides

"oh uh, I didn't like the atmosphere at home and decided to stroll around," he said breaking eye contact from you and redirecting his gaze to the passing people by paying the both of you no mind and continuing their day

the itching feelign was gnawing him more as he feels his palms sweat a little causing him to wipe his hands on his pants

"well since were here now, do you want to hang out?" you ask him yet already grabbing his wrist and leading him somewhere , he hopes you won't realize how his palms got a little more sweaty than a second ago.

You didn't look back knowing the answer since he continued to follow your lead not removing your hand that was dragging his wrist. Rindou feels the itchy feeling gnaw him even more now, he feels something inside him pushing out the words from his mouth that he wishes to keep unheard

before a word could come out of his throat you stopped your tracts as well causing him to stop, he let out a deep exhale not knowing there was built up tension inside of hime that prevented himself from breathing

he notices you were looking at something and he follows the direction where your eyes landed, it was the newly opened coffee cafe that you were blabbering about to him a week ago

"Well, are you ready to go in yet? " he asks you which makes you look at him. He still wasn't looking at you instead he was looking at the view inside the cafe

"Yeah," you respond turning your heel to go inside the cafe and hearing his footsteps follow you inside. the sound of the door chime rings and the smell of brewing coffee and baked pastries filled your nostrils

You find where the line is to take an order and wait in line, while waiting you were looking around the cafe. It was a bit larger than how it looked outside

you were stopped from your trance of looking around when you heard the barista ask what you were going to order

you realized you haven't thought about what to order yet and you didn't want to look at the menu that was new to you and decide what to order since it will hold the line of customers behind you

"Two lattes, one iced, one hot" Rindou said to the barista at the cashier and paying, you looked at him again shocked that he ordered for you, you were always the one who ordered for both of you since he said he didn't like talking to other people.

You heard him mumble a small thanks to the cashier when he got his change, he grabbed your hand dragging you to find a table which sent you to shock #3 for today, you felt a warm feeling inside of you burn as Rindou holds your hand even if he was just dragging you

he finds a seat next close to the corner of the shop where there weren't too many customers, the both of you sit down. You were sat apart facing each other face to face

did he make the right choice by choosing to sit here, Rindou thought

"So, how's your brother?" you ask him, expecting him to reply with his brother doing fine or his brother was being an idiot trying to smooth talk random girls on the street almost getting mistaken as a creep. You didn't expect him to rest his head on the table as he answered that his brother was doing fine

"Okay then, why are you trying to avoid eye contact with me ?" he feels your eyes on him, he raised his head from the table still not looking at you but before he could answer

the barista was calling his name to pick up his order from the counter, what a lucky save for him he though.

He stood up excusing himself which put you into shock #4 for today, he realized he had to stop avoiding eye contact with you since you realized what he was doing

with a sigh he picked up the tray and turned around, he saw you looking at him from the table. he couldn't break eye contact now since it would be obvious he looked away

sucking up the building itching feeling that surfaced again inside of him, he went to your table placed down the tray with 2 cups of coffee and sat down not breaking eye contact

"Do like your coffee iced or hot?" he asks you, you look down to look at the 2 cups of coffee not hearing the small sigh that left his mouth when you broke eye contact

"I'll take the iced coffee if it's okay," you said looking at him he nods and takes the hot coffee from the tray, you follow him and take the iced latte from the tray

you watch him blow his coffee a little before drinking his coffee which prompts you to drink yours as well, you think if you should ask Rindou why he was avoiding eye contact and then suddenly making eye contact when he got back after you questioned him

before you could open your mouth words from Rindou made your eyes widen and leave you speechless

"I like you" it wasn't forced but it certainly seemed like he was trying to keep it a secret.

Well there's your #5 shock for today

Interview

She/Her pronouns used for reader, Ran is sweet and Idk if he's out of character, Ran and reader has a 6yr old daughter

You and Ran were waiting in the living room waiting for someone special to make an appearance

You point the video camera in your hand at Ran, zooming in to capture his face in the video making sure that his face isn't blurred.

You fake a cough to get your husband's attention which was successful since he looked in your direction

" So, who are you waiting for sir?" you say a bit loud so the camera would hear you when you check the footage later.

"Well, I'm waiting for the big boss who's going to interview me soon" he smiles towards to camera and back at the tv that wasn't particularly playing anything it wasn't even on.

You laugh at his reply, he surely was taking this seriously

"I think it's my turn to hold the camera and ask you a question," he says as he takes the video cam recorder from your hand, the camera now pointing at you as well as Ran facing you.

"Now then, how about you gorgeous? why are waiting here as well?" he asks you the same question you asked him

You pretend to think for a while, closing your eyes and putting your hand on your chin.

"Hmmm," you stop thinking and you open your eyes looking at the camera and Ran directly with a smug smile "Well I'm here for the same reason as you duh. Unlike you though I'm going to get the job"

You joke sounding so confident bout getting this said play-pretend job you and your husband are applying for. The both of you laugh failing to notice the third presence in the room as you two are in.

You fake a cough once more to get your husband Ran's attention stopping his laughter. Ran turns in the direction you are looking at, it was your 6-year-old daughter.

She was tapping her foot wearing socks with a bunny design as well as Ran's coat and dress shoes that were too big for her small frame, it made you stifle a laugh since your child was a complete copy of Ran, and considering she was wearing your husband's coat and shoes made her resemble ran more if that was still even possible.

Ran directs the camera at her following her movement as she at across you and Ran.

"Good morning to the both of you, I am the big boss and the one going to interview you," your daughter says in a deep voice that was done which causes Ran to laugh

"Good morning to you too big boss," you and Ran say together

She looks at the camera Ran is holding and huffs. "As the big boss that's going to hire you I want that camera out of my face since this interview is super secret" she huffs once more this time exaggerating it to point out what she said was an order

Ran chuckles at your daughter and turns off the camera and sets it aside so it won't get damaged

"There you grumpy little 'big' boss" he jokes emphasizing the word big to signal something which your daughter notices

"Hey! Whatever papa " Your daughter crosses her arms and pouts at Ran

"Let's start our interview now! I'll make sure to ask you super hard to answer hiihii" She stifles a laugh having something in store for Ran

You watch them both as Ran gives out his play pretend information and bickers with your daughter when she comments on how he sounds so lazy in his resume, you picked up the cam recorder again from where Ran placed it when none of them were looking you filmed them with a smile on ur face capturing this moment.

You laugh and giggle with them unaware that Ran looked at you to check up on you only to see that you were filming, he takes the camera from you and points the camera at you as you laugh.

Giving a bright smile with your laughter that was music to Ran's ears made him smile as well, but your moment with him was cut short when your daughter noticed he went silent and wasn't responding to her anymore. She notices the camera and asks for her to point it at her

"dada point it at me too not just Mama! no fair "

she said pouting with furrowed brows knotted together

you laugh at her and Ran points to the camera at her, when she sees that the camera was directed at her she went back to face Ran

"I have had it with you! You are not hired ur now fired!" she says

" how am I fired when I wasn't even hired? " Ran comments

" ... "

"oh my, this big boss doesn't seem so professional and is so childish!" He teases the kid in front of him more.

Your daughter whines and pouts at Ran realizing he had a point and she had to admit she was wrong. You laugh at your daughter's visible irritation at her fathers teasing.

Turning off the camera and setting it down, seeing your husband and a child that had a perfect mix of your and Ran's features displayed in front of you was something you would forever want to cherish.
