First time I was at the patisserie Valerie in Soho, there was a grey Jag parked outside, and I was sure someone was playing games O_______O
I’ve seen a bunch of unmarked police cars in the last four days (with their lights and sirens on) and I may or may not have been checking the make and model of all of them. I did see a Lexus, but otherwise none have been either Jags or Fords. But I keep checking every time. :P

flutteringazure replied to your post: Who wants almond pancakes?
OooooOOOOOOH yes please :3 Are you offering the recipe or starting another Café Cookbook? *wriggles eyebrows*
RECIPE!
Almond Pancakes
1 egg 1/2 cup almond butter 1 cup milk 1 cup Bisquick (or whatever pancake mix you have handy)
Whisk together milk, almond butter, and egg until completely incorporated and smooth. Obviously this works just as well with peanut butter, and probably any other nut butter as well. Add Bisquick mix and stir. Add a little cinnamon or some vanilla if you want. The original recipe suggested stirring in mini chocolate chips.
The batter is pretty thick, so if you like thinner pancakes you can thin it down with more milk. Otherwise, spoon onto a hot griddle and cook per usual.

Hey there Rivers of London fandom! When flutteringazure and I went to London this weekend we went on a little RoL-themed quest and tried to locate the Folly using the description Aaronovitch gives us in the book:
"The address was on the south side of the square (note: Russell Square) where a row of Georgian terraces had survived. They were five storeys high, counting the dormer conversions, with wrought-iron railings defending steep drops into basement flats. The address I wanted had a noticeably grander flight of stairs than its neighbours, leading to double mahogany doors with brass fittings."
So. This is the south side of Russell Square, there are Georgian terraces (as far as I can tell, I'm not as good at this architecture stuff as Peter is), the five storeys, wrought-iron railings and basement flats are all there, as well as the double doors (right behind the row of motorbikes) although I'm not sure if they're mahogany and/or whether they have brass fittings.
All in all, we were pretty content to use this place as our official Folly headcanon so I thought I'd share :3
Bonus picture: we also found this in the City and had a drink there. No Nightingale or Peter around, sadly enough.

I knit my girl a Gryffindor scarf, for our wedding. Well, mostly for the wedding photos, and the engagement photoshoot, as it’s entirely too warm to wear during the actual wedding. I’m so pleased with it, it looks so official! Now to knit a Slytherin one for myself :)

Hiya, I just noticed that the BBC announced a series of Sherlock minisodes that will be aired from Christmas onwards but only if you can use the 'red button' service the BBC offers. Do you Babes know if there is any way to view these minisodes if you can get BBC but don't have red button service because of being outside the UK (or having the wrong brand of telly)? I hope you can help out a fan :) Thanks!
I imagine they'll be available on iPlayer at some point, but as an American in London, I'm not a pro at the Red Button I'm afraid. HELP.

Hi, for taking off my make-up I use olive oil or coconut oil and then a cotton face cloth with warm water. This takes care of the make-up but a regular laundry spin (60 degr. Celcius, laundry soap, vinegar, sometimes a soak in Biotex) does not seem to clean the cloths properly. There are always some make-up and grease stains left on the cloths. What more can I do?
Try a soak in dish soap before you wash them. Dish soap is pretty effective for breaking down oil. I also have some washcloths (8 for $2.49 at Target) that I use just for makeup removal and don't get too hung up on trying to get them un-stained.

I got curious so I’m taking one of those, and I read the question “You get pleasure from solitary walks” as “You get pleasure from solitary wanks”. That might say something already.
<strokes beard> "tell me more about your penis"
(but do you take pleasure from solitary wa- oh never mind)
(also apparently koni got the loyal-henchman type. just fyi)

I recently did one for work and got INFJ. Apparently people like Hitler, Gandhi and George Harrison could be classified as such… (My boss then tried to convince me that the E on the I - - E axis would be more me and I laughed my evil laugh at him.)
Hah. Well, the mbti is a bit scientifically rubbish anyway, and all scientific pretense goes straight out of the window when you start classifying dead people. (I mean, equating Gandhi to HItler? Please.)

I think it's entirely possible the whole 0.8% of female INTJ's is following me, tbh. Do I have a clique of girly evil masterminds?

sherlockian meeting 29th of September!!1! !! ! !111!1!111!
SOoooooooooooooOoooooooooo! If you happen to be a Dutchlockian or if you're a Sherlockian and you're accidentally in The Netherlands on saturday the 29th, you should definitely come to the DUTCHLOCKIAN MEETING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's going to be really awesomé, there's no reason not to come! I'm posting this here because I know that I have several Dutch followers who are into Sherlock but who are not in the Dutchlockian facebook group. If you want to come, you should click...
HERE!
And RSVP! If you don't have facebook, let me know or something and I'll tell Nine (she's the one organising everything so that makes her awesome). (It's really important that you let her know beforehand because last meeting suddenly loads of people showed up and no one was really expecting that)
So yes i wanted to let you all know that aldjfa;dljfalfj.
here's a nice gif of a bunny to convince you
