Finding out that cute Mailbot is actually the Digi-Typer has changed my opinion of him drastically. The Digi-Typer is meant to replace human workers altogether, and Edwin Murray was actively trying to sell them to businesses... kind of like how modern businesses are currently pushing generative AI.

... SO. Seeing what happens to the Digi-Typer in the game made me laugh hysterically. Get WRECKED!

I DONT CARE IF SECRET OF THE MIMIC JUST CAME OUT IM MAKING FOUND FAMILY OF THE MCM BOTS AND MURRAY FAMILY!!!!!

Okay so to start off NOBODY ACTUALLY SEES EACHOTHER AS FAMILY they just act like one

Edwin: made them all, considered the uncle, he is heavily anxious about his family

Fiona: wife of Edwin, lives in this au, aunty, loves puppets so much she made Foxy and the crew

David: cool ass cousin, also living, owns a tiny minigun with rubber bullets

Mimic: weird emo cousin that in fact will read you a bedtime story

Digityper: the anxious uncle, Jackie's brother due to them being made on the same day, will cry if given affection

Jackie: crazy wine aunt, Digi's sister as stated above, will hug.

Big Top: scary spider adopted grandpa to the youngins (he's only 10 years older then the rest of the bots)

Clean-O-Vac(s): 800 of these little cuties, only one girl out of them all, Big Top's children.

Sleepy/Storytime Moon: insane father figure who will 100% sing you a lullaby to help you sleep and bring you cookies to snack on.

Arnold: Abandoned Fazbear before everything went to hell, prevented the fall of MCM and stopped Fiona's death.

Mr. Helpful: not helpful at all father figure, stutters and hesitates a lot, screams like a girl

Mrs. Helpful: surprisingly helpful despite her idiotic husband, motherly, can breakdance, eats raw ginger on Tuesdays

Dollie: random lady who joined the family for saving one of them, nurses vibes, smells like hand sanitizer and oil, clean freak.

Mycelium Men: yes these idiots count too, they're the four fresh out of jail uncles, love music, would kill for some beef jerky.

Earlier, I watched the first hour of the first video of Ranboo's Secret of the Mimic playthrough (at least I'm assuming there will be more videos; I'm pretty sure the game takes more than 4 hours to beat). Without spoilers, the game is very good so far. I want to watch more of it, but my sister (who's watching it with me) has other plans for tonight, and even if we finished that video, I have no idea how long it'll be until Ranboo uploads the rest of the playthrough, so now I'm desperately trying not to get too spoiled for the rest of the game. I've already seen a few small spoilers, but fortunately I haven't seen any major plot points.

Spoiler-ridden thoughts below the cut.

Arnold is great, we love him. Poor guy should've passed out from exhaustion by now, but he just keeps trucking. I hope he survives the game and finds a different job.

The dispatcher guy is a horrible person, but a fun character.

Murray's Costume Manor is BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm not sure why there's a playground outside, though.

The welcome show! Oh, I love it! It was so fun and colorful, and that octopus reminded me of the one from Journey of the Little Mermaid. Mr. and Mrs. Helpful are now my favorite canon FNAF ship.

The safe rooms(?) are fun. I like everything that happens in there. I wonder how complex those upgrade minigames are going to get?

The Mimic's introduction was great! The way they had suspicious suits flanking the walkway, but then a completely different one burst out of that box? Fantastic.

The inventory system is fun, and I like how the amount of collectables you have determines your progress in Moon.exe.

Speaking of, what is going on with that game? A kid escaping through his bedroom window reminds me of Michael Afton, but I could also see it being Gregory according to Candy Cadet's story in Ruin, Bonnie Bro because of the purple mask, or David Murray because of where we are. Also, why Moon built like that?

What is parachute.exe? Going off of the name, probably some kind of failsafe, but what does it do?

JACKIE IS HUUUUUGE!!! Hooo my goodness, why did they make that?

The chase scene was awesome! The way she rips herself apart in desperation to reach you in the beginning? Insane. Rip Mailbot or whatever his name is (I'm not looking it up right now because I'm afraid of spoilers). Jackie's playful tone, as if this is a game, mixed with her tearing down walkways is a wonderfully fear-inducing dissonance. And that one part in that hallway where she reaches past you to pull herself forward? I don't know if that was her missing her target, or if she thinks that grabbing you when you're that far away would be "cheating," but either way it worked for me.

We stopped watching pretty soon after he watched the welcome show a second time, and I don't remember much of what happened in the next room, but I'm excited to continue watching tomorrow!

Theory time: Some people have said that Jackie is the Mimic, but I don't think that's the case, mainly because 1. She was stuck in her box when we found her (why would Mimic trap itself in there?) 2. She damaged herself right before the chase scene (why would Mimic be attached to the box, and unable to attach itself easily?) and 3. She's extremely chatty, while none of the Mimic costumes have had voicelines.

Instead, I think that Jackie is a security bot, because she shares characteristics with the Puppet, who we know was made for security purposes (has a box, long limbs, and the Puppet's song even plays at the end of her chase scene if I remember correctly), and with Moon, who has been theorized/headcanoned to be a security bot by multiple people (segmented fingers in Moon's colors, similar-looking voicebox, playful even while "hunting," clown aesthetic closely related to jester aesthetic).

I can't wait to see how wrong I am lol.

I'm not the only one who thinks this mail robot from the Secret of the Mimic trailer is kinda cute in a dorky way, am I?

I like his smile. I like his eyebrows. I like his little mailbox flag thing! I love how old-fashioned he looks... he's adorable! <3

EDIT: According to a recreation someone made of the Secret of the Mimic demo, this guy is named Mailbot. Yeah, makes sense. He's so cute!
