The starkness of what a person looks like before and after arrest... how they're full of light and life and then, it's all dulled, they're pressed down into the shape the state wants them to be...

Some of the videos of Kamardin that Z sources post show this, not the intended effect tho. Because I only see a brutal regime which is afraid of its own people. Of words.

And of how heroic a person is who risks this. Stands up to the regime... gets suppressed-- yet they are still themselves. Even if they "confess". Rape does not lower them.
