5. How did you choose their name and why? Was it simply based on vibes or is there any specific meaning behind the name? Are the reasons behind their name different in- and out of universe?

i've always liked the name salvadore and shortly before changing her name from jasper i'd seen a post about the name nadir and how in english it can mean a person at their absolute lowest point, while in arabic it means dear or precious. that felt very appropriate for sal, who is often at her lowest but is so very dear & precious to me. for the other parts of her full name - salvadore terciero nadir cereza - i used a name generator and went til i had a full name that had a nice cadence to it. i should have looked up the meanings of these names before i chose them and i did not! but i was later informed that cereza means cherry in spanish, which i think is very very cute, and it's soft-canon that she'll eventually have a sidegig as a cozy game streamer with the name cherrycasual.

6. What was the thought process behind their appearance? Did you go mostly for the aesthetic or are there other reasons they look the way they do?

i wanted her to look long, gangly, and awkward, constantly folding up on herself to make herself small. i love drawing exaggerated turtleneck sweaters so i gave her my personal aversion to having my neck touched. her style of dress is meant to be very like, academic who knows she needs to dress professionally but isn't very good at picking out outfits and really has no fashion sense, so as soon as she found something comfortable and appropriate she just filled her wardrobe with those exact clothes. her hair wasn't initially intended to mimic the friend's tendrils but it's come to in recent years, which i adore. i did redesign her a bit to look more like dev patel (before i decided she was trans) bc i was smitten with him, so that was a big influence!

7. What is an aspect of their appearance that you like the most?

HER HAAAIR i love her hair. i have a very specific way i like to draw her hair and i get very fussy about getting it exactly right. i tend to draw it wayyy too big most of the time but i just get lost in the lovely curves and curls! i love her hair.
