why is almost every argument abt "generative ai" about the theory of its existence and not how it's actually fucking used
#i don't fucking care that it's 'just a tool' who's using it for anything but fucking plagerism#every other fucking meme on twitter is just an image stolen from another site that's been recreated using ai#most ai art atm is just people running other peoples art through what amounts to a particularly heavy filter#like idk this is kind of simple. yes it's a tool that could be used in other ways#but the fact remains that its use is currently ENTIRELY tied up in right wing cultureā the devaluation of artā plagerismā griftā etc.#and it's all for the purpose of eventually getting it into a state where the people funding it think it can replace writers and artists#for the sake of paying us less and churning out more worthless messageless content without meaning
