I got accepted onto long-term disability through my employer/the state, but that doesn’t take effect until August 1st because it’s based off of my resignation date with the district.

I’m making monthly $672.01 COBRA payments to keep my insurance until then, which I need for 100% of my nutrition and hydration through feeding tube and central line.

I’ll need $2016.03 to make it via COBRA alone until August. That’s on top of all of our other bills and my spouse working full-time.

Was thinking about summaries just a little bit ago and realized I have a pattern to mine, so I wanna outline it. A summary of my summaries, if you will.

Establish the world, if necessary

Mention a significant character, by name, and a couple of relevant descriptors—especially weird or intriguing stuff

Mention the inciting incident or an event important to the early story

Hint at what's to come (can be mashed together with the inciting incident in a shorter summary)

Gonna break down some of my summaries following this under the cut using the color-coding above.

Catcross

Katiren (cat shapeshifters) and forahen (forcewielders) have always had to hide themselves. But when the local stray cats start going missing and a politician is assassinated, it's clear something strange is afoot. Jaes, a katir, and Natara, a fora, investigate the issue from both sides and team up with known terrorist Bloodfang, who has been falsely accused of the crime. Ties--familial and platonic--are shaken when secret identities crumble and the truth is revealed.

Tirtenian

Aided by a strange watch and a talking Pigeon, Pom and his friends search for Pom's missing parents. The search is derailed when a cat calling itself YTIY appears, claiming that Pom has the power to slay a god and "fix the multiverse," whatever that means.

Breadheart's Spirit

Breadheart, an ex-kittypet warrior of ShiningClan, takes in his best friend's daughter after he wants nothing to do with her. Unfortunately, StarClan is adamant that the young kit will turn out evil. He and his adopted daughter stick together, because despite betrayals, unrequited love, and prophecies, they'll always have each other.

Clowders & Claws

Quint was wronged by someone he thought he could trust. Now, he wants to take what she stole from him, and the perfect opportunity is around the corner. However, his plans may not be worth the harm when the lives of a litter of kittens are at stake.

Unbelonging, Disbelieving

Stuck in a world he doesn't know and a form he despises, Albedo will have to find a way home without alerting the Plumbers to his presence. During a rather lackluster attempt at survival, he meets this strange world's Kevin. Having to survive in a new universe with the alternate version of one of his worst enemies wasn't part of Albedo's escape plan, but he'll have to improvise.

“…we’re going to become a proper family.” Have you watched #StarWarsVisions on @disneyplus yet? I loved these non-canon vignettes and the different takes on the Star Wars universe and mythos. My favorite by far is episode 8, Lop and Ochō. It’s only about 20 minutes long but it fully encapsulates Star Wars’ grand themes of the environmentalism, the dangers of imperialism, and the radicalization that occurs during conflict, all while centering on a core story of identity, family, and legacy. Oh, and one of the main characters is a lightsaber wielding space bunny! I would love to see more of Lop and Ochō’s story, and a second season of Visions to see other creators’ inventive takes on Star Wars! Following up some charcoal sketches I made of some of my favourite Star Wars characters, I painted this guy on wood panel in acrylics. The Bendu is a forcewielder from the animated series Star Wars Rebels. Now don't get me wrong, I love the main characters and plenty of the second row, and there will be more of these (Holdo is in the works right now), but it's nigh impossible to beat a mystic that blends in with the landscape and has a voice from the deep, AND can shoot lightning from his eyes. Now imagine that no one told him how the little un looked like? They all just said you need to meet her so Rex goes to visit he wanted to check on the young Skywalker anyway...both of them he supposed.

He is greeted by a group of younglings immediately gathering around him with questions. There’s one in particular that is adamant on speaking to him. He blinks because he isn’t sure if he is seeing this right...that little un looks so much like Maul...Darth Maul...red face, horns, and markings and smiling. She has golden brown hair with a single braid and she has question after questions.

Even when the their younglings leave this one keeps chatting away. “Selene it’s time for your lessons.” An older student reminds her. The little one pouts, “but I want to talk to Uncle!”

Uncle....

The elder student rolls their eyes, “you and your uncles.”

This can’t be....

“I suppose I never introduced my self. My name is Selene Trell. My mother Leta is the daughter of one of the troopers of the 212th...and my father is Cress, a mandalorian forcewielder.”

Those two rebel kids...he’d seen them around....that boy...and that girl...

“It’s nice to meet you, Uncle.” She offers her hand.

He takes it, unorthodox for sure...but this little ‘un she was going to make them proud.

“Nice to meet you too little one.” He covers her hand with both of his. “ You’re going to do great.”

She smiles, “ I told grandpa maul you’d say that! He’s actually presenting a lecture, he said he knew you! Do you want to see him?”

Rex is being dragged along by the little Jedi before he can protest.

I’m a chronically ill educator and I’m transitioning to long-term disability through the Arizona State Retirement System. I am reliant on tube feeds and IV fluids to stay alive due to gastroparesis and POTS. I am in gastric failure and have extreme autonomic dysfunction.

However, my benefits will likely not go into effect until July due to LTD not taking effect until 6mo after the “date of disability”- being my resignation date.

I am responsible for my COBRA benefit payments until LTD kicks in, which are $672.01 a month (that penny is cringeworthy) which has been difficult.

Hi there! ❤️❤️ I have a question concerning our lil honeybun Wild from Family Reunion! In some flashbacks Yoda mentioned him being strong with the Force, so I was wondering maybe mommy Reader trained him in forcewielding as she did in saberwielding? Or she chose not to? Or I missed this part?? 😅 And extra question: if this was up to Wild to decide, which Side he'd probably choose? Jedi, Sith? Thanks again for this sweetpea! ❤️💋

Funny you should ask that as that was the next thing I was going to address in the upcoming chapters. I have it in my head that she started with sabers as a way to gauge how to train him and she only recently started to incorporate usage of the force. (Given that she’s supposed to be dead and with her, Wild himself, she focused on weapons to ensure Wild could adapt without relying on the force. This’ll come up later, Wild parrots a lot of what he observes. His mother noticed this in the way he mimicked her form nearly exactly which given the fact she’s “dead” wasn’t great for his safety)

To answer your second question, he’d probably end up similar to Qui-Gon as a gray Jedi. Capable of channeling his emotions but more likely to make use of the uplifting ones rather than the destructive anger and hatred he sees his father use.

all time is right here, right now. we experience an illusion when we think of yesterday or tomorrow. there is no such thing. it is not an illusion to say 'the bus is scheduled at 1:15pm' but it is always an illusion to say 'the bus will arrive at 1:15pm'. it hasnt happened yet, so that makes it an illusion. the schedule is very real, though. time is a tool that we can use to work together. currently it seems like most people are content to excuse their own inability by blaming 'time' in some way or another. the bus was late; no, you failed to adequeatly understand the intricacies and detriments of public transit, so that's why you're late. Something came up that I had to do; no, you failed to adequately prepare yourself and your subordinates for the possibility of something coming up, so that's why you're cancelling. Things happen, and they happen solely and exclusively based on your choices. If you refuse to understand a system, you are blinded by its incomprehensibleness. If you choose to shirk responsibilities, you are bound by the consequences of that choice. When you say 'I am me, I am responsible for every breath I take and every choice I make' you are living to your highest potential. Greatness is not accomplishment, greatness is integrity. Success is not acquired, it is chosen. If any of your choices require you to shirk responsibility or to deny reality then you have chosen to believe that a moral life can be bought and sold, that it is a product to consume and discard once it has fulfilled a momentary purpose. Like time, money is a tool for a purpose. It is a tool with the main purpose of encouraging us to work together. it is a medium for us to exchange the products of our values. when reasonable people disagree they dont need guns to arbitrate their disagreement. when reasonable people disagree they do not rely on force or fear to make their point for them. when reasonable people disagree they defer ONLY to reality! Reality is the awareness that instead of choosing to learn from your mistakes you choose to enslave the rest of the world to make the same mistakes, through force and not reason! That is, the enslaver, the heavyhander, the forcewielder, do have a reason. Their reason is to deny that reasons are valid. Their reason is to believe that anyone can be forced to do what you want them to do. The only response to the barrel of a gun is this: 'No, I will not do what you tell me to do simply because you hold my life at the tip of your finger. If you truly have no use of my abilities then erase my abilities from the world'. It is a gamble with a frightened animal. It is nipping the paw of the cornered rat. But it is integrity. It is free choice. It is a choice not bound by fear, time, money or illusion. It rests on the idea that those who wield force seek to enslave great minds. The trouble is that this desire to enslave is only the tip of the iceberg. For those who seek to enslave greatness, their true desire lies in the destruction of the capable. Their desire is to eradicate those who consider themselves of the moral good, through fear. The truth is this; there will always be guns, fear and reality, and only you can choose how you will live your life. only you can choose what you will believe.
