New AU for my OCxCanon with Bellflower Cookie. It's heavily based on the song. Here's the WIP ref and the rambles of the story under the cut. Note that Bellflower is the singer, Black Forest is the "ex"! They would have human names but I don't have them right now. Red Velvet would come be in this AU in some way as well. But this is just self-indulgence tbh.

Alright, I don't talk enough about Black Forest Cookie so I'll say it like this. Black Forest Cookie, in canon, she doesn't think much of herself as important but a "background" character. She never really had much outside her parents in canon and when she had to flee the Dark Cacao Kingdom due to its deteriorating conditions, she had lost her parents along the way, only having Varian (her cakehound) with her. But basically, what I am trying to say is Black Forest didn't have a lot of positive opinions on herself.

So take that person and put them in a modern AU similar to the real world. While yes her parents are alive, Korea's education system is..SOMETHING alright, and so are the laws and how people around her seem to view LGBT. Black Forest is very much vulnerable to being peer pressured and with how the people around her seem to not think of same-sex couples as a normal thing, she thought the same. While she was waiting for her entrance exam results to get into medical school (she doesn't exactly want to do it), she found some time to reprieve both online and real life. And online, she met Bellflower! The two got along well and Black Forest, being stuck in compulsive heterosexuality, didn't realise she liked that online friend. The online friend eventually said that she had to go somewhere else and won't be able to talk much anymore. At the same time, Black Forest found out she passed her entrance exams and is officially in!

So..turns out that online friend had said that because..Bellflower is attending the same university as a medicinal student. So the two eventually reocgnised each other and Black Forest just felt her feelings becoming stronger and Bellflower reciprocates. But..with societal pressure, Black Forest tried to force it away..just like the song said. Bellflower, however kind she may be, was getting confused about what Black Forest truly wanted. So like..it's not really going to end well :( but I will give them a happy ending, trust me.
