QR code idea

After Iris feedback that the printed QR code was a bit distracting I thought about ways of how I could make the code more part of the design.  Then I came up with the idea of maybe it is possible to weave a QR code, this is however something I have never seen before so I started doing some research and could only find one good example. After that I knew it was possible to I printed out a test code and measured how wide each stipe had to be and then I marked that on my test fabric. I also chose to cut thin ribbons out of plastic in order to make it look more coherent with the rest of the design.  It took a while to make this and it was a bit fiddly but after strengthening and fasting everything on the backside the code actually works!!! This is super exiting and could be such a cool addition to my designs.

Showed Iris this the day after and she said that she loves it and absolutely wouldn't mind that this was the focus of the backside.
