"...Why are people calling the primordial stones 'Chaos Emeralds'? I made seven of those and only one of them is green. Also, just because you can't handle the power within them and that -I- made them doesn't mean they're 'chaotic', 'evil' or 'destructive' in nature. That's fucking profiling against me."
"Also, where the fuck did you guys find those? Heaven took all my shit when they banished me down here---probably hiding the stones so I couldn't tempt mankind with their power or use them to break myself out."
"I want my funky glowing rocks back."
#dash commentary#character: satan#for shits and giggles I am claiming that Satan made the chaos emeralds#because in a thread with primordialruin Satan showed Lilith all the wonders beneath the earth and taught her about metals and gemstones#because Satan was jealous about how all the other angels were bragging about their creations ON Earth when he basically built the foundatio#because if Satan is a giant fuck-off dragon who can make miniature suns he should be allowed to make mountains and hoard shit in them

Where did the name Firefly Foundations come from? Was it before or after the Chris Garneau song
because I really love fireflies
I found out about the Fireflies song after I named the title that, it happened to fit fucking perfectly for the story which is wild!!!
Although I honestly completely forgot how I came up with the name though 😭😭 I think I just liked fireflies at the time and came up with something surrounding that? I wish I remembered man 😭
#Asks#I can tell you like fireflies LMFAO#I came up with the title I think in 2021? Too long ago for me to exactly remember why I named it that :(#If I ever remember I’ll probably reblog this again with why I named the story that but I doubt I’ll figure it out#I do know that the title was originally just fireflies but I thought that was a little too basic and decided to name it after the foundatio#I have in the story

Hi, a long time ago you said some weird things in the comments of a post about saints being alive in god and "praying in heaven" or something. Any chance you can explain why you ignore the Bible stating that heaven won't be created until after the Second Coming and all the events of the End Times are over, when everyone gets resurrected (which is what heaven is explained to be in the Bible)? It explicitly states that everyone who has ever died is unconscious, unknowing and unaware, "as if in sleep" until then.
So, first things first, I'm always saying weird things, so jot that down.
Second, I went to my Christianity tag to try and find the post you are referring to, and honestly had quite a good time reading other posts I had forgotten about.
Third, is this your first rodeo in "accosting someone on anon to discuss apologetics mentioned in a post that happened many moons ago"? because the baity "ignore The Bible" "explained to be in the Bible" phrasing is really cheap. Or, if you think this is the beginning of a long conversation where you'll provide those quotes as some sort of gotcha, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but this is the first and last ask that I will answer in this chain. If you DO want to discuss this further, then come and show your face on a reblog.
There's only two posts I can find that seem to fit your description:
This one, where funnily enough I said Christ didn't command us to be petty smartasses to each other (that does include trying to stir shit like you do here).
And this one, where I explained more than sufficiently the Biblical roots of the Catholic position on the intercession of the saints, so for any elaboration in that particular, there, although I forgot to mention John 8:56: "Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.”
As for the existence of Heaven before the End Times as a separate issue, well, where else did Jesus go when he ascended, BODILY? We can talk of Heaven as the physical reality of The New Heavens and New Earth, where we think resurrected bodies will be, and Heaven as the spiritual reality of life in God, Glory. And if being in Heaven that way is living in God, then that is an experience completely outside of time, because God is infinite and eternal. Basically Christ's ascension is His leaving time for eternity, and from the pov of eternity there isn't a before or an after Earth; all that happens on Earth is eternal present from the perspective of eternity.
The only way the saints could be waiting for Heaven at the same time they await resurrection, as asleep and outside of God's vision, it's if they are in a third place, neither Heaven nor Hell. Which is basically Purgatory Lite. And as you probably know, the concept of Purgatory is very frowned upon outside Catholicism.
#sorry for the folk that have the usual tags I use for these posts blacklisted#But I don't have time for the debates that putting this in the tags would bring up#As a general thing I don't believe confrontational apologetics helps most people change their minds or even accept the nuance and foundatio#of other people's beliefs specially when it comes to Christianity#and that's why I'm not usually here for it at all

Stay On Time with Salah: Accurate UK Prayer Timetable by Al-Wahab Foundation
For Muslims, Salah, or daily prayer, is a central part of practicing their faith. It is a ritual that brings peace, discipline, and a strong connection to Allah. Observing Salah at the right time enhances this spiritual experience, and following a precise Prayer Timetable is essential. For Muslims living in the UK, Al-Wahab Foundation offers a trusted and convenient resource for accessing accurate prayer times, ensuring that each act of worship aligns with the prescribed hours for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha. Here, we explore the significance of having a prayer timetable, how Al-Wahab Foundation simplifies the process, and why staying updated on prayer times is vital for a devout Muslim life in the UK.
Why Follow a Prayer Timetable?
Prayer is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, and performing it on time is crucial. Each prayer time is uniquely tied to certain phases of the day, often marked by the sun's position, symbolizing the natural rhythm of life. Adhering to a prayer timetable ensures that each Salah is performed at the optimal time, reflecting dedication and respect for the discipline Allah prescribes.
However, calculating these prayer times can be a challenge, especially in a country like the UK where daylight hours vary significantly across seasons. The differences in daylight length make having an accurate, updated prayer timetable crucial for every Muslim living in the UK. It ensures that no prayer is delayed or performed incorrectly due to time miscalculations.
Prayer Timetable in the UK: Challenges and Adaptations
Muslims in the UK experience a wide range of daylight changes throughout the year, creating specific challenges when it comes to setting a prayer timetable. The latitude of the country results in shorter days in winter and longer days in summer. As a result, prayer times shift significantly from season to season. This requires prayer timetables that are highly accurate and adaptive to the varying sunrise and sunset times.
Al-Wahab Foundation recognizes these challenges and provides reliable solutions by offering a regularly updated prayer timetable that accounts for the UK's unique geographical conditions. The prayer timetable from Al-Wahab Foundation incorporates calculations based on Islamic scholarly recommendations, making it easier for Muslims to observe each Salah at the right time, even as the seasons change.
How Al-Wahab Foundation Supports Muslims in the UK with Accurate Prayer Times
Al-Wahab Foundation is dedicated to serving the Muslim community by providing valuable resources that enhance their faith practices. Among these resources is a comprehensive prayer timetable available on their website, which helps Muslims across the UK stay in sync with the exact prayer times for their region. By simply visiting Al-Wahab Foundation’s prayer timetable, users can access an accurate, daily-updated timetable for all five prayers.
This service is invaluable in enabling Muslims to uphold their daily prayers with consistency and ease. The prayer timetable provided by Al-Wahab Foundation is designed to be accessible and easy to understand, with clear information for each prayer time, allowing Muslims to integrate Salah seamlessly into their daily lives.
The Importance of Staying Updated with Prayer Times
In addition to having a reliable prayer timetable, staying updated with changes in prayer times is essential. The variations in daylight across the year mean that prayer times can shift by minutes each day. Fajr, which is observed at dawn, and Maghrib, observed at sunset, are particularly sensitive to these shifts. An outdated timetable could lead to prayers being performed outside their prescribed times, which diminishes the essence and benefit of the ritual.
With the Al-Wahab Foundation’s prayer timetable, UK Muslims can rest assured that they have the most accurate information at their fingertips. The timetable is updated regularly, allowing Muslims to adjust their routines effortlessly as the times for each Salah change. This level of convenience removes any uncertainty and provides peace of mind, helping Muslims focus fully on their worship.
Key Features of Al-Wahab Foundation's Prayer Timetable
Daily-Updated Times: The Al-Wahab Foundation’s prayer timetable is updated frequently to reflect the changing daylight hours, ensuring that users have access to accurate timings every day.

Nationwide Accessibility: Whether you're in London, Birmingham, Manchester, or any other city in the UK, Al-Wahab Foundation provides prayer times that cater to various locations across the country. This ensures that the entire Muslim community in the UK can rely on a single, unified prayer timetable.
Mobile Access: Since the timetable is available online, users can access it from any device. This means that even when on the go, Muslims can quickly check prayer times and make the necessary adjustments to observe Salah on time.
Special Consideration for Ramadan: During Ramadan, prayer times become even more significant as Muslims observe fasting from dawn to sunset. The prayer timetable provided by Al-Wahab Foundation includes Fajr and Maghrib timings, aiding Muslims in starting and breaking their fasts accurately.
Practical Benefits of Using a Prayer Timetable

Building a Habit with the Prayer Timetable
Consistency in Salah brings numerous blessings, yet it requires commitment and a structured approach. The Al-Wahab Foundation’s prayer timetable simplifies this by providing a daily reference that makes it easy to establish and maintain a routine. By referring to the timetable daily, Muslims can form a habit that aligns their day with prayer, instilling peace and consistency in their lives.
As a habit, Salah reinforces mindfulness and discipline. Through regular prayers at designated times, Muslims reinforce their devotion and mindfulness in a world that is often fast-paced. Having a prayer timetable helps cultivate this sense of spirituality and discipline, making daily prayers a natural part of one’s life.
Conclusion: Stay Updated with Al-Wahab Foundation’s Prayer Timetable
For Muslims in the UK, observing Salah at the correct time is not just a practice but an expression of devotion and respect for Allah’s command. Just an Accident
Welp. Uh. OKAY - first off no actual harm comes to the tiny!
Still kinndaaa def angsty tho ngl - oop
~~~~~~~~~~
Astel yelped like a kicked dog - all high pitched and suddenly, painfully betrayed terrified - as a hand large enough to crush him beneath it came rushing down from far above. His legs collapsed underneath him, and he shot his arms up in a useless attempt to ward off his impending fate as he trembled in horror, only for the hand to abruptly stop.
For a second, everything was still. Then a giant face peered from around that palm that was now nothing but menacing in Astel's eyes, Chris looking down at him in surprise.
Chris's eyes were wide with his startlement, but they relaxed as he finally spotted Astel, casually moving his hand back away and to his distant side. "Woah, didn't see you there, buddy," he chuckled as easy as anything. He gave a funny little smile when he noticed Astel's tense, stiff posture, awkwardly joking, "Geez man, relax. You're acting like I was trynna kill you, or something."
And then, as if nothing had happened at all, the giant just... walked away, rubbing at the back of his neck as he headed for the living room.
Astel swallowed in large gulps of air, his trembling finally picking up now that the adrenaline from the shock finally hit his system. He shakily put a hand over his mouth, squeezing his eyes shut and scrunching his knees to his chest.
No, Chris hadn't been trying to kill him.
Astel couldn't help but think that that fact made it all the worse that the giant still almost had.
If Chris hadn't heard his scream - if he'd been wearing those headphones and blasting music like he was prone to do - Astel could be dead right now.
He could be nothing more than a smear of mangled bones protruding from his flesh in broken shards, crushed into a pulp without any intention behind it.
Just a giant's careless action, not looking where he was placing his hand before going to lean against a counter to reach a higher shelf, and Astel would be gone.
Or maybe he would've survived. Maybe the seemingly immeasurable weight of Chris's palm bearing down on him would've only landed on part of him - just an arm, or his legs.
And then Astel would be dead anyway. it was a feat approaching impossibility to fix a broken limb at his size. And no borrower could live a long life after losing the use of a limb.
An arm? Maybe. It wouldn't be a very good life, though. Climbing - basically an essential to a borrower's way of life - would from then on be out of the question. His sense of balance that he'd spent his entire life honing to a fine point would return to that of a helpless child's. His ability to care for himself the way a single borrower needed to would arguably be at less than that.
A leg? Both? He might as well kill himself then and there for how long he'd survive on his own afterwards.
And what other option would there be? Staying with Chris full-time? Losing his own autonomy and slowly but surely regressing to being treated as something less than - some kind of pet? Coddled and dehumanized and treated like an object rather than anything worth more -
Astel shuddered, burying his head against his knees.
It was fine. He was fine. None of that had happened, so there was no point in thinking about it.
Chris hadn't meant to come off as so callus about it, either, Astel was sure. The giant was probably thinking about something else, hadn't noticed how truly close he had come to -
Astel swallowed heavily, his arms curling across his chest to clutch at his ribs, soothing, comforting.
It was-
He was fine.
Chris cared about him, he did. It was just an accident - one that technically didn't even happen.
... so what if Astel's pulse refused to settle, if waking nightmares flashed across the backs of his eyelids with every squeezed-tight blink.
... so what if Astel couldn't help but now think that every carefully dealt out ounce of trust he had steadily handed out to the giant was built on a foundation of sand, of splintering wood that had already been eaten through from the very beginning.
--------
whow this was uhh another more depresso fic than expected, uhhhhhh ye
Not really loving how this turned out, but it's been a minute since I've posted a story soooo Huhzahz
I absolutely love it when people bring up "aemonds love for his family" as if he didn't abandon them when rhaenyra took over kl to fuck alys 🤣 and even when cole asked him to come with him he refused and even alicent confidence he'll come for them but he never did 🤣
No not tg stans bringing up the daemon vs aemond fight and completely ignoring the maelys part which they all knew only she would come but they still fought her 2 v 1 because alone even with vhagar, meleys would win no problem. So sunfyre would have been a peice of cake alone, like he lost a fight with a war horse sized dragon later 😭
Like bro even in battle over the gods eye aemond only comes confident he would absolutely win, why did he think that? Dameon has not only famously broke his hips but he also has a dragon that is smaller than meleys, which is why that coward came, he even says it himself
Luke going to storms end: "Vhagar sensed his coming first....... a roar that shook the very foundatio..Even arrax quailed before that sound, we are told, and Luke plied his whip freely as he forced him down."
Aemond coming to fight:
" ..... You were a fool to come alone.”
“Were I not alone, you would not have come,” said Daemon
And you know what grrm was trying to do with that dailouge? Make a parallel with lucerys, where lucerys walked in despite the fact there is no way if vhagar decided to attack they would survive, aemond only came to fight thinking he'd win
And he fact in show aemond is completely silent though out the discussion till he absolutely knows lucerys has no allies here, and he even fucking smiles when borros asks then to leave, absolutely knowing he's about to chase them, people who have no way to fight or protect themselves
I get why tg people like the tg characters tbh, they provide surface level badassery but all of them feel so bad about their own actions you still have that detachment that you're not guilty for liking them 🤷🏽♀️ situation made them like this. Which btw is not a sentiment they would ever extend for lucerys, a 5 year old who had to protect his brother and 14 year old who had to leave after doing his Duty. Happy knowing all of green faction perishes for lucerys 🔥
S. Korean Bank Eyes Loan Curbs for Moon Firms (1991)
December 9, 1991 | Robin Bulman, Paul Blustein Source: Washington Post
▲Yongpyong Resort, a subsidiary company of the Tongil Foundatio
SEOUL, DEC. 9 -- An official for a leading South Korean bank said today that his institution is not likely to make any new loans in the near future to the business empire controlled by Rev. Sun Myung Moon, which already is beset by falling profits and plunging stock prices.
The official for the Korea First Bank, top creditor for the Moon business empire, said other lenders were becoming "very nervous" and will be "carefully watching" Moon's businesses in coming days to make sure that healthy affiliates are not using borrowed funds to subsidize troubled ones.
The 72-year-old Moon has used the profits from his Tongil Business Group, a conglomerate he controls, to help finance his worldwide evangelical and conservative political activities.
Moon, the founder of the Unification Church, uses his businesses to subsidize his religious, political and journalistic ventures, which include the Washington Times, schools and more than a dozen other publications in the United States, Korea and Japan.
If Moon is feeling financially hemmed in, however, he is doing his best not to show it. The Segye Times, a church-owned daily newspaper, reported today that Moon signed a contract over the weekend during a visit to North Korea to invest in a variety of tourism and industrialization projects in the communist North.
But evidence is mounting that Moon's businesses, which include makers of auto parts, machinery, beverages and metal, are running into difficulty. Six of the 14 largest companies in the Tongil conglomerate lost money in 1990, according to a recent cover story in the Sisa Journal, a Korean-language magazine.
Moreover, the stock prices of the four Tongil companies listed on the Korean stock exchange have been plunging; they fell by the limit every day last week and did so again in this morning's trading session.
The four firms -- Sae Il Heavy Industries Co., Il Sung Construction Co., Ilshin Stone Co. and Hankook Titanium Ind. Co. -- have seen their share prices fall 17 percent to 33 per cent in the past month. Sae Il's stock fell 4.4 percent today and is down 61.5 percent since Feb. 22.
Then came the latest setback: Korean newspapers reported Sunday and today that the presidents of the four main creditor banks of the Tongil group decided at a meeting last week to halt new loans to companies affiliated with the group.
The high-ranking official of Korea First Bank said the news reports contained inaccuracies, but he said Korea First probably will not grant any fresh loans to Tongil affiliates for the time being.
The bank official emphasized that the banks are not canceling their credit lines, because the loans they have made to Moon's businesses are well secured by collateral, including valuable real estate. "So far, our relationship with the Tongil group has been satisfactory," he said.
Officials of Moon's companies could not be reached for comment.
One of the chief reasons for the sudden concern about Moon's businesses, the banker said, is Moon's trip to North Korea, because contact with the North is generally forbidden under South Korean law. "When we heard the news that Rev. Moon might have breached Korean law, we naturally wanted to check our positions," he said.
But, he added, "Even before this event, bankers have known that the Tongil group has balance sheet problems. Their profits have been deteriorating every year." What banks are most concerned about, he said, is lending to one Tongil affiliate just so it can pass the money on to a weaker member of the group. "We don't want to take on another bank's burden," he said.
Although information about the Tongil group is hard to come by, one of the most loss-plagued members is widely believed to be Ilwha Co., a beverage maker that has seen its fortunes fall on the declining popularity of its barley-flavored soft drink.
Another serious problem spot is the Segye Times, which was hit by the resignations of 150 reporters and editors last month when Bo Hi Pak, Moon's top aide, assumed the presidency of the paper and transferred 20 staff members from a church-sponsored religious weekly. About 70 of the protesting journalists eventually returned to their jobs.
A senior South Korean Finance Ministry official reportedly was present at last week's meeting of Tongil's bankers. But ministry bureaucrats dismissed any suggestion that the agency had ordered the banks to get tough with Tongil, whether because of Moon's North Korean venture or for any other reason.
"This has nothing to do with political or governmental considerations," said an official in the ministry's bank division. "The banks have to make their own decisions. The ministry's role is passive, not active."
Nevertheless, the government has made clear its displeasure over Moon's dealings with North Korea.
A devout anticommunist, Moon shares the South Korea government's abhorrence of the rigid Stalinism espoused by the North. But he was born in the North, and Korean observers have said he wants to play a key role in helping to unify the two Koreas at the end of the Cold War.
If Moon -- a resident of the United States -- returns to South Korea, where he has been staying recently, he may be charged with violating the national security laws. But it is unclear whether he is coming back here or not. He reportedly left Pyongyang Saturday for Beijing, presumably to discuss with Chinese leaders some of his investments in that country.
The Segye Times's story today did not elaborate on how much Moon promised to actually invest in North Korea, nor the source of the investment funds.
NOTE: this is an old draft that does not reflect my current ideas but I liked the thoughts behind it so I'm posting it anyway. You can find my new updated thoughts here.
If Pavitr had to have a job/role from the FFXIV universe, he'd be a dark knight.
Like yes he's going to be a part of the emo edgelord gang and wield a big, grim-looking sword. He's going to be dressed in black, pointy armour and everything, be all moody and foreboding and lonely and covered in blood and absolutely livid and drenched in gore and viscera and the miasma of suffering. He's dressed in the skin of a killer.
Agni, that doesn't sound like it'd fit Pavitr. He's a kind guy so he'd probably be a healer!! He's cracking jokes!! He's so friendly!! He's lovely and he gets along with everyone!! Why would he be a dark knight?
In the context of what ATSV has built up regarding the Spider Society/mentors, as well as drawing upon how Indian culture approaches mental health, I genuinely think the dark knight job matches Pavitr to a tee. Lemme break it down for you [break dances].
SPOILERS for the DARK KNIGHT QUESTS.
The dark knight job is... if "with great power, there must also come great responsibility" delighted to get its hands bloody. It's a tank job, meaning at its very core its about protecting the party no matter the costs, and "no matter the costs" is pretty big for the dark knight specifically, because it means you have to dig deep for the darkness that lies within every heart and soul.
And like all Spider-Men, Pavitr is riddled with darkness — drowning in guilt, his regrets (losing Bhim Uncle, a father figure, a mentor), and after what went down in ATSV, with the collider and Mumbattan falling apart? Suddenly there's a lot of fear thrown into the mix, if whether he'll be able to do his job of protecting. If he's even good at it; after all, he was too busy having fun and being carefree to handle the Spot. He was called in as backup, he was called in to provide support, he was called in to help others but he failed.
He is the blade of virtue and righteousness. He is to sever the threads of evil, to cut wrongdoers down before they even have a chance to strike.
And one night, there's a little blood on his hands. Just a little, not enough to soak his entire fist, but it's enough to stain the ground an ugly red.
And at first Pavitr is horrified — Spider-Man was never supposed to go this far. He was not supposed to kill. Spider-Man never kills. (But he's the blade of virtue and righteousness. Blades are very good at killing.)
Conflicting emotions keep him from really finding help — Spider Society, and its twisted perception of mentors? Miguel's strict code and Peter B.'s nonchalance don't make good foundations for seeking help. And while Jessica is by far the most suitable adult there to actually provide support, Pavitr never gives her the chance, because Indian boys don't have problems. Their issues are theirs to handle on their own, because they're men, they're independent, and any showcase of vulnerability is a sign of weakness. It means you are crippled and you are worthless and you are undeserving of others.
And so Pavitr is left to stew in his own madness. He doesn't divulge any of his miseries, his sorrows, his fears, he doesn't say anything to the bruises on his fists or the metallic pang of steel that follows him everywhere. He hides it with a smile, of course, because Indian boys look nicer when they smile, are pleasant and approachable and are a sign that they have been raised right. Pavitr's a nice boy, the aunties say amongst themselves. He'll grow up a right young man and help the world in many ways.
But with every outing as a hero, Pavitr comes back feeling like a fraud. He's a murderer, an unanchored soul who can't keep up with his body, a dulled blade who gifts suffering instead of a quick demise. It's also then, when he's balancing on the knife's edge of darkness, that he finds the dead knight in the shadows of Mumbattan's abandoned foundational infrastructure.
Pavitr has been finding many dead folk recently — which is no surprise, death follows him wherever he goes — but he's surprised to see the knight come back to life, 'claiming his mortal wounds were nothing but a scratch. And the knight, oh, he knows Pavitr is hurting, is aching, is drenched in so much blood that he doesn't even know what to do with himself. And he offers his aid — one bloodied soul to another. I'll help you tame that darkness, the knight promises, I'll offer my blade so that you may become my pupil, a true blade of virtue and righteousness.
Pavitr can't say no to that.
#the biggest twist is that it isnt darkness that powers the dark knight. it's love. and you are right. pavitr is full of love#he's just misguided in a time where he desperately needs help. help that society isnt willing (or hesitating) to give to him#marvel should hire me. i will right the wrongs everyone (INCLUDING marvel) has committed upon him#please please please just THINK about what you're doing with this guy okay. thinking goes a long away#spider man india#ffxiv#agnirambles#pavitr prabhakar
