All right-y, lads, as we all know, ginger has a "profoundly deleterious effect on Time Lord metabolism."

In my searches of Doctor Who media, I have caught 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, and 13 consuming ginger, oftentimes when they really shouldn't be (i.e. driving the TARDIS or in the middle of some episodic, life-threatening adventure of sorts).

Like this is very....not good? Ginger has such a profound effect on the Doctor that when Shakespeare spiked his drink, he was able to sneak into the TARDIS and hitch a ride without him noticing (leading to him almost changing history dramatically). It even affected the TARDIS (because of the symbiosis), causing her to randomly dematerialize and leave Peri and Erimem stranded 2 years before the Doctor (2 years they had to live through, mind you).

Like dear lord what the hell are they thinking?

I was referring to the Lisi Harrison books!

The third one has a focus on Clawdeen, and in it we see him and Draculaura get together and it seems pretty cute and sweet, and all around he's fine character wise, with the caveat that he's kinda sexist. Tbh the book portrays that as being a commonality in werewolf culture (which is....infuriating) But in the fourth one, which focuses on Draculaura, the two are actively dating and he suuuucks.

He's portrayed as being too embarrassed to be seen with her in front of his friends, so every time the two are together, it's just him brushing her off. Meanwhile she's going through a wicked hard time, because Dracula also sucks in that book and puts a shit ton of pressure on her. And book Draculaura is such a sweetheart, and kind of a pushover, so it's extra hard to read.

So yeah...book Clawd (and Dracula) can still choke lol.

i think the bottom of it is just that there are a few people out there whose mannerisms and personalities are just tailored to be irrepressibly charming to you and when you encounter them you just have to surrender and be swept off your feet and then move on. And sometimes that’s a straight guy

I'm not a fan at all of this new trend in Star Wars to avoid developing a new planet by showing it obscured by mist and fog. Just feels cheap and unimaginative. The three places they've done it so far (Mimban in Solo, the Clone Wars vision in Ahsoka, and At Achrann in Skeleton Crew) are all fine, I guess, I just hope this doesn't become a recurring thing.

can i confess something. i like dont watch studio ghibli movies i never have i didnt grow up on them. the furthest i ever got into one was like halfway into kagura hime but i got kind of bored bc i already knew the story and stopped (even though it was very beautiful). but by some series of odd coincidences i keep finding new favourite songs then finding out they were used as themes for ghibli movies so maybe i should. watch them i mean

funny thing happened when i was subbing fourth grade technology today. a boy raised his hand when i introduced myself as miss (last name) and said "there used to be someone who looked JUST like you who worked at after care a few years ago."

the fact this is genuinly the reason for the whole plot of orv-- the fact that hes so cruel in his sacrifice because nothing any of his companions could say would make him hate himself any less.

they are powerless in the face of his hatred. they always will be and always would have been. that is orv.

god i seriously am never getting over That Scene in orv. kim dokja has so little compassion for himself that the only thing he can think to do upon being confronted with the most powerless, frightened, vulnerable version of himself is to try and murder it with his own hands. even when everyone is sobbing and begging him to stop, even when everyone has already forgiven him without reservation, even when yoo motherfucking pilgrim of the apocalypse joonghyuk cannot muster any animosity, kdj will not stop trying to convince them this trembling little boy needs to die. it had been well established by that point that kdj is self destructive and self loathing, but he was good at maintaining some emotional distance from his actions. but the moment he steps off that train, recognizes his own drawings, realizes what's happened, that impassive veneer shatters and he becomes desperate and vicious. this man hates himself so much. seriously, can you imagine how it must have felt to be oldest dream? you're an abused, lonely, depressed child. profoundly alone in this world, betrayed by everyone you've ever loved. you are so frightened of everything you can't bear to live in reality. you meet yourself from the future, but even he has no sympathy for you. no, he hates you. he hates you so much he wants to kill you. he would point a broken sword at his own throat if it meant he could erase you. you don't know what you did wrong. you never do. all you can do is cower from the monster and hope he doesn't get you.

like it's so fucked up. orv is so fucked up.
