Grandmaster Patrick X Lance

Lance, chained to the wall of the Frostborn dungeon, stood before Grandmaster Patrick. The exiled void lord had hoped he’d get away with his attempt to wring the end crystal from Nostra’s hands. Patrick suddenly ceased his pacing, turning to Lance with a solemn glare. “Void Lord, we have tried twice to befriend you, and both times you turned your back to us. First to the Netherbane and now to the entirety of Dreadfort. For your crimes against the Frostborn you will be held here till the end of your days, or executed if the others choose so.”

The grim reality of what the Grandmaster had told him came crashing down on Lance. He fell to his knees, shackled hands held together as if in prayer. “Please! You, you can’t! One more chance , I’m begging you!” Lance’s eyes welled up with tears as the cold pit of dread inside him sunk deeper and deeper. “Please, my lord, I promise I’ll do anything…” he added, desperately hoping his captor would take pity on him, perhaps even enough to save him from his demise.

These Hands

WARNING: Ship pairing Lance and Kane from Fractures. If you don't like this ship then don't read.

“These hands… These hands that cradle your face and guide your lip to mine have been the cause of an unfathomable amount of gore and tragedy.” The Prince of the Void whispered, a dark shadow fell over his eyes as they fell away from Kane’s face in shame. His shoulders tightened as the familiar guilt rose up in his chest and it made his arms tremble. Yet the pale, frigid hands did not move away from the Captain of the Netherbane’s face.

“Yet they still cradle me, don’t they?” Kane responded, his voice was tired and desperate. He leaned into Lance’s body, feeling the way the smaller body fit against his own. 

“Yes… Oh yes, of course they do, my Captain…” Lance breathed out a shaking laugh, leaning back as he took the full weight of the man onto him easily. His breath was shaking and he could hear Kane’s steadier breath in his ear as they both took comfort from one another greedily.
