Made another Cookieee, I may have hinted at her before (:
Franzbrötchen Cookie (A supposed german cinnamon croissant) is a weapon-smith, and is the one who made Mochi Donut Cookie's 'Battenburg Blaster'.
They/ She pronouns. They're a chirpy and happy cookie who loves tinkering and coming up with gizmos. Always has a big smile on their face!
They're possibly a long distant relative to Croissant Cookie... though it could just be a coincidence.

The year is ten days old, and I still haven't finished Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Admittedly, I'm doing a lot of work on my Bachelor's thesis during the day, and also most of the chores in our household. Still, bit of a scratch on my ego. My reading speed was really good once.
Things that went good:
I'm getting back into my working rhythm that I had before the holidays. Go me.
I bought oats, and I filled and baked apples. Love them; new favorite thing. If the scales weren't so ungracious with me these days, I would eat them all the time.
Despite the ungracious scales, I am in fact doing sports on an almost daily basis again. I don't particularly like myself these days, so I need the reminder that I'm doing fairly well.
Things that went not so good:
My brother contacted me, and I'm not sure if he found my reply offensive? We're so out of touch these days socially; I have no idea. And even if I chose the right words, how on earth would we reignite a contact that we literally haven't had in years? Last time we so much as texted was almost a year back when I sent him birthday wishes.
My friend got out of the hospital earlier than expected - which itself is good news, but robbed me of a short-term trip to visit him, and also of the reason to bake Franzbrötchen. Now I don't have Franzbrötchen bc I thought we couldn't use them up on our own, and I didn't get out of the house. I need to get out of the house.
I'm so annoyed with my mom right now, and I don't know why?? She's vibing with an energy completely opposite to mine these days. Granted, my energy is "I hate the entire world", so it's probably not her fault.
Still having weird dreams. At least it's not apocalypse visions now, but it's still got a latent death theme. No wonder I don't get out of bed in the morning. If I start having dreams about the elections, I'll shoot Merz and go for temporary insanity.
I'm cold all the time. I'm back to health and the radiator is working; why am I cold all the time? Rude.
Things to do tomorrow:
Laundry!
Dishes! They are a song that never ever ends...~
Go to the drugstore; I need a few things.
Finish reading this book so I can start one that brings me more joy. My reading year is not off to a great start.
Things to do these days:
Plan a visit to a friend, either to him who just got out of the hospital or the other, bigger trip I wanted to do to see my Bavarian friends. I really need to get out for once, and I miss my friends, and would love to finally meet one of them in person when we've only been writing friends so far. And they had a really nice idea for what we could do together, but because the travel is further away, it intimidates me more than a weekend visit that only takes three hours on the train. Need to get over myself.
Get finished with my research on the Moabiter Unruhen, my beloathed.
Bake something nice for myself. We still have gingerbread and Christmas cookies, but I crave variety.

M For Monkey Bread | Pull-apart Sweet Buns
Tumblr media
Monkey bread, as the name suggests is a very naughty and fun bread to make and eat with kids and kid's at heart. When reading about this bread, it was interesting to read, that the name of the bread 'Aranygaluska', means 'Golden Dumplings' and was referred to in the Hungarian literature as early as the 1880's. The name 'Monkey Bread' came into use for the fact that the bread is quite playful and can be pulled apart by hands, just the way monkeys would pull apart stuff and eat. This bread was the perfect fit for my family with 2 monkeys, err....2 boys as they loved to play around with it. I made the bread in the afternoon when the boys were at school, but I was thinking of them a lot as they would have loved to roll the tiny balls and dip them in the butter. Next time, when the family has recovered enough from my month long baking, I will be baking these on a weekend when the boys are around. What is a Monkey Bread - The bread  dough is a pretty simple milk based dough with a little sugar in it. The dough is then pinched off into tiny balls (about 64 to be exact) and then dipped in meted butter and then cinnamon sugar and then stacked against each other in a Bundt pan. The Bundt pan would be the choice of pan as it will help in baking the bread uniformly. In a regular pan, the bread in the deep inside might not bake well and might remain a little doughy. The cinnamon and the sugar along with the butter smelled heavenly when the bread was baking inside the oven. The caramel flavor was very obvious and the pieces were evenly coated in it. There is a simple sugar glaze that I drizzled over the bread. This is completely optional. The bread was sweet enough without the glaze and did not need any more sweetness. The sugar glaze added a nice look to the bread and the boys really enjoyed licking it off.

My other bakes in the A – Z Baking around the World Marathon –  A for Almond cookies from China B for Bretzel Rolls from Germany C for Chocolate Cupcakes with Chocolate Buttercream Frosting from USA D for Danish Cookies from Denmark E for Empanada from Argentina F for Franzbrötchen from Germany G for Grissini from Italy H for Hot Cross Buns from England I for Irish Freckle Bread from Ireland J for Jan Hagel Cookies from Netherlands K for Kiffles / Kiflis from Hungary L for Lagana Bread from Greece Preparation time - 20 minutes + about 3 hours of inactive time Baking time - 30 minutes Difficulty level - easy
Ingredients to make the Monkey Bread (Makes one Bundt pan) -
To Make the Dough -  All Purpose flour - 3 1/2 cups (plus a little more for dusting) Granulated sugar - 1/4 cup Salt - 2 tsp Instant yeast - 2 1/4 tsp (one package) Warm milk - 1 cup Warm water - 1/3 cup Butter - 2 tbsp (melted) + 2 Tbsp (softened) To make the Cinnamon sugar coating -  Butter - 6 Tbsp (melted) Cinnamon - 2 tbsp Light brown sugar - 1 cup To Make the Glaze (optional) -  Confectionery sugar - 3/4 cup Milk - 2 Tbsp
Tumblr media
Procedure to make the Monkey Bread -
To Make the Dough -  In the bowl of the stand mixer, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar and salt. If kneading by hand, use a large bowl to make the dough. Whisk the mixture and then make a hole in the middle. In a measuring cup, measure the milk and water. Make sure that the temperature of the milk and water is warm to proof the dough. (about 110 F). Melt the butter and add it to the wet ingredients. Now add this mixture to the well made in the flour and run the mixer with the dough hook attached on low. Once the dough starts to form, turn the mixer on to medium speed and knead the dough for about 8 to 10 minutes.  If kneading by hand, mix the mixture using a wooden spoon and then use your hands to knead until the dough is soft and elastic (about 10 to 15 minutes). If the dough appears too wet, sprinkle some flour and continue to knead. Shape the dough into a ball and then place in a greased bowl to proof. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and then a kitchen cloth and leave it in a warm place for about 60 to 80 minutes or until it doubles in volume.
Tumblr media
To shape the bread -  When the dough is proofing, melt the butter in a bowl and keep it aside. In another bowl, combine the brown sugar and the cinnamon and keep it ready.
Tumblr media
Grease a bundt pan liberally with softened butter. Once the dough has doubled, punch it down and gently pat it into a 8 by 8 square. Using a dough scraper or a knife, cut the dough horizontally and vertically, 8 times. This will give us 64 pieces of dough. Roll each piece of dough into a rough ball and dip it into melted butter and then coat it with the cinnamon sugar and then place it in the greased pan. I dropped about 5 pieces of dough into the butter and then transferred it into the sugar mixture and then arranged it in the pan. Make sure that the dough is close to each and touching each other. Finish all the pieces of dough and if there is any more cinnamon sugar left, sprinkle it on top of the dough. Cover with plastic wrap and then a kitchen towel and let it rise again until the dough is puffy and has risen about 1 inch from the top of the pan (about an hour).
Tumblr media
Baking the Bread -  When the dough is rising for the second time, towards the end, preheat the oven to 350 F. Once the dough has risen, place it in the preheated oven and let it bake for about 25 - 35 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and the sugar is bubbling. Mine took about 30 minutes to bake.
Tumblr media
When the bread is baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the confectionery sugar and milk. Once the bread has come out of the oven, let it cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Slowly invert it on to the serving platter and let it cool for 10 more minutes. Drizzle the glaze evenly over the cooled bread and enjoy! The bread stores well outside for couple of days and then it can be refrigerated. The left over bread can be slightly warmed in the microwave and it softens up instantly and tastes great.

Good morning and I wish you a wonderful Tuesday! ☀️
I personally dislike Tuesdays, but I hope that this day has some positive vibes for you, my dear!
Oh no, exam phase!! Honey, I completely understand, no need for you to apologize. I wish you lots of luck for your exams! 🍀I know you're going to be amazing and kill every single one. 🌼YOU GOT THIS!!!
I don't think that's a coincidence, to be completely honest.... I mean we could always recreate that as well justsayin
A tea party! I love herbal teas as well, so that's perfect then I guess. As for baked goods, I absolutely love cinnamon buns hehe, but cookies are always nice too. I can make cookies if you want 🍪OH but I love croissants as well, those are better for breakfast though. How about you?
Please take your time in answering this, but you also know that I don't expect any answer either. I hope this week treats you kindly and that you remember to take care of yourself!!
love
lover anon ☀️
Good morning and a delightful Wednesday to you!
Sadly I’m not a Tuesday fan either, especially cause my classes on this day suck ass :/ now it’s over and I’m finally in my sweet warm bed though.
Thank you so much, for some reason I am really really nervous about this batch of exams, like even more than usual. I dunno my head is being mean to me lately :/
Okay then my place at midnight come over hun
Cinnamon buns are so wonderful!!! I also love a good old Franzbrötchen lmao. Croissants are nice but for tea I’d prefer something else. However, croissants with butter or Marmelade for breakfast is Top. Tier. Pure holiday vibes!!!
Darling Sunshine, don’t worry about me, eventually I will always answer and I’m glad to know you are aware of time it might take. Don’t feel pressured into talking to me either, okay? I know how busy life can be and I don’t want you stressed out more than necessary!!

Ganz ehrlich: Nicht mein Fall.
Lidl Bouchard Snickerdoodle mit Zimtgeschmack Cookie Bites 125 Gramm
Halloren Kugeln Winter-Edition Apfel-Zimt 2019
Moser Roth Noix+Chocolat Chili-Zimt-Mandel Fairtrade
Schade, Trend verpasst!
Klassiker von Schulte: Zimtsterne zur WEihnachtszeit.
Oreo Cinnamon Bun, also Zimtschnecke.
beond Organic fruit and nut bar apple Cinnamon 35 Gramm
Rebelicious Cerealien Schokodinger+Zimtgedöns+Bunte Kringel 30-40% weniger Zucker Bio Vollkorn-Anteil
Post Flintstones Cinnamon Pebbles Cereals
Frau Ultrafrisch Frühstücks-Bowl Kakao Zimt Haselnuss
Dr Oetker Typ Zimtschnecken Kuchen Backmischung
Schwartau Samt Stockholm Aprikose a la Zimtschnecke
Naturata Getreidekaffee Zimt+Kardamom Instant
Coka Cola Coke Light Zimt Cinnamon Weihnachts-Edition 2019
