Alright, just hear me out real quick. MechaJazz AU + EmpurataProwl AU. Now, hold onto your socks cuz I'm not done.

What if, after Jazz returns to Earth, Prowl ends up getting captured. The folks in charge of the Mecha program realize that Prowl is something different, something insanely high tech and useful, so they start to tear him apart and modify him. Prowl never gets the chance to scan Jazz's mecha because the scientists and engineers have already made him into one! His helm is removed and replaced with one that has the video relays needed to send visual feeds to the pilot. The beautifully articulate face that Jazz so admired is gone. His servos are removed, turned into weapons to better fight the quintessons and their pet monsters. The engineers tear into Prowls chassis, rerouting cables and energon lines around Prowls spark so that a pilots seat could be installed. That's where the engineers run into a problem. Prowls spark emits radiation, it's not safe for a human to be in close proximity to this glowing ball of energy for long periods of time. So what do they do? They put it in a box. They wall off Prowls spark in thick metal lined with a material designed to prevent radiation from penetrating it. Prowls EM field goes silent. Finally, when the scientists go to integrate the neural connections between Mecha and pilot, it doesn't play nice with the tac net. Prowl crashes, and keeps crashing, until the scientists are able to create a work around. By the time they've completed the work around Prowl isn't Prowl anymore. Something inside of him is broken. He doesn't remember, doesn't understand why he's in pain. He doesn't know where he is, he doesn't know what's happening around him, to him. He flickers in and out of consciousness. He can't move and he's in terrible endless pain.

Imagine Jazz's reaction to how brutally his own people mutilated Prowl. Jazz gathers up everyone he knows he can trust, and breaks into the lab Prowls being held in. Hot Rod and Blurr are causing a distraction, while Vortex and Aid kick down the door to the Lab to let Jazz in. Jazz is mortified at what he sees, staring at what's left of Prowl on the slab in front of him. Jazz bundles up his Prowler in his Mechas arms and bolts for it. The gang makes their way to Ratchets little hidey hole in hopes that he might be able to help Prowl, but there's only so much he can do. Imagine little human Jazz looking up at his Prowl and realizing that he doesn't recognize him. His Prowler doesn't recognize him! Jazz will never be able to forgive himself for bringing Prowl to Earth. He'll never get to sleep in the palm of Prowls servos ever again. He'll never be able to make Prowls stoic face break out in that cute little grin that he loves ever again.

The angst is REAL!!!

1969 Holden Hurricane Concept

Holden has gone back to the future, restoring its very first concept car - the 1969 Holden Hurricane Concept.

The futuristic research vehicle described as an experiment "to study design trend, propulsion systems and other long range developments" has been restored to its former glory as a labour of love by a dedicated group of Holden designers and engineers.

Code named RD 001; the Holden Hurricane is a mid-engined, rear-wheel drive, two-seater sports car which incorporates a remarkable array of innovative features and technology, much of it way ahead of its time.

Features such as electronic digital instrument displays, station-seeking radio, automatic temperature control air conditioning, rear vision camera and an automated route finder were all showcased in this ground-breaking vehicle 42 years ago. Many of these technologies have only recently made their way into mass production, demonstrating Holden's remarkable foresight into both design and engineering technology.

The Holden Hurricane stole headlines and dropped jaws nationwide when it debuted at the 1969 Melbourne Motor Show.

Michael Simcoe, Executive Director GMIO Design, said it was fantastic to see such a significant vehicle restored.

"At Holden we have always prided ourselves on our ability to look into the future through our concept cars," Mr Simcoe said.

"It's amazing to think that the features we take for granted today were born out of creative minds over 40 years ago."

As its code name suggests, the RD 001 was the first product of the GMH Research and Development organisation, staffed by a small squad of engineers working in conjunction with the Advance Styling Group at the Fishermans Bend Technical Centre in the 1960s.

The team that designed and built the original Holden Hurricane employed some advanced technologies and techniques when it came to the powertrain. Powered by an experimental 4.2-litre (253 cubic inch) V8, this engine was a precursor to the Holden V8 engine program which entered production in late 1969.

The Holden Hurricane's V8 engine featured many advanced design components such as the four-barrel carburettor - a feature which wouldn't be seen on a production 253ci Holden V8 until the late 1970s. The end result was approximately 262hp (193kW), a towering power output in 1969 and one that ensured the Holden Hurricane had the go to match its show.

But perhaps the two most innovative features were the "Pathfinder" route guidance system and the rear-view camera.

The "Pathfinder", essentially a pre-GPS navigation system, relied on a system of magnets embedded at intersections along the road network to guide the driver along the desired route. A dash-mounted panel informed the driver of which turn to take by illuminating different arrows, as well as sounding a warning buzzer.

The rear-view camera was also a ground-breaking innovation.

Engineers using a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system with a camera mounted in the rear bumper feeding vision to a small black-and-white TV mounted in the centre console.

Former Holden Chief Studio Engineer Rick Martin led the modern-day Hurricane team in researching the vehicle's components, systems and history in order to restore it.

"There are some genuinely remarkable ideas and technology in the Hurricane," said Mr Martin.

"From the automatic air-conditioning and magnet-based guidance system, to the inertia-reel seat belts and metallic paint, this was a car that was genuinely ahead of its time.

"The hand-picked team of engineers and designers who built the original Holden Hurricane worked in strict secrecy and began Holden's now proud tradition of ground-breaking concept cars."

RD 001 stands just 990mm high and has no doors in the conventional sense. A hydraulically-powered canopy opens upwards and forward over the front wheels, combined with twin "astronaut type" power-elevating seats which rise up and pivot forward, along with the steering column for ease of access. Occupants are then lowered to a semi-reclining position before the roof closes over them.

The wind tunnel-tested fibreglass body consists of three segments; the canopy, the engine hood and body shell and was finished in an experimental aluminium flake-based metallic orange paint.

Safety innovations included a foam-lined fuel tank, integrated roll-over bar, digital instrument readouts, ignition safety locks, interior padding and a fire warning system.

The project to restore RD 001 began in 2006 and has been a genuine labour of love for some very dedicated Holden employees. The entire restoration process has been driven primarily by volunteer labour from Holden designers and engineers in their spare time.

But the Hurricane first entered Holden Design in less than immaculate condition. RD 001 had a residency in a trade school where apprentices practised their welding on the priceless concept.

After being returned to Holden in 2006, the Hurricane restoration project has taken many thousands of painstaking man hours to lovingly restore RD 001 to concourse condition.

Holden's Manager for Creative Hard Modelling, Paul Clarke, has been largely responsible for managing the restoration of RD 001. He ensured as many of the original parts as possible have been used or remade using modern techniques to 1969 specification, in order to preserve the authenticity of this hugely important Holden.

"The entire team has done a fantastic job in bringing this beautiful concept back to life," Mr Clarke said.

"The talent we have within the Holden organisation is simply outstanding. Every time we take on a project I'm constantly amazed by the passion and talent in this company, making it a genuine pleasure to work on these projects.

"The Hurricane plays a crucial role in Holden's story and the company has such a great sense of history and heritage that it was very important to bring RD 001 back to life. It's been a challenging but incredibly rewarding process."

Since the debut of the Holden Hurricane Concept in 1969, Holden has continued to build a global reputation for envisioning and executing world-class concept vehicles. Holden is recognised globally within General Motors as a centre of excellence for concept vehicle and show car development and is one of only three GM design studios that is capable to design and build concept cars.

Michael Simcoe added that the Hurricane holds a particularly special place in Holden's history as it kick-started Holden's long love affair with concepts that has since seen the likes of the iconic GTR-X, Torana TT36, Coupe 60, the GMC Denali XT (which was requested specifically by GM for the North American market) and the award-winning Efijy.

EXE May Part 3: Infectious Cases and other prompts

So, I decided to get these out much earlier than normal after ElectricSakura16 wound up in major controversy, but here are all of the remaining prompts for EXE May, the majority of which focus on Toxinfect, my own Sonic.exe entity!

Day 16: Main Entity

You might remember him as "SoniKiller" from Sonic.EXE All-Stars 2/SonicAllStars2.exe, so you can consider this his new official self. To sum him up, he was created out of the universe's negativity (e.g., mere electrons), and as such, can feed on any and all negativity in our world and all others to grow stronger.

He once made an attempt at conquering one universe, though was driven out, so he's now starting from scratch and picking a much easier target; humanity as a whole. By engineering his own domain, using countless outlets and mediums to make it known, and bringing in his own creations whilst mimicking other entities, he has big plans to bring "peace and salvation" (actually mass extinction, eternal torment and the purging of almost all humankind) upon our world.

And when the end of time comes? He'll gladly restart the universe just so he can do it all over again!

Day 17: Faker

Toxinfect does one heck of a job masquerading as Sonic to lure future victims in, though often times, he doesn't really need said form. There are several oddities with it, like the gray in the ears, a red tint on both pupils, and white on the front of the shoes. Of course, it doesn't matter if you don't see him as Sonic. He'll drag you into his world regardless, and your fate is sealed the moment you make contact with any medium of his.

Day 18: Beast Form

Unfortunately, I can't really design a "true" form for him, due to him being pure negativity given life, and his true form would more than likely be too much for any mortal to bear witness to. The closest you get to seeing him manifest in real-life is either his File-0.X mimicry or his human form I'll touch on later, so I made a compromise with the second criteria for this prompt; bringing up Toxinfect's "Negative Failure" form!

Think Mario's Madness's Ultra M, but in the form of a hedgehog. This form is a major mish-mash of different components from other Sonic games, especially those that have gotten the most criticism from people over the years. This form is Toxinfect's second most powerful, and is almost impossible to destroy, but if he shifts into his even more powerful Perfected form, you might as well say your prayers, because victory against him at that point is all but impossible.

Day 19: Toxinfect's Victims

Specifically, these are some of the more notable victims that Toxinfect has claimed in the past, though not all are entirely helpless, nor are all outright innocent, either. From left-to-right:

Akzekuplen: Toxinfect's equivalent of Lord Mortis, a counterpart of Exetior (made by JaizKoys) who lost his winning streak to the Infect and now bides his time helping others, while reflecting on the blood on his hands.

Chinayu: The "Sonic" seen in Toxinfect's version of SONIC 0, who was thrown through countless deaths until they found a way out and escaped his clutches.

Tom Wilson: The titular protagonist of the original creepypasta. His real-world body was destroyed after he actively defied Toxinfect, so he now spends his existence helping others get back home.

Sadie Harolds: Toxinfect's counterpart of Sarah Henderson, who met her end via accidental murder and tormented her former friends until an alteration to a deal changed her orientation drastically.

Luke Arscott: Toxinfect's counterpart of Luther Artwright, still struggling with the idea of heroics after he refused to be complicit in Sadie's death, though still does his best anyway.

Raymond Parkinson: A victim who has cracked under repeated deaths and has lost all sanity, willingly massacring others in a hopeless bid to return home.

Layla: The alternate version of SonicPC's Alan, who overcame the trials and tribulations set out for her by Toxinfect and was one of the few lucky enough to return home in one piece.

Anaiya: Toxinfect's counterpart of Alice D'Imperatore, a former ally of the Cross of Purity (Toxinfect's version of the Cult of X) until Cadencia (the counterpart of Caffrin the Gamer Girl) came along and claimed her for chickening out. In spite of the terror she's endured, her determination and willingness to stop Toxinfect has kept her going time and time again.

Day 20: Laughing

This 20th one is for him laughing. Not much to say about it, really.

Day 21: The Victim's Level

This concept is within a level that's a mix of Egg Gauntlet Zone and Sandopolis Act 2, where the Tails victim for the run (Adam) is carefully treading through, all while Toxinfect lurks in the shadows to keep him on edge and mock him for his efforts to escape.

Day 22: You're Too Slow

Once Adam stepped into the final arena of the zone, it started filling up with oil. Desperate to survive, he started flying upwards, only for Toxinfect (mimicking a mix of JC X and 2011 X here) to show up on the ceiling and rip off his tails, sending him plummeting into the oil below. And if that wasn't enough, he opted to set the oil on fire to burn him alive! What a grisly way to go out, huh?

Day 23: D-Sides

I'd like to introduce you to Toxinfect's official D-Sides counterpart, known as "Toxinfected"!

Compared to the original Toxinfect, Toxinfected was once human, like you and me, in the form of Theo Igorian, though was murdered by three entitled students and found his soul tethered to his incomplete game project. Using it, he decided he'd be bringing justice against all toxicity, and those entitled students were right up at the top of the list. He only targets cruel/irredeemable people, though - kinder people see him as a pseudo-therapist if they've been through particularly rough patches.

Day 24: Mario Mix

You might notice that the sprite pick used for him here is different to that from his official sprite sheet. Well, I felt both that I went for fitted better for this scenario in question.

No matter what type of dimension Toxinfect appears in, he remains a massive terror to all; if Mario was the one who caught the Infect's eye rather than Sonic, this is essentially what you'd get! Then again, considering his domain is very vast, it's likely areas like this already exist.

Day 25: Any Other Mix

For this occasion, I decided to go for Undertale as my personal pick!Toxinfect's vessel is themed around the unused assets for Chara, making him appear more off compared to everyone else, and consistently stalking you controlling Frisk throughout the domain formed after the Underground. But that's not to say survivors don't exist here as well, even from the most unlikely of vessels like Monster Kid!

Day 26: Super Form

This one's themed around his "Gold" appearance via the PCX mimicry, albeit with normal skin and without the inhibitor rings present. This is the closest you'll get to seeing such a form, as it's nothing compared to his Negative Failure and Perfected forms.

Day 27: Werehog

The sprite used is that from the Java version of Sonic Unleashed, and I decided to see what I could do with only the colours presented. I'd say it came out quite well, even if such a form is currently non-canon to Toxinfect.

Day 28: Humanised

Toxinfect does something unique in that he's not solely bound to one particular human form when blending in amongst us - he can adopt any skin tone, any hair colour, and any match of clothing. His hairstyle could even be different to throw off those who think they've caught on. Extra images are present to show what some of these are like, including a look he adopts when around the Cross of Purity.

Day 29: FNF Concept

This one focuses around an FNF concept for Toxinfect, known as "Sonic's True Enlightenment", of which he took inspiration from Mario's Madness and its ending where Boyfriend and Girlfriend bit the dust.

The mod itself is mostly a normal one in the vein of MM, but the "Soulless" difficulty must be avoided at all costs if you do not wish to be imprisoned with him and forced to sing your lungs out for an eternity. Only two have managed to slip past the cracks, while many others still remain stuck in the endless cycles that bind them to a lack of sunshine. Perhaps all of us are too slow to escape the terror of chaos...

Day 30: Personal Favourite Sonicpastas

This one is for my personal favourite Sonic the Hedgehog creepypastas/horrorbrews. From left-to-right, these are:

Shadow.exe by SoulCaptor: A seemingly normal EXE game which hides dark secrets, and the path of a serial killer obsessed with slaughtering the only survivor of a separated family.

The Sonic Bootleg Tape of 1995 by RodrigoJogos: A direct-to-video remake of AoSTH Episode 66, depicting a bootleg episode by Cartoons R Fun that has much more graphic material than any AoSTH episode would ever contain.

Tails Doll: Ever unsettling to look at, and some feared that Sonic R was its gateway through to us. No surprise that many a creepypasta spawned for the voodoo doll.

Friendship: A Sonic 2 Creepypasta by NotSoDevy: An alternate ending to Sonic 2 GG/SMS where Sonic runs through West Side Island without Tails, and ultimately pays the price for discovering what became of his best friend...

A Frozen Trap: One player messed around too much with Sonic Advance and caused a slow but painful and cold death for the Amy Rose within, and when faced with something like this, she proved powerless to do anything about it.

El Pendrive Azul/Blue Pendrive by Sinuois: A Spanish creepypasta predating Sonic.exe, with a malicious program on a blue pendrive capable of being harmful to anyone who suffers from epilepsy.

Sonic 3 Hacked Cartridge: Two friends discover a hacked pair of Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles cartridges, depicting strange things, including the presence of a Sally Acorn. The writer discovering it later got the attention of the cartridges' original owner, who always watches... in the walls... under the floors...

Day 31: GAME OVER

And that brings us to this point! All games must come to an end at some point, and this one is no exception. For now, though, it's GAME OVER.

The ORION team stumbled across a previously undiscovered planet during a routine atmospheric probe. Their spacecraft, equipped with advanced long-range scanners, detected unusual energy signatures emanating from an uncharted region of space. Initially, the readings were faint and erratic but as they drew closer, the signals grew stronger and more distinct, piquing their curiosity. That next morning, before the debriefing, each team member meticulously prepared for the mission. Jorlan started by running diagnostics on all their devices. While waiting, he delved into the latest data collected from their recent missions and analyzed the raw data streams in order to compile the data into a series of comprehensive reports, complete with visualizations to make the information more accessible for the team. Zerath began his day long before anyone else with a demanding training session. Afterward, he reviewed the latest intelligence reports with Zyri. He considered various scenarios they might encounter, from ambushes to environmental hazards, and outlined responses for each. Meanwhile, Zyri tried to decipher the energy signatures to no avail. Velana spent the morning in the laboratory where she conducted final analyses on biological samples collected from their latest expedition. Each observation was carefully documented, contributing to the growing body of knowledge about the new life forms they encountered. Despite extensive records, there was nothing that could prepare them for what was to come. As each team member entered the briefing room, they were greeted by a large, central table surrounded by ergonomic chairs, each equipped with individual data screens. The room’s walls were adorned with interactive displays showing real-time data feeds, star charts, and mission objectives. The central holographic projector hummed to life, displaying a rotating 3D model of the planet they were orbiting. The planet's surface appeared rugged, a vast expanse of reddish-brown terrain marked by deep canyons. Dust storms swept across the surface, creating an 3D render of swirling particles. Velana stood at the center of the room, her eyes scanning the holographic display that projected a detailed topographical map. "Preliminary scans indicate a complex network of underground caverns," she began, "These caverns may harbor unique alien life forms adapted to the harsh, subterranean environment." Zyri tapped her datapad and outlined a few zones of interest. "There are also unusual energy signatures emanating from deep within the caverns. If we can decipher their source, it may open new avenues." Zerath stepped forward, his expression serious. "While the scientific prospects are promising, we must proceed with extreme caution. The unstable terrain and frequent dust storms pose significant risks. We don't know what kind of creatures might be lurking in those dark caverns and any misstep could be deadly. Stay alert and stick to the safety protocols." Jorlan stepped up and tried to surpress a smile as he tapped his handheld device to project schematics on the center console. "Before we go, I’ve got a new piece of equipment that I’ve been dying to field-test: a helmet. It isn’t just about protection; it’s equipped with an integrated augmented reality display, advanced environmental sensors, and a real-time communication system.” He carefully pulled out a few high-tech masks, placing them on the table with a sense of pride. The masks were impressive, designed with a sleek, modern aesthetic that spoke of advanced engineering. The main body of each mask was made of a lightweight, durable material with a matte black finish, giving them a streamlined, almost futuristic look. Across the front, a curved transparent panel covered the mouth area, allowing for clear visibility of the wearer's facial expressions while still providing protection. As the debriefing came to an end, the ORION team geared up and prepared to descend to the planet's surface.

Wings flexibility tests

Borrowed something from FIA, so we can peek into the wings flexibility tests during the time. Yes, it´s the new rule taking place from this weekend, which can mean big bad for McLarens... or also not. This race will show us if the rule is affecting the speed or if it was made only to feed the volves and let the goat go in one piece.

Racing Bulls’ new front wing has been created to not only meet new regulations around stiffness but also with a more loaded centre section relative to the outboard, modifying the downstream flow conditions. The Faenza squad also new front wing endplates and redesigned not to work with the front wing.

Williams have not only built a wing to meet the new stiffness requirement, they have also revised the geometry of the rearward flap and the front wing endplates of the FW47. The changes alter the flow pattern off the front wing and change the performance of both the front brake duct furniture and the forward floor. Williams also have a revised cooling package here.

Kick Sauber debut a new floor in Barcelona with changes to the fences, floor edges and the diffuser. There’s new engine cover as well, with a new sidepod profile to work with the floor. A new front wing is directed more towards improved performance, with new end plates designed “to improve outboard front wing performance” and “better downstream flow quality”.

Alpine have brought a new floor to Barcelona with new fences designed to “improve the quality of the underfloor structures and improve flow delivery to the entire floor” and to “generate local load”. The floor body has been redesigned to work with the new fences.

Haas debut a new front wing construction in Barcelona to meet the new requirements of Articles 3.15.4 and 3.15.5 of the 2025 F1 Technical Regulations.

Mercedes focus on floor changes in Barcelona. The W16 gains a new fence profile for improved load through better onset flow, while a revised floor edge features increased chord and new vanes. There’s also a circuit specific rear wing featuring increased camber to improve local downforce and drag.

Aston Martin have a revised front wing in Barcelona, but along with a redesign to meet the new regulations, the tip detail between the front wing elements and the endplate has been redesigned to increase load in that area.

Ferrari have a new front wing in Spain, designed to meet the requirements of the updated regulations around front wings effective from this race. The Scuderia also have a circuit-specific rear wing – a small redesign of the higher downforce 2024 top wing used in Imola.

Red Bull Racing have revised “the front wing geometry to gain stiffness at minimal weight cost” and developed it to “pursue the load characteristics sought”.

McLaren... obviously did what they could and we will see the result on the track. And damn, I am looking forward to it, because it may cause a flop in the championship - or not.

“Morning Tony.” Someone greets from close to the front row. Gwen, who’s waiting for her Macbook to complete its primeval, laborious booting up procedure, feels her shoulders sag even further down. God, not this shit again.

“Did your coffee machine explode again?”

“Implode, and no.” The lecturer – Tony – cracks a brief smile. The band t-shirt he’s got on is mostly just wrinkles, his hair flattened straight down the sides like it hasn’t been washed in a couple days. Really gives Gwen such an inspiring picture to look up to for her own prospective career in academia. “And just for that not-so-subtle commentary on my opening salvo today, I’m gonna teach this entire lecture using a metaphor.”

Gwen Stacy isn't having the greatest day, and that's before her System Designs Engineering professor starts explaining the material through the lens of his strained-sounding relationship. With his boyfriend in the audience.

arei’s thoughts: I really loved this. It’s outsider POV, and Steve is the ‘bad’ boyfriend in this, but they’re both trying--sometimes failing--to make things work. The way they lean into each other and learn from their mistakes is lovely.

arei’s thoughts: I love the a/b/o dynamics in this. The way that Steve kind of fumbled them on account of his coming from a different time, and the way Tony was so anxious to care for EVERYONE around him. The scene where he tries to feed Steve a sandwich is quite possibly the cutest thing I’ve read in months.

After Tony risks his own life to save Steve from the deadly Bloodwash gas, he's in bad shape, and he needs immediate treatment. Thanks to the treatment, he doesn't quite remember what's going on, but he does remember that people have been trying to kill him and that he can't trust the government. Since the Secretary of Defense did try to murder both of them today, Steve can't exactly tell Tony he's wrong about either of those things -- but, unfortunately, Tony doesn't remember who Steve is. And, even more unfortunately, Steve taught Tony to fight.

arei’s thoughts: I love this fic. It’s a very simple plot and premise pulled from the comics but it’s just so well done, and I love seeing Tony competent and dangerous even without the suit. Sine’s characterization in this--on both Steve and Tony’s parts--is just so lovely and well done.

The first time Tony walks into the Trisk, he’s following Tiberius, his eyes downcast, a perfect five steps behind his Alpha. He’s wearing a suit, cut in traditional omega style, because he’s an asset, a part of the display of wealth and power as much as the car they arrived in and the expensive watch Ty is wearing, the deliberate slight of being late and the bottle of wine that hangs from three fingers, careless, like it’s not worth several thousand dollars.

It’s the same display Ty has put on a dozen and more times since they Bonded. The only thing that changes is the location, the Alpha that Ty is trying to impress.

Where Tony ends up. His role in the evening’s proceedings. Those are already determined. This is a business deal and he is the pretty baited trap.

arei’s thoughts: well, I wrote this one but. I’m adding it to the list because I kinda love it. It’s very soft, and a little dark, but the devotion that grows between Steve and Tony is…lovely.
