hi how do you do those nice orangey glow outlines on ur characters? they look lovely!!
ALR BUCKLE UP AND LISTEN HERE /silly
so on most drawing programs (photoshop, csp, ibis paint etc.) they have built in mechanics to create some sort of outer stroke to a drawing (often just called "stroke (outline)" or something along the sorts but because PROCREATE is STUPID it doesn't have that option so you gotta do it the long and complicated way WHICH IS WHAT ILL TEACH Y'ALL TODAY!!!!
so you wanna start off with your drawing (today we have wolf pearl to help us with this magnificent tutorial) all flattened down into a single layer (i usually duplicate the group the original character drawing is in and flatten the duplicate so i still have the original layers as backup
you'll then want to make another duplicate of the flattened character, alpha lock it and flood it as a solid colour of your choice (it's important to then unlock the layer once it's been flooded or this won't work)

with the flatcolour layer selected, you'll wanna click this button here,
and select these settings! before you select the feather option (but with the colour fill option selected) you'll wanna tap on the character to select that layer
apply your feather however thick you want! i usually go for somewhere between 2-5% to make sure the line isn't toooo thick, it depends on the piece. after you've feathered it you'll wanna close the menu and then open it back up again. this locks in the feather change and after opening the menu again it allows you to make changes with the feather as part of the original layer
now simply tap on the character with the colour fill still selected and it should turn the feather solid :D
this step also applies to if you use any other program that actually gives you the stroke outline option. after that, go to your layers, change the blending mode to "add" and set your opacity down to whatever fits (i usually go for around 30-40%)
#ALSO TY FOR THE COMPLIMENT ANON#ofc if you're not using procreate this is a much simpler process but if you are then. here you go !#fruuty askbox#fruututorial#yeah there we go there's the tutorial tag#fruutorial?#man idk
