Mizuki sat in her study, head in a book. She had a lot to do. Potions don't make themselves after all.

Something in her mind kept bothering her. Was I supposed to do something else today?

She thought and thought. "Oh well. It'll come to me later." Mizuki hummed. "Back to work then."

"Myrtle could you get me the purple bottle on the bottom shelf please?"

A little screech replied, followed by the clattering of glass.

It was some hours later when she remembered "Oh...it's my nameday.." she shrugged "back to potions."

Today..I fell down a cenote.. A big sink hole. I was too busy admiring the forest and making notes and I walked right into it... I had only just laughed at Alisaie falling into one..

Myrtle was quick to run for help. Though I think Myrtle gave Wuk Lamat a new fear in mandragora, little thing ran up to her screeching apparently she jumped into a bush: or so Erenville told me.

I am currently resting a rather swollen ankle, I rolled it on my way down. So I am taking this opportunity to write you another letter.

All the drama and adventuring aside, I am having a wonderful time. I shall need a new note book at this rate. I have documented so many different types of foliage and flora. I have been introduced to the market. Which has given me lots of chances to forage and craft new potions!

Fear not, your new recipe book is coming along well! I have sampled lots of local dishes..for research....

Aymeric read the letter again, he wishes she'd be more careful. He chuckled at the thought of Mizuki stopping ever few yalms to make notes and collect samples. This letter contained a little pressed flower, it was so bright and colourful, he would ask Mizuki about it on her return. He was eager to read the next letter but it had already gotten so late.

A little follow up to this Letter One

Just standing in the middle of the lake made her feel like she was some place else. It felt so magical..

Mizuki sighed wistfully as she sat down on a log that was surrounded by crystals. It was so beautiful and aetheric.

This whole area was fascinating. That she had more time to study everything, she had so many questions to ask the Mamool Ja.

Myrtle splashed around in the shallow parts, screeching contently. "You don't say?" Mizuki hummed "Given the nature of this place, who knows mayhap you shall grow even bigger than this grand tree?"

Myrtle screeched again.

"But then you wouldn't fit in the garden?" Mizuki chuckled "That would be horrible wouldn't it? Well if that happens, I shall get a bigger garden."

Myrtle rolled onto her lap happily.

This area gives me such FFX Macalania Woods vibes....and I would like to envision a Mizuki/Aymeric moment....like that cutscene

"Mizuki what do you think?" Alphinaud asked, when no answer came, he turned to where Mizuki had been having a drink but her seat was empty.

"Last I saw, she was inspecting some flowers." Erenville replied.

And she had been taking notes of the flowers in the small hamlet but had ventured out to see what laid around.

And she had done just that. "What vibrant flowers, I wonder what properties they have.."

"Mizuki!" Krile called "There you are."

"Sorry, I was making notes.." Mizuki rejoined the group.

And yet sometime later in Mamook.

"It seems we have lost Mizuki: again." Krile said, looking around for their companion.

"Does she do this often?" Erenville asked,

Krile sighed "Not to my knowledge- though this is the first time I've been able to travel with Mizuki since our trip into Eureka..."

"How wonderous!" Mizuki gasped, already reaching for her notebook. "To think all these flowers grew without sunlight!"

Myrtle screeched in response.

"Do you like this place?"

Myrtle screeched again.

"Truly? Perhaps you will get taller." she chuckled.

Mizuki and Myrtle wandered away from the group. "What amazing colouring..." she mumbled, "the aether here feels different perhaps that is how these flowers thrive.."

"I wonder if I should be able to cultivate them in my garden.." she hummed, finding a few seeds to add to another little bag and pairing them with leaves and flowers.

"This blue...it reminds me of Aymeric...he would love this place.."

"Mizuki!"

She poked her head from around the flora "Sorry...I was distracted.."

"Honestly.. anyone would assume you were a botanist." Alisaie joked.

Mizuki paused "Well I am.. cultivating your own flowers and herbs is helpful in alchemy." she smiled.

"When did you learn that-" Alphinaud asked

"At the Studium..." she replied slowly "I thought that was explained when we were in Sharlayan.." she shrugged "well I can get more samples later.."

"Perhaps you should have been a gleaner." Erenville added, "Shall I assume we might lose you thrice more before we reach our destination?"

Mizuki laughed "I will do my best to keep on track.." she said whilst making a few more notes in her book.
