You can fine-tune the location and duration of a clip in your project by moving the clip’s startpoint or endpoint, or an entire frame-range selection, in small increments at once. Choose one of the following methods, depending on how you like to work.
Using the fine-tuning controls:
Using this method extends or shortens a clip in one-frame increments.
Choose iMovie > Preferences, and then click Browser at the top of the preferences pane.
The iMovie menu appears in a light gray bar across the top of your computer screen.
Select “Show Fine Tuning controls.”
In the Project browser, move the pointer over a clip, and then click one of the blue fine-tuning (double-headed arrow) buttons that appear at either end of the clip.
An orange selection handle appears.
Drag the selection handle to increase or decrease the clip’s duration one frame at a time.
As you drag, an indicator (+1, +2, -1, and so on) appears to show you how many frames have been added or removed.
You can extend or shorten a maximum of one second at a time, which means up to 30 frames for 30 fps projects and up to 24 frames for 24 fps projects. To shorten or lengthen a clip by more than one second, repeat steps 3 and 4.
Using the Clip Trimmer:
Using this method extends or shortens a clip in intervals of one-tenth of a second.
In the Project browser, move the pointer over a video clip, and then choose Clip Trimmer from the Action pop-up menu (looks like a gear) that appears in the lower-left corner of the clip.
The Clip Trimmer appears, with the selected clip outlined in yellow. The dimmed frames are those from the original video clip that aren’t currently used in your project.
In the Clip Trimmer, do either of the following:
Drag the handles at either end of the yellow clip selection to set a new startpoint and endpoint.
Move the handles one frame at a time by placing the pointer near the handle that you want to adjust, and then holding down the Option key as you press the Left Arrow or Right Arrow key.
Move the entire yellow selection box to the left or right by pressing the Left Arrow or Right Arrow key, or by clicking within the box and dragging. Using this technique, you can change which video frames are selected without changing the duration of the selection.
Click Done.
Using fine-tuning on the fly:
In the Project browser, do any of the following to extend or shorten a clip. To extend a clip, there must be unused portions of the clip available:
Move the pointer near the end of the clip you want to adjust, and then hold down the Command and Option keys. When an orange selection handle appears, drag it.
Move the pointer near the end of the clip you want to adjust, and then hold down the Option key as you press the Right Arrow or Left Arrow key.
To move a selected frame range, press the Right Arrow or Left Arrow key to slide the frame range to the right or left.

The Ingram MAC-11 (Military Armament Corporation Model 11) is a subcompact machine pistol/submachine gun developed by American gun designer Gordon Ingram at the Military Armament Corporation (MAC) during the 1970s in Powder Springs, Georgia.(5)(6) The weapon is a sub-compact version of the Model 10 (MAC-10), and is chambered to fire the smaller .380 ACP round.(6)
This weapon is sometimes confused with the Sylvia & Wayne Daniels M-11/9, its successor the Leinad PM-11, or the Vulcan M-11-9, both of which are later variants of the MAC chambered for 9 mm Luger Parabellum cartridge.(7)(8) Cobray also made a .380 ACP variant called the M12.(9)
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) considers MAC-11 variants such as the Leinad PM-11 to be part of the 'MAC-10 class pistol.'(10)
Design(edit)
Operation(edit)
Like the larger M-10, the M-11 has open sights with the rear pinhole sight welded to the receiver. These sights are for use with the folding stock, as using them without the stock is nearly useless because of the initial jump of the weapon due to its heavy, open-bolt design. The M-11A1 also has two safety features which are also found on the Model 10A1. The charging handle rotates to 90 degrees to lock the bolt in the forward position thus preventing the weapon from being cocked. The second safety is a slider which is pushed forward to lock the trigger, which in turn pins the bolt to the rear (cocked) position. This prevents the weapon from discharging even when dropped, which is not uncommon with an open-bolt design.
Performance(edit)
Semi-automatic, Cobray MAC-11/9 with 32-round magazine and suppressor.
The rate of fire of the M-11A1 is one of the biggest complaints on the firearm. Listed as approximately 1,200 rpm (rounds per minute),(8) the MAC-11 is capable of emptying the entire 32-round magazine in less than two seconds, which many users view as a drawback.(11) Rate of fire will also vary depending on the weight of bullets used. The gun also has a selector switch that allows it to fire only one round at a time in the semi-automatic mode.
Noting the weapon's poor accuracy, in the 1970s International Association of Police Chiefs weapons researcher David Steele described the MAC series as 'fit only for combat in a phone booth.'(12)
The M-11 is the least common version in the MAC family of firearms. At the MAC-11's high cyclic rate, extreme trigger discipline is required to discharge short bursts, which are required for combat effectiveness. Without proper training, the natural tendency of the inexperienced shooter is to hold down the trigger, discharging the entire magazine in little more than two seconds, often with poor accuracy due to recoil.
Sound suppressor(edit)
A specific suppressor was developed for the MAC-11, which used wipes as baffles, instead of the reflex baffles that Mitchell Werbell III created for the MAC-10. Though wipes are less durable than reflex baffles, they had the advantage of proving quieter for the MAC-11. The suppressor is 224 mm in length and is covered with Nomex-A heat-resistant material.(1)

Manufacturers(edit)
MAC-type submachine guns and semi-automatic pistols were first manufactured by the Military Armament Corporation, and later by RPB Inc., Sylvia/Wayne Daniel Inc.,(13)Cobray, Jersey Arms, Leinad, MasterPiece Arms,(8) and Vulcan.

Nuggets force Game 7 and D'Antoni leaves HOU
After the Lakers knocked out the Rockets in 5 video games on Saturday, we had one other elimination sport between the Clippers and Nuggets on Sunday. Extra exactly, it was a “potential” elimination, as a result of after an enormous second-half comeback, Denver managed to pressure Sport 7 in convincing vogue, successful 111-98. It’s going to be a must-watch occasion on Tuesday evening at 9pm ET. There was additionally momentous teaching information within the NBA on Sunday, with Mike D’Antoni leaving the Rockets, so let’s get proper into the Dose.
The Clippers/Nuggets showdown in Sport 6 was a story of two halves. Denver trailed early and was behind by as many as 19 factors early within the third quarter. Then they ramped up the defensive depth, started hitting photographs from throughout on the court docket, benefited from star-level play from Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic, and walked away with one other inconceivable win. This was their third comeback of the 2019-20 playoffs after trailing by 15+ factors. “We discover it humorous that the narrative is like, ‘Oh, the Nuggets are a cute workforce. What a great story,'” coach Michael Malone mentioned earlier than the sport. “We’ve all the time been [called] a workforce that was too younger, not proficient sufficient … I feel our gamers are very comfy being uncomfortable.” They’ve now gained 5 straight elimination video games, so the character of this workforce cannot be faulted.
Gary Harris was big in Denver’s Sport 6 win, taking part in stable protection and chipping in 16 factors on 5-of-11 FGs and 4-of-6 FTs, with 4 assists, 4 steals and two rebounds. The most important quantity for Harris, although, is 42. That is the variety of minutes he logged in Sport 6, essentially the most he’d performed since Could Three of the 2018-19 playoffs in an time beyond regulation loss to the Blazers. That was a quadruple-overtime loss, in truth, which tied an NBA postseason document. The purpose is that Harris lately returned from a hip damage and his minutes had been within the 20s most nights since his return within the postseason. A part of that was foul hassle, and he fouled out of Video games Four and 5 whereas averaging 25.Zero minutes. Then on Sunday, with the season on the road, he prevented foul hassle, hit buckets when it mattered most, and performed nice protection. For Denver to advance they’re going to want this model of Harris, particularly since they’re already at a expertise deficit with out Will Barton (proper knee soreness).
Jamal Murray was landed on by Paul George and there have been some nervous moments as he writhed on the court docket in ache. He limped round a bit however by no means appeared in peril of sitting out, and was at his greatest throughout the Nuggets’ second-half trouncing. We’ll have actually six official damage reviews previous to Tuesday night’s Sport 7, so there must be loads of warning if Murray is in peril of sitting out. He will not. Murray completed 9-of-13 from the sector for 21 factors with 5 rebounds, 5 assists, two steals, one 3-pointer and only one turnover in 41 minutes. We have witnessed a number of “breakout” kind video games within the playoffs from Murray, a participant who was already hitting top-50 fantasy worth in 33.Four minutes per sport throughout the common season. He is a simple third-round goal, particularly since level guards drop off quick and he will not damage your FG% — for perspective, he shot 46.5% from the sector this season, whereas Kemba Walker shot 42.9%. Spencer Dinwiddie shot 41.5% on 16 makes an attempt per sport.
I am veering off the subject of guards, but it surely’s value remembering that Blake Griffin shot 35.2% from the sector in 18 video games this 12 months. There is no context to that aside from the truth that Detroit went 20-46. He is solely 31 years outdated, but accidents are piling up and until he lands in a super state of affairs it is exhausting to see him resuscitating his fantasy enchantment. That might require Detroit buying elite gamers to maximise his strengths, significantly on the PG place, or simply shifting on. No workforce is more likely to tackle the $75.Eight million Griffin is owed the subsequent two years, nonetheless, so Detroit will view him as a failed wager and proceed to rebuild. From scratch, principally, with solely Griffin, Luke Kennard, Sekou Doumbouya, Bruce Brown, Svi Mykhailiuk and Khyri Thomas beneath contract in 2021-22. Until they purchase some generational expertise, the Pistons look in for a long-term and painful rebuild. Thus ends that apart concerning the moribund Pistons.

Story continues
Paul George received into early foul hassle, which has been a reasonably constant drawback for PG this postseason. He is had at the least 4 fouls in all however three video games this postseason, however has managed to navigate it and continues to be averaging 36+ minutes. His offense has additionally come round vs. Denver, coming in at 46.8% from the sector and 42.7% from deep. That is a stark enchancment from the primary spherical when George shot 40.8% from the sector and 27.0% on 3-pointers. He mentioned afterward that the Clippers’ temper after their Sport 6 loss was “constructive,” including, “We’re nonetheless within the driver seat. It isn’t a panic mode. We have now a Sport 7. I like our odds with our group.” There’s nothing else he may have mentioned, actually, however the optimism is nice to listen to.
Within the NBA teaching world, the headline was Mike D’Antoni saying that he’ll depart the Rockets. It isn’t an enormous shock after he and the workforce’s administration failed to barter an extension final summer time, adopted by a disappointing exit within the playoffs. He mentioned in a press release that he is “shifting to a brand new chapter,” however the 69-year-old coach would not appear inclined to retire. He is indicated that he intends to maintain teaching and was rapidly linked to the Sixers, the place he’ll reportedly be “thought-about amongst a bunch of candidates.” Any workforce with a training emptiness (apart from the Rockets, in fact) will doubtless give him a glance. As Adrian Wojnarowski famous on ESPN, D’Antoni has gained Coach of the Yr honors twice and led Houston to the second-highest successful share (.682) within the league over the previous 4 years. His resume speaks for itself.
D’Antoni was additionally talked about as a possible candidate to interchange Pacers coach Nate McMillan, whose firing in late August induced some cognitive whiplash — he’d inked a contract extension two weeks earlier. The Rockets performed with the second-fastest tempo throughout the common season, regardless of a ton of isolation performs for James Harden. Additionally they led the NBA with 19.6% of their performs in isolation, whereas the second-highest workforce was at 9.9% (the Blazers). That is a merely huge disparity.
Houston had a mere 2.2% of their possessions finish with a post-up this 12 months, whereas the Sixers, as a consequence of Joel Embiid’s presence, simply led the league at 11.5%. I am posing a query with two views. Is that this purely a personnel disparity, which D’Antoni may simply navigate by inheriting a essentially completely different workforce in Philly? Or is it a philosophical disparity, during which case D’Antoni would want the Sixers, and Embiid particularly, to alter their method to the sport? The Pacers had been extra transition-heavy, with a seemingly less-awkward match for D’Antoni’s established type. We’ll discover out in a matter of months.
On the Rockets’ aspect, D’Antoni’s announcement was quickly adopted by a report that there is “mutual curiosity between the Rockets and Clippers assistant coach Sam Cassell.” Doc Rivers mentioned this very week that Cassell “must be a head coach, interval,” and his document as a participant and assistant ought to communicate for itself. Yahoo’s Chris Haynes additionally reported that the Rockets will doubtless “take a powerful have a look at Los Angeles Clippers assistant Tyronn Lue.”
Whether or not they rent Cassell, Lue, or another person totally, Rockets GM Daryl Morey reportedly needs to push forward along with his workforce’s ultra-small-ball method. On condition that they traded Clint Capela and lack a real heart (Tyson Chandler would not rely), with $265 million dedicated to 2 gamers over the subsequent three years, they might not have a lot of a selection however to lean into small-ball anyway. In 2021-21 alone, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Eric Gordon and Robert Covington are owed a fully-guaranteed $119.7 million. The wage cap for the 2019-20 season was $109.1 million, and income losses from the COVID-19 pandemic may wreak havoc going ahead. Morey has his work lower out for him.

Episode 116 : Headphone Fiend
"...but we worship the dollar, so what we gon' do for jihad?"
- Styles P
Happy New Year! If I say so myself, I think this is a great mix - plenty to match the colder weather we're having, and opportunities for some enjoyable-to-mix transitions between tracks. Press "play" and get ready for end-to-end quality...
Tickets for Homeboy Sandman and Edan in Manchester on Feb 7th - don't miss out!

Playlist/Notes
Alchemist ft. MidaZ : Don Seymour's Theme
One thing you might not notice on first listen - this tune has hardly any drums! Alchemist makes a fresh beat regardless on this short and sweet track from his "Russian Roulette" album, an unusual producer-centred project that draws most of its sonic source material from old Soviet-era music. The lyrics are all American though, with Orlando's MidaZ just streaming bars out with no hook to stop the onslaught.
Exile : Love To The World
Fat Beats' "Baker's Dozen" series gives producers thirteen tracks each to show what they can do, and Exile's contribution is a fine one from a true master of the MPC. Not naming the sample, but if you know the Group Home "Livin' Proof" album, it should sound familiar - here though, it's flipped in a very different way.
Hyenas In The Desert : Wild Dogs
Long Island's Hyenas were one of the first acts signed to Chuck D's Slam Jamz label back in the mid-90s. Kendu is the only named MC, with the others being masked and uncredited. They had a bit of a weird vibe, maybe not quite "horrorcore" as I've seen them described, but not entirely out of keeping with a lot of other material of the era. Gary G-Wiz on the production here with a beat anchored around some tight drums. Find this one on the "Die Laughing" release - patchy, but a few good tracks on there.
Jean Grae : The Jam
One of the most flavourful MCs out there, and one who has probably never recorded a bad verse! I bought the "2K6 (The Tracks)" compilation to get a different tune which will appear on the show at some point, but this little heater has jumped the queue in the meantime. Even at a modest 92BPM, Khrysis cooks up a beat that can make you want to at least dance in your chair :)
Heltah Skeltah : Undastand
I was convinced I must have played this on a past episode but was glad to find I hadn't! Smooth but with those strong Beatminerz drums driving it along, this album track has Ruck (b.k.a Sean Price, RIP), and Rock (who at the time, was getting most of the shine) going back and forth in fine 90s style.
Lovebirds ft. Galliano and 80s Babies : Icarus (TBG Remix)
Tall Black Guy on the remix on this gem from Record Store Day 2017 - the original is dope, but when I flipped it to hear this version on the B-side I could barely hand over the cash fast enough! Jazzy, but with a nice bump on the drums, you can just relax for a few minutes to this one.
Dibia$e : Luv Suite
A second pick from the "Baker's Dozen" series, this time from the mind of Watts' Diba$e. Listen closely and you'll hear several different flips of the same classic 80s soul record - a true suite in the classical musical sense.
Children Of Zeus : Head To The Sky
When the surprise release "The Winter Tape" dropped just before the Xmas break, this tune was my clear favourite and that opinion hasn't changed. The beat is an absolutely fire, fierce reworking of a spiritual anthem, but the words are what will stay with you. Konny and Tyler's lyrics about coping with stress and depression will strike a chord with many, and make this one a tune that deserves the widest possible airing.
AZ : Rather Unique
The 90s heads will nod in recognition of this one! "Sugar Hill" was the huge first single from "Doe Or Die", but this cheeky Pete Rock production was the B-side with more of a rugged edge. The master of the SP-1200 also lays plenty of cuts into the mix but leaves room in the verses for the man who broke out big on Nas' "Life's A Bitch" to shine. He certainly lived up to the track title.
Talib Kweli & Styles P ft. Rapsody and Chris Rivers : Let It Burn
I think I may have once sampled the same track as Khrysis did here, so I can appreciate how well he freaked it here! This is from the 2017 EP "The Seven", and while all the MCs do the business, I think Styles P slayed it on the opening verse, if not just his opening two bars.
Viceversah ft. Kool G Rap : Legends Of The Game
I only heard this for the first time recently but it's a 2008 track from the "James And The Giant Beats" album by this Boston-based MC. Vice puts in a decent performance, but I came for Kool G Rap and he predictably steals the show! The Arcitype handles production, incorporating a bunch of snare rolls into a gloomy, forbidding beat.
[Havoc] Mobb Deep : Bloodsport (Instrumental)
This just mixes so nicely with the Viceversah track, it had to be done. Havoc on the beat with one of the less-mentioned album tracks from the incredibly dark and well-executed "Hell On Earth" LP.
Scarface ft. Rush Davis : Steer
From the opening vocals, you can't get much gloomier than this one. Scarface has explored the darker side of things since his very first recordings, and is one of the best if not the best at it. This track from "Deeply Rooted" hits hard from the very first listen, with Face in storytelling mode and Luke Walker (no way did other kids not call him Luke Skywalker) with the kind of beat you can't just stumble into. It's atmospheric, angular, hostile, and somehow soulful all at once, and one that plenty of MCs wouldn't be able to do anything with. This is also a track where the video is well worth a watch.
The Cool Kids : Black Mags Pt.II
"...went to jail and he left me his bike." Pure Weapon of Bass Destruction business here! The first "Black Mags" from 2008 was a killer (that I played all the way back on episode 5), but this amps up the bass even more as Chuck and Mikey look over their BMX days. This is a single that was one of my most welcome surprises of last year, and one that shows that you can, in fact, go home again.
Raekwon : Going At The Face (Freestyle)
One of the great MCs with a freestyle over one of the great instrumentals of all time, in my opinion - Salih Williams' monster "Sittin' Sidewayz" beat for Paul Wall. I could have done with it being a little longer, but that's the way it goes; it's just one of many short tracks from the Raekwon and DJ Thoro mixtape "Heroin Only".
Showbiz & AG ft. Jeffery Nortey : Beautiful Lies
I wanted to play this song from "Mugshot Music" a few months back but couldn't make the speed fit - here, it's perfect. It's the melancholy story of a relationship gone sour, and the early instrumental reminds you of any number of love songs...then those drums smash through to underscore the lyrics. This 2012 release might have slipped under your radar but it's definitely worth going back to check for it.
[Kanye West] Common : The Corner (Instrumental)
Kanye might be on one right now, but I can't deny this beat. I still can't believe this single wasn't bigger than it was, this track is great.
Apollo Brown & Skyzoo : The Flyest Essence
This is a track that either needed to open or close an episode, purely because of the shape of the start and ending. A deep album cut from "The Easy Truth", the leisurely pace of the beat allows Skyzoo to confidently flow around it, like a lyrical river.
Please remember to support the artists you like! The purpose of putting the podcast out and providing the full tracklist is to try and give some light, so do use the songs on each episode as a starting point to search out more material. If you have Spotify in your country it's a great way to explore, but otherwise there's always Youtube and the like. Seeing your favourite artists live is the best way to put money in their pockets, and buy the vinyl/CDs/downloads of the stuff you like the most!
Check out this episode!

Flight directors – a fatal attraction
My first encounter with flight directors was in 1966 while undergoing conversion to the Avro 748. The RAAF had seen fit to send me to Woodford in Cheshire, all the way from Australia, to ferry the second of several new 748s for the RAAF VIP squadron at Canberra. The conversion was conducted on a battered 748 demonstrator: G-ARAY, known as Gary. The contract allowed four hours of dual for the captains and nothing for the co-pilots. G-ARAY had the basic instrument flying panel of that era and no flight director.
Our instructors at Avro’s were well-known test pilots Bill Else, Tony Blackman and Eric Franklin. Jimmy Harrison was chief test pilot. Unlike the bog-standard civilian 748, the RAAF 748s were to be equipped with a Collins FD 108 FD. So the situation existed that the RAAF 748s had a British Smith’s autopilot system which was married (somewhat expensively and painfully) to the American Collins FD 108.
For the life of me, I could not see why a flight director was needed in the RAAF 748. After all, the approach speed was that of a DC-3 (80 knots) and the aircraft a delight to handle compared with the venerable Dak.
Did the Avro 748 really need a flight director?
In retrospect, I think the old Wing Commander Transport Ops at Department of Air, who was charged with the procurement of the 748 for RAAF service, and hadn’t flown for years, was perhaps conned by the Avro sales people, in conjunction with Collins, into buying the Collins systems. Certainly in my view as the squadron QFI, flight directors were not operationally needed. In the event, the RAAF machines came with Collins FD 108 flight directors and, as the contract specified, each captain would be given only one hour of dual instruction once the 748 came out of the factory. We needed to learn how to operate the FD.
First, a course was arranged at the Collins establishment at Weybridge in Surrey. The two RAAF captains and their co-pilots attended and our two navigators and our instrument fitters also turned up to enjoy the Collins hospitality. We learned about 45 degree automatic intercepts of the VOR and ILS beams and other goodies including V-bar interpretation. We were showered with glossy brochures of the flight director by white dust-coated lecturers and shown a film.
By lunch time, the presentation was complete and we were shouted to a slap up pub meal with lots of grog, all paid for by Collins. We asked what further lectures were to take place after lunch. We were told the course was over – it was just a morning’s job and we were free to leave unless we would like more drinks. Naturally it was churlish to refuse and hours later we staggered to the railway station (I think), smashed to the eye balls and having forgotten all about the marvels of 45 degree auto intercepts on the FD 108. I must say it was a bloody good three-hour course what with the free grog and all that.
A few weeks later, I flew the second RAAF aircraft out of the factory, A10-596, under the watchful eye of Eric Franklin DFC and he demonstrated flight director stuff. For example, to climb using the FD, you first put the aircraft into a normal climb and when settled you switched on the FD and carefully wound up the pitch knob so that the little aeroplane sat in the middle of the V-bars.
I quickly realised that you hand-flew the basic artificial horizon to whatever attitude was appropriate for the manoeuvre then told the FD 108 V bars where you wanted them. The ILS intercept of 45 degrees was never used because radar vectors didn’t do such angles. I became more and more convinced the 748 didn’t need flight directors and that they were a load of bollocks in that type of low speed aircraft. We were told the USAF used the FD 108 in its F4 Phantoms and that Collins was anxious to makes sales in the UK market.
The RAAF Wing Commander got sucked in by good sales talk and from then on all RAAF 748s became so equipped. I held personal doubts about the usefulness of flight directors in general as I could see even then their extended use could lead to degradation of pure instrument flying skills. Today’s flight director systems are light years ahead in sophistication compared with the old Collins FD 105 and 108 series. But the problem with blind reliance on FD indications and thus steady degradation of manual instrument flying skills is as real now as it was back in 1966.
Now to the present day – although first some background history. First published in 1967, Handling the Big Jets, written by the then British Air Registration Board’s chief test pilot David Davies, is still considered by some as the finest treatise still around on jet transport handling. Indeed, the book was described by IFALPA as “the best of its kind in the world, written by a test pilot for airline pilots… the book is likely to become a standard text book… particularly recommended to all airline pilots who fly jets in the future… valuable to those pilots who are active in air safety work.”
Do these flight directors make flying safer or pilots lazier?
All that was back in 1967 and little has changed since then – apart from an increasing propensity for crashes involving loss of control rather than simply running into hills. LOC instead of CFIT. Mostly these accidents were caused primarily by poor hand flying and instrument flying skills, which certainly explains why aircraft manufacturers lead the push for more and more automatics.
A colleague involved with Boeing 787 training was told by a test pilot on type, that the 787 design philosophy was based on the premise that incompetent crews would be flying the aircraft and that its sophisticated automatic protection systems were in place to defend against incompetent handling. Be it a tongue-in-cheek observation, it contains an element of truth. With the plethora of inexperienced low-hour cadet pilots going directly into the second-in-command seats in many airlines in Asia, the Middle East and Europe, these protection systems are important.
Towards the end of his book, David Davies discusses the limitations of the flight instruments in turbulence and in particular the generally small size of the active part of the basic attitude information or the “little aeroplane” as many older pilots will remember it. He continues: “The preponderance of flight director and other information suppresses the attitude information and makes it difficult to get at” and “the inability, where pitch and roll information is split, to convey true attitude information at large pitch and roll angles in combination.” Finally Davies exhorts airline pilots “not to become lazy in your professional lives… the autopilot is a great comfort, so is the flight director and approach coupler… but do not get into the position where you need these devices to complete a flight.” There is more but go and read the book.
Having done the unforgiveable and quoted freely from an eminent authority, it is time to say something original and accept the no doubt critical comment that is freely available. Flight Directors can be a fatal attraction to those pilots who have been brain-washed by their training system to rely on them at all times. While Boeing in their FCTM advise pilots to ensure flight director modes are selected for the desired manoeuvre, it also makes the point that the FD should be turned off if commands are not to be followed.
Recently a new pilot to the Boeing 737 asked his line training captain if he could turn off the FD during a visual climb so he could better “see” the climb attitude. His request was refused as being “unsafe” and instead he was told to “look through” the FD. I don’t know about you, but I find it impossible to “see” the little aeroplane when it is obscured by twin needles or V-bars. In fact, it takes a fair amount of imagination and concentration to do so. Which may be why Boeing recommends pilots to switch off the FD if commands are not to be followed.
I well recall my first simulator experience in the 737 of an engine failure at V2 where I was having a devil of a time trying to correct yaw and roll and the instructor shouting at me to “Follow the bloody flight director needles.” I learned a good lesson from that tirade of abuse on how not to instruct if ever I became a check pilot. In later years, having gravitated to the exalted – or despised maybe – role of simulator instructor, my habit was to introduce the engine failure on takeoff by first personally demonstrating to the student how it should be done on raw data; meaning without a flight director. I hoped by first demonstrating, the student could see the body angles or attitude rather than imagine them by trying to “look through” the dancing needles of the FD. I have always been an advocate of the Central Flying School instructional technique of demonstrate first so the student then knows what he is aiming for. Of course in the simulator, the instructor runs the risk of stuffing up (been there – done that!) but it at least proves he is human and not just another screaming skull.
General aviation pilots are no strangers to flight directors either, especially as glass cockpits become more popular.
Recently, a 250-hour pilot with a type rating on the 737-300 (and trained overseas) booked a practice session prior to putting himself up to renew an instrument rating. His last rating was on a BE76 Duchess. As part of the 737 instrument rating would include manual flying on raw data, he was given a practice manual throttle, raw data takeoff and climb to 3000 ft. He protested, saying he had never flown the simulator without the flight director.
His instructions were to maintain 180 knots with Flaps 5 on levelling. He was unable to cope and when the instructor froze the simulator to save more embarrassment, the student was 2000 ft above cleared level and 270 knots – still accelerating with takeoff thrust. The student had been totally reliant on following flight directors with their associated autothrottles during his type rating course, and without this aid he was helpless.
I believe this is more widespread than most of us would believe, especially as we tend to move in our own narrow circle of experience.
At a US flight safety symposium, a speaker made the point that it is the less experienced first officers starting out at smaller carriers who most need manual flying experience. And, airline training programs are focused on training pilots to fly with the automation, rather than without it. Senior pilots, even if their manual flying skills are rusty, can at least draw on experience flying older generations of less automated planes.
Some time ago, the FAA published a Safety Alert for Operators (SAFO) entitled Manual Flight Operations. The purpose of the SAFO was to encourage operators to promote manual flight operations when appropriate. An extract from the SAFO stated that a recent analysis of flight operations data (including normal flight operations, incidents and accidents) identified an increase in manual handling errors and “the FAA believes maintaining and improving the knowledge and skills for manual flight operations is necessary for safe flight operations.” Now let me see, I recall similar sentiments nearly 50 years ago published in Handling the Big Jets when David Davies wrote that airline pilots should “not become lazy in your professional lives… the autopilot is a great comfort, so is the flight director and approach coupler but do not get into the position where you need these devices to complete the flight.” See my earlier paragraphs.
It is a good bet that lip service will be paid by most US operators to the FAA recommendation to do more hand flying. It may have some effect in USA but certainly the majority of the world’s airlines, if they were even aware of the FAA stance in the first place (very doubtful), will continue to stick with accent on full automation from lift off to near touch-down and either ban or discourage their pilots from hand flying on line.
If you don’t believe that, consider the statement in one European 737 FCOM from 20 years ago that said: “Under only exceptional circumstances will manual flight be permitted.” After all, when at least two major airlines in Southeast Asia have recently banned all takeoff and landings by first officers because of their poor flying ability, then what hope is there to allow these pilots to actually touch the controls and hand-fly in good weather? One of those airlines requires the first officer to have a minimum of five years on type before being allowed to take off or land while the other stipulates the captain will do all the flying below 5000 ft. It might stop QAR pings and the captain wearing the consequences of the first officer’s lack of handling ability, but it sure fails to address the real cause and that is lack of proper training before first officers are shoved out on line.
Sometimes you have to put your hands on the controls and fly raw data.
I think the FAA missed a golden opportunity in its SAFO to note that practicing hand flying to maintain flying skills will better attain that objective if flight director guidance is switched off. The very design of flight director systems concentrates all information into two needles (or V-bar) and in order to get those needles centered over the little square box, it needs intense concentration by the pilot. Normal instrument flight scan technique is degraded or disappears with the pilot sometimes oblivious to the other instruments because of the need to focus exclusively on the FD needles. Believe me, we see this in the simulator time and again. Manual flying without first switching off FD information will not increase basic handling or instrument flying skills.
The flight director is amazingly accurate provided the information sent to it is correct. But you don’t need it for all stages of flight. Given wrong information and followed blindly, it becomes a fatal attraction. Yet we have seen in the simulator a marked reluctance for pilots to switch it off when it no longer gives useful information. Instructors are quick to blame the hapless student for not following the FD needles. This only serves to reinforce addiction to the FD needles as they must be right because the instructor keeps on telling them so. For type rating training on new pilots, repeated circuits and landings sharpen handling skills. Yet it is not uncommon for instructors to teach students to enter waypoints around the circuit and then exhort the pilots “fly the flight director” instead of having them look outside at the runway to judge how things are going.
First officers are a captive audience to a captain’s whims. If the captain is nervous about letting his first officer turn off the flight director for simple climbs or descents, or even a non-threatening instrument approach, then it reflects adversely on the captain’s own confidence that he could handle a non-flight director approach. The FAA has already acted belatedly in publicly recommending that operators should encourage more hand flying if conditions are appropriate. But switch off the flight directors if you want real value for money, particularly with low-hour pilots. It may save lives on the proverbial dark and stormy night and the generators play up.

CES 2018: Robots, AI, massive data and prodigious plans
http://bit.ly/2n1oEly
youtube
This year’s CES was a great show for robots. “From the latest in self-driving vehicles, smart cities, AI, sports tech, robotics, health and fitness tech and more, the innovation at CES 2018 will further global business and spur new jobs and new markets around the world,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CTA.
But with that breath of coverage and an estimated 200,000 visitors, 7,000 media, 3,000 exhibitors, 900 startups, 2.75 million sq ft of floorspace at two convention centers, hospitality suites in almost every major hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, over 20,000 product announcements and 900 speakers in 200 conference sessions, comes massive traffic (humans, cars, taxis and buses), power outages, product launch snafus and humor:
AI, big data, Amazon, Google, Alibaba and Baidu
“It’s the year of A.I. and conversational interfaces,” said J. P. Gownder, an analyst for Forrester Research, “particularly advancing those interfaces from basic conversations to relationships.” Voice control of almost everything from robots to refrigerators was de rigueur. The growing amount of artificial intelligence software and the race between Amazon, Google and their Chinese counterparts Alibaba and Baidu to be the go-to service for integration was on full display. Signs advertised that products worked with Google Assistant or Amazon’s Alexa or both, or with Duer-OS (Baidu’s conversational operating system) but, by the sheer number of products that worked with the Alexa voice assistant, Amazon appeared to dominate.
“It’s the year when data is no long static and post processed” said Brian Krzanich, Intel’s CEO. He also said: “The rise of autonomous cars will be the most ambitious data project of our lifetime.” In his keynote presentation he demonstrated the massive volume of data involved in the real-time processing needs of autonomous cars, sports events, smart robotics, mapping data collection and a myriad other sources of data-driven technology on the horizon.
Many companies were promoting their graphics, gaming, and other types of processors. IBM had a large invite-only room to show their Quantum Computer. Their 50-qubit chip is housed in that silver canister at the bottom of the thing/computer. Not shown is the housing which keeps the device super cool. IBM is making the computer available via the cloud to 60,000 users working on 1.7 million experiments as well as commercial partners in finance, materials, automotive and chemistry. (Intel showed their 49-qubit chip code-named Tangle Lake in a segment in Krzanich’s keynote.)
Robots, robotics and startups
Robots were everywhere ranging from ag bots, tennis bots, drones, robot arms, robot prosthetics and robot wheelchairs, to smart home companions, security robots and air, land and sea drones. In this short promotional video produced by CES, one can see the range of products on display. Note the quantity of Japanese, Chinese and Korean manufacturers.
One of the remarkable features of CES is what they call Eureka Park. It’s a whole floor of over 900 startup booths with entrepreneurs eager to explain their wares and plans. The area was supported by the NSF, Techstars and a host of others. It’s a bit overwhelming but absolutely fascinating.
Because it’s such a spread-out show, locations tend to blur. But I visited all the robotics and related vendors I could find in my 28,000-step two-day exploration and the following are ones that stuck out from the pack:
LiDAR and camera vision systems providers for self-driving vehicles, robots, and automation such as Velodyne, Quanergy and Luminar were everywhere showing near and far detection ranges, wide, narrow and 360° fields of view, and solid state or other conventional as well as software to consolidate all that data and make it meaningful.
Innoviz Technologies, an Israeli startup that has already raised $82 million, showed their solid state device (Pro) available now and their low-cost automotive grade product (One) available in 2019.
Bosch-supported Chinese startup Roadstar.ai is developing Level 4 multi-sensor fusion solutions (cameras, LiDARs, radars, GPS and others).
Beijing Visum Technology, another Chinese vision system startup, but this one uses what they called ‘Natural Learning’ to continually improve what is seen by their ViEye, stereoscopic, real-time vision detection system for logistics and industrial automation.
Korean startup EyeDea displayed both a robot vision system and a smart vision module (camera and chip) for deep learning and obstacle avoidance for the auto industry.
Occipital, a Colorado startup developing depth sensing tech using twin infrared shutter cameras for indoor and outdoor for scanning and tracking.
Aeolus Robotics, a Chinese/American startup working on a $10,000 home robot with functional arms and hands and comms and interactivity that are similar to what IBM’s Watson offers, appeared to be focused toward selling their system components: object recognition, facial/pedestrian recognition, deep learning perception systems and auto safety cameras which interpret human expressions and actions such as fatigue.
SuitX, a Bay Area exoskeleton spin-off from Ekso Bionics, focused on providing modular therapeutic help for people with limited mobility rather than industrial uses of assistive devices. Ekso, which wasn’t at CES, is providing assistive systems that people strap into to make walking, lifting and stretching easier for employees and the military.
There were a few marine robots for photography, research and hull inspection:
Sublue Underwater AI, a Chinese startup, had a tank with an intelligent ROV capable of diving down to 240′ while sending back full HD camera and sensor data. They also make water tows.
RoboSea, also a Chinese startup, was showing land and sea drones for entertainment, research and rescue and photography.
QYSea, a Chinese startup making a 4k HD underwater camera robot which can go to a depth of 325′.
CCROV, a brand of the Vxfly incubater of China’s Northwestern Polytechnical University, demonstrated a 10-pound tethered camera box with thrusters that can dive more than 300′. The compact device is designed for narrow underwater areas and dangerous environments for people.
All were well-designed and packaged as consumer products.
UBTech, a Chinese startup that is doing quite well making small humanoid toy robots including their $300 StarWars StormTrooper showed that their line of robots are growing from toys to service robots. They were demonstrating the first video-enabled humanoid robot with an Amazon Alexa communication system touting its surveillance capabilities and Avatar modes for this little (17″ tall) walking robot. It not only works with Alexa but can also get apps and skills and accept controls from iOS and Android. Still, like many of the other home robots, they can’t grasp objects, consequently they can’t perform services beyond remote presence and Alexa-like skills.
My Special Aflac Duck won the CES Best Unexpected Product Award for a social robot designed to look like the white Aflac duck but also designed to help children coping with cancer. This is the second healthcare-related robotic device for kids from Sproutel, the maker of the duck. Their first product was Jerry the Bear for diabetic kids.
YYD Robo, another Chinese startup, was demonstrating a line of family companion, medical care robots (although the robot’s hands could not grasp), which also served as child care and teaching robots. This Shenzhen-based robot company says they are fully-staffed and have a million sq ft of manufacturing space, yet the robots weren’t working and their website doesn’t come up.
Hease Robotics, a French mobile kiosk startup, showed their Heasy robotic kiosk as a guide for retail stores, office facilities and public areas. At CES, there were many vending machine companies showing how they are transitioning to smart machines – and in some cases, smart and robotic as the Heasy robotic kiosk.
Haapie SAS, also a French startup, was showing their tiny interactive, social and cognitive robots – consumer entertainment and Alexa-like capabilities. Haapie also integrates their voice recognition, speech synthesis and content management into smartphone clients.
LG, the Korean consumer products conglomerate, showed an ambitious line of robot products they called CLOi. One is an industrial floor cleaner for public spaces which can also serve as a kiosk/guide; another has a build-in tray for food and drink delivery in hotels; and a third can carry luggage and will follow customers around stores, airports and hotels. During a press conference, one of the robots tipped over and another wouldn’t hear instructions. Nevertheless all three were well-designed and purposed and the floor cleaner and porter robots are going to help out at the airport for next month’s Winter Olympics.
Two Chinese companies showed follow-me luggage: 90FUN and their Puppy suitcase and ForwardX and their smart suitcases. 90FUN is using Ninebot/Segway follow-me technology for their Puppy.
Twinswheel, a French startup, was showing a prototype of their parcel delivery land drone for factories, offices and last-mile deliveries.
Dobot is a Chinese inventor/developer of a transformable robot and 3D printer for educational purposes and a multi-functional industrial robot arm. They also make a variety of vision and stabilizing systems which are incorporated into their printers and robots. It’s very clever science. They even have a laser add-on for laser cutting and/or engraving. Dobot had a very successful Kickstarter campaign in 2017.
Evolver Robots is a Chinese developer of mobile domestic service robots specifically designed for children between the ages of 4-12 offering child education, video chat, games, mobile projection and remote control via smartphone.
Although drones had their own separate area at the show, there were many locations where I found them. From the agricultural spraying drones by Yamaha, DJI and Taiwanese Geosat Aerospace to the little deck-of-cards-sized ElanSelfie or the fold-into-a-5″ X 1/2″ high AEE Aviation selfie drone from Shenzhen, nothing stood out amongst the other 40+ drone vendors to compete with the might of DJI (which had two good-sized booths in different locations).
Segway (remember Dean Kamen?) is now fully owned by Ninebot, a Beijing provider of all types of robotic-assisted self-balancing scooters and devices. They are now focused on lifestyle and recreational riders in the consumer market including the Loomo which you ride like a hoverboard and then load it up with cargo and have it follow you home or to another place in the facility. At their booth they were pushing the Loomo for logistics operations however it can’t carry much and has balance problems. They would do better having it tow a cart.
Yujin Robot, a large Korean maker of robotic vacuums, educational robots, industrial robots, mobility platforms for research and a variety of consumer products, was showing their new logistics transport system GoCart with three different configurations of autonomous point-to-point robots.
The Buddy robot from Blue Frog Robotics won CES’s Robotics and Drones Innovation Award along with Soft Robotics and their grippers and control system that can pick items of varying size, shape and weight with a single device. Jibo, the Dobot (mentioned above) and 14 others also received the Robotics and Drones Innovation Award.
[The old adage in robotics that for every service robot there is a highly-skilled engineer by its side is still true… most of the social and home robots frequently didn’t work at the show and were either idle or being repaired.]
Silly things
A local strip club promoted their robotic pole dancers (free limo).
At a hospitality suite across from the convention center, the head of Harmony, the sex robot by San Diego area Abyss Creations (RealDoll), was available for demos and interviews. It will begin shipping this quarter at $8-$10,000.
youtube
Crowd-drawing events were everywhere but this one drew the largest audiences: Omron’s ping-pong playing robot.
FoldiMate, a laundry folding robot, requires a human to feed the robot one article at a time for it to work (for just $980 in late 2019). Who’s the robot?
And Intel’s drones flew over the Bellagio hotel fountains in sync with the water and light musical show. Very cool.
youtube
ABC’s Shark Tank, the hit business-themed funding TV show, was searching for entrepreneurs with interesting products at an open call audition area.
Bottom Line
Each time I return from a CES (I’ve been to at least six) I swear I’ll never go again. It’s exhausting as well as overwhelming. It’s impossible to get to all the places one needs to go — and it’s cold. Plus, once I get there, the products are often so new and untested, that they fail or are over-presented with too much hype. (LG’s new CLOi products failed repeatedly at their press conference; Sony’s Aibo ignored commands at the Sony press event.)
I end up asking myself “Is this technology really ready for prime time? Will it be ready by their promised delivery dates? Or was it all just a hope-fest? A search for funding?” I still have no answer… perhaps all are true; perhaps that’s why I keep going. It’s as if my mind sifted through all the hype and chaff and ended up with what’s important. There’s no doubt this show was great for robotics and that Asian (particularly Chinese) vendors are the new power players. Maybe that’s why I copied down the dates for CES 2018.

42) "If I Could Teach the World," by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony
OK I'm just, I know I should be doing more than pointing at the lyrics page and going "haha you believe this shit," but like "How many mo days on this old earth can you see/It's a crime to me/So we should get ready for Armageddon/'Cuz I know God should be ready to roll and do away with the wickedest shit like Mr. Police Man" ...like legitimately what. Bone Thugs is worried that everyone is too evil and God is going to END THE WORLD AT ANY MINUTE, and "that's why [they] get high." I have no idea what this song is or what Bone Thugs' belief system is. This song is so weird. "How can I say this, if we can, no more murder." I JUST WANNA SAY: I AM ANTI-MURDER. Unless you like really have to. I mean, if you can not murder, that'd be super cool! But I guess if you absolutely have to murder, that's okay. I can be fine with it. No, no, really, I'm fine if you want to murder! I just like it when people don't murder, but if you need to murder, you need to murder, and, y'know, that's just what you're gonna do.
55) "Sock it 2 Me," by Missy Elliott ft./Da Brat
this is fine, why did i decide to write two posts back to back, this is no way to listen to music, this was already a bad way to listen to missy, there's shit she's probably doing that requires either headphones or better speakers, i mean i'm consuming music badly and then offering bad opinions which is sort of the reason why i stopped doing this for a bit, like what even is this paragraph, this is self-reflection not music words, and this is music which deserves words to be written about it. i don't know what i'm doing. it's one am and i'm on the return of jafar imdb page. eleven whole entire people wrote return of jafar, which means eleven people all sat in a room convincing each other they were doing good work. how come i don't have ten other people on this thing. it'd still be bad but there'd be voices telling me it was good. thank you for making music, missy elliott, i don't know why i didn't listen to it.
76) "So Help Me, Girl," by Gary Barlow
i wonder if gary barlow realizes he's the last person named Gary to have a hit on the billboard hot 100. ...i shouldn't make that assumption, there's gotta be at least 12 country garys looking to break through, but it's just nuts that in my lifetime dudes named Gary -- GARY -- were trying to be heartthrob pop stars. this dude wouldn't be in Tiger Beat, but he was definitely in like Panther Groove or whatever cheap knock-off your dad bought you from the newsstand because he knew there was a cat involved with that magazine you liked what with all the boys and such. there was an interview with the dude from boy meets world who played the main character's brother's roommate in that issue of Panther Groove. this song was four and a half minutes long and i have stern words for whoever made this a thing my life had to encounter.
89) "One More Night," by Amber
hey guess what: dance music? still horrible. still so so very bad. still nothing i ever wanted to listen to but these are the choices i've made and this is the thing i wanted to pursue and it's on me to reflect on the mistakes i've made.
92) "You're the Inspiration," by Peter Cetera ft./Az Yet
...you know how sometimes you're on the bus, and some gross person will sit next to you for three seconds before they turn their head a little bit and see that there's open seats in the back, and you're like "I'm so glad I don't have to deal with Clearly A Smoker Jones anymore" and then some fucking even grosser person takes that seat? this is how i feel right now. i miss dance music right now. DANCE MUSIC.
93) "The Rest of Mine," by Trace Adkins
I NEVER THOUGHT DANCE MUSIC WOULD SOUND SO GOOD BUT THEN 1997 FOLLOWED UP "IDOL GIVES BACK"-LEVEL BALLAD WITH SLOW-ASS COUNTRY BULLSHIT AND NOW I HATE THAT I MISS DANCE MUSIC. 1997 you are the least trash year i am considering, and this week is why i have to say "least trash" instead of "best."

55) "Blue Magic," Jay-Z
This is a microwaved Jay-Z leftover, one of many songs about how Jay-Z used to sell coke but now sells CDs, from the soundtrack of a movie about gangsters which seems like it should be much better than it is. This will probably be the week's best song. This week is horrible.
72) "Soulja Girl," Soulja Boy Tell'em ft./I-15
Life is a miracle. The fact that you and I are communicating, are engaged in a transaction of ideas, me having written these words and you reading these words, is only possible because of all the planets in all the solar systems in all the galaxies this is the one close enough to the star it orbits to feel its heat but not so close that it isn't just always on fire which allowed tiny organisms to form and grow and grow and grow and grow and we discovered the tones which pleased us and rhythms which soothed us and we tasked some of the large organisms to create these noises and one such organism was Soulja Boy Tell'em and life is a miracle.
97) "Into the Night," Santana ft./Chad Kroeger
how has nickelback not gone country yet? i just realized nickelback is eventually going to make a country album and now that i've made this realization i'm stunned that it is only at this point hypothetical. like, nickelback is absolutely just gonna add a fiddle to "photograph" and have a top-ten hit for big machine. anyway, hey guess what, chad kroeger is completely unconvincing singing a song about having a fun night with a woman. his voice turns this song into a dirge because all he knows is misery. this song is what it sounds like when sean penn tries to tell a knock-knock joke. ...i guess sean penn telling a knock-knock joke would sound more like sean penn's voice than this song, but you know what i mean.
98) "Everybody," Keith Urban
every day keith urban wakes up and sees a man named Geoff whose job for the last seventeen years has been to shave Keith Urban's face so that he always maintains a consistent level of just-woke-up stubble. Geoff's daughter just graduated from college last summer, the first member of either side of Geoff's family to do so, and Geoff is so insanely proud of his Addison for taking advantage of the opportunities he's worked so hard to create for her. Keith Urban is hot and as a not-hot person this makes me angry, is what I'm trying to say.
99) "What Do Ya Think About That," Montgomery Gentry
the thumbnail for this song is a dude in a camo cowboy hat. at one point montgomery gentry snarls that he "shot a little eight ball down at the pool hall" and i know this is a song about how monty doesn't care what other people think but i really think he could have phrased that lyric in a way that didn't sound like he does heroin in public. like i always assumed when country dudes talked about horse riding, they were relaying cowboy fantasies, but i guess i was looking at the culture completely wrong?

68) "Hi Bich," Bhad Bhabie
I watched gameplay of Getting Over It recently. In Getting Over It, near the end of the game, there is a snake. Near the snake, there is a sign which says "Do Not Ride the Snake," and the narrator tells you not to ride the snake. So the player knows, without a doubt, that if they ride the snake, they are taken to the beginning of the game and will have to replay the entire frustrating thing. So if you know that riding the snake is only going to bring you disappointment and sadness, why would you ride the snake? I'm not listening to this fucking song and you can't make me.
74) "No Promises," A Boogie Wit da Hoodie 75) "Say A'," A Boogie Wit da Hoodie 84) "Undefeated," A Boogie Wit da Hoodie ft./21 Savage 86) "Beast Mode," A Boogie Wit da Hoodie ft./PnB Rock * NBA YoungBoy
I was prepared to just write "I know I listened to four songs because I clicked four links, but I swear, I just listened to one twelve-minute-long song," but shot outs to "Say A'" for being "I Spy"-level jaunty! It's not as free-spirited and fun as "I Spy," little in life is, but man, I was relieved to hear a jaunty piano, and the hook is pretty inspired. Like, he knows any run-in with a cop could be his last, so when he gets off with a warning, he's just like, "Fuck it. We did it! Doesn't mean it can't happen, but hey! Look at that!" The other songs are pretty boilerplate, but I'm intrigued in what this dude can do if he's got "Say A'" in him.
98) "Smooth," Florida Georgia Line
Man, this is not a hot one. This is a lazy joke, yes, but look at what I'm dealing with. If they don't have to try, why should I, y'know?
Who won the week?
Somehow, 2017. It helps that I’m just pretending Bhad Bhabie isn’t a thing, but like if we’re being real “Say A’” is the only song in this batch worth acknowledging, and worthless as Florida Georgie Line is, they’re not Nickelback.
Current standings 1997: 15 2007: 12 2017: 14 Yo, 2007 might actually be a legit contender next week! That’ll be fun!
