CAPITOL ANNOUNCEMENT // PRESIDENT RAVENSTILL

From his lofty post in the Capitol, overlooking the avenue of the Tribute Parade, the President is set to address the nation of Panem. A speech that is well anticipated as the official start of the Hunger Games. After all, these are no ordinary Games, this is the First Quarter Quell. It was announced shortly after the last Victory Tour that tributes for this Games would be voted in by popular vote in their Districts. Any District that does not provide a tribute will be stripped of their eligibility for their children to claim any tesserae for the entire year and receive no support from the Capitol to go with increased quota for their workers to fill.

Lets tune in to see what the President has to say...

“Ladies and gentleman, the people of Panem, today is a great day in the history of our nation! Today is the day we celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the defeat of the Rebels. Forces that once rose up and threatened our very livelihood and the future of our Nation. But we as a people are the persevering type. A type of people that will not be defeat by the actions of a few insurgents.”

“No, on this day, the day of the opening of the First Quarter Quell, we gather here as one nation. United. Today on this day we are celebrating a new found peace and prosperity. I know you will join with me in welcoming back our beloved Victors, the shinning hope of what can be achieved when you trust in the system and your Capitol. Welcome our newest addition, our Capitol assigned mentors, who have come to shine their light on these games. Mentors who signify the brightest of what Panem has to offer. Most importantly, welcome your Tributes. Tributes with the privilege of being chosen by you to represent their Districts and the people, and who will surely bring us the best. We honor your strength, we honor your courage, and most important we honor your sacrifice.”

“So, on this, the fourth of July and at this hour I, President Augustus Ravenstill, declare this season of the Hunger Games...”

There is a slight pauses as the President stops to cover his cough that has crept up upon him. Astute viewers will notice, underneath the lights and the makeup, a pale coloring has settled upon Augustus Ravenstill. Leading up to the games there has been hushed whispers on the streets of the Capitol. Whispers about failed poisoning attempts on the President or a mysterious illness. Such rumors are “ill-founded” and “unreliable” is the official word and anyone caught whispering such things will be convicted of Treason.

Still the whispers rage on. Along with whispers of a renewed rebellion kindling in the hallows of Districts Six, Seven, Eight, and Eleven. All of which the Capitol has dismissed as rumors, tactics of a bitter rebellion that refuses to die. Leading to such comments from Head Gamemaker and those under him as ashes to a long dead battle that need to be extinguished before they’re allowed to take hold again.

25TH HUNGER GAMES // OFFICIALLY OPEN

With the announcement from President Ravenstill, From the Ashes, is officially open for play. Tributes, mentors, victors alike are arriving in the Capitol and are free to interact with each other. This will be the time period before the tribute parade. The time period in real life will correspond with the dates June 20th till the morning of June 27th.

Characters are free to interact, voice their feelings, their dreams, aspirations, or just hide and enjoy the food offered to by the Capitol as generous hosts. Be warned though, voicing Rebel thoughts or anything considered rebellious might be enough to earn you a visit from your ‘friendly’ Peacekeepers or a note from those in charge. Please tag posts with the tag ftashes:start to make them easier to access. A blog will be established shortly to reblog starters to make interactions easier for the members!

Good afternoon!

Our pages have all been update and our latest round of acceptances will be in an hour! We still have plenty of Victor spots open, Capitol Mentors, and tributes open for the Quarter Quell!

I want to remind our current members you can have three characters to start, with a max of five. We also have a wanted page here, if you are looking for a specific plot line for one of your characters.

Also, keep an eye out later for the debut of the Gossip Blog.

Tonight's acceptances are complete!

Accepted players are encouraged to send their accounts in before opening tomorrow, preferably before 9am EST, as something important has come up in RL. However, don’t worry, I have queued opening information to allow the game to start as scheduled.

I will do one more round of acceptances in the morning if needed and all holds are extended until opening. If players need more time message me and I will extend them until Wednesday’s acceptances.

I cannot wait to get to know our wonderful players and their characters!
