Sasuke's eyebrows crease at the center of his forehead, though just a little; almost imperceptibly. There's a brief pause. He shouldn't have tried being friendly, he guesses. "Don't worry, I can forget it, too," he says with a huff.

It's a simple enough answer, and likely a common one. Chiari has gotten used to answering things without actually answering, giving a little information here and there to make it seem like she's giving more, but this time, a one word response should suffice, after all, when is there not a need for shinobi?

A soft hum leaves the academy teacher's lips. She never had the pleasure of teaching the class Sakura had been a part of in the academy, but seeing the younger generation grow was still refreshing. No matter who had taught them. That had always been one of the joys of teaching. Besides, a teacher was only as good as their student. And it was obvious that the pink-haired girl must have been an excellent one.

"Still, I feel like I should be the one saying that to you."

// Deadly Battle [Sasuke & Sakura]

A tear? How disappointing, if not infuriating. Sakura was hesitating. Did she feel sorry for him? Sasuke didn't care; it was too late to turn back now, he'd stay on the path of revenge, towards a better world.

Sasuke had awakened his Mangekyo Sharingan when he thought Sakura had died while they were fighting two of the Sound Four, and like during the Forest of Death with his curse mark, he brutally finished off their foes to avenge her.

So he decided to take Orochimaru's bait, just so he could destroy the Sound from the inside, and even after finding out Sakura was alive, it was so they could not hurt Sakura ever again. There were mixed rumours that Sasuke killed Orochimaru years later or became Orochimaru's new vessel. Either way, Sasuke still joined the Akatsuki and became a renowned criminal.

Naruto had recently fended off an invasion by the Akatsuki led by one known as Pain. Despite Sasuke wanting to capture Naruto personally, the Uchiha was assigned to the Eight Tails instead, and just finished delivering him with his team, when Sakura arrived.

"My eyes awakened for your sake, Sakura, I avenged you, thoroughly at that. For you to seek me out just to stand in my way, why?" Sasuke asked her, he'd at least give her a chance to explain herself. But her intent was still there, despite how shaky it was.

"What? Are you going to kill me, Sakura? Then it is a battle to the death, where I will kill you with these very eyes!" he declared as he unsheathed his katana and revealed his Mangekyo Sharingan, ready to attack Sakura without hesitation.

Was this a fight?

Sakura knew that she shouldn't have done this. After hearing hushed rumors of an alleged sighting of Sasuke in a neighboring village, she took it upon herself to go after him. She wouldn't let her teammates suffer with the burden of Sasuke any longer. She felt like a fool. Attempting to pull a stunt like this felt like something only Naruto would do. Sakura already knew that Lady Tsunade would have her head as soon as she returned to Konoha.

Regardless of the future consequences, Sakura realized that she had one shot. One chance to get this right. Balling her gloved hand in a fist, she sighed. Sakura hadn't realized what getting into a fight with Sasuke would actually entail. Killing him. Killing Sasuke. Her comrade, her first love. Coming home and having to file Sasuke Uchiha - Status: Deceased on the mission report. The thought alone shook Sakura to her core. The blood would be on her hands, forever stained. But it wouldn't be on Naruto's. He had already gone through so much, he didn't deserve to carry such a heavy guilt with him. Naruto's hands would remain clean. He'd continue to shine and his brightness would never dull. She owed it to him.

A small tear rolls off of Sakura's cheek. She scoffs. She didn't realize that she began to cry. Typical of me, isn't it? Rolling back her shoulders, she readies her stance, staring at Sasuke- no, her opponent, right in the eyes. She grits her teeth. It was time to finish the job.

"Alright, fine. let's go."

Talk to me about evil missing nin Ino, what would she be like?

[[//Ino would have abandoned the Village sometime around Shippuden. Biding her time, and learning whatever jutsu she deems necessary before making her getaway. (In this verse, Ino would have grown tired of the rules, and high expectations in place. And as distrusting as she'd grown to those around her, would have eventually dug into the Village's history, and found out some things that would make her rethink everything she'd ever grown to believe. Thus cementing her decision to leave.) Overtime, she'd grow to be extremely cold and calculating, and pretty much devoid of attachments. She wouldn't be above using others for personal gain, and betraying said person (in question) once they are no longer of any use to her. Ino's not exclusive to killing. She'll give you a chance to back off, but if not done in a timely manner, she's not above going for the kill.

((The only exception to the attachment rule would be @fuchsiafortified's Sakura, due to plotting (in my previous blog) & the close relationship between our muses. (And the fact that her Sakura was the one who intercepted Ino making her leave, though, ultimately failed to talk her into staying. This is exclusive to her Sakura only.) Ino wouldn't necessarily show her face around Sakura, but if the Haruno were anywhere near her location and was somehow being targeted, she would protect her the best she could. Naruto eyes the medicine ball warily, taking it from Sakura's hand with trepidation. It smells like medicine, and something else that he can't quite put a name too, but that just scares him all the more. While her creations never failed to do their job, their taste was an entirely different matter, and in Naruto's eyes, the most important one.

Gathering up all his courage, he pulls the ball up to his mouth and finally takes a bite - only to immediately spit it back out.

"Was that a bone? Are you trying to kill a sick man?" There's a teasing glint in his eyes, even as he spits out the remnants of the so - called medicine. But then the after taste hits, and he's scrambling to wipe his tongue off. "And why is it spicy?"

Sai was on a mission with Sakura to gather medicinal herbs, when they clashed with some ninja looking for the same herbs. During the battle the ninja also weaponised the herbs to add effects to their weapons, a contrast to their differing mission goals. Sai later got cut by a tainted weapon while protecting Sakura, prioritising her safety as the medic.

“I’m sorry for the trouble, Sakura.” Now he was completely paralysed and Sakura had to carry him back, despite him insisting he could use an ink bird to do so. It was not worth the risk of him falling, seeing as it could easily interfere with his chakra control too.

This, wasn’t what Karin expected. Being approached by the other woman at her own lab. Karin furrowed her brow, unsure as to what to say let alone begin to understand why the other would come here of all places. Even more so, how she was able to find this place to begin with.

“ Yes. . . ? “ She’d hesitantly ask, voice unsteady as she spoke. Hesitant. They had once been enemies and despite the other saving her life Karin didn’t know how to greet her.

Sakura was sent to Kirigakure for the week to help train some of their medical ninjas to help strengthen the bonds between Kirigakure and Konoha after the war. After a long day of teaching, she was finally able to explore the village.

In the middle of trying to find a teashop, she stumbled across a weapons shop instead. Sakura thought that if there was someone inside, she could hopefully get directions, even if the people in Kiri weren't the friendliest.

She slowly turned the door handle to see if it was unlocked. Miraculously, the door opened.  After opening the door, she hesitantly took a step inside the establishment.

"Hello? Is anyone in here? I just needed help with directions."

His current projects were coming along nicely.  The shop would be loaded with new supplies soon enough which meant more money to invest in other projects hidden away.  Even if he was no longer the famed, or infamed, puppet master of Sunagakure?  His puppets were still a life’s work.  Artistic projects but also a means of weapons if he truly needed them.  Just a shame they would be a last resort in the end as such a reveal would truly jeopardize his identity. 

Then again ... What could hurt him more than someone that would recognize him without fail?  The sound of a voice made him flinch.  As he moved around a corner of a shop, the male that wore a bandanna to hide the red hair would reveal himself with his leather apron still on and a towel slung over his shoulder.  Sure enough, that all too familiar pink hair from his past was in his shop.  Every ounce of him was loathing this moment, but he knew eventually something like this would happen.

Did it have to be her?

“Someone from Konoha stumbles into my shop for directions.  Can’t say I’m a fan...” he spoke, probably not helping his case... “What are you looking for?”

She’s in the middle of opening the neatly decorated box when she hears the word dango and her little feet start swinging back and forth as they sit on the bench. “Way to blow the surprise, Sakura-chan!” she scolds in a playful way, takes one stick and shoves it into her mouth. “Ummm yummy!” a little time for chewing, daddy says a proper lady doesn’t talk and eat at the same time. “You are really amazing, Sakura-chan! Can you teach me how to make dango?”

Nagato's favorite kind of baked dessert, as he learned from stealing the little baked treats with his friends is cookies. Something that was actually easier to steal and hide away and that alone already made it easier to like them, easy to hide, easy to run away with, easier to get multiple of them more than most other treats! He doesn't typically eat many sweets or treats at all in the future, but the simplicity of the baked good is still one to be appreciated.

His view on good and evil is a complicated one, and a little bit jaded. While he believes that there is true evil in the world, he cannot say the same for good. He believes that there are good people, and good intentions, but no one is ever just good. And a lot of the time even those 'good people' have ulterior motives.

That being said, Sasuke has come a long way in his thinking since his teenage years. He isn't quite as cynical as he used to be, but gaining his trust is an incredibly difficult task that only a small handful of people can claim to have accomplished.

Sai was painting the landscape outside when it started snowing, “Should I paint the change of scenery too, Sakura?” He asked her in wonder as he watched the snow in artistic curiosity.
