The knowledge that the things that went bump in the night were real and that his brother was one of them was a lot to take in. Hard to process, too, but Ryder seemed to be adjusting just fine given the circumstances. It helped that he did not have to deal with all the ‘supernatural drama’ directly — The pack seemed intent on, for now, keeping him a safe distance away from everything. Which was fine. Ryder saw no problem with that. The only problem he seemed to have, then, was adjusting to his brother’s werewolf…ness. And the apparent knowledge that Liam could smell him.

Expression scrunched up in confusion before he narrowed his eyes at Liam. Both offended at the comment and confused since he had literally just showered an hour earlier after lacrosse practice. The comment had briefly distracted him from listening to whatever Mason had been trying to explain to them. “You smell terrible.” A twelve year old sort of response but it was not surprising given their relationship. “I don’t need a special werewolf nose to know that.”

Flash was well aware of the sort of person that he had been during high school. In all honesty, that person had remained for far too long after their graduation from high school. “Someone like me,” he repeated without even blinking. The blonde knew that his boyfriend deserved better. Peter had been one of the best people that he had known since he could remember — Not to mention the fact that Peter only proved what a good person he was even more when he revealed that he was Spider-Man. Despite himself, the words were enough to cause a small shudder to travel down his spine. He tried his best to stop his train of thought before his mind could conjure up any pictures of what Marvel ruining him would be like. The Career had not made it clear if he meant it in regard to their time in the arena or something else. At that point, with the things Marvel said to him, Ryder doubted that it even mattered anymore. He tried to keep the blush off his face as he rolled his eyes. Offering a hand to the other to tug him up from where he had been sprawled over the sparring mat. “I’d like to see you try.” A quick glance around the room, noting where everyone was, before his attention turned back to Marvel. “Assuming you’d even get a chance to.”

Adrenaline had been the only thing that kept Flash on his feet for the past thirty minutes. While his heart hammered in his chest, it felt like he was about to vibrate out of his body from anxiety and fear and yet he remained upright. He seemed relatively fine. As fine as one could be after everything that had gone down — After he had quite literally been chased down by whatever Supervillain of the Week it was that time and almost caught. The only reason that he wasn’t either snatched by the villain or attacked there and then was due to Spider-Man seining in in the nick of time. The distraction that Flash had provided was just enough for the vigilante to get some sort of upper hand in the situation.

“Yeah.” Flash could not decide if he wanted to sink back against the wall of the alleyway that Peter had shoved him into or invade the other’s space. It seemed clear that the anxiety of the previous situation had started to see in. “And you would have been killed. I couldn’t just- I couldn’t see that and not do something!” It was different to see his boyfriend fighting for his life in real time, up close and personal, than on some TV screen.
