It is time to actually explain that one vague Sam and Max au! Calling it

Take me out Noir au

first off, you have to know, this au is essentially a hypothetical fanfic Sam and Max write together with their “totally not me” ocs. I feel like they’d be the kinda guys to write self fulfilling fanficfion (they’re terrible at it)

The gist is that it is a gritty noir detective drama starring Samantha and Maxine, their fem counterparts. It’s the same vibes as a noir detective pulp fiction novel in the 1950’s, so VIOLENCE!! DRAMA!! TENSION!!!

With a disheveled detective and her ex-partner turned performer/singer (with connections to the mafia..?), they often cross paths and usually end up fighting, reminiscing longingly, or a mixture of the both

• Sam & Darlin: Butch4Butch. Very obvious…I’ve been thinking about them a lot smh. Sam’s on the incredibly masc leaning lesbian side. Cmon…the flannel?? Lumberjack-lesbian-ass behavior. They both make me so ill. Darlin’s more of a leather-wearing Butch, but they switch outfits and share clothes every now and then.

• Milo & Sweetheart: Genderqueer Lesbians. Milo uses whatever pronouns, they don’t really have a preference, since they’re leaning whichever way whenever!! Sweetheart’s the same way, essentially. When they’re going out, they’re coordinating to the other. Either they’re both wearing dresses or suits no exceptions☝🏽☝🏽

• Gavin & Freelancer: Genderfluid! Gavin, Enby!Freelancer. Very obvious choice with Gavin, I think. They KILL it in a dress and they make it everyone’s problem. (/j) Gavin’s very fluid identity wise, and adhering to the binary is virtually out of the question. Fem! Gavin could easily put Freelancer into a coma. Freelancer’s more of the middle category, integrating masculine and feminine traits all the same.

• Vincent & Lovely: Tfem! Vincent, Femme! Lovely. Through meeting Lovely, Vincent’s explored so many different things relationship-wise, and expression wise!! They do eachother’s makeup for special events, and the two are giggling the entire way through :3 Lovely’s incredibly supportive throughout the transition and helped integrate fem-leaning clothing into her wardrobe

• Vega: THE lesbian. That’s the headcanon guys. /j Thank you user Vegafan69 for opening my eyes to lesbian Vega—that’s what inspired the lesbian headcanons in the first place 🗣️🗣️🗣️‼️‼️

• Asher & Baaabe: Golden Retriever Lesbian! Asher, Black Cat Lesbian! Baaabe. THEY. THEY. THEY. Asher’s the golden retriever masc of all time, actually. Don’t have much of a backing to this one, but I feel like this dynamic’s also applicable to Lesbian! Guy & Honey

• Blake & Bestie: Highschool Situationship. Lesbian canon event I fear…they definitely were thinking about eachother after they distanced. The first lesbian relationship is always the messiest 😭

• Porter & Treasure: Classic Masc & Femme dynamic. I just think it’s fitting for the two!! BUT in this relationship consider Femme! Porter and Masc! Treasure. ESPECIALLY after that argument from the most recent video…something girlkisser was in the air. Also think Femme! Porter struggles/used to struggle with comphet sometimes and it leaks out conversationally from time to time 💔

Asher has excessive body hair all over his body. When David hit puberty and got taller and a deep voice, Asher, albeit a little sad that he couldn't bully one of his favourite people in the world, was excited to see what puberty would do to him. However, instead of getting a few more inches of height, he got hair. Lots of it. He was a bit insecure about it at first, but he grew to not give a shit about it eventually.

Anton is an avid crocheter and Love has a few crocheted plants he made them on their desk. He did try learning how to knit, but he got really frustrated with it and never picked up a pair of knitting needles ever since.

Lovely does origami to calm their nerves down and has a small stack of sticky-notes they carry around everywhere in case they get stressed or anxious. They have a bunch of random paper cranes and other origami creations around their living space bc why not. They're currently trying to make 1000 paper cranes.

Damien is a slut for Math problems. He was top of his advanced math class and really enjoys solving math problems, when he understands them that is. The rest of the crew don't get the appeal, especially Freelancer, but they support him and his weird tendency to try to find patterns in everything anyways.

Sweetheart doesn't take proper care of their health and would go days without eating, especially when they have work they are set on finishing. Milo (obviously) has picked up on this and has resorted to making up excuses to get Sweetheart to eat, like saying he can't finish his food and giving it to them for them to finish it for him.

Hush doesn't understand the concept of collections. He thinks getting something, wether you pay for it or not, just to put it on a shelf and just simply have it or stare at it is counter-intuitive.

Freelancer picks at the skin around their fingernails subconsciously when they're overstimulated or anxious. To fix this, Caelum and Gavin wrapped colorful bandages around their nails to stop them from picking around them.

Guy has an abundance of silly goofy random ass socks that he was been collecting for years. From toe socks to socks with ducks to sushi socks to socks with socks to socks with cocks, he's got a whole corner of his wardrobe dedicated to housing all his beautiful socks.
