A Mouthful of Cum Helps the Medicine Go Down
Male Surgeon DILF Yandere x Gender Neutral Reader CW: Nonconsensual oral sex, reader sucking that dick like they are the Gluckgluck 3000, somnophilia, non descriptive surgery, gun violence, blood, recovery, dream sequence, happy ending, mild age gap, dating Word Count: 1.3k (Written as a birthday gift for a friend, all written in a few hours yesterday, so I am sorry for any errors.)
The date you had just finished with Doctor Michael Hayes had gone pretty well. He was handsome and well put together, neat and tidy, and his personality definitely fit with what you had been looking for. In fact, you already set up another one with him at his request. Evidently the older gentleman, an actual surgeon, had felt the date had gone well too.
The evening kept replaying in your head. His rugged but charming demeanor, his eyes full of experience but still flashed with a sense of adventure whenever he stared at you. Maybe he was the one! After a deluge of slobs, bums, and selfish toxic freaks the thought that you may have found the man for you was like a breath of fresh air.
And he was just so handsome! A bit older, maybe mid to late forties, but he was definitely aging gracefully. You had to admit you definitely had some lewd thoughts about where you wanted his dick. In the texts the two of you had shared you had really felt a connection with him and had built a solid friendship but tonight solidified that it would evolve into something more.
You pulled into your driveway, just getting home after sharing your meal with Hayes. You drew your coat close, shivering from the sudden exposure to the chilly night air. You closed your car door with a thud and started walking up the path to your door, the thin layer of snow crunched beneath your steps as you did so.
A dark figure cloaked in shadow jumped out from one of the hedges that hugged the front of your house. A loud bang. Piercing pain. On the ground. You saw your blood leave you as the snow drank it greedily. Then darkness.
////
You were unconscious as the doctors rushed around you, zipping you to the operating room, communicating over your injured body about your condition.
Doctor Hayes was back on duty after your date, that’s why it had been so quick, otherwise he would have liked to spend more time with you. He was already sure the two of you would end up in a long term relationship. You just fit together far too well. It wasn't just one date, the two of you had been chatting for just over a month before meeting. You were a high ranked and well regarded detective and he was a surgeon, you both saved lives and you were both incredibly busy, so it took a while before the two of you could set up a proper date.
He was determined to see you again soon though. Only he didn’t realize that it would be on his very operating table. It certainly was not how he had wanted your next meeting to go.
It was touch and go a couple times, but luckily the bullet had missed your heart. The procedure was a success and full recovery was soon expected. Though a coma was medically induced to give you time to heal properly.
Even though you were pretty much out of the woods Hayes still held your hand and sat by your side during every free moment that he had. He heard from the cops, who were very eager to find the perpetrator, that they suspected you had been shot by an inmate that had been put away thanks to your detective work who had recently escaped. They had already caught the fucker but were just working on gathering evidence and getting a confession.
At any rate you were safe now with him, he wouldn’t let anything happen to you. Over the course of a couple days with you out like a light he had taken to just staring at your face, so peaceful in rest. Like an angel. He fantasized about the things the two of you would do while you recovered. The life you might have in the future.
And, occasionally, how it would feel to slip into you. He had played it cool during the chats the two of you shared and during your date but he was terribly obsessed with the thought of being with you, even masturbating more than once to pictures of your face that were available on social media.
One late night after his shift he found himself with you in your room and couldn’t help but stare at your lips. They looked so supple and he couldn’t help but think to himself that they would feel amazing wrapped around his cock. He gently traced your lips with his thumb and actually considered for a moment pulling out his dick and using that instead.
He quickly brushed the fantasy aside though. Until he heard you very quietly, but very clearly, mumble his name in your sleep in a lusty way.
Hayes’s resolve broke in the face of temptation. After that how could he possibly resist? He quickly locked the door and brought his cock to your lips. The best he had hoped for was rubbing it on your lips then jacking off until he came on your mouth.
To his surprise you opened your mouth and began sucking it in a way that could only be described as eager. He had to double check to make sure that you were truly asleep. He moaned involuntarily as you took him in his entirety, expertly twirling your tongue around his cock head as you sucked him off.
The surgeon stroked your hair, letting you go at your own pace as you blew him.
////
In your dreams you had just gone on another outing with Hayes. It had gone even better than the first and he had come back home with you. After some time spent on the couch snuggled up with one another as you streamed some show that neither of you paid much attention to you ended up with your head on his lap and his cock out in front of you.
You sucked it happily, starting on the tip and making your way quickly down the shaft. Normally you would have taken your time, but you were spurred on by his encouraging moans and the sensation of him absently stroking your hair.
You sucked a bit faster in anticipation of your prize. And you were well rewarded with what you sought. His cock throbbed in your mouth as it gushed with cum. You gladly swallowed every drop before smiling and going back to innocently laying your head on his lap as he put away his manhood.
////
This dream had coincided with reality, it wasn’t even necessary for the doctor to clean his cock as you had swallowed every trace of what he had just done. He briefly felt regret but pushed it away, the two of you had chatted about sex before anyway, it was only a matter of time before you would be on his dick anyway. And it didn’t seem like your sleeping self had minded very much at all.
When you woke up a few hours later, groaning from pain and being informed of your situation by none other than Hayes himself who by wild coincidence was your surgeon, you couldn’t help but imagine the taste of cum in your mouth. As if your dream had been reality.
When you found out that Hayes had spent so much time at your side while you were incapacitated you were truly touched. What other man would do that after just a date and a month of chatting online? It went far beyond the duties of a doctor.
That was the tale of how your long lived romance with Hayes started, and you definitely made the dream you had come true many times over the years, never aware of what he had done while you were recovering.

KlonnieWeek: Arranged Marriage
AN: If you’ve seen the movies Beastly or Penelope I’d think you’d love this piece. From a future fic!
Klonnie AU: Klaus curse is freed in the 90s but at a cost. Eighteen years later on Bonnie’s birthday. The Mikaelsons come to collect their brother’s bride.
“I still can’t believe you, Abigail!” Sheila scolded, not being able to bear the sight of her child as they walked up the mansion steps. “Bonnie, baby, we will fix this. Okay?” Sheila says, rubbing circles on Bonnie’s back.
“Mother,” Abby begged, wiping tears from her eyes. “When I went to defeat Mikael to protect Elena my body was so weak… I just needed something to take the edge off.”
“Every substance abuser says that,” Sheila rolled her eyes, face-palming. “Practicing other than your own is addictive! I knew, you were too obsessed with your herbal garden in your teens.”
Bonnie was tired of the excuses her mother made. No matter how Abby tried to soften her words, the story always sounded the same. Her mother wanted to help Miranda, and save Elena but doing so meant battling her own urges. Sure, Mikael had been defeated, but her mother couldn't resist getting involved in darker magic and making deals with the devil while under the influence. Elijah and his ancient herbs must've sounded like heaven to her addict mother in the nineties.
The Mikaelsons' family home was enormous, featuring freshly cut shrubs, pristine gardens, and a large fountain at the center of it all. Bonnie was convinced that their driveway wrapped around the entire house. The garage was equally massive. While the place exuded prestige, she could feel the magic pulsating within the grounds.
When the door opened, it revealed a cunning yet glamorous blonde vampire. She was poised, but her eyes had the coldness of a killer. Her smile appeared safe, yet it held a deadly undertone, reminding Bonnie of the parts of herself she kept hidden from others.
“Pleasure to meet Ayana’s descendants,” the young-vampire greeted, shaking hands. “And you may call me Bex. We will be in-laws.” Rebekah grinned, full of excitement.
Grams and Abby were not on good terms regarding the formalities. Although they politely greeted Rebekah, they quickly shifted to business matters. Bonnie attempted to silently wave at the vampire, but Grams firmly pushed her hand down. From Bonnie’s perspective, she might as well get used to her situation since a blood oath wasn’t something that could be easily broken.
“How can this blood-oath be broken?” Sheila asked, folding her arms. “My granddaughter cannot marry your brother.”
“I do formally apologize, Ms. Bennett,” another vampire emerges from downstairs. Tall, muscular, clean- grey suit and expensive cologne too match. “You’re daughter, I see now free of her habits promised her child’s hand. It is not my fault she signed an oath under the influence.“
“I made a mistake!” Abby snapped, pursing her lips together. “I would like to offer myself to the hybrid.”
Bonnie gasped, turning her head so fast her honey-blonde hair smacked Grams in the face.
“Why would we offer you to our brother?” Rebekah questioned, circling the elder witch. “You think we have not tried countless witches before your daughter?” Rebekah laughed at Abby’s foolishness before turning sternly. “You did remain loyal to your child, you will treat our brother worse.”
Bonnie gently steps aside as a heated discussion between her family and the Mikaels emerges. All defined by loyalty and the burdens of a blood oath unfolds around her. She feels a pull in her heart, drawn towards the unknown man peacefully painting in the garden, where she hopes to find a moment of solace and understanding. There he was, her future husband.
“You’re not even going to greet me?” Bonnie questioned, shoving her hands into her pockets. “This marriage sucks already! Am I right?” she jokes, shrugging her shoulders.
The unnamed hybrid stepped away from the canvas, a poignant figure in disarray. His grey sleeves were rolled up, and splashes of orange, yellow, and red paint adorned his shirt, telling a story of struggle and passion. In that moment, Bonnie felt a deep understanding of why his family had forged a blood oath to help him. He was caught in a challenging transition, marked by his appearance—lycanthrope fur softly covered his arms and ears, and his nails were sharp and fierce, hinted at his inner turmoil. His blonde curly hair rested against his shoulders, and Bonnie noticed how fascinating his amber eyes were. Nothing like his brother and sister.
Needless to say Bonnie was intrigued. He was rather unique.
“My name is Klaus but I presume you were informed that you could heal me?” the hybrid asked, stepping toward the witch with an air of detachment. He couldn't help but grin at the sweet scent that lingered around her, from her hair to her skin. Being caught in mid-transition heightened his senses. ”Did my relatives mention the others? You are far too young for this.”
“Telling me stories about the women from your past won’t help our situation,” Bonnie says confidently, smacking her lips. “Do you think I wanted to be married off at eighteen? No! I barely got to celebrate my birthday, and this is impacting my college plans and my future! How dare you act so rudely right now!”
Klaus grinned at the young witch’s outburst. Her magic encircled them, and if she wasn’t in control, he was sure she would be choking him while laughing at his suffering. Nonetheless, the others were too terrified to look the beast in the eye. Bonnie stood up to him as if he were just anyone else in the world. She had fire and passion, and perhaps she was the key to ridding him of the wretched form he had been cursed with.
Bonnie was frustrated with her circumstances. She groaned at the thought of a marriage to a man who didn’t want her. Instead of engaging further, she decided to leave Klaus alone with his painting and whatever else he chose to do. However, Klaus quickly moved to stop her before she could get too far. He was grateful for his vampiric speed, which never failed him.
“I should not have spoken to you that way, Bonnie.” Klaus says, easing his hand against her face. He tucks a honey-blonde strand behind her ears. Shocked that Bonnie didn’t swat him away. The other women never allowed his hands to come near them. “If the curse is broken, we can divorce. You can live your life as you choose.”
“Really?” Bonnie questioned, with wide eyes. “You mean that?”
“Of course, we both get what we desire that way.” Klaus nods, admiring how Bonnie grinned for the first time since stepping foot in their home. “Would you like a blood-oath to honor this?”
Bonnie snorted, disagreeing immediately. “I never want to hear the words 'blood oath' again,“ she laughed a little too loudly and covered her mouth. “Can I sit out here with you? I don’t want to hear—“
Klaus patted the empty stool where his canvas was allowing Bonnie to stay. She was the first who wanted to stay near him.
“If it makes you feel better,” Klaus says, picking up his paint brush again. “I a product of my mother’s deception,”
“Klaus, how will that make me feel any better?”
“Oh, love, the story gets worst,”
“Alright, hybrid,” Bonnie says, folding her legs on to her lap. “Tell me about you then.”
“Only if you do the same, witch.” Klaus pauses, turning to gaze at Bonnie again. Her beauty was so ethereal, her bronze skin made her bright hair pop, her emerald eyes were marvelous, her grin and laughter was pure
Through Bonnie’s determinate and courageous act. She unknowingly gave him inspiration for his next painting as she told her story.
Maybe this arranged marriage wouldn't be the worst. This time around.

My new years babe would be Lloyd Hansen
✨✨✨
Anger, disgust and homicidal thoughts were your first - and long lasting - reactions to the news of being promised to the mafia's main hitman, Lloyd Hansen.
He wasn't one of the Underbosses, but his position was high and considered esteemed. Not to mention his riches, which your father regarded even more worthy than the connection itself.
Being promised in your early twenties was a sentence, but at least the marriage itself wasn't a set date. Not for a few years. And that was Lloyd's decision, not your family's.
If your father had a say in it, he'd let Lloyd wed and bed you the day after they shook hands on that engagement.
Years to simmer in your annoyance were enough to come to terms with your future. though always chaperoned in some way, you had the opportunity to spend time with Lloyd and get to know the psychopathic maniac a little better.
He was lethal and he felt zero remorse. He was also quite vain. But also had a sense of humor that made you snort, didn't mind you going to the parties as long no other man touched you, and brought you souvenirs from his trips all over the world.
The promise of joining him on some of those trips was alluring, too. It meant you wouldn't be only cooped up in the house, pretending you liked wifely duties.
So at least your future would be a fun kind of torture.
That is, until Lloyd flipped everything upside down.
By kidnapping a Bratva bride right from the altar and marrying her himself.
It was a slap to you and your family. One demanding a bloody vendetta.
But who would go against a skilled killer. Especially, since it was obvious Lloyd didn't simply go rogue against the Capo's preferences. No, to go against the Bratva in such a way, Lloyd needed the permission.
He clearly got it. Which meant that retaliation would be going against the Capo's orders. It would end in wiping out your whole family and your father knew that.
What he didn't know yet - not until the sleek, black car stopped on your driveway and the Capo himself stepped out of it - there was a special plan unfolding.
Your father liked to think of himself as skilled in the inner mafia games, but he was too self-centered for that. He didn't even remember details that were important in the grand scheme of things.
But you did.
You remembered that Andy Barber asked your father for permission to take you out on a date when you were seventeen. And your father refused. Not only that. He said your virtue was sacred to the point of being unworthy of brushing by even hand holding with someone, who wouldn't be worthy of marrying you.
Your father didn't know at the time yet, that Andy was going to become the Capo. Later, he forgot all about the young boy, probably never even connecting the dots that the man who killed his way to the top was the same who asked for a date with you.
You remembered, though you assumed Andy put it in the past, since he was the most powerful man in the whole organization. Especially, when he gave his permission to arrange your marriage with Lloyd.
As you watched him take a seat in your father's office, he caught your eyes briefly, before the door to the office was closed.
That moment you knew, that when Andy walked out of your father's at office, you would be announced his.
And no force would save you from clutches of the Capo himself.
You wondered, if the whole engagement to Lloyd wasn't a scam from the start. To make your father stew in his comfortable notion of success then to punish him and you both, by offending you the way your father offended Andy all those years ago.
Oh, look! Anger and homicidal thoughts returned!

Saudade: Losing Audrey Part I
Tumblr media
Audrey's removal was temporary...
...He pulled into the driveway and turned off the vehicle but didn't get out of the truck. He felt disconnected from his body and couldn't make any part of himself move.
"Jon?" Shawn put his hand on his shoulder and gave him a shake. "What happened in Feeny's office? Where's Audrey?"
He wasn't prepared to answer these questions. He wasn't prepared to shatter Shawn's hopes for the future.
Jon stared at the windshield and wondered when it started raining.
"Jon. You're freakin' me out. Where's Audrey?"
"Gone." His voice was thick with emotion, and it was hard to get the word out.
"Gone?"
"Feeny knows."
Shawn sat back and frowned as he studied his teacher. "How much does he know?"
"Everything," Jon sighed despondently. "Except that I was gonna propose next month and that we were gonna adopt you."
He tipped his head back over the top of the car seat and stared at the ceiling.
"Hmm," Shawn replied, rubbing a finger over his lips. "So, he doesn't know about Saturday?"
"No."
Shawn nodded, unsurprised. "When is she gettin' back?"
Jon flinched at the question. "She isn't."
Tumblr media
..."Man's gotta god complex," Shawn remarked rolling his eyes. He turned sideways to face Jon and rested his arm on the back of the seat. "Who died and made him Audrey's dad? Last time I checked, Pops was still kickin'."
Jon snorted in distaste at Shawn's word choice regarding Richie. "George thinks he knows best."
"Maybe in school stuff." Shawn paused to watch his teacher's pained expression. Jon was taking this incredibly hard. It surprised him when, by Shawn's estimate, it was only a few weeks they'd be without her.
It wasn't ideal but it also wasn't a tragedy.
A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.
Jon's got it so bad for Aud, he thought gleefully.
But his teacher wasn't smiling, so Shawn didn't tease him.
Instead, he said thoughtfully, "The school year's almost over. What's Feeny gonna do if we take off to New York as soon as the last bell rings? Call the cops and report us for intent to form a family?"
Tumblr media
"My office now, Mr. Turner. I do not care what you are doing. I do not care what state of dress you are in. My office.  Now."
Jon felt the way Shawn looked: sick and helpless.
"Can I ask what this is about?" he ventured, bracing to be yelled at for insubordination.
"You lied to me, Mr. Turner," he replied with disgust. "You told me there was no romantic relationship between you and Miss Andrews. You have fifteen minutes to get to my office or I will come to you. And you do not want that."
The sound of the receiver dropping roughly into its cradle echoed in Jon's ear as he tried to wrap his head around the unspoken threat in Feeny's words.
"What?" Shawn jumped to his side and grabbed him by the shirt sleeve.
Numbness settled over Jon.
"He knows."
Shawn was positive he could feel Jon's fear and it made him shudder.
"He knows what?"
"Everything."

Chapter 1: Privet, my wife.
Tumblr media
You watch your reflection on the tainted car window, the air conditioner cooling down the humid summer of Japan. The car takes a calculated turn to the right.
"Y/n, you seem nervous."
you turn to your mother, her h/c hair woven in an elegant hairstyle.
"I'm...not. It's my duty," you say, repeating your father's words.
You recall your father's stern monotone as he reminds you of your duty as the child of the leader of a particular mafia.
The alliance between two brutal outlaws- the guy called Minegishi and your father.
As decided, you were offered as a spouse to one of his most trusted and closest advisors.
"you know how this world works, y/n." your mother reaches with her tinder hands to encase yours.
"And, I'm quite sure if anything happens, your father will deal with it." your mother continues, a small smile on her face, yet sadness laces her e/c eyes.
You nod in understanding when your mother reaches with her delicate finger, tucking a stubborn h/c lock behind your ear.
"we're almost there, Mrs. Family name." the chauffeur declares to your mother.
"This is it,y/n. Remember, you're a Family name. Act like it." your mother lets go of your hands and adjusts in her seat, her face contours into a cold, firm façade.
You look back at your reflection in the window; the cherry blossom trees pass by as your e/c eyes scan your graceful attire.
Within a minute, the car slows down by a grand house. Men in black tailored suits surround the car as the chauffeur drives the car through the driveway.
You regard Minegishi's men interacting with your father's goons.
The car finally stops in front of two men chatting with each other, surrounded by their mobs.
Two men reach to open the doors for you and your mother,
"There you are, Mother's name. I'm sure you know Minegishi by now." your father's grounded voice welcomes your mother before Minegishi and your mother exchange greetings.
You stand there watching in silence when you feel a set of eyes on you. He stands behind Minegishi in a firm stance; his two wavy white locks contrast with his jet-black hair.
His deep blue eyes lock with your e/y ones, and he singles for you in a courteous nod.
"Y/n, the child of the Family name. A pleasure to finally meet you." Minegishi's voice brings you back to the three individuals you're mostly familiar with.
"Pleasure is all mine, Mr. Minegishi," you reply with a smile.
"Shall we go inside then," your father requests while everyone follows behind.
You glance at the rigid blue-eyed man and find him observing you in return.
Swiftly, you look elsewhere as you enter the house, the wooden floor squeaking underneath the weight of all the people on it.
You sit on the comfortable dark couch alongside your mother while your father is back chatting with Minegishi.
"Roshan, come here." Minegishi's cold voice rings in the room.
"so my future husband is called Roshan," you think to yourself,
When a man slips out of the group of men outside and into the room. His confident gait exudes danger while his sapphire eyes glance at you before he stands by Minegishi.
"Meet your future wife, Y/n of Family name."

Truffle Hog
Ship: Mark Hoffman x Svente Kramer [Butcher's Market AU]
Word Count: 821
Summary: Exploring this concept more/giving it an official AU; John dies like in canon and is survived by his apprentices/associates, including Amanda. In this particular snapshot, sometime after John's death, Svente insists on a "funeral." After the funeral, Mark takes him home, and things get... questionable. CWs for themes of death and grief, dealing with grief in an unhealthy way, brief suggestiveness toward the end.
Tag List: @canongf @futurewife @rexscanonwife
Tumblr media
Svente was the one who insisted on a “funeral.” A lower-than-low-key meeting between John’s closest associates to reflect on his death and regard the future without him. The ex-wife, the doctor, the detective, the reformed junkie, and the religiously devoted lover, together in the cold and damp basement of an abandoned building. All dressed in black, two of five openly weeping.
Jill knew the only people who wanted to be there were Svente and Amanda. She was there to support them, and Lawrence and Mark had likely only shown up because they knew to avoid crossing Svente. Of course, she was grieving, too, but she had decided John’s death was not worth tears. Quiet words were spoken, hands squeezed, coffee feverishly drank out of bland paper cups. After what seemed like a trivial hour, Lawrence finally made some kind of excuse to disperse and the others followed suit.
Svente found oinkself being guided out of the basement and into the grey afternoon by Mark. Then they were at his car. “You’re going to be okay, Reeves. You’re resilient.” Its maiden name. “John always talked about your strength.”
“I was strong because of him.” Its voice was raw.
“Just because he’s gone doesn’t mean you stop being strong. Amanda’s more liable to snap than you… you’ll simply bend.”
“What if it all falls apart without him?” Svente began to hyperventilate, “I can’t. I can’t, without him, I’m nothing, and this group needs a fatherly hand to guide them or it will be like fucking herding cats!”
Mark’s large hands engulfed Svente’s shoulders, his tone becoming more aggressive, “You think panicking is going to help, Reeves?”
He turned his deer-in-headlights gaze to Mark’s tanned and bull-like face, his topaz eyes glinting. They felt weak. They couldn’t stop themself from placing their icy hands on the sides of Mark’s neck, index fingers firmly under his jaw. “You could do it. As John’s husband, I ask you to. Promise me you’ll take up the mantle. Promise me.”
Mark made a quiet gasp of surprise. “Do you want me to take you home?”
“Promise me.”
He sighed and pried his hands away from his neck. “I promise. Get in the car.”
Svente did as instructed. When they wound up in his driveway, he began to tremble. “I can’t. It will be too quiet.”
“I thought you liked it quiet.” Mark got out of the car and opened the passenger side door.
“You don’t know what it’s like, living with someone for so long. You hear them living.” One step. John’s breathing. Two steps. His footsteps. Three steps. John making coffee, or tea, in the kitchen. Four steps. The sound of his body sinking into bed. Five steps. The subtle squeak of his wheelchair. Freeze. Mark’s voice, at first muffled.
“Svente, it’s raining. You need to move.”
Mark’s arm around his waist, forcing him towards the front door. “That was John’s name for me.” Robotically, they unlocked their front door.
“You didn’t hear me when I called you by your first. You’re better known by that pet name, anyway.” They went inside.
Mark had only ever been in John and Svente’s duplex twice. It was quaint and sweet, almost giving the innocence of a grandparents’ house, especially when Svente was baking. It didn’t smell of bread or muffins today. It’s stark contrast against John and Svente’s work and belief system bemused Mark, but what else could he expect?
“Keep calling me that,” Svente instructed. They took off their coats and placed them in the entryway closet. Svente wandered into the living room and Mark slipped into the bathroom, shortly returning with a towel. He tossed it in Svente’s lap, but when they didn’t move to dry themself off, he did it for them. It happened so suddenly, their lips passing each other softly. Svente wasn’t sure it had actually happened until they were chasing Mark’s warmth, leaning after him when he had pulled away. He dropped the towel beside them and kissed them again, more seriously this time. Svente’s hands ran hesitantly over the smooth, black silk separating Mark’s skin from his own, fingers whispering over his chest, up his arms, and cascading down his back.
Mark placed his knee between their legs as the kiss became more heated. Deep down, he knew this was wrong. This was taking advantage of Svente’s grief, its uncontrollable desire to feel whole again after the biggest loss of its life. The towel slid from the couch. Svente moaned softly. At first, he couldn’t make it out, then his senses became clear and sharp as it reached him.
“John, John, John,” Svente half-gasped, new tears spilling down his cheeks. Mark backed off, handing Svente a handkerchief before putting the towel in their bedroom. Svente sprung to his feet and followed Mark before pushing him out of the room and slamming the door shut behind him. Mark sat quietly on the couch.

Rewatched Fly Away Home on a whim da other night
Tumblr media
as a kid i remember that the villain of the movie being this asshole park ranger guy who just shows up and wants to take away the geese
What the actual deal with him is as follows:
Him and the dad meet at a meeting where they're both protesting the destruction of the local marshes+farm land for housing development
movie makes it clear that these two are allies and that ranger guy is on the up and up.
when the geeses hatch, dad man goes to ranger man for help, inviting the dude to his house
Up till this point, the fuckin movie has given us absolutely no indication that ranger mans anything but a good guy+that nothin stinky is goin on wit him
its only when he approaches one of the geese to do a pinioning (which i won't get into but its worth reading about) that suddenly the movie decides it needs a villain and by god, its gonna be this poor man
babes, this dude had a whole ass monolog before this point explaining the law:
If these birds start flying as adults then legally he will have no choice but to confiscate them, because without parents to teach them how to migrate, they'll cause a heap of trouble for everyone and themselves
Trouble as in flying into powerlines, windows and other fatal goose actives
Tumblr media
picture of future trouble
Motherfucker is trying to help these people and out of the blue the kid LOSES HER DAMN MIND and clocks him on the head with a popcorn bowl while screaming like he's about to snap the goose's neck
then for some fucken reason the dad has some kind of break with reality and goes berserker mode and hurls this poor animal control employee out the door while bellowing GET OFF MY PROPERTY U SON OF A BITCH
it comes out of nowhere and is so jarring, like what the actual fuck???
and the ranger just is just standing there in the driveway, stunned
he's all like DUDE I'M TRYING 2 HELP YOU PEOPLE. THEY'RE GONNA MAKE ME COME TAKE THOSE BIRDS AWAY IF THEY START FLYING WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH U
but then the weirdest thing is that, like i said, the movie suddenly decided it needed a bad guy so it randomly turned him-
Tumblr media
like seriously this nice ass man is suddenly plotting from the shadows, ominous shots of him in the distance secretly filming the happy family frolicking with the geese
Tumblr media
picture of a bad man
theres this scene where he just approaches the daughter with her geese and is all like ho ho ho you and yer little geese'll be seeing me later and WHY o WHY is he suddenly so-
Tumblr media
then the mother fucker just breaks onto their property while everyone is out and just
takes the geese
no notice, no note, just nabs them
why?

Turns out John is not fine.
Tumblr media
But its ok, the power of a polite Vagabonds words spring the boy back up with enough energy to threaten the slime pogo with shaving cream. Once again John scales the wall, does what i can only call a Sonic spindash, and absconds into the office, knocking over an imps hat.
To keep the imps from entering, Rose drops and shoves the fridge in the doorway knocking over Nannas hard made cookies. But hey at least ehe fridge levels up!(???)
In the, relative, safety of the office, WV continues to talk with John using his newfound manners. Really quick turn around after finding that book huh?
Since John has, once again, trapped his PDA, Rose takes it upon herself to use the safe as a bludgeon.... by very unnecessarily dropping it from above the platform she created as it crashes through the roof back into the office.
Tumblr media
Could it be? The unabridges Sassacres??!!
No time to dwell on that though as Johnis spacing out pretty hard, oblivious to the happenings as WV tries to get a can opener from him. Not sure HOW John would get the can opener to you WV, seeing as you are in the far future, but I see you have your priorities.
Seeing John through Roses perspective though is hilarious. She probably thinks John is losing his mind.
Tumblr media
Speaking of WV... we jump to the future and see them... eating... the pages?... of the book??? Its an... interesting... way to gain knowledge.
And with a future page comes another FAQ update. This time Rose has taken the time to screenshot Johns game happenings. Each one comes with a caption which i will note important/funny bits.
Acknowledging continued power despite severed lines. Posits "a powerless house to be a handicap less in keeping with spirit of game's principal statement of challenge".
Same with the internet but also says could be compromised by "Something like, oh, let's say hackers." (👀)
Tries to be smooth about what happened with the car, "when I returned, the car was nowhere to be found, and the driveway-plateau was in a state of disrepair". Geez i wonder what could have happened?
Tumblr media
Amazing.
A quote sans author I will look into regarding John and his valient Pogo Steed.
Regarding the existance of Colonel Sassacres book in the safe, "Another one of these things. Really, Egbert family? Really?"
Dads room being nothing but static? Even with the power of Sburb, Rose is not omniscient. Since John hasnt seen the room Rose guesses she cant either which is super interesting. How does the game know this information? Presumably John Has been in Dads room before or at least seen a glimps in his time living there right? Itd be odd if he hasnt.
Safe to say i am with Rose. I am itching to see what the designix does. I am on my knees John. The curiosity. It grows.

Original Work: The Investigator
Warnings: implied kidnapping to be explored in future installments, disappearances
Words: 1097
Note: this is way longer than most of my other posts, but I wanted to try a more substantial story with my own characters. This is also just going to be a collection of whump tropes I particularly enjoy, so I hope y’all like it too!
Owen had sent the message to his consultant around two in the morning, when he absolutely should’ve been sleeping. But, instead, he was hunched over his computer as usual, multiple tabs open with deep web pages and unmarked files he’d personally found.
This is happening too much to be a coincidence. There’s a pattern here.
Owen opened up his map program again, marking out every disappearance he’d been told about in the last six months. Every victim—they ranged in age and background, Owen couldn’t observe a pattern with them—was last seen in the same area, a long stretch of road across town with an array of local businesses and offices. He knew the street, it was only a few blocks away, but he couldn’t remember the last time he’d actually been there. The authorities had written all of them off as runaways, they had mostly dismissed all of them. But what were the odds of so many people, in so many circumstances, going missing in the same place?
Owen mumbled to himself, resting his head on his hand. “There’s no way. No way.”
He scrolled through the map, watching the road as it moved further and further south into a huge stretch of woods. Miles and miles of empty land, nothing but trees and a single road separating them.. Until—
Owen stopped when he spotted a building from overhead, zooming in and squinting. He typed the address out to his companion, sending it along with a screenshot.
This looks like an old cabin or something. What can you find?
His friend replied within minutes. Evidently, they also couldn’t sleep.
This guy owns it, he’s been real active in the search parties. Owns a big chunk of the land out there. Some kinda survivalist guy, runs a blog about it.
The investigator looked over the link his friend attached, reading the basic information of a social media page. “Benjamin, huh?” He mumbled to nobody in particular. “Looks like he’s got the only property on this road. Guess he won’t mind if I take a look around.”
I’ll head down there tomorrow. Maybe he can answer some questions about what’s going on.
Dude, what if he calls the cops?
I won’t do anything illegal, relax. Just a friendly guy coming by to ask about the area.
You’re not gonna break in again?
That was one time, okay? I swear to god, no break-ins.
Owen did manage to get a few hours of sleep after that, driving out to the cabin a few hours into the morning. Even with the summer warmth and bright sunlight, the expansive forest was beginning to creep him out. He could easily see how people went missing in this—if you lost sight of the road, you could absolutely find yourself stuck in an endless loop of trees and rocks and soil. No distinguishing landmarks, no breaks in the trees to civilization. Whatever search parties went through here, Owen could imagine they might have missed something.
When he pulled up, the house looked well loved. Hydrangea bushes in the front, colorful and watered, a very nice-looking vintage truck in the driveway, and a (somewhat tacky) Memorial Day sign hanging on the front door.
Owen awkwardly knocked on the door under the sign, his jaw shifting as he heard someone fiddling with the lock. The man who opened the door regarded him with a smile.
Owen’s first thought was that he looked like the photo he’d seen—pale, with light brown hair and a thick beard and eyebrows. His eyes were dark, but they looked kind, and Owen felt at ease for a moment.
“How can I help you, mister…?”
“Uh—hi. I’m, uh…Owen Jones, I’m a private investigator. I just had a few questions about—“ He gestured to the forest surrounding them. “The area, I heard you might be familiar with it.”
“Of course! Not to boast too much, but—“ The older man smiled wide. “I’m probably the most familiar with these woods.”
Owen smiled, his expression naturally warm and approachable. “That’s great. I’ve been tracking a couple…disappearances, recently. One of the victim’s families really hopes I can find an answer, you know?”
“Of course, of course. It’s been really tragic, I’ve been helping the police look for all those people. You seen the last one? Poor girl, young. About your age, I think, really horrible. I’ve still been keeping an eye out, myself.”
Owen frowned, nodding in agreement with his words. “Yeah, I did see the woman who just went missing. It’s happening a lot, so—I guess I just need to know if you’ve noticed anything suspect. Anything at all.”
The homeowner rubbed his jaw in thought. “Not that I’ve noticed, unless you count the occasional bear sighting. Some weird noises at night, maybe? But I could be hearin’ things.”
Owen nodded, his hand twitching a bit as he listened. “Well, I’ll give you my card…just in case you do hear anything. Maybe we can stop the next incident, right?”
“I’ll certainly keep an ear out.”
The younger man glanced back at his car, wincing. “Hey—could I use your bathroom before I go? Long drive back.”
Owen blinked slowly as he washed his hands in the cabin’s bathroom, glancing between his hands and his reflection. “Well…this was a whole waste of time, but at least he’s nice.” He frowned, remembering his previous experience with a very angry and very intense mechanic who had once threatened to kill him for daring to ask questions on his property.
As he smirked to himself at the memory of the man’s face, his eyes drifted to the window. The house had a small backyard, a little space of grass before the endless ocean of trees. It seemed nice—a fire pit, a single lawn chair and a bird feeder. But Owen’s eyes locked on something that seemed out of place, under the colorful lawn chair.
A dark metal circle, flat against the ground. It was just barely peeking out from under the chair, but it was unmistakable.
Owen’s mumble was barely audible. “What the hell…?”
He was heading for the front door a few minutes later, adjusting his blazer over his shirt as he walked out. “Thanks for talking with me, Benjamin, i appreciate it a lot!” A canned spiel Owen had said hundreds of times, the friendly words were automatic and (hopefully) convincing. He typed out a text message to his associate, finishing and sending it before he was back in his car.
I’m coming back tonight, something didn’t feel right. I’ll need you to drive in case it goes wrong.

January ⛸️ 2024 Monthly - Cancer
Whole of your energy: 2 Wands
Beautiful energy in the preshuffle, you’re feeling confident, attractive, ready to leap into a brand new beginning that you see as 10 Cups, everything you’ve ever wanted. The Star 💫 shows you feeling like this is your path, it’s being lit up for you by the universe, there’s no confusion or chaos, just excitement and anticipation. Possible weddings, pregnancies, & babies for some of you, or hearing news about this from someone close, like a best friend or sibling that you get to celebrate with. In meditation, it was one of my own memories, but one that makes me feel all warm & fuzzy inside. My second year married, there was a huge blizzard where we lived - it was non-stop. So we all bundled up & shoveled the driveway as a family, and laughed at our toddler climbing giant piles of snow & leaping off, she was in love with snow ❄️ We were frozen, and it was hard work (several feet!), but it was a great day. Family bonding and happiness is what I’m seeing here. Hopefully not blizzards but if that’s what floats your boat…I wouldn’t complain 🙃
You’ve had The Empress come out again, heavy Taurus energy here, along with The Hierophant, 10 Cups at the bottom. The holidays seem to have really put some pep in your step when it comes to family, marriage, relationships, the future, moving forward. 2 Wands is clarified by 7 Swords & The Magician. This is a sneaky energy, but it’s like you wanted to avoid this, maybe have been avoiding family, future talk, really committing to things, being around for holidays and even afterwards. But after you do, or have, things changed. It’s like a part of you was pretty disconnected or detached for awhile, probably in a routine or grind in your own world, didn’t even want to bother with people or holidays. Weird for Cancer, you guys are usually the more family oriented types. I see you did it anyway, showed up anyway, and in spite of any avoidance or hesitation, you’re really happy. Like Spirit is saying “told you so” 😌, with love.
What’s going on in January:
The Empress:
The same beautiful energy from the preshuffle is the first card out in your reading 🩷 Clarified by 10 Pentacles, 10 Cups on the bottom. Some of you are having babies, or someone close to you is. It’s possible someone is getting married, maybe renewing vows, there’s an anniversary, something really special that’s centered around love & family. You’re either hearing about this from whoever it’s regarding, or you’re the one sending messages to others about this, could be invitations. Everyone is getting together to celebrate happy occasions, and that’s helping you heal something. Your own marriage, relationship, maybe some past hurts where family are concerned that don’t exist anymore. If not family, definitely business, these cards can show growth being manifested into your life, a higher position or more money coming your way (or a partner’s), and celebrating that. This is a level-up, a glow-up, whatever it’s regarding.
4 Swords rev:
You’ve healed because of this situation, this group gathering, your happy family, or a business, happy news shows a happy Cancer. For some, you were single, independent, perfectly fine with that but it became a burden over time - you wanted your 10 Cups. Knight of Pentacles at the bottom can show a lot of time invested into your relationships, or having waited a long time to find what you have now. If work, you’re receiving your hard earned flowers from a long time of putting in the work. Whatever this is, you fully deserve it & should enjoy it to the fullest. I see that you are/will 💜
The Hierophant:
In love, this is deep commitment, marriage, the contractual tradition of uniting souls under God or whatever religion/culture you are a part of. In career, this is any important business/company, they are official, morally above board, this can be a role of teaching or mentoring, education, any government level positions, there’s a certain level of standards to meet and commitment necessary to be within Hierophant territory. You’ve avoided this before now, because you weren’t sure whether it would just be a repeat of the same, I do see disappointment and sadness, maybe regret, in the past. Could be this person/job, could be something else entirely. There’s a “last time” feeling, like last time you tried you got burned, maybe I don’t even want this, what if it’s the same as it was, or turns out the same way?
Knight of Wands:
Clarified by The Lovers and Knight of Pentacles. For work, something is coming in quickly that’s taken a long time to get to this point, whether an offer, you being expected to take action, having more money or getting that promotion. For love, it could be a spontaneous fling that turns into a whole family unit, - and you never saw it coming. But it’s good. Maybe you wanted to take it slower and things didn’t work out that way. Or maybe you tried to move fast the whole time and only now the other person/company is on your page…but you hesitate. Are they tricking you? Do they/you really want this? Is this real? The Sun at the bottom, no matter what lane this is regarding, I see you being happier than you’ve ever been, it’s real.
6 Pentacles:
Mutual give and take, whether affections, finances, effort, communication, commitment, depends on your own story, but it’s been paused for awhile, you’ve needed to contemplate your situation. What you want, what you don’t want, how likely it is to be real, I keep getting that. Knight of Swords is communication, clear thinking, taking action on what’s known to be true and speaking your mind on things, he also cuts through any confusion to get straight to the point 💯 You could’ve been waiting on news, or someone else to tell you what you need to hear, before acting or giving to a situation. If someone’s having a baby or has good news, you could be giving them a gift, rushing towards them. There *was* hesitation, but I don’t see that continuing, whatever you’ve needed to see or hear before making your decision to move forward, has already happened, or will soon. Now it’s just moving forward.
Signs you may be dealing with:
Heavy Taurus & Libra, Gemini, Virgo, Aries & Sagittarius
Oracle: ✨
7 Reunion of Souls 🫶
There is a school of thought that says before our souls come to earth, we make contracts, or agreements, with other souls. At one point in time, we appear in each other’s lives to assist in those involved in learning a lesson, being a catalyst for a needed change, or to share in profound joy. When a person comes into your life to teach you a lesson - no matter the human form, no matter the human experience - this agreement is based in love.
The human experience may have been painful and extremely challenging - acknowledge the depth of love needed for this contract to take place and then let them go. The experience may have been profoundly moving, but ended abruptly and without reason. Again - be grateful and move on - cherish the lessons and move forward into your life the way it was meant to be. Alternately, this card signifies a profound “soulmate” relationship, whether it is between lovers, friends, or parents and children. Cherish the gift given.
We enter into January as:
Royal Purple Brick 🧱
“She resists what she clings to.”
The fear of stepping out, of being abused, has grown so great that you no longer need a wall of fear to prevent you from living - a simple brick will do. Which of course symbolizes that what frightens you is much smaller than you imagine. What we resist, we cannot heal. Royal Purple Brick appears when we are resisting something, and may indicate a loss of faith. This is a sign of fear holding you back in some way and preventing you from moving forward. If you are experiencing pain, holding on tighter will only worsen the situation. Fear may also indicate you’re trying to save yourself from a path that will not serve you! Are you following your true passion? Is it divinely guided?
This can also indicate presently using your energy in a self-defeating way. Use your courage to let go of control and allow Spirit to come in and heal you. The promise of Royal Purple Brick is freedom after surrender. In letting go you may feel some discomfort, but you’ll also allow healing in. The fear of something is always greater than the actual event. This time period will be a life changing experience for you. Accept mystery. Release the brick and be free.
What is to be learned in January:
She Shaman 🧝🏾‍♀️
“I will guide you to your muse.”
She Shaman whispers to you “Do not be like the old birch and wait for anyone else to tell you of your muse. Connect with it!” This is your destiny calling. The path you have chosen is an artistic one. The universe is waiting for you to begin your dance and express your love in a tangible art form. The time is now, the moment has arrived, it is a time for decisions to be made. Dance! Rejoice! Do not seek council outside of yourself to confirm what you know to be true inside. Do not wait for permission to act. You must trust your instinct and act from the voice within. Let go of any need for approval, your answers are within. You will not be alone, Spirit is with you.
Wine may be a lucky color 💜❤️

Explore the Top Services a Drainage Company Provides
Tumblr media
Are you wondering what exactly a drainage company does? When should you call one instead of a plumber? What kind of problems can they solve? If you've ever dealt with a blocked drain, a soggy garden, or an overflowing manhole, you know how disruptive drainage issues can be. And while many people assume plumbers handle all pipework, a drainage company specialises in much more than just unblocking toilets. Let's dive into the essential and often overlooked services that a professional drainage company provides — services that not only resolve emergencies but also prevent them from happening in the first place.
1. Drain Unblocking (Internal and External)
It is one of the most common reasons people call a drainage company. Whether it's:
A clogged kitchen sink
A blocked toilet
Or an overflowing outdoor gully
Drainage companies use high-pressure jetting, electro-mechanical tools, and drain rods to clear stubborn blockages fast. Unlike DIY fixes, their methods reach deep into pipework. Therefore, ensuring complete removal of fat, grease, roots, or foreign objects.
2. CCTV Drain Surveys
Are you not sure what's causing that recurring drain problem? A drainage company offers CCTV drain checks using waterproof cameras fed directly into your pipe system. These surveys:
Identify cracks, collapses, or misalignments
Locate root intrusions
Pinpoint hard-to-reach blockages
Once recorded, these reviews help property owners plan repairs, assess property purchases, or even prove damage in insurance claims.
3. Drain Repairs and Pipe Relining
Not every issue is a simple blockage. Sometimes, damaged or collapsed pipes require more intensive repair. A drainage company can provide:
Excavation and replacement of broken pipes
No-dig pipe relining, which reinforces existing pipes with minimal disruption
Drain patching to fix small cracks or holes
These services prevent leaks, flooding, and foundation damage without tearing up your garden or driveway.
4. Surface Water Drainage Solutions
Are you struggling with a waterlogged lawn or patio after heavy rain? That's where a drainage company steps in with land drainage services, such as:
Installing French drains or soakaways
Regarding surfaces to improve runoff
Fitting guttering and channel drainage systems
These outdoor solutions prevent pooling water. They reduce the risk of structural damage and improve the usability of your garden or commercial property.
5. Emergency Call-Outs (24/7 Drainage Services)
Drainage problems don't stick to business hours. Most drainage companies offer round-the-clock emergency call-outs for urgent issues like:
Sewage backups
Flooded basements
Burst underground pipes
They arrive fully equipped to resolve issues on the first visit, minimising damage and stress—whether it's 2 AM or Christmas morning.
6. Drain Cleaning and Maintenance
Prevention is always better than cure. That's why many property owners invest in regular drain cleaning services from a professional drainage company. These services:
Clear grease, debris, and scale accumulation
Reduce the risk of future blockages
Improve flow and drainage speed
It's an excellent solution for restaurants, landlords, and large families looking to maintain clean, odour-free systems.
7. Commercial and Industrial Drainage
Commercial properties often have more complex drainage systems. A professional drainage company is well-equipped to handle them. Services can include:
Grease trap installation & cleaning
Drain mapping & asset management
High-capacity drain jetting
Drain compliance assessments and certifications
From restaurants and shopping centres to warehouses and office buildings, drainage companies ensure systems are up to code and function efficiently.
8. Pre-Purchase Drain Surveys
Are you thinking of buying a new home or commercial unit? A drainage company can carry out pre-purchase drain surveys to:
Reveal hidden drainage defects
Avoid costly surprises
Strengthen your bargaining position
It's a small investment that can save thousands in post-sale repairs.
Final Thoughts
Drainage companies offer far more than just clearing toilets. From cutting-edge diagnostics and repair work to emergency services and long-term maintenance, they're essential for keeping your property's drainage system flowing smoothly and safely. Whether you're a homeowner, landlord, or business owner, hiring a trusted drainage service provider gives you peace of mind—and ensures help is never far away when things go wrong. Is Tree Service Covered by Insurance in Lakeland, FL?
Tumblr media
Many homeowners in Lakeland, Florida, wonder whether their insurance policies include coverage for tree services. This question becomes particularly relevant in a state known for its severe weather events and abundant tree canopy. Understanding what your insurance policy covers regarding tree services can help you prepare financially and make informed decisions about tree care on your property.
Tree Service Coverage in Florida Insurance Policies
Insurance coverage for tree services in Lakeland depends largely on the circumstances surrounding the tree issue and the specific details of your policy. Florida insurance carriers have particular guidelines that determine when tree removal, trimming, or other services qualify for coverage.
When Insurance Typically Covers Tree Services in Lakeland
Storm Damage Scenarios
Lakeland experiences significant weather events throughout the year, including hurricanes, tropical storms, and severe thunderstorms. When trees fall due to these weather events and damage insured structures on your property, your homeowners insurance will typically cover:
Removal of the tree from the damaged structure
Repairs to the damaged property
In some cases, the complete removal of the fallen tree from your yard
Florida insurance policies generally recognize that storm damage is beyond a homeowner's control, making these situations legitimate claims.
Lightning Strike Damage
Trees struck by lightning are common in Lakeland due to Florida's status as the lightning capital of the United States. If lightning damages a tree to the point where it threatens your home or property, insurance often covers its removal as a preventative safety measure.
Vehicular Accidents
If a vehicle crashes into a tree on your property and damages it, your homeowners insurance may cover removal costs. In some cases, the driver's auto insurance might be responsible for coverage instead.
Fire Damage
Trees damaged by fire that pose a hazard to your property are typically covered by standard Lakeland homeowners policies under fire protection clauses.
Access Blockage
If a fallen tree blocks access to your home—such as covering your driveway or preventing use of your front door—most Lakeland insurance policies will cover removal costs, even if the tree didn't damage any structures.
When Insurance Typically Doesn't Cover Tree Services
Routine Maintenance and Pruning
Regular tree trimming, pruning, and maintenance are considered homeowner responsibilities rather than insurance matters. These preventative services help maintain tree health and safety but fall outside the scope of insurance coverage in Lakeland.
Pre-existing Tree Issues
Trees that were already dead, diseased, or unstable before a storm might not be covered if they fall. Insurance adjusters in Florida are trained to recognize pre-existing tree conditions that indicate negligence on the homeowner's part.
Natural Tree Drop
Trees or branches that fall due to age, lack of maintenance, or normal deterioration without damaging insured property rarely qualify for insurance coverage in Lakeland.
Preventative Removal
If you want to remove a healthy tree because you're concerned it might fall in the future, this is considered preventative and isn't covered by standard insurance policies.
Florida-Specific Insurance Considerations
Hurricane Deductibles
Lakeland homeowners should be aware that Florida insurance policies often include separate hurricane deductibles. These typically range from 2% to 10% of your home's insured value and apply specifically to damage caused during named storms, including tree damage.
Documentation Requirements
Florida insurers typically require substantial documentation for tree-related claims, including:
Photographs of the damage
Documentation of the tree's condition before the incident (when possible)
Professional assessment of the cause of tree failure
Multiple estimates from licensed tree service companies in Lakeland
Coverage Limitations
Most Florida policies limit coverage for tree removal, often between $500 and $1,000 per tree, with maximum limits per incident. These limits can be particularly challenging in Lakeland, where large oak trees or palm trees might cost more to remove.
Tree Types and Insurance Implications in Lakeland
Lakeland's urban forest includes several tree species that present unique insurance considerations:
Oak Trees
The massive live oaks common throughout Lakeland can cause significant damage when they fall. Due to their size and the complexity of removal, costs often exceed standard insurance coverage limits.
Palm Trees
Palm trees affected by lethal bronzing disease or other tree diseases may be considered pre-existing conditions not covered by insurance. Florida insurers are increasingly aware of palm diseases and may exclude coverage for trees showing symptoms.
Pine Trees
Tall pine trees are susceptible to wind damage during storms. Insurance typically covers their removal only when they damage insured structures or block access.
Steps to Take When Trees Damage Your Lakeland Property
Ensure safety first – stay away from downed power lines or unstable trees
Document everything with photographs and videos before cleanup begins
Contact your insurance company promptly to report the damage
Prevent additional damage when possible (cover roof damage with tarps, etc.)
Get multiple estimates from licensed tree service companies in Lakeland
Keep all receipts related to emergency tree work or temporary repairs
Preventative Measures Recommended by Florida Insurers
Insurance companies encourage Lakeland homeowners to take these steps to prevent tree-related claims:
Regular Tree Inspections
Having trees examined by a qualified tree professional helps identify potential issues before they become hazards. Many Lakeland tree services offer inspection services that can spot warning signs of tree failure.
Pre-Storm Preparation
Before hurricane season, Lakeland residents should have trees properly trimmed to reduce wind resistance and remove dead or weakened branches that could become projectiles during storms.
Appropriate Tree Selection and Placement
When planting new trees, choosing wind-resistant species appropriate for Florida's climate and placing them away from structures can reduce future claims.
Immediate Attention to Tree Health Issues
Addressing signs of disease, pest infestation, or structural weakness promptly can prevent denials based on pre-existing conditions.
Questions to Ask Your Insurance Provider
Lakeland homeowners should clarify these points with their insurance companies:
What specific tree-related incidents does my policy cover?
Is there a separate deductible for hurricane-related tree damage?
What documentation will I need for a tree-related claim?
Are there coverage limits specific to tree removal?
Does my policy cover tree replacement after a covered removal?
How does my policy handle tree damage to fences, pools, or other external structures?
Cost Factors for Tree Services in Lakeland
When insurance doesn't cover tree services, or when coverage limits apply, Lakeland homeowners should understand typical cost factors:
Tree size and height (large oak trees can cost $1,000-$3,000 to remove)
Tree accessibility and location on the property
Equipment needed (crane removal versus standard techniques)
Additional services such as stump grinding
Seasonal demand (prices often increase after major storms)
Emergency service premiums (after-hours or immediate response)
Finding Qualified Tree Services in Lakeland
Whether covered by insurance or not, choosing qualified tree professionals matters. Look for companies that:
Have proper licensing and insurance specific to Florida requirements
Employ certified arborists trained by the International Society of Arboriculture
Provide detailed written estimates
Have experience with Lakeland's common tree species
Can provide local references
Follow industry safety standards
Offer proper disposal of tree debris according to Lakeland regulations
Working with Insurance Adjusters
When filing tree-related claims in Lakeland:
Be present during the adjuster's inspection if possible
Point out all damage, including less obvious issues
Provide any documentation of the tree's condition before the incident
Share professional opinions from certified arborists
Understand the difference between actual cash value and replacement cost coverage
Be aware of time limitations for filing claims in Florida
Conclusion
While homeowners insurance in Lakeland does cover tree services under specific circumstances—primarily when trees damage insured structures due to covered perils like storms—routine maintenance and preventative care remain the homeowner's responsibility.
Understanding your policy details, maintaining your trees properly, and working with qualified tree professionals provides the best protection against unexpected expenses. When severe weather strikes, knowing exactly what your insurance covers can make the recovery process smoother.

Your Complete Guide to Products Offered by Concrete Suppliers in Melbourne
Concrete suppliers in Melbourne are essential when building a house since there are various materials that are required and one can get all the materials at the same place. There are a number of concrete supplies available like premix concrete, exposed aggregate, etc and each has its own use in the building and construction industry. Apart from concrete, there are many other building materials that are required by the construction sector for successfully constructing any building.
Brief of Concrete and Allied Products for the Building and Construction Sector
Premix exposed aggragate is a concrete product that is generally supplied in trucks or mini-trucks by the leading suppliers and is used in the construction of many major building areas like slabs, pools, paving, waterproof concrete, and many other areas and construction things.

When it comes to creating coloured concrete, versatility is key, and this option can be applied to both residential and commercial projects. It’s perfect to use on your driveways, patios, and walkways, so property owners can put their personal touch on their outdoor spaces. Concrete is coloured with high-quality, UV-resistant pigments, so your colour will last well, even in extreme weather. Yet another plus with this concrete type is that it includes the same strength and durability as normal concrete, and is regarded as practical and stylish.
Decorative surfaces of exposed aggregate concrete are popular because they offer a textured, slip-resistant finish. This is the material, removed from the top layer of cement paste to reveal the natural stones underneath. Because of the diversity in stone colours and sizes, a custom design is possible and is low maintenance.
Concrete construction relies on steel reinforcing, an important element to provide tensile strength for keeping cracking and future structural stability at bay. Concrete slabs, footings and walls are commonly supported by reinforcing bars and mesh. This reinforcement adds strength to concrete as it can withstand heavy loads and external pressure, greatly increasing its life span. For any major construction project, high-quality steel reinforcement is of the essence, guaranteeing safety and durability over time.
Contact the leading companies offering various concrete and construction suppliers and get all the products at the right time.

What Are the Benefits of Investing in a Weekend Home for Sale?
Tumblr media
Introduction
Urban life is getting hectic, so people are looking for ways to unwind, recharge and reconnect with nature without compromising comfort. One trend that continues to gain momentum is investing in a weekend home; a peaceful retreat located just outside the city hustle and bustle.
A Weekend Home for Sale offers more than just a real estate investment. It brings lifestyle benefits, long-term value and even potential rental income. Whether you’re looking for a place to escape on the weekends or want to expand your property selection, a weekend home could be the ideal solution.
Let’s explore the key benefits of investing in a Weekend Home for Sale, especially for those looking at new locations like North Bangalore.
1. Perfect Work-Life Balance
The most immediate benefit of owning a weekend home is the ability to leave city life whenever you need a break. With remote work becoming the norm, many professionals choose to work from their second homes. This provides for:
A peaceful work environment with fewer distractions
A chance to relax with nature
A better balance between work, health and leisure
If your weekend home is within a two-hour drive of your primary residence, it becomes a nice and convenient getaway.
2. Smart Investment with High Appreciation Potential
Properties on the outside or in fast-developing suburbs often come with lower initial investments. However, with infrastructure expansion, these areas see significant value over time. For example, a Weekend Home for Sale in North Bangalore could gain value rapidly due to ongoing infrastructure projects like new highways, metro connectivity and tech parks.
This means that your second home doesn’t just offer leisure it also builds wealth.
3. Rental income opportunity.
When you’re not using your weekend home, it can be rented out on platforms like Airbnb or to long-term tenants looking for serene locations to live in. This can help:
Offset maintenance and utilities costs
Generate passive income
Increase your investment return
Locations near popular attractions, hills, lakes, or popular weekend destinations are most popular in this regard.
4. Improved health and wellness
Being close to nature reduces stress, improves mental well-being, and encourages physical activity. Owning a weekend home surrounded by greenery encourages:
Regular outdoor activities like walking, gardening, or meditation
Healthy eating habits with access to fresh local produce
Quality sleep and reduced screen time
For families, it also means more bonding time away from digital distractions.
5. A Personal Space Tailored to Your Needs
Unlike hotels or rented villas, a weekend home is yours. You can design the space to reflect your style and include amenities that suit your lifestyle, such as:
A home office or creative studio
A garden or organic farm patch
Outdoor deck or pool?
This creates a space that truly feels like a retreat or a second home designed just for you.
6. Long-Term Retirement Planning
Many people buy weekend homes not just for short-term use, but also with long-term plans in mind. A weekend home can easily be transitioned into a retirement home in the future. Here's why this makes sense:
The peaceful environment is ideal for a post-retirement life
Property maintenance becomes easier over time
It offers familiarity and an emotional connection after years of regular visits
If chosen wisely, the property could serve as your dream retirement destination.
7. Lower Cost Compared to City Properties
While buying a primary residence in the city can be expensive and competitive, weekend homes in smaller cities or developing regions tend to be much more affordable. This means you can get:
A larger plot size
Better amenities like gardens, open space, or private driveways
High value for money
Even in areas like North Bangalore, weekend homes are still reasonably priced but are poised for rapid development.
8. Escape from pollution and noise.
City living often comes with its own set of issues like noise, pollution and overcrowding. A weekend home in a quiet area offers a sanctuary where you can:
Enjoy the clean air
Hear nature's sounds instead of traffic
Enjoy privacy without cutting off essentials
It’s the right place to unplug, unwind and reset your mental clock.
9. Ideal for Family Bonding and Entertaining
Weekend homes are great for hosting friends and family. From holiday celebrations to impromptu weekend events, having your own private space means:
No stress hotel bookings
An environment that's safe and familiar for kids and the elderly
More meaningful memories are created together.
It becomes more than a house it’s a hub for experiences and relationships.
Conclusion
A Weekend Home for Sale is more than just a luxury. It's a smart, multipurpose investment. There are endless benefits to changing your lifestyle. If you're considering buying a second home, now is the perfect time to explore options in popular areas.

How To Sell Your Junk Car In A Fast Hassle-Free Way?
Tumblr media
Although getting rid of an old car may make one feel overwhelmed, it is actually not such a complicated process at all. It doesn't matter if the car is totally dead, it has a malfunctioning odometer, or it has just run its course; transforming the old girl into cash is a nice and easy process. There are all sorts of options for selling that get to convenience factors but without all that unnecessary haggling.
Step 1: Determine the Condition of Your Car
It is important to evaluate the junk car removal in Melbourne before selling it and determine if the car is within normal limits with regard to:
Does it run? A running vehicle typically brings a better "ask" price.
Any damages? The body, the interiors, and the missing parts; all have to be thoroughly examined.
Do I have your documents ready? The very fast sale of a house is done with titles and paperwork.
Step 2: Choose the Best Selling Option
Private Sale: Junk car removal in Melbourne when sold privately, takes the longest but goes usually for the most. Selling to a buyer directly can be worth it if your car is decent because it takes so much effort.
Scrap Yard: If your car is beyond repair, you can scrap it for its value in metal; however, the payout is usually minimal.
Junk Car Buyers: The easiest and fastest option. These buyers pay cash on the spot, tow your car for free, and take care of all the paperwork.
Step 3: Get the best Offer for junk car removal in Melbourne
Ask for several quotes and compare.
Negotiate: they might be willing to revise their offer up.
Consider selling valuable parts separately to earn more cash.
Step 4: Carry out the Sale
After you've accepted an offer:
Remove personal items from the car.
Give the seller keys and documents.
Cancel insurance and inform the DMV about your sale to avert liabilities in the future.
Closing Statement
Ready to say goodbye to that junk automobile? Call buyers for a cash for car in Melbourne today and experience the quickest sale ever without any headaches! Who knew selling junk cars could actually be fun? Get paid cash and free up the driveway in a snap!
