HCs:
When he finally meets the rest of the Todorokis, Sero makes sure to be extra nice to Rei and uses higher honorifics for her and Sho's siblings over her husband.
He also befriends Fuyuumi and Natsuo instantly.
Slowly warming to Touya only after he starts being nicer to Shouto.
When they first started dating, he used to wait for his boyfriend to iniate contact as to not want to make him feel uncomfortable.
Only Shouto was also waiting so they talked about it and now they're usually close and casually affectionate to each other; they're just not big on PDA. Unlike some people. a.k.a. Touya and Keigo!
Seroroki headcanons for the soulllllll
I've actually considered the future of seroroki for so longggg I'm so excited and also just thinking of the beginning of them is like everything to me. I love it sm.
Them being tentative with each other in the beginning, blushing messes ahhhhhhh
Also also also
Toukei would become absolutely insufferable after becoming official like. You think they're bad now? Nah man. Just wait till they don't have to put on a show, their affection just comes naturally I am going to claw my walls apart

A Deep Dive into Some Deep Thoughts
A Deep Dive into Some Deep Thoughts
In preparation for sharing this post with you, I read an abundance of powerful quotes, interpreted, researched, and included ways to implement their value into your life, or at least that was my intent. It is my hope that you are able to draw your own interpretations and meaning, and most importantly, apply what serves you to improve your mindset, your circumstances, and the quality of your life.
“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” – Thomas A. Edison
Interpretation: It is quite easy to quit once resistance or obstacles present themselves, and move on to another endeavor, to most assuredly repeat the same process. Think about how different your life would be if you gave up when things got hard. If you are blessed with the ability to walk, I can assure you that you did not accomplish that on your first try. You are reading or listening to this post right now, which means you endured the undoubtedly challenging process of learning a language. Sure, you might take for granted talking and walking, but what if you applied the same tenacity to learning and mastering anything you choose to spend your time doing?
Implementation: Go into any experience, with the mindset that you are ready to learn, ready to fail, and most importantly, ready to move forwards and keep trying no matter what you face. Anything less than your best effort, is a squandering of your time, and time is your most valuable resource in life. If you are going to do something, do it well and with a sense of pride, no matter how small or big the task is.
Deeper Dive: Check out the article below to see how individuals like Thomas Edison embodied the power of second chances, and an unquenchable desire to succeed. How different our world would be if Thomas Edison gave up on his ambitions and ideas?
12 Successful People Who Faced Extreme Hardship But Never Gave Up
_________________________________________________________________
"It is far better to be alone than in bad company." George Washington
Interpretation: The people you choose to surround yourself with, greatly determine the quality and direction of your life. Choose wisely, and learn when it is best to disengage, and walk your own path. There is a powerful sense of peace that comes with enjoying your own company. Once you are able to do so, you will not seek validation or approval from others, and will appreciate your time with those who actually deserve it.
Implementation: Think about the relationships in your life, especially the ones you have chosen to invest your time and heart into. Do they reciprocate your efforts within the relationship? Do they inspire you to grow? Do they bring peace and comfort into your life? Does the relationship consistently provide a meaningful and mutually positive experience for both sides? Take the time to ask yourself these questions and evaluate who you spend your time with accordingly.
Deeper Dive: Check out the article below for some great insight on navigating friendships and making good, informed choices in your life.

_________________________________________________________________
"The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change: the realist adjusts the sails." William Arthur Ward
Interpretation: Think about the last time you complained about something. While spending your time and energy on complaining, did a solution emerge? It is far more likely that clarity came when you decided to stop complaining and began thinking about a solution or reframed your perspective on the situation. The pessimist has a negative, fixed mindset regarding the wind which serves little purpose. The optimist's perspective, although positive, lacks action which will often not get them to where they aspire to be. The realist evaluates the situation, identifies what they can control, and adjusts their actions accordingly.
Implementation: Next time you are faced with a challenge, or uncomfortable situation, remember that wasting your time and thoughts on playing victim, or complaining about the circumstances, will not get you very far. Instead, believe there is a solution that you simply have not found yet, and focus on your energy on determining a first, logical, step you can take to improve your situation.
Deeper Dive: Check out the article below for interesting insight on pessimism, optimism, realism, and the importance of a balanced mindset in life.

_________________________________________________________________
"Don't be distracted by criticism. Remember, the only taste of success some people get is to take a bite out of you." Zig Zagler
Interpretation: Do not let other people's opinions of you determine your sense of personal value or impede your path to success. As part of my journey to becoming a life coach, I have posted my work on social media, knowing that I am opening myself up to potential criticism. Unsurprisingly, I have received some negative comments that provide no value or constructive feedback, and were written to just take away from what I am trying to accomplish. I paid them little thought and kept moving forwards. To clarify, you should be open to feedback as that will help you to make progress and refine your product, but you should evaluate the source and intent behind such input. The moment you stop trying to impress others and act out of a need of validation and approval; is the moment you learn that true strength and growth comes from within.
Implementation: Surround yourself with people you trust, you respect, and who will help you to learn and grow. Disregard intentionally harmful criticism and a need for validation, do your best to be your best, and be open minded to who and what you can learn from to assist with this process. Do not let negative people, or circumstances, keep you from getting to where you want to be.
Deeper Dive: You cannot avoid criticism, but you can learn to handle it in a positive and productive way. Check out the article below to do just that.
https://thearisesociety.com/how-to-handle-criticism/
_________________________________________________________________
"It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities." J.K. Rowling
Interpretation: Life is full of so many different things that are out of our control, however, it is what we choose to do with what we do have control over, that ultimately determines our quality of life. When you choose to continuously seek knowledge and ability, through education, practice, and experience, you are making an investment in yourself that can only help your cause. It is the hard working and resilient individuals that often find success over the naturally gifted. You are not determined by your current abilities and circumstances; you are determined by the decisions you make to change them. Remember that.
Implementation: Your thoughts determine your emotions, and consequently, the actions you ultimately choose to take. The key to changing your life, is changing your thoughts. Learn to think rationally and make sound decisions and choices that are most likely to result in positive change in your life.
Deeper Dive: Check out the article below to see how even the smallest, seemingly insignificant choices, and have a profound effect on your life.

Left Inside
Left Inside by Me
A collection of moments in the timeline between Touya Todoroki and Dabi.
You can keep what's broken but you can't have what's left inside.
Alternatively: How to escape your asshole of a dad and somehow end up with a chicken as a partner (boyfriend?) whilst trying to bring down hero society.
Guys I wrote my first fic in ten years I’m so emotional. This is the promised Dabi song fic from ages ago, and I’ve already got around 15k+ written for it....just not in the right order. Ahhhh it’s so weird to be posting fanfic again, but Hero Academia is so amazing.

La Corda d'Oro and its Saints Part 2: July to December
Here’s the second part of some of the characters from La Corda d'Oro, and here they are!
July 5th - Mari Tsuzuki
St. Anthony Maria Zaccaria: Italian confessor who was an early leader of the Counter Reformation, promoter of the devotion to the Passion of Christ, the Eucharist and the renewal of the religious life among the lay people, and is the founder of the Clerics Regular of St. Paul aka the Barnabites. Canonized as a saint by Pope Leo XIII in 1897, his major shrine can be found at San Paolo convent in Milan.
July 8th - Shiro Hozumi
St. Grimbald (Grimwald): Abbot and confessor from the Benedictine order. Although of dubious historical accuracy, the life of Grimbald was recorded in several volumes, of which the main source is referred to as the Vita Prima of St. Grimbaldi. King Alfred met Grimbald before his reign, and after his coronation invited Grimbald to England around 892. After he died in 901, he was venerated as a saint and confessor, and some altars were dedicated to him. He also figures in a number of legendary tales of Oxford.
July 25th - Ryoutaro Tsuchiura
St. James the Greater: One of the twelve apostles of Christ and is described as one of the first disciples to join Jesus. The Synoptic Gospels state that James and his brother John, were with their father Zebedee, by the seashore when Jesus called them to follow him. He is the first apostle to be martyred at the hands of King Herod Agrippa according to the Acts of the Apostles. The traditional pilgrimage to the grave of the saint, known as the ’Way of St. James’, has been the most popular pilgrimage for Western European Catholics from the Early Middle Ages onwards. An even later tradition states that he miraculously appeared to fight for the Christian army during the legendary battle of Clavijo, and was henceforth called Santiago Matamoros (James the Moor-slayer).
August 21st - Housei Toki
Pope St. Pius X: 257th bishop of Rome who reigned for 11 years, and is known for vigorously opposing modernist interpretations of Catholic doctrine, promoting liturgical reforms and orthodox theology. He directed the production of the 1917 Code of Canon Law, the first comprehensive and systemic work of its kind. He was devoted to the Marian title of Our Lady of Confidence; while his papal encyclical Ad diem illum took on a sense of renewal that was reflected in the motto of his pontificate and he was also advanced the Liturgical Movement as the only Pope to favor the use of the vernacular language in teaching catechesis, he encouraged the frequent reception of holy communion, and he lowered the age for First Communion, which became a lasting innovation of his papacy. After his death, a strong cult of devotion followed his reputation of piety and holiness.
August 26th - Keiichi Shimizu
St. Alexander of Bergamo: He is the patron of Bergamo, North Italy, as well as Capriate San Gervasio and Cervignano d'Adda. He may simply have been a Roman soldier or resident of Bergamo who was tortured and killed for not renouncing his Christian faith. Details of his life are uncertain, but subsequent Christian stories consider him a centurion of the Theban Legion commanded by St. Maurice.
September 3rd - Yukihiro Yagisawa
Pope St. Gregory the Great: 64th bishop of Rome who reigned for 13 years and is the last imperial Roman Pope. He is the first formally to employ the titles Servus servorum Dei (‘Servant of the servants of God’) and Pontifex Maximus ('greatest priest’). He is also establish the Gregorian chant and is known as 'the Father of Christian Worship’.
October 1st - Chiaki Tougane
St. Thérèse of Lisieux: French virgin, mystic, and nun from the Discalced Carmelites and is known for the monicker, ’The Little Flower’. She has been a highly influential model of sanctity for Catholics and for others because of the simplicity and practicality of her approach to the spiritual life. Together with Francis of Assisi, she is one of the most popular saints in the history of the church and she is called her 'the greatest saint of modern times’ by Pope Pius X. She is well-known throughout the world, with the Basilica of Lisieux being the second most popular place of pilgrimage in France after Lourdes. According to the Apostolic Letter, Divini Amoris Scientia (The Science of Divine Love), Pope St. John Paul II declared her the Doctor of the Church on October 19th, 1997.
October 17th - Shinobu Ousaki
St. Ignatius of Antioch: Early Christian writer, bishop of Antioch, martyr and one of the Church Fathers alongside St. Clement and St. Polycarp. He may have known the apostle John directly, and his thought is certainly influenced by the tradition associated with this apostle. En route to his martyrdom in Rome, Ignatius wrote a series of letters which have been preserved as an example of the theology of the earliest Christians. He is the second after Clement to mention the Pauline epistles.
November 3rd - Shoko Fuyuumi
St. Martin de Porres: Known for his monicker, ’Saint of the Broom’, he is a Dominican lay brother from Peru and is noted for his work on behalf of the poor, establishing an orphanage and a children’s hospital. He maintained an austere lifestyle, which included fasting and abstaining from meat. Among the many miracles attributed to him were those of levitation, bilocation, miraculous knowledge, instantaneous cures, and an ability to communicate with animals, hence his attributes that is saw in his holy card. He is the patron of hairstylists, mixed-race people, innkeepers, public health workers, and all those seeking racial harmony.
November 12th - Aoi Kaji
St. Josaphat Kuntsevych: Archeparch of Polotsk who martyred by an angry mob in Vitebsk Voivodeship in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (now in Belarus). Beatified by Pope Urban VIII and canonized as a saint by Pope Pius IX. He is known as the patron saint of Ukraine.
November 14th - Leiji Myoga
St. Lorcán Ua Tuathail (Laurence O'Toole): Irish archbishop at the time of Ireland’s Norman invasion, and is played a prominent role in the Irish Church Reform Movement of the 12th century and mediated between the parties during and after the invasion. In 1225, Pope Honorius III canonized him as a saint.
December 3rd - Arata Mizushima
St. Francis Xavier: Along with Ignatius of Loyola, he is the co-founder of the Society of Jesus (aka Jesuits). Known as the ’Apostle to the Far East’, he is one of the first seven Jesuits who took vows of poverty and chastity at Montmartre, Paris, in 1534, and led an extensive mission into Asia, mainly in the Portuguese Empire of the time and was influential in evangelization work, most notably in India. He also was the first Christian missionary to venture into Japan, Borneo, the Maluku Islands, and other areas. In those areas, struggling to learn the local languages and in the face of opposition, he had less success than he had enjoyed in India. Canonized as a saint by Pope Gregory XV in 1622, he is the patron saint of foreign missions. Pope Pius XI published the decree ’Apostolicorum in Missionibus’, naming Francis Xavier, along with Thérèse of Lisieux as co-patrons of all foreign missions.
December 12th - Kazuki Hihara
Our Lady of Guadalupe (Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe): A Marian title that is associated with a venerated image (in the form of a tilma by St. Juan Diego) enshrined within the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. On October 1895, Pope Leo XIII granted the image a Canonical Coronation. Since then the Virgin of Guadalupe has been proclaimed ’Queen of Mexico’, ’Patroness of the Americas’, ‘Empress of Latin America’, and ’Protectress of Unborn Children’. On July 16th 1935, she was also proclaimed ’Heavenly Patroness of the Philippines’ by Pope Pius XI both witnessed and signed by Cardinal Eugenio Pacelli, a designation he later rescinded in 1942 upon becoming Pius XII.
December 29th - Daichi Sakaki
St. Thomas Becket: English Archbishop and martyr who was well educated and quickly became an agent to Theobald, Archbishop of Canterbury, who sent him on several missions to Rome. Becket’s talents were noticed by Henry II, who made him his chancellor and the two became close friends. When Theobald died in 1161, Henry made Becket archbishop. Becket transformed himself from a pleasure-loving courtier into a serious, simply-dressed cleric. In 1170, four knights, believing the king wanted Becket out of the way, confronted and murdered Becket in Canterbury Cathedral.

My Review of Oreshura

…
Oh, who the hell remembers why I had this on my randomizer list? As long as it doesn’t have anything to do with the Fate franchise, I’ll watch it.

Eita Kidou is heavily focused on his studies and nothing else. Love? Pfft! Fuck that noise! He has no time for that shit and we can thank sucky parenting for that. A few years prior, his parents decided to divorce each other, get new partners, and ditch the family. So that’s why Eita chooses to study, so he can become a doctor, and not get involved in trivial bullshit of the heart.

And now let’s meet the new girl in school Masuzu Natsukawa. She’s beautiful and as a result, has been hounded by the boys at school to go out with her. I think she said it was like 60 times in two months. But Masuzu is much like Eita and wants nothing to do with love. And so she asks Eita to be her fake boyfriend to keep the horny rabble in class at bay. Two apathetic, aromantic teenagers together! Eita flat out rejected this until Masuzu blackmailed him. Apparently, she somehow got ahold of a journal that belonged to Eita and is going to use it to get what she wants.

Eventually, three other girls get involved in Eita’s love life including his childhood friend Chiwa, an even older childhood friend Ai, and Himeka who is in the middle of her chunibyo phase of life. Let’s see how long Eita stays single with four thirsty girls after him.
BETWEEN THE SUB AND THE DUB: Hmm…How old is this anime? Almost 9 years old. So chances of there being a dub is slim to none at this point. Ah, Yukari Tamura! It’s always good to hear her again and play a manipulative bi-atch. Here’s what you might recognize these folks from.
*Eita is played by Ryouta Oosaka (Cross on Pokemon I Choose You, Marco on Attack on Titan, Climb on Overlord, Naoto on Tokyo Revengers, Yuki on Tsuritama, Isogai on Assassination Classroom, and Sekke on Black Clover)
*Chiwa is played by Chinatsu Akasaki (known for Nurse Joy on Pokemon XY, Miitsuru on Fruits Basket 2019, Felt on Re:Zero, Alice on Food Wars, Airi on ERASED, Nibutani on Chunibyo, and Yoriko on Tokyo Ghoul)
*Masuzu is played by Yukari Tamura (known for Rika on Higurashi, Lizzie on Black Butler, Tenten on Naruto, Suzuha on Steins;Gate, Mei on Clannad, Nui on Kill la Kill, Kanako on Oreimo, and Nanoha)
*Himeka is played by Hisako Kanemoto (known for Ami/Mercury on Sailor Moon Crystal, Zenith on Mushoku Tensei, Erina on Food Wars [season 3+], Kururi on Durarara, and Squid Girl)
*Ai is played by Ai Kayano (known for Darkness on Konosuba, Menma on Anohana, Alice on SAO: Alicization, Sylph on Mushoku Tensei, Ryouko on Food Wars, Anna on The Promised Neverland, and Mayaka on Hyouka)

DISLIKED CHARACTER: You know, I’m just going to say it. I wasn’t a fan of nearly everyone in this series. But I seriously had a disdain for Masuzu and her younger sister.
SHIPPING: Okay, all of these women have 0% chance with this guy. Eita has no interest in falling in love. So let’s leave the dude alone and not put him through a harem.
Nah!

Eita x Chiwa: Chiwa is Eita’s childhood friend andOkay, it has to be asked.
DOES THE CHILDHOOD FRIEND EVER WIN IN THIS SITUATION? I am legitimately asking. They always poll high in many animes, but never get to be the winner.
I want to believe in this one though. Eita’s other reason for studying up to become a doctor in the future is in the hopes of one day curing Chiwa. Prior to entering high school, Chiwa was in a horrific accident that broke several bones in her body and forever preventing her from doing kendo or anything strenuous again. As for Chiwa, we know she likes Eita otherwise she wouldn’t have run out on him when Eita was happy for her getting a date with some other guy. Don’t worry, she gets over that and constantly butts in whenever Masuzu is too close to Eita.

Eita x Masuzu: Wow, you are such a manipulative bitch! Get a guy to be your fake boyfriend, blackmail him with spilling his embarrassing thoughts all over the internet, and occasionally read from his journal out loud in front of people just to torture him. Yeah, Eita isn’t that likeable but that’s just cruel. I know this is supposed to be the main ship of this harem, but I’m not a supporter of it one bit. Even Eita’s aunt can see she’s a two-faced phony.

Eita x Himeka: So Himeka isn’t formally introduced until halfway into the series. And all you need to know about this is if you’ve seen any episode of Love Chunibyo & Other Delusions, this is what this is. Because Himeka is a chunibyo! Something about Eita being her lover from a different time and yeah, don’t read too much into it. But it’s still better than Masuzu!
Eita x Ai: And around the same time we were introduced to Himeka the anime adds a tsundere! She secretly likes Eita so much that she plays hard to get by lying about having a boyfriend already. Not just that but forces her friend Kaoru to say nice things about her in front of Eita. This girl is pretty reachy! But as it turns out, Ai was actually a childhood friend turned tsundere. Yeah, she met Eita long before Chiwa did. But once her feelings are out in the open, Ai tries to get Eita to sign a wedding registration form.

IS THAT A JOJO REFERENCE: Watching this anime in recent ages, I was able to quickly pick out all the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure references. Masuzu is a big fan of the manga so it seems. But it seems that all the references only go as far as Part IV since this anime came out in 2013 and Jojo’s anime had only gotten off the ground with the first part. But at least they mentioned the Dio Brando kiss steal. Fitting since Masuzu’s little sister stole her first kiss with Eita.
ENDING: Let’s see how we’re going to end this! They’re shopping for bikinis so…Christmas festival? Pfft, ha! Yeah, it’s the infamous beach romp!

Unfortunately, the beach plans are at a stand-still due to lack of funds. And in comes Eita’s aunt whom we haven’t really seen up to this point. But she’s technically Eita’s guardian, so whatever. She meets the other girls (since she already knows Chiwa) and wonders who Eita has taken as a girlfriend. When Masuzu announces she’s the girlfriend, Eita’s aunt didn’t believe it. She can see right through this FAB. That’s right, FAKE ASS BITCH! In fact, she believes the tsundere (Ai) is a better fit. Hell, even the childhood friend and the chunibyo have a better chance. Besides the third degree this aunt is giving, she ends up allowing the kids to get their beach trip after all. But she wants them to help her as she’s a game developer. Apparently there’s an event where girls go on stage and confess their feelings to someone they love.

Now because of auntie coming in and mucking things up, we have a bit of a problem. Masuzu’s cracks are beginning to show because of what the aunt said. Others are starting to question how Masuzu and Eita ended up getting together. Even Ai got suspicious and almost caught on. As for Eita, it was time to choose whether he wants to have an actual harem or have a war breakout with all these women after him.
During the trip, Masuzu changed a bit in front of Eita. While she was still having manipulative thoughts like pressuring him to kiss her, that comment from Eita’s aunt was really eating her up inside. Eita ends up learning about Masuzu constantly putting up a façade in front of people in part thanks to her father. And the night before helping Eita’s aunt, Masuzu drops a bombshell on Eita. She will release him from being boyfriend and girlfriend at the end of the trip and even give him back his blackmailable journal. Masuzu found the page where Eita vowed to become a doctor to heal Chiwa. On the day of the event, Masuzu is nowhere to be found. Eita ends up talking to Masuzu’s little sister and gets a little insight into his fake-girlfriend. At the event, Ai, Chiwa, and Hime all say their feelings to Eita on stage, in a public setting.

But then Masuzu goes on stage and let’s out everything. And Eita runs on stage screaming about loving her or some shit…Yeah, my fuck level is at zero. You know where this review is going. Fake-ass girlfriend and Fake-ass boyfriend love each other and kiss on stage for everyone and all the girls to see.

In the aftermath of this, Eita has Masuzu for reals this time. Now to quell the brewing storm that’s about to hit after doing what he did on stage! All of those confessions and he goes to the girl who tried to blackmail him and use him as a shield, Goddamn! First, Eita tries to come up with some cock-and-bull story for Hime to take since she’s an easily to impress chunibyo. That backfired and made her love Eita more! With Ai, things got worse. He accidentally gets a paper cut and smudges a marriage certificate Ai has. And now Ai thinks that he stamped it and they’re going to get married. Chiwa…I know, she says something to Masuzu about waiting nine years or some shit.
God, this anime was blah. I’m trying to find the right word for this and blah is the only one I can think of. I wasn’t really a fan of this story or the characters or the shipping or really anything about it. This was just one of those animes I was just happy to get over with. Not because I hate it or anything, but I just found a disinterest in nearly everything. If you liked it, good for you. I’m an odd duck and my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt.
If you do want to watch this though, Crunchyroll has the entire series on their site.
