Seeing Gabbi start to cry made tears well up in her own, but she kept her confidence high, “I’ll come back for it, I swear! J-just look after it for me alright?” She could hardly keep her voice steady as she talked, her tail curling around itself as she kept on, “It’s really important it stays safe, so I thought I should give it to someone who’s really important to me...”

Alesia made her way beside the crying Sliggoo and leaned her head on her, “You know I wouldn’t leave you if I didn’t have to, but my friend might need my help... Plus, I know you’ll be fine, just look at how many amazing people you have around you. Working hard to protect you and this... place?”

“I wish I could assure you that I’ll be fine Gabbi, but you just have to trust me.”

Alesia moved closer to the Sliggoo who had her back to her. “Gabbi I- I don’t think you should come with me.” She sucked in a gut full of air trying to suppress her natural nervousness. “I don’t want you to get trapped there with me or hurt because of me.” Though her voice had gained confidence her tail still twirled around nervously behind her as she spoke, “I know you want to protect me but I think you would be in more danger than I am over there. Those humans don’t know you, but they know I’m pretty weak.”

She began struggling with her own little sweater, “But I do want you to... do something for me.” She was hardly able to get it to go any lower or higher on her body. “...Can you help me take this off?”
