A FRIEND AND I'S STEVEN UNIVERSE AU CHARACTERS.

Steven Universe has been my favourite show since 2019 when I properly watched it from start to finish. I remember crying when I realized it was over, it was such a beautiful show that has forever lived in my heart.

I created this Future AU in October 2023 with a close friend who had also fallen in love with the franchise. I created Tous/Peridot, and soon after, my friend came to me with this outstanding creative idea for a character of her own. That's when I helped her design Opalite, a one of her kind artificially made gem prototype. The AU I set quite a while after the death of Steven himself.

A very brief rundown of the AU:

Opalite was artificially made by the Diamonds through a new project process that was left to be developed by tech gems (like peridots) way back — a bit before pink diamond was announced shattered. With the late Era 1 materials they had, it was designed to use artificial materials for creating gems rather than using the minerals from organic planets. This would allow gems to be made on Homeworld with 100% designed perfection, and no loss of their decreasing materials along with other reasons to soon be discovered. 

The project was forgotten about through the SU saga until years after the man himself perished. It was discovered again during White Diamond’s overpowering thirst for a new era of conquering.

Opalite, the long-forgotten prototype design was already prepared to be tested…

Through the story she meets and becomes close to Tous — a funky little peridot who helps Opalite discover who she is in this empire, and universe.

During the story, Tous and Opalite end up fusing. The before and after story is… lengthy so use your imagination for now. They become the beautiful Labradorite.

Along with Opalite living as a high-class gem, she was given a pearl to take care of her. I don’t currently have a design for her :(

Comic Book Gem Monsters: UNCORRUPTED :)

Sorry it’s been a minute but I have been drawing a lot lately, I’ve got over 80+ gems drawn out I believe so I might go back to regularly posting! Anyways a little about these lesbians! In my HC these were all Crystal Gems (to make my life easier lol). Pearl for scale on the left!!

1. Sphalerite - fusion of a Citrine, a Nephrite, and a Bixbite. Very tall.

2. Idocrase - fusion of 4 unkown gems, not great at fighting but a pro at hugging.

3. Iridescent Goethite - very large bashful gem with a huge heart. Made to roll out material projectiles for cannons (cannonballs). Would rather roll in the grass.

4. Variscite - quick gem with strong caretaking tendencies. Used to be something like a gem nurse in Homeworld.

5. Jeremejevite - loves digging, in Homeworld she created holes to anchor down large structures to the ground. Now helps humans in construction.

6. Amazonite - originally an organic life biologist, now helps run the local animal shelter. She can also communicate with animals. Very fond of raccoons.

7. Andesine - used to be a scribe for court proceedings, now works as a writer.

8. Realgar - originally used for retrieval missions, now she works as a lifeguard!

9. Bowenite - made to be a historian and philosopher, now works as a gem history teacher.

10. Heulandite - small gem who can make it snow within a radius around her. Originally used to keep artifacts cool in warm colonies.

11. Viridine - incredibly feisty small gem with dashing abilities, her temper has since cooled and now works at the local library!

Rabbids in SU now...

aight another crossover I drew too much of... Clay is the OC gem species I made for rabbids. they're pretty small and useless (all the lore is in the images, I don't feel like reexplaining it all ToT)

of cores I did the Rabbid heros. being later gems they do got weapons and it's the same as their in game ones. accept Yosh, they got corrupted somehow. (I figure Lapis lived with a cracked gem because she formed with it so the only way it effected her was she couldn't sumon her weapon (her wings) so Yosh got no weapon)

and THEN I tried to make up more lore for the spark hunters... I tried to use the fact that fake clay is a thing to have the made rabbids work...

the main thing about this was the fusions tho. I love these fusions still

low quality them indivisually from twitter (I couldn't be bothered redoing the little backgrounds) I love this lineless style so much that I never drew in it again.

doodles. some other meta: cuz they're the same species they fuse easy but can internally fight allot. when any of them fuse with yoshi, his personality almost entirely takes over cuz the others aren't used to managing a chipped gem.

🫟 LARGE BLUE SPINEL 🫟

History: Not much is known about his past or how his components came to know each other to become a fusion; the few things that are known are that all of his components at some point were shattered (the yellow one was the worst) and fixed by the Crystal Gems at some point, and that the red one turned his gem. Step by step they have managed to stabilize their fusion (note how several of his limbs are around his body and the strange proportions of his body) although if he's upset, he can have personality changes until he becomes unstable, obtaining a grotesque physical form; they currently reside in a Blue Diamond's colony

Powers: He posses the standard gem abilities; he also has elasticity similarly to old-fashioned cartoons for almost everything, which he uses to help others in their daily lives.
