Nagi

Nagi and you were about to go home when you thought it was the best timing. He asked if you wanted to come with him to the arcade after school, so you obviously tagged along - never missing an opportunity to spend time with him. You love it too much, spending time with him even if you're not doing much.

But as you walked out of the arcade, a strange feeling took upon your heart and it was like you'll never be able to feel it again. You needed to take a step further. Or at least try.

You never felt more nervous. Your heart was racing inside your rib cage as you stopped in your tracks. Nagi turned around to look at you, puzzled as to why you would stop when you were whining a while ago about how tired you were.

Playing with your nails a little for you to build up your confidence, pushing away so scary voices in your mind telling that it will ruin everything. You finally look up to him, a small blush all over your cheeks.

"I really like spending time with you, much more than just friends ! Would you go with me ?!" You yelled without realizing it, closing your eyes as shame came along with your speech.

When you open them again, you're met with a rather lost Nagi. His head tilted to the side.

"Aren't we dating already ?" He asked, not even thinking twice when your blush worsened in an instant.

You were too shocked to answer, but if you weren't you would've hit his arm so hard. Yet thinking about it, it just makes sense for him to say that.

Taking a few steps toward him, you still hit his arm before taking it. "You know that we have to talk about it Together before it's settled?"

He hummed in response. Not adding anything but it was enough. You're already used to it.

Gagamaru

Your steps resonated in unison with Gagamaru's as you walked further into the lovely park you just found near your place. You never really had the time to take a walk to clear your head or just enjoy the good weather, but since you got closer to Gagamaru, you happened to spend a lot of time outside. It doesn't matter if it’s just walking in silence or happily talking about your interests. It can be in a zoo, around the town, deep into the countryside where he used to live. You just like it a lot, even more since he’s there.

It was always good to hear him talk about things he likes or how much of a nature lover he is. You’re always lull by his voice, calming your sometimes busy mind.

You lost track of how many times your hand brushed, how your heart skipped a beat every time or how you have to look away when he looks at you for a little too long and your cheeks get hot. You don’t remember the first time you started to long for it, a new “date” with him, but you for sure have a lot of feelings for him now. It was just so hard to talk to him with how oblivious he is.

Yet your hand brushed his once again and this time, the warm feeling didn’t stop as he took your hand in his, stroking your skin with his thumb from time to time. It was too much for your heart and mind. You pulled kindly on his hand, your eyes shyly looking into his. You didn’t let go but there was a step between you too, you could tell he didn’t understand what was up.

“I like you.” You didn’t need to think much. Those worlds flow down your mouth naturally, and you should’ve told it earlier. “Would you go out with me ?”

You felt relieved to finally say it, feeling your heart lighter and expecting a smile. Instead you were met with a frown. “I thought we were already dating !”

You blinked once, then twice before scoffing to yourself.

“When did you ask me out ?” you teased, taking a step closer. “I can’t remember well it seems.”

He felt flustered, you could tell by his avoidant look. Getting a little closer and getting up on your toes, you pecked his cheek. “So ? Will you ?”

No need to say that he was even happier after you asked him, in the end.

chuuya nakahara

very caught off guard the first time he saw/heard you stimming because he had no idea that was a thing. once you explain it to him he’s pretty chill about the whole thing — but if you have echolalia and he’s in a playful mood he may try and mess with you a bit (not to be mean he just thinks it’s funny, and thinks you’re cute when you’re annoyed with him)

thinks it’s cute as hell when you get super into a new hobby or piece of media and will spoil you to hell and back — doesn’t matter to him how expensive the merch/equipment/whatever is, you’re his partner goddamnit and he will make sure you have it!

also loves listening to you rant and infodump about the things you love so never feel like you’re getting ‘too excited’ or talking ‘too much’ because he will very quickly knock that idea out of your head. whenever he’s away on longer missions and the two of you are apart, he’ll ask you to hop on the phone for a bit or to send him voice notes about whatever niche facts you’ve learned and he’ll listen to them before he falls asleep (it helps him unwind and get over his homesickness for a while)

chuuya is a very attentive boyfriend by default and that extends well past just helping you tactfully avoid situations that could lead to discomfort or even outright sensory overload — it also involves him checking out any potential date locations well in advance to see what the lighting is like, whether they have foods you can safely enjoy, how busy they are, and so on. can’t have his partner feeling uncomfortable on a date now, can he?

not above threatening or even outright fighting people who try and treat you like a child or like you’re stupid because of your autism — he’s killed people for far less, after all

while his work as a port mafia executive isn’t the most conducive to keeping a consistent schedule from day to day, he does his best to be as undisruptive to your routine as possible. naturally there are times where he’ll need to reschedule or cancel, or where he runs late because of missions or paperwork or whatever, but he does his due diligence to keep you informed so you aren’t unsettled or thrown off too much by his work

doppo kunikida

doesn’t really pay much mind to your stims, be they physical or verbal, and once he’s seen/heard them he just stops registering them for the most part (i.e. he’s not going to point them out or react when you do them in the future). at most he’ll be briefly caught off guard when you develop a new stim, but after that he just goes about his life as normal

tries his best to at least be aware of whatever you’re fixating on at any given time so that he can talk to you about it, but don’t expect him to be able to match your enthusiasm on everything. he does always listen to your rants though, so surely that counts for something

as your boyfriend, he’s very tuned in to your body language and has a keen awareness of the things that are most likely to overwhelm or overstimulate you (e.g. what foods or textures to steer clear of, what areas are the loudest/busiest, and so on). so the second he notices you starting to get overwhelmed he’ll help you get out of the situation as smoothly and quickly as possible before deferring to his notebook and fetching you all the things that he knows will help you decompress

when it comes to picking up social cues and roundabout language, if that’s something you happen to struggle with, then he’ll happily do whatever he can to help ‘keep you in the loop’ as it were. and that can mean anything from giving you a notebook filled with turns of phrase that usually go over your head and their implied meanings for you to refer back to, to being more straightforward with his own language around you, to quietly helping you follow along with any subtle signs you might have missed. it’s a process for sure, but he manages to make it work

if establishing and following set schedules and routines is something you benefit from, then kunikeda may just be the best partner you could possibly have — after all, that notebook isn’t just something he carries around for the sake of it! just say the word and he’ll help you come up with the most ideal schedule possible for you to follow

(and he’s not above smacking anyone upside the head if they try to intentionally disrupt your routines to mess with you for whatever reason)

fyodor dostoevsky

fyodor is quite possibly the most well informed person on this list when it comes to autism — in large part because he went above and beyond when looking into you and your background before the two of you became an item, but also because he just pays close enough attention to you to pick up on your likes, dislikes, and habits without you ever needing to tell him outright

on slower days, when all he’s able to do is sit at his desk and stare at screens of data for hours at a time, he’ll invite you to sit with him and talk to him about whatever you’re interested in at the moment — your rambling and info dumping is a welcome reprieve from the monotony of his work and he just generally doesn’t mind sitting and listening to you talk (he thinks you have a lovely voice)

indulges you a lot and will fund your hyperfixations as they come and go, but his help does come with the condition that you don’t let yourself get too caught up with your new hobby or favourite thing. i.e. he’ll buy you whatever merch or equipment you want/need but you need to keep your collections confined to their designated room(s) and not let it eat into the rare time you get to spend together — a pretty fair trade off all things considered

very aware of any textures/sensations/etc. that bother you and will do everything he can to help you avoid them in your day-to-day life — and as long as you don’t exit his sphere of influence you just straight up will never have to deal with anything like that. likewise he’s quick to step in if he notices you getting overstimulated and will remove you from the situation in a subtle but effective manner

to be perfectly honest, being in a relationship with fyodor means that you’re not really going to need to interact with anyone outside of a very select group of individuals so picking up on any social cues stops being a major concern after a while. but if you’re really worried about upsetting, say, sigma of all people then he’ll step in and help you out

if you’re someone who needs a set routine and to be given time to mentally prepare for something in advance then he’s more than happy to accomodate you: workshopping a schedule that fits your needs, arranging dates weeks in advance and telling you what you’ll be doing to avoid stress, keeping you as in the loop as he reasonably can so you’re not too caught off guard or majorly disrupted by his elaborate plans, and so on — for someone who is often called a ‘demon’, fyodor can be remarkably empathetic and accommodating when he wants to be

gin akutagawa

had no clue what autism actually was when the two of you met — like of course she’d heard the word before and she was aware that it was something that people had, but that was about it — but once you told her that you were autistic she did a bit of homework on her own to actually understand the condition, and all credit to her she really does get it

thinks it’s cute when you get so happy/excited that you start stimming and is not afraid to pull a knife on anyone who tries to mock or infantilise you because of any particular stims you have. she adjusts more easily to physical stims (like hand flapping for example) than vocal stims, but once she knows that you’re just stimming and not trying to communicate anything specific she’ll get used to them pretty quickly

whenever she goes out shopping and she sees something related to whatever you’re hyperfixating on at the moment she’ll buy it for you — and while this is a cute habit of hers, it won’t take long for you to end up with drawers upon drawers of nicknacks that are adjacent to your interests… as well as any official gear/merch/etc. that she can get her hands on. she just likes making you happy is all

very quick and subtle about making sure you’re not in a situation where you’re sure to get overstimulated or experience sensory overload. she precisely cuts the labels out of your clothes once she knows they fit you right, cutting them perfectly so there’s no bothersome threads left behind. she changes out the lights in her apartment to ones that are less flashy or bright of that bothers you. she gets new blankets and towels for when you come around if the textures of her old ones mess with you. she memorises the ingredients and recipes to your safe foods off by heart. and, being an assassin, it goes without saying that she’s very good at getting you out of overwhelming social situations without causing a scene

more of a listener than a talker by nature so never feel like you’re talking too much or getting overexcited with her because she loves hearing about the things you’re passionate about — you’re, like, the only real reprieve she gets from her work with the pm so she treasures these moments more than you might realise

ryuunosuke akutagawa

takes note of your stims and generally registers them as just ‘a thing you do sometimes’ and thus doesn’t react to them much. will use his ability on anyone who tries to patronise, mock, or belittle you for stimming — would also sooner cut off his own leg than admit to it (hates being thought of as soft or protective, but he really really is)

never really ‘gets’ your hyper fixations and will occasionally, on instinct, insult your interests (he gets better about this over time but old habits are hard to break), but he will begrudgingly indulge you and buy you whatever you want/lend you his black card so you can buy things. don’t expect him to be fawning over your favourite series any time soon, but know that he is listening and paying attention to what you’re talking about (he may not show it well all of the time, but he does care about you and he wants to understand you… even if he truly doesn’t get what’s so awesome about this character you like)

whenever you experience sensory overload/get overstimulated akutagawa will do one of two things. the first option involves him using rashoumon to swiftly and effectively destroy/kill what/whoever was responsible for you getting so overwhelmed and uncomfortable. the second option involves him removing you from the situation and awkwardly standing next to you and trying his best to calm you down for a while — usually done when he’s in a situation where he cannot activate his ability for whatever reason (e.g. you’re at a gathering with other executives)

if you happen to struggle with social cues and metaphorical language then, unfortunately, your boyfriend isn’t going to be able to help you all that much. sure he’s always very straightforward and always says and does exactly what he means, but he’s in much the same boat as you as far as other people are concerned — difference being that he doesn’t care

if you struggle with breaking routine or need to work with an established schedule from day to day then akutagawa will work around your timetable as best as he can. of course in his line of work there will inevitably be times where he needs to cancel or reschedule your plans at the last minute, but he always tries to give you as much notice as he feasibly can — and, in his own way, he does try and make up for his absences once he’s back home

ryunnosuke akutagawa, who first meets you when you’re already with someone else. who thinks its just his sickly, scratchy lungs when he feels something in his chest. who thinks he needs to quarantine himself away from you once you constantly make his heart clench just by speaking. who doesn’t understand how someone like you, someone who is the human embodiment of the sun, can be in such a dark place. he’s never cared for what humans deserve, but for once, he knows this isn’t what you deserve. he isn’t sure of how to give you all the wonderful things you’ve earned, but he knows this isn’t it.

ryunnosuke akutagawa, who finds himself watching you and your partner together. who stares at you while his arms are around your body, staring at him as if he’s a simple understudy. who wonders what it is you’re laughing about- that joke wasn’t funny at all. though he can’t complain, he’d die for that smile. who wonders what he’s going to do with all the love he’s holding out. he thinks of himself like the human form of diablo, how can he ever deserve to love? how can he ever deserve to love you?

ryunnosuke akutagawa, who doesn’t know what to say when your relationship ends. who is so emotionally awkward it almost makes you laugh. who tries, placing his hand on your shoulder, patting you down like he’s searching you. he’ll tell you that only weak people cry- and freaks out when it makes you cry even more. who tilts his head adorably, used to people crying out of fear and not like this. who is actually dumbfounded, but finds that you calm down when he gently cups your face and wipes your tears away. who hates seeing you cry. who also hates touching others, but when its you, it seems to be okay.

ryunnosuke akutagawa, who subsequently hunts down your ex and slashes him to pieces. who knows he’s a terrible comforter but can at least avenge your tears. “who said you were allowed to make them cry? hm? pathetic.”

ryunnosuke akutagawa, who you have to be patient with. he wants to try for you. he wants to understand what love is. you’re the only thing (other than gin) he has ever cared about. who shows love in small, little ways. who is actually the most chivalrous gentleman you have ever known. who zips up your clothes without you even having to ask, who always does the sidewalk rule, who subconsciously shields you with his body, who places his hand on the small of your back ushering you to safety, who scoffs when he sees you gush about flowers but then buys you some and actively tends to them, telling you how to make them live longer.

ryunnosuke akutagawa, who thinks he’s seen this film before. he can’t even bare the thought of allowing his tortured heart to care about someone, only to lose them. who dreads how this will end. who is secretly scared that he won’t have anything left to defend if he were to lose you. who swears to himself to be your protector. who would get his knuckles bloody for you, fighting till his lungs give out so you can keep smiling. who may not be the most demonstrative, loving, expressive man, but who knows that you will never be harmed for as long as he’s breathing. who treats you like his crown and his homeland. who would gladly go into exile for you.

When Nikolai first discovered his ability, he would use it to absolutely terrorize people in games of hide and seek and tag.

Every year on his birthday, Dazai will skip out on work and bring a drink and extra glass to Odasaku’s grave. He pours the whisker into the extra glass and places it next to Odasaku’s grave, and drinks straight from the bottle.

Hirotsu was assigned to teach Dazai, Gin, and Tachihara how to drive. 

Dazai never paid attention so he still sucks at driving

Yosano is Ranpo’s wing-woman whenever he needs one

Kouyou is the member the Port mafia go to when they need a haircut

Gin has so much patience, especially with you.

Whenever you give him attitude or refuse to do something, he just smiles at you.

It honestly kind of annoys you how patient he is with you. You wish he would get mad or upset, but he doesn't.

In fact, Gin kind of enjoys it. He sees it as a game.

Whenever he feels you ramble on too much, he tends to wrap his arms around your waist and lift you off the ground.

"Hey! Gin, put me down!" you demand, kicking your feet in the air.

normally, ryunnosuke wouldn’t have anyone to return to.

sure, his sister would be there, but that was a given. or maybe stacks of paperwork or copious pent up coughs would greet him. but for the most part, he was used to returning home alone.

and he liked it that way. or so he told himself.

when you come home alone, theres never the pain of realizing your house is empty. he was the only entity within his walls, the only soul that wandered the place. he was the only person who could break his own heart, the only one who could enter his home and take parts away from him. when you shut everything out, the only person who can you is you.

but he’s learned to build his heart up from steal. if his lungs continuously failed him, he’d shield his heart and freeze it with ice no one could penetrate. was he safe or was he broken?

he finds himself face to face with that question when he meets you.

so after 2 long years of melting that ice with sunlight, you found yourself waiting by the window.

he said at most, a few days. he was on some port mafia mission, involving the were-tiger with chopped up hair. that he’d be facing off some old man with a particularly powerful sword and a particularly powerful team. a strange generalization, you thought.

days developed into weeks. then, inevitably, months.

was it something you did?

the cool night air greets you as you thrust your windows open, then same ones that akutagawa loved to look out onto the world through. he’d stumble into your apartment, a cup of tea already brewing for him. he never spoke much, not even to you, but he showed his affection through actions more.

he’d greet you in the bedroom, offering a peck to your forehead. he’d scold you about keeping your windows open, especially in autumn. he complains its only worsening his lungs, but he can’t help but love the way the moon reflects off of your irises.

and he tells you about his life, underneath those stars. about his past, his sister, and all the darkness he kept within like a locket. he tells you that falling in love was not for someone like him.

“..love.” he mutters under his breath, almost scoffing when you bring up the subject. he’s standing behind you, arms encasing you between him and the window. though he’d never tell you, he’s trying to keep you warm. the night are was often not very forgiving to kind folk like you.

your brows furrow, but you understand where he comes from. “yes, ryu. love.” you reaffirm. “i’m in love with you.”

he blinks for a moment. first, he thinks what terrible taste in men you have. and how lucky he is to be that man.

he sighs, his throat running dry. though he does prompt to press his lips to your forehead once more, staring at you with a light in his eyes you’ve never quite seen before. no one in the mafia would know that the demon ryunnosuke akutagawa was also a gentleman, one who gently ushers you to bed and puts you to sleep with a kiss to your knuckles.

he waits for you to fall asleep before he leaves a letter, and bids you farewell.

the goddess of timing, unfortunately, has a cruel heart. and so the moment akutagawa admitted his feelings for you, he was pulled away from the one thing that made the air around him breathable.

you read his letter everyday. at first, you cried to it, and clutched it to your chest. then, after the first few weeks, you wondered if he had been lying. your ribs get the feeling he did.

how poetic is it, that both of you thought it was just goodbye for now.

while he’s away, he swears he’ll grow up. that he’ll change and be better. that, for what little time his lungs give him, he’ll love you more. he’ll let you teach him what love is, and love you back tenfold. and once he’s done that, he swears he’ll come find you. promises oceans deep, but never quite to keep.

and though he’d never admit it, he thinks about you every damn day. he wonders if you’re still a mind reader, able to steal the scene of every room you’re in. he’s heard great things from whispers and rumours, and he’s glad that life was easier on you than it was on him. you deserved it, after all.

and as weeks develop into months, selfishly, he hopes you wait.

and you do.

you let that lamp burn every night while your life dances around you. you hope, deep in your heart that he’ll return. that he’ll drink your shitty tea and scoff at your shitty jokes. that he’ll put you to bed and linger around in the morning, planting a kiss to your forehead like always. you hope that he’ll return with his feet on the ground and with stories to tell, because you never lost a single ounce of love for him.

you tried to hold onto it. and its true. you never lost any love, even after you draw the curtains, and turn down the lights.

you hope he forgives you.

1# Karasu

I LOVE KARASU SO MUCH!!! I really like his character construction (just hate that he was nerfed) and is the only character in bllk (except for Bachira) that I could relate with

I love his design and symbology w crows, and him acknowledging his flaws (in egoist bible) and wanting to improve is soooo sweet ♡♡♡

He's also second most gentleman :)

2# Kurona

For me Kurona has one of the best designs in the whole manga! He's an enby (I mean, look at him) with shark like teeth that repeats his last words! There is something better than that? No!

He's also just a sweetheart and him, Hiori and Isagi are my current fav trio! People should give him more love and attention ♡

3# Niko

As you can see i only like the underrated characters :((

I really, really like his character construction, the way he evolves during Blue Lock is amazing. Aside of Isagi, I think that Niko was the one with most changes during the manga. He found his place in defense and he's been incredible at it!

Even though his design is not my favorite I really like his metaphor with "the eyes are the window of the soul"! He's so cool!

4# Shidou

I feel like the fandom really messed him up, cause Shidou is actually a very interesting character (I'm quite curious for his backstory). Behind that tough personality we have a character that enjoys art and has really philosophical quotes (specially in the egoist bible).

Obviously, I know his really difficult (I mean, third in least gentleman), but I find him really cool as a character.

5# Gagamaru

Gagamaru is an icon! Bro, that dude lives in the fucking mountains, who the hell found him?! I find his playstyle very unique and his evolution to becoming a goalkeeper is super cool!

I also find his design very funny, his low quality scenes always making me laugh!! Definitely a character Kaneshiro made while drunk ksjsakdj!

Honorable mention (not 6# but I like them): Lavinho and Snuffy

As a brazilian I love having representation, but I think Lavinho is only good in his design, cause he doesn't really add anything to the NEL, he's just there, which makes me sad. I feel like Kaneshiro wasted him, but he's a great character.

As for Snuffy, he is just too perfect! He adds stuff to the narrative and I would say he's the best coach in the NEL arc! He's such a gentleman and the type of person I'd like to have around (he also reminds me of my old soccer coach)

Now, here is the only character I can actually admit that I dislike (I don't want to get crucified) and his rank in my hating list:

3# Sendou

He just pisses me off, his motivation is just... a disappointment. I didn't expect him to be the U20 striker, he's just so bad 😭😭

He looks like a straight boy in sixth grade that wants to be like CR7 and marry a Kardashian (very common in Brasil, trust me)
