I continue to be an entire fucking Silmarillion nerd, but I am a happy fucking Silmarillion nerd because I finally found straight-sided wine glasses, which are infinitely easier to etch than curved-sided ones.

So of course I etched a Fëanorian star into one of them.

Bardos Thodol Works is getting ready for opening our business in Arizona, all the paperwork is being processed, we are quite excited.

The next step, that I did yesterday and today, was to put my stencils on the vases. I did half where the whole vase, except for the Maltese cross will be frosted.

And half where only the Maltese cross is frosted.

Then I sprayed all my vases with a frosted glass spray paint. This gives it the etched look, without all the effort of actually doing the etching.

Now to peel everything off and see what it looks like. I hope it worked how I wanted it to. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

My latest glass etching - so yes, I continue to be an entire fucking Silmarillion nerd. ALSO. I decided that I'm going to do some of these as requests. Send me an ask with a Tolkien-related short phrase (or three) that'll fit on a glass, and I'll choose some of the ones submitted at random - and then mail each glass to whomever requested the phrase (if they're comfortable with my having their shipping address). I'm not charging for them, either - if I etch your request, you can have the glass for free. The only thing I would ask is to split the shipping cost with me 50-50 as I'm in Canada and our mail system tends to be expensive - plus, it'll take quite a bit of packing material to make sure the the parcel arrives safely.

So. Anyone want a glass?

Hello i'm scared and so nervous aaaaaa ( ;´ - `;) ITS DONE!!

As in the description:

After 6 months and 2 burnouts… it… is… done! At the time of writing, im so nervous of the outcome of this, as it is my biggest project yet… 5 minutes is just diabolical. And without music with lyrics to interpret to, this is out of my comfort zone (You can tell).

The reason of it's existence being i wanted to do something slow, understandable of the general cycle of Muguet and Aritya; The Absence, Honeymoon, etc. Was this fun? maybe. Do i like it? Debatable.

I'm so happy for everyone joining the premiere, x ^_^!
