i created a girl with this picrew. Her name is Cilla (well, it’s Cecilia, but she goes by Cilla) and she’s Goswin’s sister and she accidentally became important to goswinary fic SOMEHOW. it was a consequence of hendrik being an adult when zwaardsrust fell...yeah
so naturally she’s in hendrik’s slot, right
Tumblr media
lmao nah she’s jasper

Goswin intro...redux!!!!
Tumblr media
Once upon a time Chel made a one-off lad for a fic. He was supposed to be a joke, a butt monkey. Something went wrong; I’d like to say it was dnd but tbh I liked him before that. Now he’s here. Get ready for a doozy; he’s arguably MOST in need of a redo and also he gets an extra section because I have lost control of my life.
DQXI Spoilers abound, baby!
PROLOGUE
Cities rarely fall with all of their citizens still within their walls, and this rings true for Zwaardsrust as well. The king fell, because monsters with a leader often beeline for whoever’s in charge, and the knights fell, laying down their lives to protect His Majesty and whatever civilians they could, but a number of nobles and commonfolk alike escaped the crumbling walls into the vast unknown.
Goswin knows nothing of this, because Goswin was not yet born when Zwaardsrust fell, but it haunts his parents, haunts his older sister, and somehow still haunts him and his younger sistes, as so many tragedies haunt those left behind.
Goswin was raised within the walls of Sniflheim, studying in the academies that dot the city, aiming for the kingdom’s greatest university. With a keen eye for learning and a deep-rooted love for the many mysteries surrounding Erdrea, he was considered a shoe-in for any academic program he had his eyes set on, even if his nervous, quiet demeanor made him a target for the crueler children.
And then, one fateful day not long after his fourteenth birthday, one of the aforementioned crueler children picks the wrong moment to mess with him, and suddenly Goswin’s mind is clouded with an unfamiliar, genuinely-terrifying rage. And while the bully is quickly scared off by Goswin’s sheer anger—not to mention the swirls of strange red energy creeping up his arms—it leaves the little researcher boy himself more than a little afraid.
No amount of research turns up anything to explain whatever that rage was, and as time passes it only grows stronger and stronger. He enrolls in university at age eighteen, makes it to one class—and is suddenly overcome with a rage so strong he drops out entirely, setting out on the road to ensure he can’t hurt anyone else, especially those he cares about. Perhaps the world outside of Sniflheim will provide him the knowledge he seeks…or, at the very least, something interesting to research.
And so, after a year or two on the road, he finds himself in the tourist town of Phnom Nonh with nothing but an axe (for protection!), his many notebooks, and the clothes on his back, seeking out the source of their prized mural’s power. And when a certain little girl approaches him, claiming that she too dealt with rages like his only to be cured by the mural’s power, well, perhaps that’s the solution he was looking for!
WITHIN THE PARTY
As luck would so have it, his visit to Phnom Nonh coincides almost perfectly with the arrival of a certain Luminary in the town, looking for any sort of lead in their orb search. Not long after his run-in with Dora, he runs into Eleven and company, who lost track of her while looking for her parents. As anxious as he is about dealing with people, especially with his…condition…he agrees to team up with them to search, leading them into the mural’s chambers and, inevitably, transporting them into the Other Side.
Perhaps because of the party’s presence, or because he’s not an idiot, Goswin resists whatever weird compulsory-worship nonsense Dora-in-Grey exudes and proves himself to be a worthy ally in combat, even if he is a bit…overzealous at times. With Dora dispatched and the discovery that Goswin’s last hope—er, research has been destroyed, he decides to come along for the ride for three reasons: one, that whatever turned Veronica into a child is certainly a valuable substitute; two, because Eleven’s Luminary powers definitely qualify as Cool Research Material, and three, because Eleven is nice and Erik is pretty and Goswin is a gay disaster.
(And four, because they’re strong enough to take him out, should his mystical rage overtake him. But he won’t say that. And besides, his rage seems to be sated by monster battles, so he’ll likely be fine.)
Most of their journey is relatively peaceful (well, comparatively so, anyway), before they enter the First Forest and his rage fails to calm after a fight, leading to him turning on his party members. When confronted, he tells the party of his particular problem, and they promise to help him find the solution as soon as the Lord of Shadows is taken care of.
Guess how THAT goes.
Goswin finds himself in Gondolia, helping to solve their fish issues (fish-ssues?) in the wake of Alizarin’s sea tyranny and attempting to subdue his rage before he hurts more people. The party (read as: Eleven, Hendrik, Rab, Sylv and I guess Terra) winds up picking him up before heading to Zwaardsrust, where the rage becomes stronger and stronger…
Searching the ruins, since this is where his family lived and perhaps they could trace the source to that, they discover a mural (of course) detailing a long-passed encounter with a particularly powerful monster that, with its dying breath, cursed the bloodline of the knight who defeated it. Their lead acquired, they find the lingering spirit the monster left behind, slaying it for good and…not freeing Goswin from the rage so much as allowing him to control it, not unlike Jade’s Revamp ability.
Honestly, the jump back in time doesn’t affect his story too much; sure, the party is far less surprised at his inability to calm after that fight in the First Forest, and they have an inkling on where to go, but much like the Gloomnivore fight, it’s kinda…the same, if a bit Nastier on the monster’s end.
As an aside: if this were Definitive Edition and you chose to shack up with Goswin, his Tor cutscene would be very explicitly romantic, because Goswin is a gay disaster and if you chose to live with him you are both aware and on board with it.
MONSTER SQUAD:
In a different world, Goswin got there a bit too early, swept up into Dora’s mural and inevitably rescued by Team Luminary. Who get promptly scared off by Doroterra, thus ruining his chances of More Sweet Research. Despite his frustration, and his immediate fright at her hands, he ends up traveling alongside her (and the teacher who insists on babysitting them).
The specifics of his particular story, honestly, play out largely the same, just without being there when Yggdrasil dies. It’s about the found family and the interpersonal relationships. Besides, that’s probably not what you came to this for, given that a) it’s mostly detailed in Terra’s anyway and b) the next section exists.
GOSWINARY:
Perhaps, in a different life, the Luminary was born in Zwaardsrust, and perhaps that Luminary survived and was found in Cobblestone. Perhaps, in that universe, Dundrasil survived, with its crown prince thriving in the palace, visited at least once a month by his older-sister-in-spirit, the Princess of Heliodor.
A princess who is slowly becoming very suspicious of her father, just in time for said Luminary to arrive to present himself to the king.
She recruits Dundrasil’s Prince Eleven, as well as a thief named Erik with a supposed destiny to find and help the Luminary, to help her find the poor boy before he gets himself thrown into the dungeons. And thus, country boy Goswin gets thrown into the wildest ride of his life.
They were told there’d be a lot more lightning, but all he get really do is go into some sort of magically-charged rage state, and even that isn’t really controllable. There are more than a few mysteries to this particular Luminary…unfortunately, you have to wait until I actually make it to Goswinary. My apologies. If it helps…non-sexyfied Jade, not-villain Jasper and yes-villain female OC?
COMBAT:
Goswin would really rather not fight unless he has to—at first, anyway—but he does have weapons to use: axes (finally, another axe-wielder) as well as his notebooks. (This game doesn’t have enough joke weapons.) Erik also teaches him boomerangs!
As far as magic goes, Goswin has none; whatever magic he would have is fueling the rage thing, augmenting his natural strength at the cost of rational thought. He can do cool things with it, that’s for sure, but most of that comes after his arc is finished.

OC-Tober Day 30: Guilty Pleasure
Uhhh okay this! Was a time. Jasper’s here I guess? It’s goswinary Cilla hours?????
Act 2 spoilers btw
“I cannot say I expected to find you here, Lady Cecilia.”
She drops her watering can, its contents spilling onto the flower bed in front of her. “Please call me Cilla,” she grumbles. “How many times have we had this conversation, Jasper?” Princess (well, former princess, thanks to Yggdrasil) or not, she’s never been a Cecilia.
“My apologies.” There’s a moment’s silence, as she continues tending to her flowers, that Jasper promptly breaks once more. “Pardon my asking, but how long have you had a spot in the garden?”
“For some time now.” She stands to refill the watering can, finally sparing a glance at him. “Spending all my time searching for the Darkspawn and striving for Heliodor’s approval will certainly drive me mad, so I spare some time here to calm my thoughts.” The garden grows quiet once more as she draws water from the well, pouring it into the can as she catches Jasper’s peculiar look. “You ought to give it a try.”
(Truthfully, of course, her thoughts rarely calm these days; the news of her dear brother’s reappearance, as well as the disappearance of Princess Jade alongside it (not a kidnapping, as Mordegon claims; Cilla knows her too well now, has seen the wary looks cast in the so-called king’s direction, though she certainly won’t clear anything up if it aids her own goals), has sent her into a frenzy she hasn’t felt since she was young. But the garden is nice enough as it is, even if the staff has to tend to it more often than not.)
“Or any hobby, really.” She hums as she finishes watering her last flower.
Jasper averts his eyes when she looks at him once more. “Hm. Perhaps I should try something new.”
She certainly is not surprised when Jasper flees from Heliodorian knighthood, though defecting to Dundrasil was far from her idea of a suitable hobby. No matter, anyhow. It was only a matter of time before he started to get in the way, anyhow.
(There’s no room for a garden in the Citadel of Shadows, or anywhere under Mordegon’s reign, really. But she’s abandoned her need for a distraction by the time that becomes an issue...or so she thinks, until her brother rears his ever-so-blessed head once more.)

OC-Tober Day 27: free day....2!!!!
it’s another art-y prompt, so free day it is!!! i had an original idea (that might get tackled later) but in honor of troublerouser day i decided to do a someone-else-as-luminary story. Well, two, technically, because terra’s got a shitposty one
also remember that OC fic i said i was gonna write and then wrote a weird amount of for this month? uh so. it’s gonna be this instead i guess I DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED
In all honesty, as sheltered and anxious as Goswin is, he really didn’t have “get kidnapped” on his list of possibilities for his trip to Heliodor. And yet, here he is, hand over his mouth, dragged into an alley.
Well, if this Luminary stuff is correct, what a way for him to go, huh? Journey barely started, following the barest crumb of information, done in by a trio of bandits. Amazing.
“Shush,” one of them says, bizarrely gentle. What kind of kidnappers are these? “You really ought not to wander around Heliodor brandishing that Mark; you’ll find yourself in a world of trouble.” It’s odd; they seem to be trying to hide their voice? At the very least, it’s muffled and not quite natural-sounding. (At least they all have the decency to wear cloaks.)
“Uh, hey, you sure you got the right guy?” Another voice (this one sounds far more right) asks, reaching under his hood to rub at his head—or, more likely, run a hand through his hair. “The Seer said I’d meet him underground—”
“Did they say ‘you will meet the Luminary underground,’ or did they say ‘go underground and you will meet the Luminary’?” Goswin can just barely hear laughter coming from the third figure, light and almost wheezy, as their companions converse. “Besides,” the disguised-voice continues, “he’s got the Mark.”
The second kidnapper pauses a moment. “That’s…alright, fine, Jade, you win. I guess he is the right guy.” They let the hood fall from their head, and—oh, wow, okay, he’s attractive. (A shame about the kidnapper thing.) “Luminary, we gotta get you outta here. Haven’t you heard all the Darkspawn bullshit? You’re dead meat if they catch wind of you.”
Darkspawn? Grandfather hadn’t mentioned anything like that, not to him, not to Mum. (Not that Goswin knows too much about the Luminary thing to begin with…)
They manage to direct him to the city’s underbelly, and Goswin eyes his surroundings nervously. Again, sheltered country boy and all, not to mention…whatever’s happening now. “We’ll be safe to tell you who we are when we leave,” the first (and tallest) of his kidnappers slash escorts tells him. “I’m terribly sorry about all this.”
They’re all going to kill him. Why didn’t he fight?!
Finally, finally, they make their way out of the city, down the cliffside, and only then do the remaining figures discard their cloaks. It’s peculiar, honestly; compared to their blue-haired friend, they seem to be far better-groomed.
The first—fussing with her long black hair—coughs, clearing her throat before she speaks in a somewhat-normal (if a bit raspy) voice. “Again, I apologize for that whole fiasco. I…it’s best if I am not spotted in the city. The same with my partner here.”
The silent one—who is also unfortunately attractive (at least Goswin gets some eye candy as he probably dies)—waves, bizarrely cheery. Like the sun shines out of his eyes, or something. “Sorry for not saying anything!” he signs (and maybe it should be weird that Goswin can interpret sign language, but he did yell at a bird till it died, three days ago). “It’d be really obvious who I am…” He laughs.
It’s strange, there’s almost an expectation that he should know them. But their faces are as strange as the predicament he’s found himself in. “I…I’m sorry,” he tells them, “I don’t know who any of you are.”
The woman blinks. “You…perhaps that’s why we couldn’t find any trace of you, if you’ve been so far removed from the cities that you don’t know us. I’m Princess Jade of Heliodor.” She gestures to her mute companion. “This is Prince Eleven of Dundrasil, my brother, for all intents and purposes. My father…” She sighs, gaze turning wistful. “Never mind that. And this one is Erik, who seems to have been searching for you.”
“Sup.”
Goswin tentatively waves. “Uh, ‘sup.’”
“Perhaps,” Jade begins, “we should find a place to discuss our future plans, and the situation in Heliodor.”
Goswin nods—tactics, he can do that. “My hometown would probably work. Follow me.”
---
“Goswin, darling.” Jade stares across the empty valley. “There’s nothing here.”
Goswin turns to her, frown gracing his face. “Wh—what are you talking about? It’s right there!” He gestures at the area around them, still terribly devoid of civilization.
“I hate to say it, but she’s right. No village, nothing.” Eleven sighs, and perhaps Jade would take issue with the hate to say it part, but she knows what he means. (She’s seen him fall for people. She knows.)
Goswin clenches a fist, and Jade watches his Mark glow red (red?!) for a split second before it fades once more as his voice takes on a more…unsettling tone than she’s heard it before. “You guys seriously can’t see Cobblestone?”
And at those words, it’s as though a spell has broken around them, the empty scenery suddenly filling before her eyes. Houses, people, all matter of things come into being in mere moments. As though the name itself held the key to finding it.
Erik rubs his eyes. “You…you’re right. It’s here.”
Goswin exhales, relief apparent on his face. “Alright then,” he replies in that familiar, nervous tone. “Let’s head in and plan away.”

🖊 🖊 🖊 I send... value pack.
Hmmm hm hm hm. That’s enough for each monster squad member to get one...
Hahahaha nah let’s talk about Cilla. One for three separate AUs!
Monster Squad AU: I don’t know that I ever intended for her to make a proper appearance in this, cause she only really was invented for Goswin’s trip to Zwaardsrust, but given her characterization in that I can see her being like a Cool Big Sis type. Maybe like their sorta home away from home!
Magnum Opus/Hell Doc: this is more for Hell Doc since MO itself is gonna be Established Relationship Luminerik I think because factoring Goswin into that would be Interesting but I’m putting it under both anyway. Cilla and Goswin were kinda distant for Reasons that included “Cilla took off the minute she could go to college” and “Goswin needed therapy”, but the relationship mended enough that Goswin felt comfy enough to transfer to Erdrea U and crash with his sister. And since she already knew and was friends with Jade, well, that introduced him to the rest of the group. And thus his two-to-five boyfriends. Christ hell doc is ridiculous.
Goswinary: ah yes, goswinary....she was pretty close with Jade when they were younger, having been raised in Heliodor Castle in the wake of the Zwaardsrust nonsense. But then Jade got close to Eleven, which reminded her of the relationship she’d never have with Goswin on account of him probably being dead (because he just HAD to be the luminary), and that whole thing kinda...messed her up.

And give me some opinions on Goswin >:D
Same addendum as for Hibiki: answering the OC ones as if they were written by a theoretical fan of “the source material but with my OC written in”, in this case.
Do you KNOW how hard it is to come up with a headcanon for your own goddamn character
First impression: Aw baby nerd boy WHERE did he get that axe
Impression now: *chanting* nerd son nerd son big gay strong nerd son
Favorite Moment: I mean the axe’s first appearance is pretty great. And him finally breaking the rage curse!!!! What a good boy.
Idea for a story: Goswin rolls up to the family house and throws open the door like SUP BITCHES GUESS WHO NOW HAS NORMAL ANGER
Unpopular opinion: (author’s note: GOD this is hard) oh no......gay in my jrpg.....god fucking get over it gamers
Favorite relationship: I think El/Goswin is sweet....though Erik/Goswin is pretty nice if you choose to shack up with somebody else. El/Erik/Goswin?? Or Faris if El and Erik decide to move in together—
Favorite headcanon: since he can’t use magic, that’s actually what he’s trying to study: how it works, why some people take to it easier than others, and why some people can’t use it at all!

19, goswin?
“Sea change”, hm....have some goswinary. Act 2 spoilers for DQXI
Goswin doesn’t like not having his feet on the ground. He hated scaling that rainbow bridge up to Yggdrasil; rationally, he may have known it wouldn’t fall apart under his feet, but that didn’t stop him from glancing at the ground far, far below and mentally bracing himself for a fall.
Psychologically there’s probably some kind of tie to the whole loss-of-control thing, but that’s not the point right now. The point is that he doesn’t have to look down to know that he’s not standing on anything.
He catches a glimpse of himself in the mirror (a pufferfish? really?) and sighs. This is his life now, it seems.

11 & 12!
11. Who or what do you find yourself writing about most?
Character-wise...I love writing about Eleven, of course (he’s my boy), and Gemma!!! She’s underrated.
Ships: Luminerik (of course), Jademma, honestly most Gemma ships are delightful.
Content: I love canon-divergence stuff, just like “what if this one thing was tweaked” kinda stuff. At least as far as dq goes, anyway: for a3 I REALLY love writing in canon
12. Tell us about a WIP you’re excited about.
Hmmmm..I got the wip page! But I’m very excited for:
Magnum Opus: college theater AU!!! My wheelhouse, given my degree
Goswinary: it has a title I think but whatever. I am going to produce content of my OC and you are GOING to enjoy it
Further exploration of my OC week stuff, see above
Superhero AU: I went Ham on the worldbuilding yo

Okay I’m waiting for lunch to happen so I’m gonna make a little OC roundup for characters that made appearances or have been mentioned in actual fics so here we goooooo—
Worth nothing that I DO discuss separate appearances of recurring OCs. :3
TROUBLEROUSER:
NETTIE: believe it or not, Nettie actually comes from here, designed to be a kind of replacement for the role of Carnelian’s daughter, since Mia is very much Erik’s bio sister. She’s purely a posthumous character, having died protecting the Zwaardsrustian royal babies; that said, she may become relevant in a future Mia-centric chapter of TAL? :3
GOSWIN AND TERRA: not explicitly referred to as such, but the soldiers Erik and company eavesdrop on are, in fact, these two, separate from their in-universe Issues. Felt like finishing up the monster squad! Actually it’s really neat seeing how Goswin’s grown just from that, hehe.
ARTURO: okay he doesn’t entirely count, since he’s just the Beastie Boys’ leader given a name, but hey. He’s actually named after an OC I have NOT given enough love to. Sorry other Arturo. Side note while I am here: I did not name the babiest Soldier of Smile but he is my favorite.
SPINEL: directly responsible for both this post and the fact that chapter 15 had to cover the castle. Originally created solely to guide Erik to the Bastion, and then I made her Ruby’s daughter and it just spiraled. She (and the person Erik sees in Marina’s sweet bubble showcase) is also kind of an indication that, rather than the Bastion having one Hero a la canon, it has Captain Serena and a whole bunch of other people stepping up to save whoever they can.
SPROUT: i think I realized I didn’t have Carnelian mention Angri La, since it felt kinda shoehorned regardless tbh, so I added Sprout and she took over. Originally intended to be Mia-ish, she REALLY took on a life of her own. :3
WITCHY BUSINESS:
NETTIE (again): here fulfilling a role closer to what I generally intend for her! Not here much, tbh, though this is actually where the maid thing came from.
GOSWIN (again): THE BIRTH OF A LAD. I say this regularly but I CANNOT believe he has gone from nervous prince lad to whatever the hell he is now (and BACK to prince once goswinary hits) via a fucking gay crisis.
IDENTITY ANTHOLOGY:
AMARYLLIS: see above with Arturo; she’s an expansion of an NPC in Arboria who says she gave Veronica her staff. I had a lot of fun making her! Maybe she’ll reappear someday...
BERYL: I had this Vision of Gemma falling in love with a soldier girl. And thus Beryl was born. I love her.

-sends u a heart but it's my heart and it belongs to doroterra- tell me everything you can think of about ur daughter within the span of three minutes GO
AAAAAAAAA THATS *struggles to think*
UH THIS IS GONNA BE A RAMBLE HERE’S A CUT. Probably some spoilers here and there?
I’ve mentioned before that the idea of “monster who takes a human form for one reason or another” was DIRECTLY taken from a sidequest in dq7, though I’m sure it’s occurred in other games as well. But it’s worth mentioning cause I thought that aspect of dq7 was REALLY cool and now I have that in OC form.
Terra can be kinda hard to get right in dnd for me; I’ve seen how hard it can be to toe the line between “aggressive/mean towards other characters” and “just generally unfun to play with”, and frankly I’ve been on the receiving end of that issue before and it’s...rough....(that player and I talked it out we good now) so I kinda tossed out the dickishness in favor of just...awkwardness that sometimes manifests in maybe coming out a little rude. I’m really excited to get to her little arc tho!!! :D
Even after Erdrea!Terra has her little change of heart, she still kinda teases her companions; she has a reputation, you know? But now it’s definitely more lighthearted rather than actually meanspirited. I guess in some ways that makes her close to Veronica?
I’m not sure why I went sound design with her and the rest of the monster squad for Magnum Opus, but I suspect it was cause some aspects of her personality post-undickening remind me of a college friend whose focus was also in sound design! Mary if you’re out there I hope you’re doing well!!!!
I wish I had an Actual Reason as to why I ship her with Gemma but all I got is that Gemma deserves to be a little feral.
I LOVE writing her dialogue regardless of universe and that’s the true tragedy of Goswinary. Speaking of, I was SUPPOSED to write a second prompt for that day of oc-tober detailing a theoretical Terranary (not to be confused with Flutiebear’s Luminary Terran, lmao) but I forgot in the wake of accidentally plotting out all of Goswinary. The idea for Terranary was like...the seer DESPERATELY trying to get her to do the hero thing and she’s like, Nah, I’m good
She is too much of a lesbian for me to attempt to set her up with anyone in hell doc, aside from MAYBE someone’s older sister. Actually hey older sis Settsu hit her up—

I was gonna ask 💗 but I think that’s helldoc so how about ✨?
Well I mean. You’re not wrong. But I have an actual answer in terms of stuff I’m putting on ao3! So I’m doing both.
💗- If you were purely making a fic for yourself, without fear of what other readers would think about it, what would you write?
Hell doc absolutely is, hehe. Buuuut also: Goswinary is exactly this! Even now there’s still a lot of Only OCs That Aren’t Special Are Okay disc horse that I see from time to time (don’t look at the notes on “hell yeah you write those OCs” posts, kids) and it makes me a bit hesitant...but fuckin whatever, dudes. It’s MY ao3 account and I get to write the self indulgent OC nonsense.
✨- Which fanfiction are you most proud of and why?
Oh, troublerouser, easy. 79k words and still a good bit to go!!!! If anything it’s proven to me that I CAN write a big thing, hehe.
As for one shots....honestly I’m proud of every fic I write, hehe, but Fondness was very early into my overt-romance writing and I’m still really glad it was well-loved, heh.

DQXI WIP LIST: or, How The Fuck Am I Ordering These Long Fics Slash Series
mostly for my own purposes, cause i KEEP FUCKING FORGETTING MY IDEAS, though i guess if you’re interested in a particular fic you might as well follow it too? everything here is something i plan on releasing slash working on, like, reasonably soon.
SPORADIC UPDATES:
forest fires: want some fucking birds??? okay there’s only one bird and when he dies he fucking combusts (and then comes back to life). Status: posted whenever the FUCK i feel like it.

brightest day (WIP title): superhero au. Status: working on the first part. series of one shots
as-of-yet-untitled OC Hell: YES THIS IS MY OC WEEK STUFF PUT ON AO3. I KNOW. Status: first two chapters up. chapter fic that will probably be labeled as complete when i’m done with everything i can think of, but will ultimately be updated later anyway.
Hell Doc: what happens when my hyperfixations combine. Or; an AU in Magnum Opus’ universe where the events of A3! have been happening down the road, and some kind of nightmare polycule bullshit encompassing both the dq crew and the mankai boys (and izumi) ensues. Status: it’s here. I was gonna just relegate it to here but addy asked for reblog privileges so i guess it has its own post now? periodically updated whenever i have an idea stupid enough to warrant another ONE POINT SEVEN THOUSAND WORDS or more realistically whenever i have a tsuzuru-related meltdown. again.
PROPER FUCKIN LONGFICS:
Troublerouser: my child, my fucking gigantic child. and i guess its offshoot. Status: chapter 18 posted, we in act 2, time for octagonia. TAL Status: 4 posted!

Timesplitter: Act 3 Troublerouser; or, the after effects of the decision to turn back time... Status: after Hourglass!
Magnum Opus: Sylvia has an independent study where she has to direct and perform in a show without faculty intervention. Eleven is taking a playwrighting course. Chaos ensues. Status: After TS!
Raging Storms (WIP Title for Goswinary): something went wrong SOMETHING WENT WRONG Status: after the above, because i’ve lost control of my life

Faris NPC Party AU AND Act 2 Shuffle: “It wasn’t supposed to go this way!” Status: after the above. it’s gonna be a hell of a ride
Teeth and Ambitions (WIP Title): Instead of merely seething until Mordegon reveals himself and promises Jasper the recognition he seeks, Jasper just commits a regicide. With the princess presumed dead and Hendrik refusing to take the throne, now-King Jasper discovers that he still isn’t quite getting the admiration he deserves and strikes a deal with a strange spirit to aid in Erdrea’s  destruction, with a certain blue-haired thief girl by his side... Status: uhhh. someday????

later is now let’s GOOOOO (spoilers for like Everything)
Cilla here was still pretty small when Goswin was born and thus when Zwaardsrust was destroyed, so she approached the entire ordeal from a kid’s perspective. That perspective being “if it weren’t for Goswin, I’d still have my family.” Which would be fine, if she wound up in anyone else’s care. But of course she wound up with a certain slightly-possessed king, who kinda fueled that notion to the point that she came to believe...that if Yggdrasil would allow the sacrifice of the rest of her family for one (1) super-special infant, then Yggdrasil should not stand.
And thus! The Jasper.
Jasper, consequently, hears one (1) validating comment from Jade (who has seen how capable he is without Hendrik and also on account of living at the castle) and it undoes eighteen years of mordegon conditioning. Okay in all seriousness it makes him question stuff. And thus he becomes the Hendrik, kinda.
Hendrik, in turn, wound up staying in Octagonia after saving them from the Zwaardsrustian monster overflow, becoming their personal protector (and constant champion in the MMA, to the point that Vince needs spider juice to even hope to beat him). This carries over to act 2. Yes he gets the booga treatment but less horny
