Blooms Embedded In Ice
Photographer Bruce Boyd and artist Tharien Smith collaborated together for a photography project called 0˚C, where they portray the short lived beauty of flowers in a unique way.
The duo wants to break the cliches associated with flower photography by introducing ice, a medium that is paradoxical in itself. According to their website, ice preserves the beauty of the flowers that are encapsulated in it, only to wilt and destroy its fragile splendor upon melting.

Surreal Art by Ronald Ong
The 19 year old from Malaysia sees the world as if it is a giant blob of magic, where everything and anything is possible. A lone explorer surfs the simultaneous wave with the gigantic whale, where he and his aquatic friend are seen enjoying the tide against the scenic sunset. In another composition, the dots on the deer’s skin are scattered into the night sky, becoming one and the same with the stars shining bright. It is as if Ong is urging us to escape into the otherworldly scenes and to take on the whimsical ride where the line separating surrealism and reality are blurred into one.
Enjoy them all here.

Disembodied Subjects In Photography
Didonato style involves rearranging the regular physique, to be disjointed and dysfunctional from its current reality and then cleanly spliced into the environment. Without expression and interaction, her subjects become props and furniture - an interesting furnishing to trees and walls around the lens. The notion of the human psyche, without the emotional eccentricities, becomes a far fetched and terrifying existence in Didonato’s visual narration.

Calligraphy Inspired By Ancient Arabic Text
Accents of the ancient language which still persists in modern day is interpreted in Lampas’ fashion and contemporary art. The typography is a blend of if the distinct curvatures and strokes found in the Arabic alphabet, which is then woven into concentric patterns, creating a similar effect to the Islamic and Persian geometric art. A primitive energy is present the indecipherable strings of words drawn by Lampas, where under the modern interpretations an artist reveals his nature to unravel mystery and work with history under one canvas.
Lampas has a huge calibre for calligraphy. View it here.
