Basically: he is huge, and he is round.

Age as of 1st arc's beginning: 6 moons; 10 Hyrs

Age as of 1st arc's end: 2 cycles, 4 moons; ~25 Hyrs

Title meaning:

-belly = a cat with a great sense of humor; a cat who is always laughing/happy

-stream = a title taken in honor and memory of Gray's mate Silverstream who passed protecting their kits. Also symbolic of his new loyalty to River Order.

Warrior of Thunder Order -> Caretaker of River Order; switched Orders to be with his kits and mate Silverstream; became a Queen for his kits after Silver died, and he later chose to become a Caretaker after this experience.

anyway I’ve spent all day reading through clangen lore, and while she’s not a clangen oc (I’ve had her for 4 years I adore her) I wanna infodump about her

Brownfern, born in Frostclan, her mother was Silverstar. Brownkit adored her mom, despite not knowing her dad very well.

Brownkit had a normal kithood, while she was far less enthusiastic about things than other kits, she did have a crush on the older Mudkit. She cheered loudly at Mudkit’s apprentice ceremony. But she was sad he was gone. Brownkit spent lots of her kithood in the medicine den, helping around. So Brownkit started teaching Redkit, a moon younger, about herbs to pass her last moon in the nursery. The two became close and swore they’d be medicine cats together.

Brownkit was woken by a nightmare to a fox attack, and she ran out of the nursery, stumbling onto Graystream, the deputy, taking Silverstar’s lives in the chaos. Brownkit ran until the attack was over. No one but her knew what Graystream had done, chalking the tragic loss to a fox.

Brownkit shakily had her medicine apprentice ceremony a few days later, swearing to her mothers spirit that Graystream, now Graystar, would not prosper. Brownpaw tried to talk and hang out with Mudpaw, but he was always busy, especially with the newest warrior apprentice, Redpaw. Brownpaw stopped talking to them.

Brownpaw spent the rest of her apprenticeship festering in the rage she felt from everything.

Brownpaw watch Mudpaw become Mudtail, hoping for a chance to get closer, she used harmful berries in his prey to put him in the medicine den, and they actually did start talking more (Though Mudtail was still talking a lot to Redpaw..) And Brownpaw’s course of life changed from miserable to murderer. Brownpaw knew medicine cats couldn’t have mates, but she hoped she’d have a semblance of a chance. Brownpaw got her medicine cat name of Brownfern, and the starclan cats gave her odd prophecies of death and herbs. She brushed it off.

Brownfern and Mudtail were actually making progress. Then Redleaf joined Mudtail in the warriors den. And then only 3 moons later, they announced they were mates, and 2 moons later they announced their kits were being born. Then 2 moons later they had a litter of five, Fernkit (Named after Brownfern since the two still viewed her as a close friend), Waspkit, Adderkit, Meadowkit, and Galekit. Brownfern hated helping deliver the kits, but she started envisioning brown fur in place of Adderkit’s red patches. Brownfern decided that kit would be hers.

Brownfern visited the family, as an auntie, she hated it. The kits were bothersome, but Adderkit was lovable since Brownfern saw her as her own. Mudtail and Redleaf questioned the affinity but didn’t bring it up. Brownfern convinced Adderkit that it’d be a great idea to be a medicine cat. And so that’s what Adderpaw chose.

The two were very close, Adderpaw even accidentally calling Brownfern mom quite a few times until Brownferm approved of it, and it started happening on and off. Brownfern actually genuinely loves Adderpaw, Adderpaw is the only cat that Brownfern wouldn’t physically hurt to get her way.

And that’s the point Brownfern is at. Revenge is back into her mind, with her basically kit around.

Since we're excited to finally (hopefully) find out their warrior names when Star is out...

Came up with a bunch of random ideas I hadn't thought of before! This is fun! :D

My anticipated warrior names for this arc's new apprentices and kits:

ThunderClan:

Bristlekit → Bristleheart, Bristleleaf, or Bristlepelt.

Graykit → Grayspots, Graydapple, or Graysplash. The -dapple suffix hasn't been used in Warriors since Firestar's Quest, so it'd be nice to see it used again.

Stemkit → Stemflower, Stemwhisker, or Stemblossom; for some reason, I suspect that either he or Bristlekit could potentially become one of ThunderClan's next medicine cats, especially since Jayfeather is now around 9 years old and not far from retirement.

ShadowClan:

Birchkit (now Birchpaw) → Birchstorm, Birchfrost, or Birchwing. We haven't seen much of this little guy yet so it depends on how his personality develops, especially with the growing anti-Tigerstar sentiment in and outside of ShadowClan.

Bloomkit → Bloomshade (after her black pelt & in honor of her Clan)

Whisperkit → Whisperstep, Whisperstrike, or Whispercloud.

Firkit → Firfall, Firleaf, or Firshade

Streamkit → Streamsong, Streamsplash, or Streamstripe.

WindClan

Whistlepaw → Whistlesong, Whistlebreeze, Whistlewind, Whistlewing, or Whistlegrass/Whistlestalk (what I have in mind for this particular name is a grass whistle!) Whistlepaw has already shown she has a strong sense of justice & is willing to go against the highest authority figures in her Clan to do so, so a name like Whistleheart is definitely in the books for me too.

Stripekit → Stripefur, Stripepelt, Stripetail, Stripeface, etc...I wonder what was so intriguing about his tabby pattern that Larkwing looked at her son and chose Stripekit as the best possible name choice? No wonder her parents are disappointed in her.

Brookkit → Brooksong, Brookwhisper, Brookmist, Brooksplash, Brookbreeze, really anything. Several different warriors suffixes would fit nicely with Brook-.

SkyClan

Beetlepaw → Beetlewing or Beetleflight

Beepaw → Beefeather, Beesong, Beecloud, Beeflower

Ridgekit → Ridgeflower, Ridgelight, Ridgesky, or Ridgefrost.

Duskkit → While Dusklight and Duskheart are nice names, I'm betting on Duskfoot or Duskstep as being more probable names, given the fact that he's a white cat with dark-colored murder mittens.

RiverClan

Mistpaw → Mistlight, Mistshine, Mistflower, or Miststorm.

Graypaw → Graylight, Graystream, or Grayfeather.

I feel that Jayfeather would rather keel over and die than admit he needs to retire lol, but ThunderClan has had three medicine cats before so I can certainly see that happening again, and I think it would be really nice if a SpotStem kit did fill that role. Stemkit would probably get on well with Jayfeather given he’s swearing already lol

And with Whistlepaw I definitely agree she’s probably named after a grass whistle

These are all really good! And all very likely I reckon, I would be very surprised if a few of these don’t become real

Darkfeather

One of my very first OCs and he has a complicated story so now I’m making it your problem.

Born to Graystream and the recently deceased warrior Darknose, he was raised by a hurt perfectionist mother who expected him to be like his respected father. His mother was a helicopter mom, always watching him like a hawk and correcting him when he did “wrong “. He was always jealous of Sparkkit, who had the same story of a dead, revered parent, but his aloof father never “corrected” him or expected him to live up to his mother’s image. When he became an apprentice, he grew close to the former loner Frostpaw. When he went to his first Gathering, he met Brackenpaw, a lax but dutiful apprentice of ThunderClan. He enjoyed talking with the time, and soon they began meeting at the border of their Clans at night. When they became warriors, he became Frostfall’s mate, but secretly loved Brackenfoot. One night, Frostfall caught the two and followed him when he was going back to RiverClan camp. When he stopped to catch a squirrel, climbing up a wavering branch above a frozen lake, Frostfall confronted him, and he ended up drowning as he fell downwards into the ice. Frostfall brought his body back to camp, cold, desolate, and regretful. She meant no harm, but felt heartbroken and lonely with him gone. He went to StarClan, where he would wait for Brackenfoot until the tom was reunited with him.

That’s deep man.

Name meaning: Gray- fur color. Stream- cat that is not only athletic and/or agile, but one that is especially good at swimming.

Gender: Male cis.

Life mate: Daisyflower

Reproductive mate: Daisyflower

Offspring- Troutstream, Privetcloud and Bluestream.

Grandkits- Cloudkit, Sootkit, Cootkit, Foamkit, Antkit, Flamingokit (adopted), Dacekit, Chubkit and Carpkit.

Personality: Optimistic, fearless, kind of stupid, imaginative and gentle cat that is really good with kits and has limping problems. Graystream is a friendly and overall optimistic cat; he is capable of seeing the good side of everything and everyone. He is quite the fearless and reckless cat too; he is always ready for experiencing new things whether that means running into a battle blindly, trying to swim in the sea, exploring lands further from Seaclan’s territory or playing with/eating dangerous animals and plants. He is also very imaginative being capable of inventing great stories and lies to cover his various mischiefs. He is very gentle and good with kits and apprentices; with his imagination and adventurous nature he has a lot of stories to tell and the little ones in the clan love it.

Story:

Kit- He was born as the only son of a Seaclan molly and a loner. Since being a little kit he always loved adventures and would sneak out of camp and get in trouble. He was a really good swimmer even at such a young age.

Apprentice- He used to get in trouble a lot and, thanks to his imagination, he would invent crazy excuses that nobody really believed in. He still was a really good swimmer for his age being one of the best fishers in the whole clan; multiple –stream cats would take turns to show him different swimming or fishing techniques. Graystream had always been very enthusiastic about this as he felt as if the whole clan was his personal mentor.  As the time of his warrior assessment got near he became more and more rebellious getting into trouble and going out in search of adventures more often than ever. While being in a battle training with some other apprentices, he involved Daisyflower in one of his adventures making both of them receive the blame. As a punishment for his behavior his warrior assessment was delayed and Daisyflower was given the task of spending a whole day looking after him. In the end both cats bonded and became friends; Graystream would sneak out of camp with her every day to show her his cool discoveries.

Warrior- Became a –stream cat after his great swimming skills. He would still wander off a lot but, with Daisyflower as his travel companion, he focused more on clan life and started to mature. Not Daisyflower not him were ready for a life mate relationship but Daisyflower wanted to become mother so she asked the gray warrior to be the father. As excited as Daisyflower was about her yet to be born kittens, she started feeling sick and, in less than a moon, she had completely reabsorbed her kittens. There was no sign of her ever being pregnant. It was around this time that both cats decided to become life mates and face together adversities like this one. Graystream was very saddened by the news but his mate was what worried him the most. It took Daisyflower some seasons to want to become mother again. Her second pregnancy, thought painful and difficult was successful; Troutstream, Bluestream and Privetcloud were born healthy. Graystream had a great relationship with Privetcloud since the very first day the young kitten stepped outside of the nursery. The kittens grew well. Graystream was given an apprentice around the time his kits became apprentices. His apprentice was Shellcalw and they connected really well; he understood what it was to want to be joking around or having adventures all day and so her training was enjoyable for both of them. He would spend a lot of time with Bluestream and Troutstream teaching them new swimming techniques or taking then out in adventures (tough Daisyflower made sure these weren’t dangerous). Daisyflower went for a third try; her pregnancy was going worse than expected and, even though the kittens were born weak, there was some possibilities of them surviving. After some time, it became obvious that the youngest of them wouldn’t survive much time; By the time Sunheat came around the kitten had died and the marshes had started to flood taking another kitten with the waters. Daisyflower, Graystream, Bluestream and a couple of other warriors would take turns to assure than the last kitten was kept alive at all costs. Daisyflower paranoia was raising, she was constantly in guard and would attack Graystream or other cats if they got too near. In the end only Bluestream was capable of getting near her. Sometime a Spanish hound sneaked into camp and stole the kit; the clan never found the kitten not the dog. Graystream and Daisyflower started to think that they were somehow under a powerful curse that the gods had conjured themselves. Daisyflower was weak after the pregnancy and her mental state did not help at all so she retired early becoming elder. Graystream continued being a warrior and started to take care of Daisyflower spending as much time as he could with her. The last adventure Graystream took was by himself, he was wandering near the edge of the territory when he fell into a ravine heavily injuring one of his back legs. Luckily enough he was found really quickly and carried to camp where he could recover without other animals being able of attacking him. Even after the injuries he still kept being a warrior for some time until Coldsun came around and his leg got worse. Taking into consideration his mate’s condition, his age and his wound he decided to retire and focus on taking care of Daisyflower.

Elder- While he did like Otterstar he never truly accepted him as a good partner for her daughter and supports Bluestream’s wishes of remaining single. On the contrary, he loves Storkpelt; he sees her as a nice and gentle molly that perfectly fits Privetcloud personality. He loves his grandkits and loves spending time with them telling them all about his adventures and mischiefs. Daisyflower has gotten better since the kittens were born and he is grateful for that. He keeps a good relationship with Troutstream too thought he understands that his son wants his own life and so remains more like a friend then a father.

Whitekit and Blackkit redesigns are here!

Since I barely talk about them, here is the time to do so;

Whitekit and Blackkit were born outside of Midnightclan territory, nobody knew who their mother was. Graystream (Earl Grey) found the newborn kits and took them in not only as Midnightclan kits, but as his children. (This is due to the Valley Cats allowing their medicine cats to have mates and kits as long as there is another to help out)

Currently the two enjoy getting into mischief and love spending time with their dad! While Whitekit is more loud, Blackkit is much quieter than his twin sister
