Gohn glances at the toaster- burnt to a crisp as he holds the fire extinguisher tight. To his knowledge, toasters are not meant to be this hot, nor are they meant to set small areas of anything on fire (except perhaps bread. He’s positive that they do, in fact, light bread on fire for a millisecond or something). He furrows his brows for a moment- giving a sympathetic smile to the older fae. It’s not like either of them are any good with technology, but so far Gohn hasn’t really said much to Gyu about this issue. It’s not something either of them can help, after all. Fae are just... bad at this stuff. He’s pretty sure he heard a human say that once, and he can’t help but believe it.

He shakes his head a little before setting the fire extinguisher on the ground. If nothing else, he’s glad that he managed to find the thing and operate it- even if it did blast him back a good bit at first. He pats Gyu on the back lightly- still trying to be worth some sort of comfort. The fire didn’t get out of control at least. It didn’t destroy much outside of the toaster and maybe a bit of the cabinet... Hopefully that’s an easy enough fix! He moves to Gyu’s line of sight- head tilting to the side as he signs a bit quickly. He just wants to cheer the older fae up. A few words of encouragement should be worth something after all!

“Don’t be so hard on yourself. It’s just a fae thing... Maybe next time we can find a better way to toast bread?”

“For the memory card to last longer than a few hours, maybe?”

It’s with great disappointment that he reads the message on his screen, telling him in no uncertain terms that the data has been corrupted and his photos have been entirely wiped out. There’s always a risk that it’ll happen, of course - and he’s thankful that it wasn’t for work or anything too important - but it does mean he’ll have to be a little more careful with his magic. Maybe he’ll go back to film cameras for a bit; those are always fun.

Sighing, Taehyung switches off his camera, setting it back into its bag. He’s not exactly pleased but there’s not much he can do about it, and there’s never been any use in crying over spilt milk. Besides - lemonade out of lemons. This gives him a perfect excuse to finagle a snack off of Sunggyu.

“So, like- I’m sad. Really sad.” His acting skills leave much to be desired, voice deadpan. “And I think a snack would help. Eating your feelings, you know? Stuff like... Baked goods.” It’s not so much a hint or a suggestion as it is an outright request, but Taehyung’s eyes are wide and hopeful as he pulls his legs up to cross them. He is feeling a little upset, after all.

she pauses, a thoughtful expression crossing her features. her head tilts to the side, observing the male as she takes in the inquiry. it’s a bold one, to ask something so personal, something so near and dear to her, something so pivotal in her life. why doesn’t she talk about it? why indeed. 

“why would i?” her breathy voice questions. she turns her head to address the male, brows raised curiously. her tongue swipes over her lips, teeth pressing down on her bottom lip. “am i obligated to talk about such a horrid time? if you’d like, i could. what would you like to hear first? the death of my child? my kidnapping? the torment? my turning? how it felt to rip a man’s throat out with my teeth?”

her tone sounds deceptively innocent as opposed to the crude and barbaric events of her life. she blinks steadily, expression not changing from her curiosity. and then a smile tugs at her lips, a whisper of a laugh leaving as she bows her head, pushing strands of her hair behind her ear.

“or would you like to hear about the weather instead?”

who’s afraid of the big bad wolf?

Dongwoo has been accident free for a solid week; no having to sprint home butt-naked, no ripping the refrigerator door clear off his hinges, and no unsightly shape-shifting in broad daylight. But, he’s finally found himself in a predicament. It’s not bad enough to ruin his accident free streak, but this predicament of his could get worse if unchecked.

He bursts through the main entrance the minute the shop opens. There aren’t any other customers and he hopes that it remains that way, at least for awhile. He wants to be upfront about his situation. If there are people around -- normal people, at least -- he’ll have to whisper, skirt around the issue, and a whole list of nuisances he doesn’t have time for. 

The werewolf hurries to the front counter. He skirts around a few tables and chairs, but makes a racket when his hip bangs against some of them. Dongwoo isn’t deterred; he wastes no time reaching the counter and locks eyes with the only employee on duty. “Do you have something to stop hair growth?” he asks. The young man lifts his leg, rests it on the counter-top, and hikes up his jeans. His leg is completely covered in dark, coarse fur. “I have this whole Bigfoot situation that’s going on. It keeps growing back! I tried shaving it, threading it, waxing it -- that one was a bad idea --  and it pops back up like weeds. Can ya fix it?”

Taehyung’s hands slam down on the counter - gently, because loud noises aren’t fun - and he gives Sunggyu his best, most coercive, firm, intimidating look yet.

“C’mon - we’re going out.”

The weather is nothing short of stunning, and he plans on making full use of it and making sure that Sunggyu does as well, because he’s entirely sure it would do him some good to go out and about and walk around in the sunshine. The fact that he’s also a rather good source of snacks is only the icing on the cake.

If nothing else, he figures that they can get a little shopping done, and Taehyung always enjoys company to bounce ideas off of. Whatever it is, he’s determined to get Sunggyu out of his home base.

“I need to get stuff - a couple of new memory cards that won’t break within the hour - and we can do lunch. I like lunch. You like lunch. Everyone likes lunch. It’ll be fun - you’ll have fun. Let’s go?” An eager grin stretches across his face.

“I’ll even pay.”
