An MS-13 gang member nicknamed “Little Devil” or “Diablita” has been sentenced to 50 years in prison after she lured a group of men into a Long Island park where they were hacked to death with machetes.
Leniz Escobar, 24, was sentenced by Judge Joseph Bianco on Tuesday for her part in the brutal 2017 murders of Justin Llivicura, 16, Michael Lopez, 20, Jorge Tigre, 18, and Jefferson Villalobos, 18.
On the night of April 11, 2017, Escobar and co-conspirator, Keyli Gomez, drove with the four victims and a fifth man Elmer Alexander Arteaga Ruiz, 22, to a wooded area in Central Islip Park, and texted gang members of their arrival, a federal courthouse heard.
Multiple MS-13 members – Josue Portillo, Freiry Martinez, Alexis Hernandez, Edwin Rodriguez, Sergio Segovia-Pineda, Omar Antonio Villalta, Henry Salmeron, Anderson Sanchez, and others – then attacked the victims with “machetes, knives, an axe, and wooden clubs,” according to testimony at Escobar’s trial.
Ruiz, who survived after managing to run away, testified that the gang members emerged “through a hole in the fence” with their faces covered and circled the victims,The Daily Mail reported.
“They told us get down on our knees. They said, ‘Don’t move. Whoever moves, dies’,” he told the court.
The trial heard how the attack unfolded after Escobar and Gomez found two of the victims had posted photos on social media showing them wearing items and flashing hand signs that suggested they were members of MS-13.
They showed the posts to MS-13 members who confirmed they were not part of the gang and would be killed.
Ruiz testified that his friends had only posted online about MS-13 to impress girls – they “were just high school kids”, he said.
Following the murders, Escobar relished the killings and “licked their blood off her lips”, The New York Post reported a witness testified at her trial.
She bragged to other gang members about her role in the killings and told her boyfriend – who is allegedly a high-ranking member of the Brentwood MS-13 clique – that something had happened to the men, including that one fled and now “knows stuff about me”, prosecutors said.
She then tried to destroy evidence, disposing of one of the victims’ blood-stained sweatshirts, throwing her phone out of a moving vehicle while police followed her, and giving a false alibi for the night of the massacre.
After a four-week trial, Escobar was convicted in April 2022 on charges of predicate acts of murder, conspiracy to murder rival gang members, obstruction of justice, and murder in aid of racketeering.
Following Escobar’s sentencing on Tuesday, Suffolk County Police Acting Commissioner Robert Waring said in a statement: “The senseless and brutal murder of four young people... sent shockwaves across the nation. Leniz Escobar played a significant role in leading four victims to their deaths and will pay the necessary price for her part.”
Over a dozen MS-13 gang members and associates have now been charged in connection with the 2017 murders. Escobar is the fifth to be sentenced.
Gomez previously pleaded guilty to racketeering charges in connection with the murders and testified at Escobar’s trial.
MS-13 was formed by Salvadoran immigrants who came to the US in order to escape the civil war in their home country, according to the Department of Justice. MS-13 is categorized as the most violent criminal gang on Long Island, said prosecutors.

Impact of successful SQLi, examples
Three common ways SQL injection attacks can impact web apps: - unauthorized access to sensitive data (user lists, personally identifiable information (PII), credit card numbers) - data modification/deletion - administrative access to the system (-> unauthorized access to specific areas of the system or malicious actions performance) examples as always speak louder than explanations! there are going to be two of them 1. Equifax data breach (2017) - 1st way Hackers exploited a SQL injection flaw in the company’s system, breaching the personal records of 143 million users, making it one of the largest cybercrimes related to identity theft. Damages: The total cost of the settlement included $300 million to a fund for victim compensation, $175 million to the states and territories in the agreement, and $100 million to the CFPB in fines. 2. Play Station Network Outage or PSN Hack (2011) - 2nd way Tthe result of an "external intrusion" on Sony's PlayStation Network and Qriocity services, in which personal details from approximately 77 million accounts were compromised and prevented users of PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable consoles from accessing the service. Damages: Sony stated that the outage costs were $171 million. more recent CVEs: CVE-2023-32530. SQL injection in security product dashboard using crafted certificate fields CVE-2020-12271. SQL injection in firewall product's admin interface or user portal, as exploited in the wild per CISA KEV. ! this vulnerability has critical severity with a score 10. Description: A SQL injection issue was found in SFOS 17.0, 17.1, 17.5, and 18.0 before 2020-04-25 on Sophos XG Firewall devices, as exploited in the wild in April 2020. This affected devices configured with either the administration (HTTPS) service or the User Portal exposed on the WAN zone. A successful attack may have caused remote code execution that exfiltrated usernames and hashed passwords for the local device admin(s), portal admins, and user accounts used for remote access (but not external Active Directory or LDAP passwords) CVE-2019-3792. An automation system written in Go contains an API that is vulnerable to SQL injection allowing the attacker to read privileged data. ! this vulnerability has medium severity with a score 6.8.

The 2012 version of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" also had ties with Lego, which I assume may have been the last Nick show to receive Lego sets and figures. Since the show ended in 2017, roughly around the same time Traveller's Tales announced that "Lego Dimensions" was cancelled, what better way to end the show by having them in "Lego Dimensions" had its final wave not been cancelled?

seven years of waiting come to an end
Hey everybody. So today is the day of the eclipse...
or it would be, if I were writing this post today.
I'm instead writing this post yesterday because I don't know if I'll get home in time to write about actually watching the eclipse, so...
I'll probably write a super cool poem for my next post.
But today's post is better spent talking about how today's eclipse is personally significant.
...
In a more innocent time,
back in the distant year of 2017,
My mother took my brother and me to watch the August 21 eclipse at an outlet mall. With our eclipse glasses and fact sheets in tow, we sat at a bench just outside the bustling plaza to gaze up at the sky.
Of course, I wasn't fortunate enough to live anywhere near the path of totality, so we only witnessed a partial eclipse. The world grew a little darker, and a bite was missing from the once-circular sun we saw through the filtered cardboard glasses.
I still thought it was pretty cool.
Of course, in the aftermath of the eclipse, we discussed the next one we might want to go watch. This eclipse's path of totality was much closer to where we lived, so we'd be able to go watch this one in person. The only problem, however, was that it was so far off in the future.
April 8, 2024. We'd set our sights.
At the time, I was only just entering sixth grade. Though the upcoming eclipse was exciting, it was also so distant, and there were a bazillion more pressing events at the time. The eclipse would only be happening in my last year of high school, and I wasn't even a lowly sixth grader yet! Regardless, the 2024 eclipse was still something that'd stayed in the back of my mind at all times.
...
Now,
almost seven years later,
with a bazillion events behind me
and a million more unexpected ones
the eclipse is finally here.
It goes without saying that I'm a different person than I was seven years ago.
It would be insane to stay the same through all of it.
Middle school and high school,
a struggle to find friends and companionship,
the deaths of close family members,
years of just being generally nervous,
...
and of course, a global pandemic!
...
and a trillion nights spent staring up at the stars
and a few lunar eclipses too.
(lunar eclipses are pretty cool too! you might know them as "blood moons"!)
...
Today, I've found friends I'm happy with, as well as just feeling better about life in general, even if I still have my low moments.
That's just a few things that have changed.
But one thing that's held constant through it all was the anticipation for the April 2024 eclipse.
...
And now, instead of almost seven years between now and the eclipse, it's not even 24 hours anymore.
It's weird and exhilarating.
Sitting here right now, the past seven years feel like a blur.
That's not how they were, but there's an immense amount of solace in knowing there's no more difficult times or hard days left in the seven-year wait.
...
At times, I didn't even know if I'd live to see this eclipse.
Other times, the hopes of seeing this eclipse were evidence in a personally-bound argument as to why I should keep pushing on through the tough times.
...
But now is a more hopeful era.
I don't feel as if I need the promise of some astronomical event to help me see it through one more day/week anymore. I've found my own personal source of motivation now.
...
But even then, the eclipse has to have been the longest wait I've endured, and will likely ever endure too. (Sure, there's me getting out of grade school, but that's different.)
After the eclipse, I'll only have a few more clearly marked dates-I've-been-waiting-forever-for. These include my graduation from high school and the day I leave for college.
Beyond that, I have no more dates to look forward to.
It will just be me for the rest of eternity,
hopefully hacking away at personal projects
with a new type of anticipation,
not the type for some well-defined calendar date,
but instead, the anticipation for the day when I finally share my projects with the world.
...
But that's so far off into the future.
Who knows if I'll even feel like making the projects I want to make anymore once I'm that old?
For now, however,
I think I'm just going to relax,
and watch the eclipse I've waited so long for.
...
And I might not even get to see it,
because it might be cloudy.
Here's hoping it won't be.
Here's hoping the past seven years of waiting
haven't been in vain.
...
though I probably won't be devastated if it is.
regardless, the world will still fall under darkness,
albeit even if just for a few minutes.
...
It's all Waiting for Godot anymore, isn't it?
...
I still can't believe the wait is finally over.

RUMOR HAS IT ; THE COMPANY LEAK
Tumblr media
❝ RUMOR HAS IT is the name coined for the era of the unknown takeover of HANGMAN’s Twitter account. On the one-year anniversary of the group’s debut their collective Twitter was hacked by someone who called themself ‘THE DEALER’. They created a website that has all of the HANGMAN members secrets and scandals that they tried to cover up years before. Some are interconnected while others are solely about one member.
.
The group had debuted collectively on JANUARY 23RD in 2020. The group had a relatively successful debut releasing three mini albums and one full album. It wasn’t until their one-year anniversary that WATCHERS noticed something was strange about their Twitter. To this day new information is being leaked and events are being covered up. WATCHERS and other group fandoms are extremely invested in this ongoing era.

Businessmen on trial for alleged role in scheme to steal crash victims' details
In an age where data is currency, and personal information is a valuable commodity, it's no surprise that criminals are finding ever more inventive ways to exploit it. A recent court case unfolding in the UK highlights just how deep such schemes can run — blending legitimate business with illegal data mining, all under the radar of unsuspecting victims.
It's always wise to be cautious when commenting on a live court case, but nevertheless, with a few guilty pleas in the bag already, it's safe to say that something nefarious has been going on in the motor repair sector.
Companies based in Cheshire worked with individuals who would exploit an IT system used in operating car repair shops. This allowed access to the personal data of accident victims, a perennially lucrative type of personal data due to its usefulness to identify potential claimants.
A number of individuals have admitted conspiracy to unlawfully obtain personal data including one of the two still on trial. If I am reading it right, the ongoing proceedings relate to offences under the Computer Misuse Act, which unlike Data Protection Act offences carry the risk of a prison term.
My only other observation is that one of the defendants should perhaps heed Chris Rock's advice in a very funny old routine about Michael Jackson's legal misfortunes: he should get himself to Banana Republic and get a decent suit.
Two businessmen have gone on trial accused of being involved in a conspiracy to steal the private details of drivers who had been in crashes.
Thomas Daly and Craig Cornick, both from Macclesfield, have gone on trial for their alleged roles in the operation.
Daly, 35, of London Road, Macclesfield, and Cornick, 39, of Heybridge Lane, have been charged with two counts for alleged offences dating between December 1 2014 and November 30 2017. Both defendants deny the first charge of conspiracy to access computer systems without authority, with Cornick also denying a second count of conspiracy to unlawfully obtain personal data.
Daly previously pleaded guilty to a count of conspiracy to unlawfully obtain personal data.
A number of other individuals have also pleaded guilty to similar charges in relation to the alleged conspiracy, prosecutor Rick Holland told the hearing at at Bolton Crown Court on Thursday (April 10). The prosecution alleged that companies based in Cheshire associated with the defendants, which have since been dissolved, worked with individuals who would exploit an IT system used in operating car repair shops.
Mr Holland said the alleged illegal activity was carried out in addition to the lawful business carried out by the companies.
He said "their legitimate activities enabled them to disguise" the alleged illegal activity.
Laying out the prosecution case to the jury and Judge Nicholas Clarke KC, Mr Holland explained the nature of the operation. It included around 400 garages in locations stretching across England and Wales which used an IT system called Autoflow.
The unwitting garages would frequently repair cars that had been involved in car crashes. This required them to handle sensitive data including the personal details of those who had been involved in such collisions.
It was this data, Mr Holland said, which was of potential value to an illicit market as it could be sold on to parties such as claims management companies and solicitors' firms, the court heard.
These parties could then use that data to trace individuals who may be considering a personal injury claim and then market their services to them or attempt to persuade them to open such a claim.
Mr Holland said that the data was obtained by the "hacking of garage computer systems" which would hold personal information about motorists whose vehicles that garage was repairing.
This could include someone's name, address, and contact details, as well as information about their insurance policy and the nature of the accident the vehicle had been involved in.
Charges were brought after one of the garages using the Autoflow system received a number of complaints from customers about cold calls from people asking if they wanted to pursue a personal injury claim.
The court heard that the garage had then planted dummy data in their files.
An investigation from the Information Commissioner's Office led to warrants being carried out at addresses of businesses connected to the conspiracy.
Data matching that planted by the garage was subsequently found on devices recovered in these warrants. In court, Daly is represented by Mr Alistair Reid, while Cornick is represented by Mr Richard Wormald KC and Mr Ryan Dowding.
While the trial continues, it stands as a stark reminder of how even the most seemingly mundane data — an address, a name, an insurance claim — can be turned into a valuable asset for bad actors. With the rise of cybercrime intersecting with everyday business operations, the lines between legitimate and illicit have never looked more blurred. The outcome of this case may very well set a precedent for how seriously such breaches are treated moving forward.

A Look at Bitcoin's Most Substantial Price Swings
Tumblr media
Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are investment vehicles that can pay big dividends, but are also prone to volatility. Bitcoin's price, for example, can increase or decrease by as much as 10 percent in a single day due to a myriad of factors, including economic performance, interest rates, world events, and regulatory actions. Cryptocurrency is also a relatively new asset class for which traditional valuation methods do not apply, as it has no cash flow or the ability to pay dividends.
Highlighting its rapid rise and volatility, Bitcoin was traded at one-tenth of one cent when it debuted in late 2009 and reached a peak price of $73,844 on March 15, 2024. That's a massive increase of 7,384,400 percent, although it hasn't been a linear rise, rather one that has had dramatic swings in price, both increases and decreases.
The price of Bitcoin exceeded $1 in February 2011 and, by June, one coin was worth more than $30. However, it finished 2011 with a value of $4.70, down more than 90 percent from the all-time high it achieved earlier in the year. This was due in large part to Mt. Gox, a Bitcoin exchange that filed for bankruptcy in 2014, revealing hackers had stolen millions of dollars worth of the crypto from hundreds of accounts.
Bitcoin's price started climbing again in 2013 due to several factors, including the advent of Bitcoin ATMs that allowed people to exchange fiat money for crypto. It reached $230 in value in April 2013 and peaked for the year at $1,200 before experiencing declines due to Mt. Gox's bankruptcy and China banning financial institutions from using the cryptocurrency.
The period of 2014-16 was relatively uneventful for Bitcoin, but was an important one for decentralized finance, with widespread adoption of smart contracts and the shift to proof-of-stake from proof-of-work, a more labor-intensive transaction processing known as mining.
On December 17, 2017, Bitcoin's price reached a new high of $19,497.40, due to a combination of factors, including greater visibility and trading accessibility and the crypto's third halving in late 2016. Halving is a process in which the rate at which additional coins are generated is reduced, lowering the number of new coins entering the market, which in turn generally increases price and demand for the coins.
The massive price increase didn't alter Bitcoin's volatility. It declined 84 percent year-over-year by December 2018 due to hacks in Japan and South Korea, with both countries also threatening to ban the cryptocurrency. Bitcoin also lost half its value in just two days in the early stages of the pandemic, and declined from more than $10,000 in February to less than $4,000 in March. However, the pandemic and the worldwide shutdown ultimately helped Bitcoin, giving people increased confidence in the feasibility of decentralized finance, particularly Bitcoin.
By the end of 2020, Bitcoin's price had reached $29,000. In April of the following year, it surpassed $60,000 due to an increase in interest among institutional investors and Coinbase, a secure exchange with more than 250 cryptocurrencies going public. However, its price dropped by 53 percent the next month due to new regulations in China, concerns about the environmental impact of mining, and Elon Musk rescinding his promise to allow people to purchase Tesla cars with Bitcoin.
In 2022, Bitcoin's price fell below $16,000, but it has risen significantly in the last year or two in large part due to the SEC allowing investors to trade Bitcoin in exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

How Have I Survived?
The state of one's mental health isn't something to take lightly, regardless of their gender or other factors of who they are as a person.
I've been reflecting lately about my life over the last 7 years and wonder how I'm still going, despite so many setbacks that have had seriously negative impacts on my mental health.
My grandmother's heart attack in late-August of 2017.
My best friend passing away 5 days after I last heard from her in mid-September of 2017.
My trip to the ER for gastroenteritis (commonly referred to as the stomach flu) and serious dehydration in November 2017.
Struggling on getting results on dating apps, despite how many I was putting myself out there on for several years.
Having no personal life (social life and dating life) for years on end due to my 3rd shift schedule.
Nearly taking my own life in the Summer of 2019 due to a serious number of things that were happening at the time.
Losing my grandmother in October 2019, who had been there for me for my entire life.
Losing 3 of my biggest YouTube channels in less than 24 hours due to the MarkScan Enforcement debacle in April 2020.
Losing a lot of money due to an ex-best friend and his ex-girlfriend screwing me over in various ways between the Summer of 2019 and Fall of 2020.
The massive drama involving my ex-girlfriend named Red in 2021 and 2022, which messed me up for 2 years.
Struggling with my sexuality and coming to terms with it in August of 2022.
One of my YouTube channels getting hacked in July of 2022 (which I was able to get back through YouTube's team shortly thereafter).
Getting COVID-19 in May of 2022.
Getting my heart broken in September of this year after falling in love with someone who I had been dating for almost 5 months, who didn't love me back.
The panic attack that I was stricken with in February of 2021 at work.
Getting my personal information doxed by trolls who went after me in 2023 (and for a period prior to it) due to a person that I was friends with at the time, which also involved deliveries of pizzas and religious literature to my home.
Being stalked by an ex-friend (Alabama Stalker) since mid-2021.
I might be forgetting some other things within that period, but those are the ones that I can easily remember off the top of my head, even if some things are out of chronological order.
I look back at those things and wonder to myself, "How have I continued to keep going despite all of this?" Never sought therapy or any kind of mental health assistance, yet I'm still somehow going.

An associate of the MS-13 gang will spend five decades behind bars for luring four men to their deaths at a Central Islip park seven years ago, authorities said Tuesday.
Leniz Escobar, 24, also known as “Diablita” or “Little Devil,” was sentenced to 600 months in prison for her role in the killing of four men after their brutal execution at the hand of MS-13 gang members in April 2017, according to prosecutors.
Escobar lured five young men — including Justin Llivicura, Michael Lopez, Jorge Tigre, and Jefferson Villalobos — to a wooded area in a Central Islip park to smoke marijuana. But when they got there, according to prosecutors, MS-13 gang members were waiting.
They ambushed the five young men and used machetes, knives, wooden clubs, and an axe to hack them to death because they believed they were part of a rival gang, authorities said.
After the brutal attack, Escobar bragged about the killings with other MS-13 gang members, according to prosecutors.
The victims ranged in age from 16 to 20. One of them, Elmer Alexander Artiaga-Ruiz, escaped as the attack began, and ended up testifying against Escobar at trial.
In April 2022, Escobar was convicted of racketeering, including predicate acts of murder and conspiracy to murder rival gang members, after a four-week trial.
“The defendant demonstrated her allegiance to the MS-13 gang by luring four young men to their slaughter,” United States Attorney Breon Peace said. “Today’s significant sentence reflects not only the seriousness of her conduct but also the consequences of her actions including the terror and suffering experienced by the victims, and the life-altering grief that their families continue to suffer.”

October 2017
Oct 17 Accidentally pulled a crown out while flossing. Took the dentist just 5 minutes to re-crown me.
Oct 19 TSH is 6.75!
Oct 27 My very first "real" journal entry is 30 years old today!
November 2017

Nov 17 Making one last-ditch effort to try to combat the problem with traffic waking me up with a $25 pillow sound machine. Fingers crossed!
Nov 19 Getting new windows for the bedroom as I've had it with this shit. Ruining my peace is one thing, stealing my sleep is another.
Nov 27 Stepping into Psycho is now finished with just under 24K words!
December 2017
Dec 2 So SO fucking pissed and so fucking tired of dealing with the same old health issues year after year. My white blood cell count is slightly elevated, my cholesterol is bad, and my TSH jumped from 6 to 11. WTF? How???
Dec 4 Back from my PCP appt. She wants me to see a hematologist. :(
Aly made my day by tweeting me a birthday wish, though not directly. While I found it a bit odd that she didn’t tweet directly to me, I really appreciate the birthday wish!
Dec 8 Thrilled to hear from Aly!
So glad I never met with Marie in 2010 as I've come to realize just how fucked-up she is. She didn't do anything to me but I had an interesting chat with her ex. I'll always care about her but she is really screwed up probably beyond help.

Bitcoin's 14-year history of ups and downs
In 2010, the first record of Bitcoin exchange with legal currency was: 100 million Bitcoins were exchanged for 2 pizzas, worth $25, equivalent to $0.0025 per Bitcoin. Based on the current Bitcoin price of 60,000, it has risen 24 million times. The 10,000 Bitcoins bought with the original 2 pizzas are worth $600 million today.
Throughout 2010, the highest value of a Bitcoin was $0.5. At that time, you invested $1,000 and got about 2,000 Bitcoins. It is worth about $120 million now, which can buy 200 Rolls-Royce Phantoms.
Although Bitcoin has created one wealth miracle after another, many people regret "missing Bitcoin" and can't sleep at night. In fact, for anyone, even if you have Bitcoin in 2011, there is a 99.99999999% probability that you can't hold on to it until now. Let me review the early history of Bitcoin's plunge.
Tumblr media
In June 2011, Bitcoin soared from $0.95 to $32, but by November, Bitcoin had plummeted 94% to $2.
In January 2013, Bitcoin rebounded and rose to more than $7. Many investors believed that Bitcoin would approach the high of $32 again, or even set a new high. But then, Bitcoin fell again by 49%, and by the end of January it had fallen to around $3.8.
In April 2013, due to the emergence of many new exchanges, new investors, and increased media exposure, Bitcoin soared to $260. However, with the interruption of the operation of Mt.GoX, the world's largest Bitcoin exchange at the time, Bitcoin fell again to $40, a drop of 80%.
At the end of 2013, Bitcoin rose to $1,200 after a "roller coaster-like" trend, which shocked and attracted worldwide attention, but then Bitcoin began a long bear market that lasted 411 days.
In February 2014, Mt.Gox was hacked and declared bankruptcy, and Bitcoin fell from $600 to $102, a drop of 80%.
In January 2015, Bitcoin fell to a low of $150. In fact, the bear market in 2014 shattered the faith of countless people.
Subsequently, Bitcoin rose from $152 to nearly $20,000 in December 2017, and then fell to a low of $3,050.
In March 2020, Bitcoin rose from a low of $3,122 to $13,800, and then fell to $3,850.
In June 2021, Bitcoin fell from a high of $64,843 to $8,800.
Although the above-mentioned history of the plunge seems insignificant under the premise that Bitcoin is currently $60,000, ask yourself, if it were you or me, would you still firmly believe in Bitcoin when the retracement is so large? I think it is difficult for most people to do this. I believe that if everyone is given the same opportunity again, even if someone once told you that Bitcoin will make you rich, Tesla and Nvidia are bull stocks… there will still be many people who miss it.
