also i’m not going to say that checkout belts can’t be especially gross or anything, but if you’re going to be paranoid about putting clothes on them i fear i must inform you there’s a really high chance those clothes have been on the floor. possibly also tried on by multiple people too. just wash your clothes when you get home and don’t “hand them” to me your cashier by holding them too high for me to reach

aside from not really being able to sit down (and i’m scheduled for 8 1/2 hour shifts lol) i actually like my job? customers mostly haven’t been too bad, thankfully. i like cashiering, tbh. i like strategizing the best way to bag things and telling moms “oooh this is really cute” about kids’ clothes and toys, i like working front desk and solving people’s problems at self check out or returns, i like running through the online pickup area to find orders, i like returning returned and misplaced items to shelves, etc etc. i like my coworkers, management both has their shit together and makes sure we’re adequately staffed. it’s certainly not smth that i necessarily want as my only job forever lmao, but i do enjoy the tasks it must be said
